TIP: Pagination with No URL Access

My tip for enabling pagination with No URL Access security option has been submitted on htmldb studio.
Unfortunately none of the carriage returns seem to remain so it has been published as a single block of text making it very hard to read!!
Raj can you have a look at this so that it is readable
The tip for switching a page into printer friendly mode should hopefully be published soon.

The tip for switching a page into printer friendly

  • Access to a website with a URL ending on .exe does not work

    I need to access a website with a URL ending on .exe - Internet Explorer does not have any issues but with Firefox I only get the "file download" dialog box. Is there a setting where I can prevent this behaviour?

    Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
    * Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

  • Accessing the Permission,Properties and Subscription tab with Direct URL.

    Hello,
    I am trying to accessing the permission tab with direct url, but i could not able to find a way to access it.
    we can access this permissions tab browsing through Details - > Settings -> Permissions , the similar way  Details - > Settings -> subscriptions.
    But i wanted to use a single(i.e direct url) which can open these tabs.
    Could you please help me on this.
    Thanks
    Best Regards
    Manoj K

    Hello,
    I have resolved this issue by myself.
    You can access the subscription interface directly using the below url.
    http://<hostname>:<port>/irj/go/km/details/documents?isp=subscription&Standalone=true&StartPage=StandaloneDetailsPage
    or
    https://<hostname>:<port>/irj/go/km/details/documents?isp=subscription&Standalone=true&StartPage=StandaloneDetailsPage
    And for the properties interface by using the below url.
    http://<hostname>:<port>/irj/go/km/details/documents?isp=properties&Standalone=true&StartPage=StandaloneDetailsPage
    For the permissions interface.
    https://<hostname>:<port>/irj/go/km/details/documents?isp=permissions&Standalone=true&StartPage=StandaloneDetailsPage

  • Accessing an APEX page with a URL ...

    Greetings:
    Our users are going to receive emails with an embedded link in the body. When they click on the link, it should open up a public APEX page. I have created the links the way I think they should be. Here is an example:
    http://domainname/pls/apex/f?p=200:NMCI_NIPR_ACCT:::NO:F200_CICO_ID,F200_LINK_KEY:5,V618GH823RMAW5FO9SECG3ANHSYJRW
    The page has an alias of NMCI_NIPR_ACCT. My parameters reference application items, and they are defined properly. However, when I copy this url into the browser, I get the following message:
    Unexpected error, unable to find item name at application or page level.
    Error ERR-1002 Unable to find item ID for item "V618GH823RMAW5FO9SECG3ANHSYJRW" in application "200".
    Can someone tell me what is wrong with my URL syntax?
    Thanks,
    Stan

    Hi Stan,
    I think you may have your parameters in the wrong spots?
    The APEX URL takes 9 Parameters.
    The page items must be in the 7th position (comma separated), and the values in the 8th position.
    You are missing one ':', so therefore you are trying to feed the item names into the 6th position, and the values into the 7th position, where the Page Item names should be.
    This is the reason for the "Unable to find item ID" error.
    Try this:
    http://domainname/pls/apex/f?p=200:NMCI_NIPR_ACCT::::NO:F200_CICO_ID,F200_LINK_KEY:5,V618GH823RMAW5FO9SECG3ANHSYJRWAlternatively I found a good resource which may help:

    I agree with you, I tried different SOL editor and it work
    when i tried.
    I believe what I used was more than SOL explorer/reader
    rather then editor
    even tho it has this option is seem the file stop working and
    hence the
    problem I was claiming about the files not work properly.
    Perhaps it was changing something and flash did not like
    these changes.
    Anyhow, I did try another tool and did manage to work.
    Thanks

  • HomeHandle with cluster url in Weblo 8.1 SP5

    Hello,
    I upgrade a cluster (4 serveurs) in 8.1SP4 to 8.1SP5 and now I have some probleme to access to an ejb on one server only.
    With SP4, i get the HomeHandle on ejb with server url informations (with home-is-clusterable set to false in the weblogic-ejb-jar.xml)
    and when i use the HomeHandle, i get reference on the well ejb object
    But now, with SP5, the HomeHandle contains cluster url and not server url. So, when i make the getEJBObject() i get a reference on one of the four ejb deployed on all the servers in the cluster (with load balancing)
    So my code don't work now
    is it a regression bug on SP5? or is it conform to the specifications?

    Perhaps I was not clear enough ;-)
    I try to precise my problem (it is not a problem of upgrade with SP5 finally, I progress ....)
    In fact, we have a traitment which publish a lot of message in distibuted queue JMS.
    The call of the traitment by a client is load balancing.
    (The ejb X wich receive the call is deploy on all the instances of the cluster)
    So the traitement begin in only one server of the cluster
    but the publish is also load balancing on all the queue members JMS of the ditributed queue (to take advantage in terms of performance of all the physical serveurs of the cluster)
    At the End of each unit traitement by Message Driven Bean
    the MDB want to acknowledge the ejb publisher on the initial server (wich have begin the traitement and realize the publish)
    For this, when publishing, I put a HomeHandle in attribute of all the Message, and at reception of Message, the MDB use this HomeHandle to call method on the ejb in the initial server
    Primary it's work But since, we made some change in configuration (the cluster adress was not set properly, we change the configuration so the cluster adress is like "urlServer1:port,urlServer2:port,urlServer3:port,urlServer4:port")
    At creation the HomeHandle contains the cluster adress and not the server adress in spite of some parametres in deploiement descriptor (<home-is-clusterable>false</home-is-clusterable>)
    So with the cluster adress, when the getEJBObject is call on the HomeHandle, the call is load balancing on all the serveur and not only on the ejb on the initial serveur
    Is it the normal way for HomeHandle?

  • Call View controller with some URL parameter

    Hi
    I have a 3rd party system which need to send some data to my CRM system.
    One approch which is being suggested is by sending data by URL parameter.
    I have made a new component for this and have provided the 3rd party with its URL .
    The issue with calling a view controller URL along with some specific URL parameters is that i am not able to access its parameters.when i call method GET_PAGE_URL from the DOINIT method of the controller it does not provide me with the parameter list .
    How can i access these URL parameters ?
    Regards
    Ajitabh

    HI,
    have a look at component CRM_UI_FRAME. In the page default.htm they extract URL parameters.
    You have got the REQUEST variable in your view controller as well.

  • I accessed the page protected by ADF security using direct url access attac

    hi,
    I played with my application which is based on SRDemo code (with added ADF security handling protection of resources) using direct url access scenarios. I was able to access a protected page as authenticated but not authorized user. I'll try to explain what I did.
    There are two folders/web resources in my application, faces/folderA/* and faces/folderB/*.
    roleA only is configured to access first web resource and the roleB is configured to access the second resource.
    I used ADF security to authorize only roleA for page in folderA and to authorize only roleB for page in folderB.
    I configured error pages in web.xml:
    <error-page>
    <error-code>400</error-code>
    <location>faces/error/error400.jspx</location>
    </error-page>
    <error-page>
    <error-code>401</error-code>
    <location>faces/error/error401.jspx</location>
    </error-page>
    <error-page>
    <error-code>403</error-code>
    <location>faces/error/error403.jspx</location>
    </error-page>
    <error-page>

    <error-page>
    <exception-type>java.lang.Throwable</exception-type>
    <location>faces/error/error500.jspx</location>

    Once I authenticated as user in roleA I was trying to directly access URLs accessible only by users in roleB. In the beginning everything worked OK: I was dispatched to error401.jspx page with message Not authorized... etc.
    But I kept trying to access different URLs, like http://localhost:8988/AB/faces, http://localhost:8988/AB/faces/folderB, http://localhost:8988/AB/faces/folderB/pageB.jspx, http://localhost:8988/AB
    (not necessarily in that order, I played for a couple of minutes and the system would always dispatch to error401.jspx page if unauthorized attempt. But all of sudden, to my surprise, I got the pageB.jspx page while logged in as user belonging to roleA!)
    Not sure how that happened but the connectedUser on pageB (#{userInfo.authenticated}) shows that I am logged in as user whose role is A.
    I checked Authorization in ADF security and it is still correct: pageB is only accessible to roleB and pageA is only accessible to roleA.
    I hope I made some stupid mistake in my configuration?

    Hi,
    ADF Security is JAAS permission based and not container managed. Note that unless you explicitly configured ADF Security you don't use ADF Security but container managed security, which is all that I can see in your configurations.
    Not sure which version fo JDeveloper you use, but if you could change the following setting
    <security-constraint>
    <web-resource-collection>
    <web-resource-name>AZone</web-resource-name>
    <url-pattern>faces/folderA/*</url-pattern>
    </web-resource-collection>
    <auth-constraint>
    <role-name>A</role-name>
    </auth-constraint>
    </security-constraint>
    <security-constraint>
    <web-resource-collection>
    <web-resource-name>BZone</web-resource-name>
    <url-pattern>faces/folderB/*</url-pattern>
    </web-resource-collection>
    <auth-constraint>
    <role-name>B</role-name>
    </auth-constraint>
    </security-constraint>
    to contain jspx file references instead of wildcards like in faces/folderB/* then what you see should no longer be possible. There was a known issue with the security settings in SRDemo that was caused by a defect in OC4J container managed security. I would expect this issue to be fixed in a more recent version of OC4J.
    However, the work around until then is to protect all JSPX files in a directory instead of using wild card matches

  • Any Security Problems with Navigation with Short URLs?

    Hi ,
    I want to use Navigation with Short URLs for my users to access the portal. But if the users give that Short URLs to other non-users , will the URL open?
    I will give the role for the users only. Non-users will not have particular role.
    Are these Navigation with Short URLs are safe to use?
    Advise me.

    Hi,
    The iview have "EveryOne Role" and "Super Admin Role".
    The portal will not allow any "anonymous" users, because it needs atleast "EveryOne Role" for the access.
    Will this create any problem.
    I think the "EveryOne Role" is there for the user, if the iview1 assigned for role1 but still in the permissions of iview1 have the "Everyonerole" , it is allowing user to access this right?
    Then I need to remove the EveryOne Role from the permissions.

  • How to run two files with same url-  urgent

    hi,
    i created two servlet page and both are working very fine.but at same time i only able to run one file with same url. Is possible to run two or more file at same time with same url name..
    if you r not understanding what i want to ask then, i have two file names under helloWeb directory
    1) helloWorld.java(servletname s1, url /man)
    2) helloWeb.java (servletname s2,url /man)
    to run - http://localhost:7001/helloWeb/man - it runs very first file which is added to deployment module.
    so i want to know how i can run both file with same url, for this what i have to pass on my address bar.
    plz help me i m wating
    <b></b>

    Hi,
    We can give same url mapping to both Servlets but we can access the servlet which is entered first in web.xml because whenever we send a request to the webserver then webserver look at the elements in web.xml file one by one.
    When it finds the corresponding url mapping then immediately sends the response to the client.The same url mapping for the next element will be ignored.
    I think there is no possibility to access both servlets with same url.

    We are successfully using just about every other URL access parameter specified by msdn.
    Has anyone ever successfully been able to use this URL access parameter? Any help would be immensely appreciated.

    Hi morchis,
    Based on my further research, I find that the GetComponentDefinition command is used to display the XML definition associated with a published report part. These are the report items we can publish as report parts: Charts, Gauges, Images and embedded images,
    Maps, Parameters, Rectangles, Tables, Matrices and Lists.
    To public a report part in Report Designer, please refer to the following steps:
    Flag the report items that you want to publish in the Publish Report Parts dialog box.
    Deploy the report.
    Then we can use the URL below to display the XML definition of report item tablix1:
    http://<servername>/ReportServer/?/report parts/tablix1&rs:Command=GetComponentDefinition
