Tip: My MacBook Pro 5.2 (Early 2009) works great on Mavericks!

Hi there,
After upgrading to Mavericks I initially got what I deserved, or so I thought: a slow computer that wasn't working well with this advanced operating system.
It was a very slow machine and I blamed Mavericks for it as all was still running well with Mountain Lion.
The thing is I upgraded from Mountain Lion. Upgrading time after time just seemed to be to much for the old machine, so I reinstalled without formatting the hard drive a few weeks ago. That did not seem to do the trick. In the long run it only made things worse.
What did make my Mac blazing fast like when I unboxed it?
Formatting the hard drive and reinstalling it.
WARNING though:
First copy all keychains from ~\Library\Keychains to a save location or use iCloud Keychain
First copy all Documents from where you store them to a save location, like iCloud
First copy your Music Library to a save location or sync them with iTunes Match
Using the latter options provides the least obstacles when after reinstalling your mac you don't accidentally choose to empty your iCloud Keychain...
WOW, I'm working on a 5 year old Mac just as fluently as when I got it. Way to go Apple. Try doing that with a PC...

sorry, just a little frusturated and want this box back to being 100% stable.
