TimeZone data update/patch?

Hi,
In three weeks, Indiana will begin observing Daylight Savings Time for the first time, and several Indiana counties will be switching from Eastern Time to Central Time (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daylight_savings_time#Indiana). This change will have an impact on some legacy code in one of my company's applications which uses the java.util.TimeZone class to retrieve a TimeZone based on a zone String passed to the TimeZone.getTimeZone method.
Is there any patch or other mechanism available that would allow us to update the TimeZone data for our JVM? The version that I'm working with is j2sdk1.4.2_07, but I anticipate that we'll also need to update our 1.5 environments as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

The Indiana TZ change is apparently part of tzdata2005m, which is included in 1.5.0_06 and 1.4.2_11.
You'd have to update all the JVMs running your program (unless you're bundling a JVM yourself).

sorry, i guess i wasn't clear. i meant the timezone data version, such as tzdata2005m, tzdata2005n, etc. or at least the dates, etc. for the data.
w/the upcoming US DST changes & the recent australian DST monkey business i'd like to know which servers (ie JVM version) are going to be giving me tz heachaches.

How to accurately test if timezone data is updated?

Dear Sir,
I updated JRE 1.5.0_13 with the newly released tzupdater version. The output of the command:
#java -jar tzupdater.jar -V
tzupdater version 1.3.0-b01
JRE time zone data version: tzdata2007h
Embedded time zone data version: tzdata2007h
Even through it shows that the tzdata used by JRE is updated, I was interested to know if there is any other method that can systematically find out if the timezone data is updated eg. By displaying the date of a country that uses DST whose details have been newly updated by tzupdate.

I don't bother going online when I am using maps except when I am using the satellite map option.
For the moment the best way to keep your map data up to date is do use Map Loader once every month or two, delete all map data and then reinstall whatever bits you want.
Hopefully we will be able to check map status with the next Map Loader update.

R12.0.6 Vertex data update

I've 2 application servers and one db server. I've pcp configured.
The vertex data file exist on both node.Do I need to apply vertex data update on both node or ONLY one node?

      Procedure
          1. Make sure that you have imported the appropriate Support
          Package, the current kernel, and GUI patch for the release of your
          system
          2. Check whether the error occurs locally on one or a few PCs, or
          generally on all PCs. Note whether the error only occurs for some
          users, for example because of a specific Customizing setting.
          If it only occurs locally, this suggests an installation problem
          with the PC. Check the installation; if necessary, reinstall the
software. In the dump, search for the SY-MSGLI field, since it may
point to the cause of the error.
3. Activate the Automation Trace (in accordance with SAP Note
158985).
4.Start the transaction and continue until the screen immediately
before the dump.
5. From the System -> Utilities menu, choose Autom. Queue,
Synchronous Processing.
The status bar of the GUI displays the text:
   "Automation synchron flush mode on"
6. If you now proceed with the application, the short dump will
display the ABAP call that caused the error; the Automation Trace
will contain the error on the presentation server.
7. If necessary, load the short dump and trace files on to
sapservX, so that SAP can analyze them.

Last data update

How I can find the last data update information(date and time) of multiprovider in BW?
Kindly help on this.

Let me explain how the "last data update" works.
If the query is based on one cube or DSO, it is the time of the last request upload.
If the query is based on a multiprovider, like the example given ealier,
assume there are three cubes in multiprovider :
Last update of cube1 is 11/17/2008
Last update of cube2 is 11/19/2008
Last udpate of cube3 is 11/20/2008.
The "last data update" will be the earliest day of the "last data update"s of all partproviders, i.e.11/17/2008.
Because the meaning of "last data update" is that, data (of all partproviders) has been already updated until this time.
Now we assume there are three cubes like this in multiprovider :
Last update of cube1 is 11/17/2008
Last update of cube2 is 11/19/2008
Cube3 is empty. It has never been loaded with any request.
Then the "last data update" will be empty. Because until no time has all partproviders been updated. This is the design of the system.

Unable to run bapis for project status update and date update together

I have a requirement to update the dates and status of a project WBS at level 4. I am trying to do update the CJ02 Transaction using standard BAPI available. I need to do both Date update and status update in the same LOOP PASS   i am using the below mention bapi. when i am doing so i am getting an error Project 'A._____' has been currently processed by ID i.e. my id.
I have tried putting a wait for 2 seconds in the code but its still not working. please find the order below in which i am calling the bapi.

Did you try to debug through your code, leaving sufficient time between BAPI calls? If it does work like that, then the above statement might help.

I wish I fully understood your post, but perhaps you should try re-downloading. Are you trying to download the 10.7.3 update? If so, then try downloading OS X Lion Update 10.7.3 (Client Combo).

Fresh install and update patch problems 119060-17 , 122213-10 , 122912-02

Just yesterday, i installed a fresh Solaris 10 x86 onto some pc hardware. After getting solaris installed and issues with my network card, i downloaded and installed the free version of the update manager 1.0.x. Next, i proceeded to update all the general patches for the solaris 10 system. I started with the command 'pprosvc -i' from a terminal. It then proceeded to download and validate a bunch of patches successfully until it hit the following 3 patches:
119060-17 ---- X11 6.6.2_x86: Xsun patch
122213-10 ---- GNOME 2.6.0_x86: GNOME Desktop Patch
122912-02 ---- SunOS 5.10_x86: Apache 1.3 Patch
All 3 failed some kind of validation and then crashed the pprosvc program, at which point it exited with the following error:
122912-02 cannot be validated
119060-17 cannot be validated
122912-02 cannot be validated
Unexpected Failure: java.lang.Throwable: ERROR: Failed to validate the digital signature(s).
I also tried to use the GUI Update Manager to update, hoping the problem was isolated to pprosvc, but that problem was also in the GUI with a similar error message:
Error occurred...The detailed error message is: Unexpected Failure: java.lang.Throwable: ERROR: Failed to validate the digitial signature(s)
Anyone know why Sun's update patch process is so troublesome?
Getting Tired of Solaris Updates...
I should mention that this is the free solaris 10 x86 install and i don't have a service contract with Sun. If this problem persists, i don't think i'll get one, as i see only further problems after buying one.

In the short-term please ensure that the patch mentioned in it is installed.
To quote part of mentioned thread above:
"Once the Sun Update Connection client software is upgraded with patch 121118-06 (SPARC) or 121119-06 (x86/x64) or later revisions normal behavior will resume. "
If this fails to resolve your problem, would you be kind enough to post the output of the following command for analysis please;

Automatic date update in Pages for iPad

I want the date (date feild?) in a Pages for iPad letter template to update automatically (using the system date, like other word process application) but cannot see how to do this. This automatic date update appears to work in the Pages for iPad templates examples. i.e open a letter template and the date field shows the correct date, do the same with the same template 24 hours later and the date is shown correctly accordingly. I believe feature is achieved in the Mac version of Pages by setting up a date field. I would like to do the same with Pages iPad. Any ideas how this can be achieved?

Adobe Audition CS6 (5.0.2) update patch released

Hey Audition friends!
This morning we released an update patch for Adobe Audition CS6. This update, version 5.0.2 for Mac and Windows, fixes several bugs discovered after release that could not be fixed in time for the earlier patch, and cleans up a few odds and ends to ensure Audition is fully compatible for use on Windows 8. Briefly, here are the primary bug fixes:
Metronone may skip or stutter
Windows registry entry missing backslash in path
Eucon/Avid Artist control surface touchscreen: Control of Surround Panner does not work
Bounce to New Track > Selected Track: New track is now based on channelization of source track
Windows 8: Third-party drivers do not have a valid WHQL signature
CD Burning: Removed 78 minute limit from CD Layout.
Audition may crash on Mac when exporting to OMF
Audition may crash when attempting to bounce a track with a channelization that does not match the Master track
You may install the update by selecting Help > Updates… in Adobe Audition CS6 or through the Adobe Application Manager tool. Additionally, you may download the patch installer directly for Mac and Windows.

Since 5.02 is an update, not an upgrade (there's a technical difference under the hood) then you shouldn't need to rescan for VSTs or anything - the new executable will use the same settings files. However, I would suggest NOT updating in the middle of a project as a good rule of thumb. If you choose to, I might suggest backing up the existing application files or folder so you could easily restore if you chose to. There were no major changes introduced between 5.0 and 5.02 except for some bug fixes to improve stability, so you'll probably be safe, but unless you're running into one of the specific issues described, my recommendation would be to wait.
As for your second question, I don't know the answer to that. What happens when you attempt to perform a mixdown? There was some work done for the 6.0 release that would have reduced problems when trying to mixdown with UAD and other instance-limited plugins. If you enable Track Pre-Render for those tracks, by clicking the lightning bolt icon in the Effects Rack or the "fx" view in the track panel for those tracks, do you still experience a problem?

Last Data Update in Visual Composer and Web App Designer

Hello,
We want to show the last data update in query result and we used 2
differents ways to do it: throught Web Application Designer (SP 12) and
Visual Composer (SP 10).
In query result of Web Application Designer, the last data update came
in GMT0 and in visual composer came ok (GMT - 3, that's our time zone).
This value (ROLLUPTIME) is taken out of the RSMDATASTATE table and this is used in SAPLRSMDATASTATE program, that is called by Web App Designer.
Why does the difference exist between: Web App Designer and Visual Composer for last data update?
So, I need more information how the Visual Composer brings the correct value (in our time zone) and Web App Designer in GMT0.

Master Data Update Report

Hi All
Can you please provide me a solution for the below scenario:
At the time of master data update from BW to BPC client wants to see the updated master data reports in excel file.
Exmp:
Existing number of Master data (IDs) before BW update : 1000
Today : I updated the master data into bpc from BW:10
Now they want to generate a report for only updated recoreds that is "10" and along with this they want to see is there any changes (property values) happen with the existing master data as well and this activity should be included in the package link of master data update and a Email noticafication should be triggered to the concerned person.
