TinyMCE3 will not work in safari OR afp:// links in Firefox

Hi,
Does anyone know how to solve one of the following problems.
We use leopard with firefox to access our college moodle site and a lot of the moodle site involves the tinyMCE3 wysiwyg html editor which safari will not display (any version) we also want to use apf:// links for linking internally to our xserve sharepoints (which firefox will not pass over to the finder)
Is there a fix for eithersafari and tinyMCE3 OR does anyone know how to get firefox to open afp:// links in the finder?

If he does not open the page in the firefox, be able to be
his code html produced by the Flash, it would need to publish some
lines in the part of load of the flash, try to use the dreamwever
with a new html and it places this swf there inside and test to see
if it works

I do not know if it's relevant or not, but I got a message on my ipad while on safari saying that my iPhone has a virus. I looked it up and it seems it might have just been an ad from the website I was on, but it happened around the same time YouTube stopped working.

You will find that using the YouTube app will provide a better viewing experience for YouTube videos.

The instillation says that it is successful, however when using Safari I'm informed I do not have flash player installed. When I check the hard drive, flash player in no where to be found. I have tried all of the troubleshooting from the Adobe website, and I am still stumped. I was able to get the Flash Player to run in firefox 5.0, but not Safari.
Please Help!!!! I have searched the discussion boards for days now in my spare time and have not been able to find an answer.
I am not the most savvy person with computers, what am I missing here??

In my Library/Internet Plug-ins folder I have a file named Flash Player.plugin (it's 22.8 MB however, not 23.9mb) and another named flashplayer.xpt (it's 4 KB however, not856 bytes).
I am unable to open the Plug-Ins menu (the browser pops up but wont load)...is there another way to check for Shockwave Flash?? When I do a search for "Shockwave" on my hard drive I do find a plug-in named "DirectorShockwave.plugin" (76 KB)
Also...The "Open using Rosetta" checkbox was already unchecked

From here it looks like you used Safari instead. Lots of choices that's what I like.
You did end Firefox and try to restart didn't you?
If you did then I would expect you have a problem with your Firewall, and would have had it before, does not affect IE, it does affect Firefox, I don't know about other browsers. See

Adobe Flash Player Will Not Work with Safari Mac OS 10.9.2

I have tried numerous times to install Adobe Flash Player for Mac OS 10.9 and get Plug-in error when I try to run it. Before the suggested update, Flash Player ran fine. I would not have tried the update except the files on the web site that I am usinf had a symnbol statiing that the later version of Flash Player was required for it to run.
I did what Adobe suggested and removed the plug-in and then reinstalled it. Still does not work. When is Adobe going to fix it? I think it was not well researched before the release, and it definately has compatibility issues with Mac OS 10.9 Mavericks

Thanks for the quick response. It worked OK after I did this, and I alerted other users in my MUG just in case they have a similar aged Macs. I hope that the fix for this will be automatic in the next update.

Itunes on ipod will not work (but Safari will).

Ok, this is a long one so hold on.
I am using my universities Wi-Fi and two days ago I could use itunes on my ipod, but yesterday and today I can't (I have $12 worth of music waiting to be downloaded). Other applications are not working properly either (youtube, maps). On itunes, it just sits their saying "loading" forever, and doesn't change.
However there are some variables:
*I can connect to Safari fine on the university connection.
*two days ago I could connect to itunes fine on the university connection.
*my friend can connect to itunes using her phone and a different wi-fi connection.
*I can connect to itunes with a different wi-fi connection.
Any ideas what the problem might be?

Well, in two weeks no one has even responded to this issue, so much for the online support.
I reallllly prefer to talk to an actual human anyway, unfortunately the phone number is well hidden.
Fortunately, I got the problem fixed by a bit of luck, Trend Micro virus protection has a "tune up" feature that I just found, and it solved the problem.
Whatever the problem was?? Dont know, dont care, as long as it is fixed.
Anyway, if anybody is reading this, and has the ability to kill this thread, please do so, as there is no longer any need for it to exist.

Gradebook website will not work on Safari after restore and update.

Gradebook (via Education Solutions Development, Inc) will no longer permit me to log in. I was at the Apple store today to wipe my Macbook clean and they manually restored all of my files. They also updated my Macbook to OS X 10.9.5. The site worked fine prior to all of this. It loads normally, allowing me to enter my username and password. Once I hit "Enter" or click "Submit" however, the password disappears and I am left on the same log-in page. It does not go anywhere. All other websites are working fine. I tried downloading different browsers to access the site, but Gradebook is not compatible with those browsers. I really need to be able to access this site at home.

I have this exact issue as well. I'm very confused! If this doesn't get resolved here I think we might have to go to the Genius bar. What a pain! To circumvent it for now, I've downloaded the Chrome app because it works fine there.

I have downloaded from adobe site. Installed, uninstalled the 10.3.???
It is showing in the preference panel.
Works fine in Firefox.

The highest verion Safari can go on a Mac running Leopard v10.5.8, is 5.0.6.
Uninstall the currently installed Flashh plugin > Troubleshoot Flash Player | Mac OS
Then reinstall new at that link..
Quit then relaunch Safari. From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Empty Cache
Now try a video.
If that didn't help, try reinstalling Safari 5.0.6 for Leopard

Reset all will not work with Safari

I've tried to reset all of Safari. It seems to be working. All history is gone and it shows only the home page. But after termination, the next start shows all the history and cache again without any change.
I wonder what I could do else.
Any idea?

Some functions, (delete, move, anything with a drop-down menu, etc), will not work in Yahoo Mail since upgrading to Firefox 7. I've switched back to Yahoo Mail Classic and that seems to work fine, so far.

I'm used to the new mail. It was a pain to find out how to switch to classic. On a side note, What is with the constant re-hauls/updates? It's getting tiresome, constantly encountering problems like this each time. I like Firefox and don't want to switch...........

Flash not working with Safari

I have Safari 5.1 and Lion. Flash will not work in Safari. I have the latest version (I uninstalled the previous version of Flash then installed latest version) Have done Disk Repair, changed Safari to 32 bit mode. Still I just get the message
"Cannot play media.You do not have the correct version of the flash player"
I have Opera, Chrome and Firefox and all play flash. Any ideas - apart from not using Safari!

Java 7 update 17 not working in safari

I am just setting up a new laptop, and installed the latest java 7 update 17. It works fine on Firefox, but will not work in Safari. Before you tell me "dont use java", I have to. My works website uses java for download, so I must have it (until we move to Aspera).
I have checked both the system Java version (latest, and enabled) and the browsers settings. Java is enabled in all places it should be, yet I cannot get it to work in Safari. The Java website even tells me it cant even verify if Im running java or not. This is very annoying.
So to recap:
Safari: Enable Plugins, Enable Java and Enable Javascript is turned on.
Block Pop Ups is turned off.
Java 7 Update 17 has been installed on this computer.
Java:
System Tells me Im running the recommended version.
Security: Is set to HIGH, I even turned it lower at one point.
Ive repaired permissions, rebooted, etc. but no luck.
Any ideas?

I work for a financial institution that uses Java for the online banking system. It works amazing as we have almost a 0% fraud rate. I don't hate Java like the rest of the world...anyway...on to my question lol
I have heard quite a few of our customers say that they are having a "Blocked Plug-In" today rather than the normal "Missing Plug-In" message. Has Apple blocked Java again or is it some wierd setting? This is the message our customers were receiving when Apple blocked it last time. However, our customers couldn't use Firefox either and this time they can. I haven't seen any news reporting it yet. It's imperative for our customers...I wish Apple would just leave it alone. If I purchase a $2500 computer, leave it alone and let me control it. Don't babysit me. This is why I will never ever ever buy a Mac. Not a fan of communism.

Will IE work with Safari?

I use an online website for my business that was made for IE explorer 5.5+ and it will not work with Safari I am told by the tech support, is there a way to make it work? alternative?

Probably not. If the website was specifically designed for IE 5.5+, then it's probably safe to assume that it relies on proprietary Microsoft code, which will only function on a current Microsoft web browser. Probably ActiveX or the likes.
You can try Firefox, with an IE compatibility Extension, but you might not have any luck with that either.
