TIP:  How to easily access Control Center in IOS7

I tried hundreds of times to access the Control Center by "swiping up" from any screen to no avail.  Then, I figured out the trick:  Start your swipe from the Home button and not the screen itself.  Works everytime.  (Also, try swiping down from the speaker to reach the Notification Center).

Just found the apex_access_control table in my schema.
Guess I'll just use that.

    UPDATE
Saw other threads about Otterbox blocking the area to access the Control center. Sure enough removing it from the case and I can access the CC. But, I also found if you swipe up lightly and quickly the CC can be access with the case on. It takes some practice. But can be done.

  • Failure to access control center in lock screen

I am having trouble accessing controls center from my lock screen. It takes me four may be five times to do so. It seams that I really need to try to do such a simply task when I do it on the home screen. Just wondering if I can fix this or if I have to wait for a update from Apple. Thanks in advance for your help.

Do you have a case on your phone? Many people are reporting that some cases interfer. Otterbox Defenders seem to be named a lot.
    Best of luck.

  • How to add access control to a WebService in Weblogic

    Hello experts,
I developed a Web Service and I deployed it on Weblogic: it reads a SOAP request and, according to the input, it performs some actions.
Now we would need to implement an access control on it, we read some information in the documentation we find on google, but none of these was exhaustive: did anyone of you implemented already an access control policy?
    And how did you do?
    Thank you

    Hello Arunkumar,
    my JDev is 11.1.1.5.0.
I checked the documentation, but it's not clear for me in which of those scenarios we are: we have an Oracle Service Bus that needs to contact an application, but we don't want to grant a direct access to it.
So the bus is calling the web service that it's triggering the events on the application.
Everything works fine, but we need now to put at least an access control method, in order to avoid that a simple call from SoapUI may triggers the operations on our Web Service.

  • How to create a control center service ?

    Hallo,
i have a server with 1 DB Home (with 2 instances) and 1 OWB Home.
I have OWB repositories in both instances and can connect to both via Design Center.
But trying to open the Control Center Manage in instance 2 fails with:
RTC-5301 Control Center service not available
In instance 1 it is working.
    ps -ef | grep owb
shows me 3 processes running for the 1. instance
    (based on owb/bin/unix/run_service.sh),
but none for the 2. instance
    So my question is:
How can i create this missing service ?
    I checked this doc http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B31080_01/doc/install.102/b28224/install_rep02.htm#CCHEDJBD
but the information on this topic is not very detailed.
    Thanks,
    Jochen

    Hi,
you must use the repository assistant, advanced option, to create a new repository owner. If you want to use both control center in one design rep: Then you must register it in the design center: create a new control center. To switch between both you must make one of them to the active control center/configuration.
Then you will have another services with the name oft he new cc.
    Regards,
    Detlef

Did you check Settings>Control Center>Access on Lock Screen and make sure it's set to ON?

  • Process flow - Mannual - How to interevene thru Control Center

I have Mannual process in my process flow. I know how to intervene thru Repository Browser. I go to repository browser and do expedite execution and process continues.
In the user guide they tell this can be done thru control center also. Can anyone explain me how to intervene and continue the process thru control center.

From the top of my head, if you are in the control center, go to the job when running (the bottom panel) and right mouse click on the job. You can stop a job... I do not have a current example, but I would expect it to be in there...

  • Cannot access control center when I swipe up checked settings both are on for screen

Always tried from horizontal position. Tried from vertical position and it came up. Guess it only works vertically

  • Anyone else having issue getting the "swipe up" to work to access control center on Iphone5?

Hi, just upgraded to IOS7 on both my Iphone5 and 3rd Gen Ipad.  While I can easily swipe up to get into Control Center on Ipad, same is not at all true for the Iphone5.  Takes about ten tries to get the control center to open by swiping up on Iphone5, whether on home screen or lock screen.  Anyone else having this issue?  Wonder if there is a way to fix it (reinstall IOS 7 I guess somehow?).  Control Center is a great improvement, but not if I can't open it!

Well, see here for another guy who had same issue:
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/23013426#23013426
and my response is there (appears to be an Otterbox issue is upshot).

  • Can not access control center on iPhone 5

I can not access the control center by swiping up. It doesn't matter which screen I'm on. It is turned on in the settings to be accessed in apps and the lock screen.

Do you have a case on the phone? If so, what case? If you do, then try removing the case and see if it works.
If not, then try a reset. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone should reboot. After that, try again.

  • Can not access control center-more than one way to turn off and on portait rotate?

The very bottom of my screen does not register touch for some unknown reason ( I have a 4s and iOS 7.1)—however I've been dealing with that by rotating my phone to pull up the keyboard to type for text messages, etc. I accidently locked my ability to rotate my phone and now I can't pull up the control center to turn it off. Is there another way to access this function?

Thank you for the quick response. Unfortunately, in the AssistiveTouch there is still no way to turn off the locked position of my screen, so when I click the different rotate options provided, the screen does not change orientation... any thoughts?

  • How to use "access control - administrator" in SQL

I have a report with checkboxes to select records for delete. Non administrators can only delete a subset of the records. So for some of the records I would like to hide the checkbox if the user is not an administrator. The checkboxes are created in the select statement.
I would like to know if there is a function that I can use in SQL that will tell me if the current user is administrator or not. I'm using the access control list.

Just found the apex_access_control table in my schema.
    Guess I'll just use that.
