TIMR6 :Time period indicator: Period

Dear All,
When i am uploading attendances in infotype 2002 for 103 employees through lsmw.
I am getting one field " TIMR6 :Time period indicator: Period" in Display field mapping and conversion rules step.
What is this called? why it will appear ? What is pupose of this indiacator? How to map it with source field?
could you pls explain in detail?
Because of this i am not getting the default value under subtype (Reg Attendance) while running the batch input

Hello,
Male or female in 0002 is determined the field ANRED. (Mr. Ms.) based on this only the GESCH(Gender key is determined).
So if a employee is a male fill ANRED with 1 else with 2.

Actuals VS Forecast by Period indicator

My customers have a current BEX report that shows actuals and forecast data for the income statement for a 12 month time period. They have asked to have an indicator set to show what is actuals, and what is forecast. This will roll each month as time progresses. For example, if I am in period 5, periods 1 - 4 will show as Actuals, and 5 - 12 will show as forecasts. In period 6, 1 - 5 will show as actuals, and 6 - 12 will show as forecasts. They would like to color code the data to visually indicate if the values are actuals or forecasts.
We know we can do this with VB code in the workbook, but that doesn't transfer to the WEB when using the queries in the WEB. We also know that we could probably use JAVA script and the WAD to create something on the web. But - then there are two objects to maintain.
Has anyone else had this challenge, and how did you address it? Does anyone know if NW2004s has any functionality that would help us in this case?
We are on BW3.1c.

Period indicator in SLED of batch of material

hello,
I have question, where can i see if the plant is link when i change the Period indicator of SLED of my material, because when i make a Production Order, and indicate the batch where the material should came from in the General tab of PO there exist Specific data that show the shelf life exp. date of a material i want it to be populated by the shelf life of the batch of my material. currently the Period indicator of SLED is D (Daily-19.05.2009) i change it into M (monthly-05.2009) but in the Specific Data view in PO it still show format 19.05.2009, where should i make correction so that in my PO i will see 05.2009 in the shelf life date?
Please advice on what should i do.

The SLED is depens upon the Following things:
1. Minimum remaining Shelf Life
"The minimum remaining shelf life is the minimum number of days for which the material must keep for the goods receipt to be accepted by the system".
"Minimum amount of time for which the material must keep upon goods receipt for the goods receipt to be accepted by the system."
2. Total Shelf Life
"If you do not enter a total shelf life, enter the shelf life expiration date directly at the time of a goods movement."
For Batch managed materials we need to set the calculation of the shelf life expiration date in the Transaction: OMJ5.

Set Period Indicator for MVER

Where in the IMG or std system do you set the Period Indicator for the consumption posting table MVER?
Currently all movements are posting as Month. I need to change this to Period.

I believe t-codes MM02 Forecasting and MM17 would be used to change the Forecasting period indicator in table MPOP, not the Consumption Usage period indicator in table MVER.
As soon as you perform a real time consumption movement such as peforming MB1A with movement type (GI Cost Center), the total and unplanned consumption are increamented by the transaction quantity immediately in table MVER. The results can be seen in the Material Master MM03 view (Additional Data/Consumption). When it updates the table is considers the period, which mine is currently M (Month). There should be some place I can change this to P (Period).

I am using V11.1.2.2 Hyperion Planning. I am currently getting an error:

This is what i got when i tried to add alternate hierarchy to my shared dimension. I tried to delete it and it messed up.
NOw it wont deploy my application.
Can any one suggest.

I'm playing around with it to write a blog post and it is crazy. Only possible workaround (till now i'm not able to figure out a solution to it) is to copy the application and deploy it as a new one. Take copy of all objects (forms, tasklist etc). Delete the corrupted application and rename the new one to old.

Document Number series doesn't allow to change period indicator

Dear Experts,
We are facing a problem while going to change period indicator of any document numbering series from previous year to current financial year.
There is no problem creating new numbering series for new financial year. But while trying to change previous year period indicator series with current year It shows a error "Series in use" 3535-9.
We are running SAP B1 Verison 9.02.002 PL 10 Hotfix1
Any help please suggest.

Changing Period Indicator not allowed in numbering series setup

Hi to all dear experts... and happy new yaer!!!
I need a little help to solve thi s issue.
Today i create a new posting period for year 2015 (sub peridos => months)
After that, i try to change the period indicator in ADMINISTRATION => SYSTEM INIZIALIZATION => NUMBERING SERIES, but at the update, i receive an error message like:
SERIES ALREADY IN USE -Name of the series- [Message 3535-9]
Before update to 9.0, every year i was able tio change the period indicator in Numbering series setup.
Have some advice??

For the highlighted row n. 8, i try to change the period indicator from 2014 to 2015.
Updating, i receive the error "NUMBERING SERIES ALREADY IN USE [Message 3535-9]"
I'm sure this operation was possible until the 8.82.
P.S. The language system is in italian.. sorry...

SLED period indicator in Material master

I have maintained material master with Period indicator for SLED field as 'D' in plant general data storgae data.
I wanted to change this to W. I wanted to know is it possible to change this and if yes please provide T Code for this.

Dear,
Follow the Tcode O02k...Here select the first line for Int.Period ..Make it Active and select this line and click on left hand side (Text for period indicator).
Here in front of your language EN:Enter W in Ext.Period I field.
Save and come out.
Now when ever you create Material master...By default it will pick "W".
Now coming to your existing materials for which you have already maintained "D".
What you have to do is go to Tcode MM02...Under Plant data storage 1 view change the indicator from D to W.
If number of materials are large then do it by mass maintenance in tcode MM17 or create LSMW program for it.
This will def solve your problem.

Could you please tell me that, what will be the consequences if I do not link a Period Indicator to a Posting Period and use the Period Indicator in any document numbering?

The use of the period indicators depends on the accounting practice of the company.
The consequence you will face when you are not using period indicators:
1.Your document numbering series will be continued from year to year,for ex.if your last document numbering series for AP Invoice is 3489 for FY200809,then the starting series for the FY200910 will be 3490.
2.You should perform period end closure before proceeding to the next financial year,which would not be possible(Atleast one month in the new financial yr) as we may need to use adjustment transaction for accounting/auditing purpose
3.Unless you perform year end closure the new series can not be continued,if you continue there must be accepted/explained in the accounts auditing too .
4.But you don't use period indicator,there will not be any necessity to create new document series for every new financial year.

Period indicator with Fiscal Year Variant in MRP3

Hi SAP Gurus,
I donu2019t know the use of Period indicator with Fiscal Year Variant in MRP3 view.
For some material is maintain as
1. Period indicator u201CMu201D & Fiscal Year Variant as blank.
& for other materials it is maintain as
2. Period indicator u201CPu201D & Fiscal Year Variant as V3
What is the meaning of maintaining those different values ?
as per my understanding I only know that as per those indicator consumption data is store in table MVER.
Is there any other table / data gets affected due to this indicator.

In customizing (spro), you make these setting in transaction OB29.

Wrong period indicator linked to 2011 posting periods

Hello,
My customer has created new series for 2011 and linked them to 2011 period indicator.
The problem is that the posting period was linked to 2010 period indicator. They've already created several transactions and therefore the period indicator in the posting period window cannot be updated.
Any ideas on how to solve it (except for restoring a backup and retyping the transactions)?

If any transaction has been post in Data base so can't change Posting Period . Do one think Restore ur database Backup before posting period Creation and again create ur posting period correctly.

Creating P&L report with Time dimension view ( Period , HTD, YTD )

I have a requirement to create P&L report that will Time dimension view ( Period , HTD, YTD ). I guess the original report was created with hyperion tool now they want the same in BO report.
Is this technically possible with BEX since there is no standard time object for YTD and HTD. I know in BPC there are ready made objects.
does any one know how I can create this solution with BEX.

Hi,
It is possible in BEx. You would need to create variables of type customer exit and write code to realize YTD, etc. Check the forums for documents and sample code.

Internal error 'Period Indicator' (-2024) OPID

Dear All,
Please help me in solving this problem. I am getting this internal Internal error 'Period Indicator' (-2024) OPID occurred on Client system while copying Sales Delivery to Outgoing Excise Invoice. When I am doing the same thing on Server System I am not getting any error it works fine I am able to copy Sales Delivery to Outgoing Excise Invoice. I am using B One 8.8 PL 10

Table PBED - Change in Period indicator

We have a few materials where the master data was wrongly maintained : the period indicator was set to M instead of P. Due to this setting, the data is stored in PBED using Date type 2 instead of 4.
We have corrected the material master but we are not able to correct the planned independent requirement's date type 2 and the Period to planning tables.
This is causing a lot of issues in our Customer service reporting and a numebr of other reports.

Why not try deleting the existing PIR and create a new PIR? Its only a suggestion, please try this is in a non-production system before doing in production system.

I/o scan time exceeded its period

Hello
   I have been getting the error message "Labview: The I/O time exceeded its period" and wondered what might be causing it.
    The configuration is;
           Labview 2009 SP1
           9024 cRIO controller with a 9144 expansion chassis
           Scan mode time is 10ms with a publishing interval of 200ms
    The error occurs at seemingly random times when i download a vi to the controller to have it run there at startup. This error generally occurs within 10 minutes, but can take hours.
    I can force the error by having the downloaded vi use a 9512 to control some motion, but it will eventually occur even if the vi does not use the 9512.
Any ideas?

I'm assuming you're talking about the real-time application running at startup on the controller, right? So, if you don't run it at startup (just normal run operation), do you still see the same error? What if you change your scan and publishing time to different values, say slow them down to 100 and 1000ms, respectively.
And what's your VI doing? Can you produce some code that illustrates the problem and post it here so that I may try to duplicate the problem?
