Timestamp in portal

Production - DB 10.2.0.4
Midtier Portal Version 10.1.4.2
oas - 10.1.2.3
While in the Navigator to determine when an object has been executed. I am able to click on the provider named APP_RESIDENT_LIFE
Then I select the action "Manage" assigned to the object which is dynamic page called "Place Properties Data Download"
Next I select the "Manage" tab
Then I select the "Monitor" action and it shows a list of users who have executed the program in question.
Next I click on the user in question and there are many columns with two columns of interest in detemining when this program was executed.
1st. START_TIME column only shows the date both of which were yesterday '01-AUG-11'
2nd. DBMS_START_TIME showing 1543167539 and 1543120124
My question is: How do I determine the actual time this program was run by this particular user. Is there an additional function which these DBMS_START_TIMES need to be run against to get the clock time or miltary time. Either is acceptable.
Need this information as quickly as possible.

You can query PORTAL.WWLOG_ACTIVITY_LOGS where the domain = 'wwv' to see activity on portal components such as reports and dynamic pages. Add a format mask to the start_time column to see both the date and time.

  • Help with File Upload manually

    Hi Experts,
I need code to upload a file without using the upload UI Element. we have our terms and conditions which has to be signed by the user and once the user signs and clicks the next button to go to the next page, I generate a pdf with the time stamp of when the user signed and upload it to ECC. here i can not use the File upload UI Element but have to upload it automatically to ECC.
Can any one help me out with this please.
    Thanks

    Hi,
I dont know why you need to to upload the file for this requirement. You can simply store the user id and the timestamp in portal database table or in a ECC z table.
In case you definitely need to upload the file then you can use KM API to uploadthe file to portal KM folder
    http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/a099a3bd-17ef-2b10-e6ac-9c1ea42af0e9?quicklink=index&overridelayout=true
but you need not use the upload feature in the example, instead just get the data from wd context and upload to KM.

  • Self Service Portal UTC Timestamp

    Hi All,
Service Manager 2012 R2 UR3 Self Service Portal Question. I've seen several mentions of this on the forums, but either for the 2010 portal or listed as a bug that no longer exists on Connect.
A user selects a date on the portal using local time, it is inserted as UTC time. However, I need the date to continue to be in local time for custom forms and notification templates. Any work arounds for this?
    Thanks,
    Z

    Hi,
Its good that u pasted the complete log file. In your environment you have to run this upgrade tool only once from any of the middle tier.
And with respect to your error that u got in precheck is quite simple. All u have to do is just run this script from by connecting to portal schema using sqlplus.
    Run dropupg.sql
    Location-------- /raid/product/OraHome_1/upgrade/temp/portal/prechktmp/dropupg.sql
Later you re-run the upgrade tool and let me know the status.
    Good luck

  • Is it possible to have SSO between R/3 4.6 and Enterprise Portal 7?

I am trying to configure an R/3 transaction between R/3 4.6 and SAP EP 7.0. I have fulfilled all of the requirements for configuring SSO between Portal and R/3. I guess it is the ITS server that is running on a Windows machine. When I run the iView it gives me the logon screen of the WebGui service on ITS asking for user name and Password. Please help.

I am having also the same issue. <br><br>
Our existing portal 6.0 via ITS 6.20 to 4.6C backend SSO is working fine.<br><br>
However we just installed SAP NW Portal 7.0 and like to connect via ITS 6.20 to 4.6C using same configuration.
I configure the SSO and  make sure things is there. It still does not working and keep asking for username and password.<br><br>
I configure another iView and use SAP GUI for Windows with test tcode SP02 and preview it, I could automatically connect to the system with SP02 screen.<br><br>
I wonder for this case the SSO does not work via ITS 6.20 whereas iView with SAP GUI for Windows work perfectly.<br><br>
The trace I get for SSO via ITS 6.20 is just one line<br><br>

  • Portal Activity Report -- Simplification?

    Hi all,
I've been working with the Portal Activity Report iView for a couple of weeks now trying to develop some metrics for our company to measure the portal usage by. I didn't have any problems with the user reports, but I had <b>a lot of issues with the iview/page reports</b>.  Although I sucessfully found and charted the <b>daily data</b>, it took a painstakingly long time because of several factors:
                 - There was so much data that I had to shift through for about 1.5 months, upwards of 11000 rows.
                 - I did not need most of the data as this is the first report being generated for the company, they just want more general metrics rather than detailed metrics. However, the company may still want reports on the other data later on, so we can't just disable the collection of data on most of our iViews.
                 - The format of the date column in the iView/Page report did not sort well in Excel. Instead, I had to convert the dates to the more traditional mm/dd/yyyy format so that they sorted properly. This didn't take too long, but it was still an issue.
                 - Unfortunately, when the portal was deployed, and still now, we do not have naming conventions for our iViews. This resulted in there being many object names (column heading) that were the same even though they were different iViews and pages (for example, an "About" iView exists on many pages). The only way to differentiate them was based on the PCD location, which is very long and not the best way to have to look at and sort through data.
                 - Lastly, we only collected data for iViews/Pages that got at least 2 hits. This was fine for iViews/Pages that usually got 10 or more hits per day. However, for iViews that didn't get 2 on any given day, no data was reported. This is what we intended, obviously. But it became a problem when I went to go graph the data because I was using line charts with multiple lines (series) on them (for example, I grouped all the different search iViews onto one line chart to compare which search pages are getting used the most). Here is an example graph that I had to create dates and 0's for because the bottom two series had days were missing some days because they got less than 2 hits: <a href="http://img509.imageshack.us/img509/7365/examplegraphvd8.jpg">Example Graph</a>.  Some of the series wouldn't have the same number of points because there were some days that were missing because they got less than 2 hits. This meant I had to go back and manually add in rows of missing dates along with 0 hits to make the graph correct.
So, now that I've detailed the problems and issues, here is my real problem going forward. The executives would like monthly reports on the portal. Ideally, this process would be as automatic as possible. I was hoping people could <b>suggest best practices</b> for gathering and sorting through the data so that it doesn't take anywhere near as much time to group and identify key iViews and pages. Is there <b>any way to selectively download data</b> about iViews/Pages without turning off the data collection on other iViews/Page? Also, is there any way to automate the downloading of the iView/Page and User reports from the portal given a time interval such as every 30 days? Has anyone else run into similar problems in their own positions and, if so, can you make suggestions about how you have improved the reporting and charting process? Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Thank you.

    Hi Ariel,
Check the database table WCR_WEBCONTENTSTAT, and see if any data is being generated. This will determine if the problem is data generation or the reporting of the data.
If there is no data, the only possibility is that the Montiro Hits is false, but this is not the default and is unlikely.
If there is data, check the aggregationlevel field and the timestamp of the data, and create a report for this period and aggregation level. For example, if the aggregation level is "q" generate a quarterly report for the time period.
    Hope this helps.

    Hi James Bond
From the exception above, it can be seen that the AppIntegrator iView is trying to run on the "SAP_LocalSystem" where it should be running on a "real" backend system.
Please check what is the System alias in this iView and make sure it points on a backend system which has the same alias in the Portal System landscape.
    Hope that helps,
    Robin Hood.

  • SSO FROM SAP R/3 TO PORTAL

    Need help.
I need to logon portal without usrname and password from sap r/3 after I have logon  r/3 successfully.
I think SSO is a easy way.
    but now it's not successful.
    It's my process:
Change the login/create_sso2_ticket and login/accept_sso2_ticket to value 1
Use tcode strustsso2 download the system .crt
Use portal system administrator->system configuration to upload the .crt
Use protal visual administrator-->security provider to choose EvaluateTicketloginModule BasicPasswordLoginModule CreateTicketLoginModule TO SAP-J2ee-Engine.
Use visual administrator-->security provider->User management to change the EvaluateTicketLoginModule:
    trustedsys1  trusteddn1 ume.configuration.active=true trusteddiss1.
    That'all.
    But it doesn't work.

    Hey Ji,
Firstly login/accept_sso2_ticket  parameter should be set to 1 & login/create_sso2_ticket should be 2.
If you wanna check your SSO configuration for your systems involved you can download and run SSO diagtool as it is described in note 957707.
Please set the trace level for the security component in the ABAP system to trace level 3 as outlined in section 'Logging and tracing' of note 701205 (remember Trace level '3' NOT '2')
    Please then recreate the error
    /usr/sap/<SID>/<InstID>/j2ee/cluster/server<n>/log/defaulttracesX.trc
    SM50 trace
After running the DIAGTool you can check the file named diagtool_<timestamp>.html to see whih of your configuration is giving errors.
Hope it helps.Do award point if found helpful.
    Regards,
    Gourav.

  • Timestamp in Java log and trace files.

    Hi SAP'ies
Running PI 7.11 on AIX 6.3 we face an issue with the content of log and trace files from Java.
    Eg.
The file DefaultTrace_00.0.trc is timestamped 18-05-10 11:16:15. (The same time as the time of the OS/AIX)
Looking inside the file the last statement is timestamped 2010 05 18 09:16:15.
How can we ensure that the content of these Java files are timestamped with OS time?
Looking into ABAP files like dev_w0 the timestamp of the file and the content are equal.
    Best regards,
    Teddy Løv Andersen

    Hello All
Best way to convert the default trace time is , visit the site
    http://www.csgnetwork.com/epochtime.html

Any ideas why this might be, if im doing something wrong and how to fix?
    Thank you

I have had the same issue, the fault is caused by the time zone in the sponsor groups being set by default to UTC, so if you are in London the accounts wont become available until UTC time. The best practice is to add a local time zone and remove UTC at initial configuration
To resolve this create a new local time zone in Guest Access>Settings>Guest Locations and SSIDs then under Guest Access>Configure>Sponsor Groups amend the time zone properties in each sponsor group
One other problem is if you do not remove this at initial configuration you don't seem to be able to get rid of UTC, not really an issue unless you forget when creating new sponsor groups

  • Report on portal Sessions

    hi
Our requirement needs more information than portal Activity report provides.
We want to look at the History of the people who logged into the portal ...say for past 10 days or some other time interval.
The report should give info like (User id , Logged in Timestamp, Logged Out timestamp).  We dont really need what iViews they are accessing etc..
Can anyone please verify whether i can achieve this with content of table WCR_USERSTAT. I am not sure whether this table has the history of the users or the current users when the aggregator serivce ran.
    Thanks for your help..
    Chiranjeevi.

    Hi Chiranjeevi,
The database tables give info on each login of a user, but not on logoffs. You could create the report you mention with the WCR_USERSTAT table but without the loggoff info.
More info on the database tables is at http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/48/6aa9429b930b31e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm.
    Hope this helps.

  • IE8 portal login with URL

    HI,
We have a login problem with IE and portal 7.0.
When we open login window in IE with IP address,
    http://192.168.3.33:50100/irj/portal
all works and is OK, but with URL by name as
    http://bitest.you.com:50100/irj/portal
we got an yellow '! ' mark in left corner of the IE and after username/password nothing happens - on error message, just the same login window. When you insert wrong password, error message is displayed.
Doubble click on yello '!' mark shows message:
    Webpage error details

Have already read SAP Note 1462523 and iexplore -nomerge doesn't help.
    Regards,
    Mart

    Hi,
SAP Support solves this problem and their answer is:
Please note that the issue is not related to Enterprise Portal but
    caused by Internet Explorer.
The issue is with the number of dots in the url (<host>.xxx.xx works
perfectly well), but only with urls with the
specific format, where the domain and sub-domain have two characters (
    <host>.xx.xx does't work) in your case 'eklsapbitest.yo.ee'.
Internet Explorer does not allow cookies to be set for such a domain -
it treats it as a top-level domain. Microsoft has acknowledged that thisis a problem in IE (cf. Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 310676:
    http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;310676).
Microsoft has also provided a fix for this issue (which involves
applying a service pack and editing the registry). In addition to this
fix, you can have the below two workarounds:
    1. Redirect requests for 'eklsapbitest.yo.ee' to 'eklsapbitest.XXX.ee'.
    2. Change the portal domain from 'yo.ee' to 'xxx.yo.ee'

    Mart

  • Timestamp field in Generic Data sourcce.

    Hi All,
i have created a generic datasource using tables vbrp,vbrk.mara,marc,knvv.. to get the sales data for planning. Here i have document created date and time.So i'm concatinating these 2 date and time fields into timestamp which is of format yyyymmddhhmmss. Finally i'm using this timestamp to extract data .
So is it the right way to pull the data using timestamp and what is the timezone i need to specify as the servers are in india only.
or any other way to proceed.
    Thanks
    Rao.

    Hi VS,
The following are the delta specific fields that can be  used while creating a generic data source.
    1. Time stamp - The field is a DEC15 field which always contains the time stamp of the last change to a record in the local time format.
    2. Calendar day - The field is a DATS8 field which always contains the day of the last change.
    3. Numerical pointer - The field contains another numerical pointer that appears with each new record
Also the following are some useful links about delta setting in generic datasources.
