Timewarp Effect, Gone In CS5.5?

Sorry to ask such basic questions that may have already been answered a while ago, but I'm new to PP.
I came across a tutorial on the timewarp effect. However, it was for CS4. Apparently this effect was not brought forward to CS5.
Correct?
It appears that there is a timewarp effect in After Effects. Is this the same effect as the one that used to be in Premiere?
If I get After Effects, will the After Effects (such as timewarp) be available in Premiere?
Or do I have to link to AE?
I wonder why Adobe removed this effect from Premiere. Seems like it was a decent slow motion effect, similar (but I'm sure not quite the same) as Twixtor. At least in terms of it's use of Pixel Motion to create new frames.

Gone in CS5+. If you want it back, do this thing: Adobe Feature Request/Bug Report Form
If you use Time Warp on a clip in AE, so long as you use Dynamic Link to bring that comp into Premiere Pro, you can functionally "use" Time Warp in your sequence. Count on hellacious render times; it might be better to render out of AE and import that clip into Premiere Pro.
EDIT: To use Dynamic Link, you need the Production Premium bundle. Since you said "if I get After Effects," does this imply you have Premiere Pro only? If so, you'll have to use the render/import workflow instead of Dynamic Link--there is no way to use DL with the standalone versions of Pr and AE.

Timewarp effect not applied when rendered from Media encoder CC

The timewarp effect (enabled using console veiw in PPRO CC) does nothing to footage when rendered through Media encoder...
It does however render when not sending it to the queue, and rendering straight from PPRO.

Just hoping to raise attention of this...as I believe this should be a normal supported feature of PP as it once was back in CS3 days.....
Normal frame blending interpolation doesn't really cut it, and round tripping to AE is overkill for something already built into PPro....
But at least it's in there in some form

Timewarp effect in Ae CS6 causing footage to flash (some frames darker than those on either side)

I have a clip sent from Pr CS6 to Ae CS6 that had some time remapping applied to speed up a portion of the clip. Although the dynamic link didn't work as expected, moving the in/out points of my clip from Pr in Ae, so that the footage in Ae was wrong, I was able to work around that by manually adjusting the footage in Ae to match what I started with in Pr (so much for dynamic link). That's not the worst of it, however. I sent this clip to Ae in order to add some motion blur to the newly faster footage to remove the strobing, using the timewarp effect. There is something funky going on when rendered, and it is different each time it is rendered. This is true in Ae AND in the clip that appears back in Pr. Sometimes it is perfect, but others some frames get darker, as if they are 2-3 stops darker, but only individual frames, and the placement is rather random between renders. I've checked the original clip in Ae, as well as the first comp of the original clip (2 of 3 pieces created in the project by dynamic link), and neither show these artifacts. Only the final comp, which has the timewarp effect on it to add motion blur, has this artifact, even in Ae. So, it must be related to the timewarp effect.
I've added 3 consecutive frames of one instance so you can see what I mean. Check out the middle frame.
When played back at full speed, this produces a very noticeable and annoying flashing. The last render I did had 5-6 of these weird frames. Any ideas on what could be causing this?

you have written a lot, but said very little. Rather than vague descriptions of the blue sky, exact info about framerates, exact settings, render settings, system info and so on would be much more useful. The answer probably is that either your footage is interlaced or you are using crooked values for your Timewarp, resulting in adjacent semi-transparent frames.

How to identify and remove duplicate plugin effects from AE cs5 please?

hello,
i installed some trial plug in effects for AE and PPRO cs5
cycore, boris, trapcode
the PPRo went great
however, with the AE i get notices that multiple instances of 'such and such' effect
is installed more than one time...there's about 15 that give me a warning each time i start AE...
i tried my best to locate any duplicates but no luck
How do you identify and remove duplicate plug in effects for AE CS5?

it is nice when you can answer your own question...
looked in 'common...media core...' and found the new blue trial plugins
also had the duplicates of the new blue plugins in the AE plugins 'effects' folder
deleted the plugins from the 'media core' folder
no more warning signs...

Can't find NOISE REDUCTION EFFECT in PPRO CS5

Hey guys!
I am just digging through my CS5 PPRO for last hour or so - an simply can't seem to find any kind of NOISE REDUCTION EFFECT...
NOISE and GRAIN effect folder is made only of NOISE PRODUCING effects...
Is it possible that there isn't one in there??? I tried numerous other effects, thinking maybe there be some de-noiser in them, but nothing (only DE-NOISER effect is AUDIO one)...
I simply shot footage with high ISO and wanna try to remove some noise from it.... Sounds like preaty basic effect, that I remember was present even in programs like VIRTUAL DUB!!!!
Can you give me any hint on this one???

Thnx for updating me with info for 3rd party noise removers....
But I remember that earlier PREMIERES had some noise remover....
But trust me, I've been trying them for last few hours - these NOISE related EFFECTS in PPRO CS5 v.503 - are all just noise adding effects!!! None of them (at least with word NOISE in their name don't reduce it!!!!)
Oh, please prove me wrong!:)

Problems with timewarp effect!

I am very new to more advanced software for cinematography. I found this timewarp effect in After Effects that works just AMAZING! My problem was by default it cuts the end of my video when I attempt to dramatically slow it down. (Again still does an amazing job!) I've searched all over the Adobe website including the help files and forums, but nothing that anyone suggested worked. I applied time remapping before I used the timewarp effect. Nothing changed! I time stretched the video and applied timewarp at 100% to prevent cutting. Timewarp didn't work! So if any professional can help me here and explain my dilemma and a solution in the easiest words possible, that would be most appreciated. One other note: Anyone know the best place to get online tutorials (possibly free)? Thanks. Please respond.

It seams as if all my workspaces, tools, and effects in Illustrator CS5.1 have gone missing..

So I opened up Illustator this morning, and had none of the workspace tools, or UI elements im used to, only the canvas. I assumed they were hidden, so pressed tab, but that did nothing either. I looked though the menu items, and where the settings for disabiling and adding UI elements usally is, there was nothing. Also, it apears all of the effects are gone too. Ive attached some screen shots of the issue.
Any help would be appricated! This obviously is a huge issue for my workflow..

UPDATE: I deleted my .plst file, and that seamed to fix the issue. Sorry for not doing this sooner, but if anyone else has had this issue, that seams to be the fix!

IMovie special effects gone with 08?

are the special effects from imovie gone? im talking about where you can put clips in slow motion and reverse them, do lightning effects, and mirror. i cant figure out how to get to them if they're still there.

i just imported some of my old clips from iMovie 06. it stripped them of the effects though, thats why i wanted to know how to add them again and everywhere i've looked they're saying that there aren�t any right now. i might ask apple if they plan on adding them and will it be a free upgrade because i know more people than me are hurt by this lack of effects
as for making new projects, i clicked the "+" in the bottom left hand corner, and it let me create a new project. they keep all of your old clips in the same "bank" though, they're not separate. but unfortunately they don't keep your movies how they were the old iMovie, they give you bare clips. you have to make them again, unless you had effects, then you cant because of the obvious.

Creating fade in fade out effect in catalyst cs5

Hi there ive just downloaded the flash catalyst cs5 trial version and am trying
to create a fade in fade out effect with my pictures so i can upload to my
website. Ive been on it for two days now and am getting no where
anybody have any suggestions on how to do it. Ive tried alot of tutorials

To make maters worse all the tutorials i use seem to have different cs5 installed than me
they seem to have more features. They say click on this and click on that but i dont even
have what they say in my menus??? man why cant it be easy just upload the photos

Saving After Effects CC for CS5.5 use

Hi Guys,
This might be a stupid question, but how do you save an After Effects CC project so that it can open/be used in CS5.5?
I know that InDesign has something called an IDML file, is there something similar in After Effects?

Glad you found and downloaded the application from that page.
In addition to that link, you should be able to download CS6 applications from Creative Cloud for desktop.
Open Creative Cloud for desktop.
Click "Apps"
Scroll down to "Find New Apps"
Click "Sort Apps By" in the adjacent menu
Choose "Previous Version"
Click the Install button of the application you wish to download
Choose "CS6"
The application will begin to download
Personally, I had to reboot my computer to have these options. Try that if you have trouble with the steps I just listed.
Another way to reach the CS6 downloads page is to do the following:
Go to adobe.com
Scroll the mouse to view the adobe.com "footer"
Click Downloads, the "CC Product Trials" page launches
Click "Other Downloads"
On the Other Downloads page, click "CS6"
The CS6 downloads page launches
I was also able to find CS6 applications by clicking the Search link and entering "Download CS6" in the search pod. The top result in the search is "Download CS6 applications." If you click that link, it leads you to the page to download CS6 applications.
I have raised this issue with my team. We hope to have CS6 applications more discoverable from adobe.com in the future.

FCP XML Effects in Audition CS5.5

Through a very long series of circumstances, I have an XML file and multiple OMF files of a film's audio. The editor is based out of LA and I am on the east coast and communication has been...difficult at the best. Essentially I am very ready for this process to be over.
So the XML files opens like a charm, everything in place and whatnot. However my problem is that Audition loses 15/18 audio effects and does not tell me which tracks the effects were lost from, where they were, etc. Is there any way to fix this without going into Final Cut with the XML file and individually seeking out and reapplying each individual effect in Audition? I tried searching and reading the FAQ's but I could not find anything.
I have Final Cut Pro 7 and Adobe Audition CS5.5 available to me, both running on Snow Leopard. Thanks!

Sorry but the short answer is no - I'm not aware of any conversion application (other than a daw specific one like Ses2Sesx) which will not only read another daw's session details but also it's fx details.

Problem with cue point from After Effects to Flash (CS5.5)

anyone has, or has not problems reading, in Falsh, cue points included with After Effects? (Navigartion cue points).
It is possible export from Flash movie in .flv format? (Both versione CS5.5).

No I don't believe it's the footage, as I've been able to transfer the same files on my school computer and use it with ease.It's just any type of footage, if I attempt to drag any of my imported files (whether they're images of any kind or .mp4, .mov, .wav, .mp3) just as I would click and hold the file, my cursor turns into the Mac loading ball. Perhaps is there something these programs require such as Java? I'm not sure if it's related, but I've also not been able to play some games via Steam that I have been able to play in the past with the same system.

Scale Strokes & Effects in Photoshop CS5

The Scale Strokes & Effects-option used to reside in the Preferences dialog box.
Seems like it has been removed in CS5, anyonene know why, or where a simmilar function
may be found?
Thing is, when i add a Stroke (Layer Effect) to a layer, the thickness stays the same when I
transform/resize(ctrl-T) that layer. I really need the border to shrink accordingly as shown in
the image below.
A workaround would be to convert the layer to a Smart Object, but when working with all too many
layers, it's more about saving time.

Don't remember seeing such an option in Preferences. You are getting confused with Illustrator.

I have followed installation instructions for some purchased effects. the instructions said if they were not showing up to delete the mediadata files. Once I did that, the effects on editior are gone. All of them. How do I get them back?
