Tips carrying out a wireless (including N) survey.

Hello all, I'm about to start a survey next week and i'd like to ask you expertise on it.I am using 1252Ap and airmagnet express edition to survey both 2.4/5 ghz (a,b,g,n),3 x 2422dg-r and 3x5135dg-r antennas.
First,I am in a doubt on how shall i place the ap during the survey. The customer, most probably, would like to install the ap inside the false ceiling.By reading the manuals of 1252 ap, i could understand that the ap (antennas) should face to the floor . So,during the survey shall i simulate this position ? What if, i place the ap in a vertical surface (wall) and carry out the survey? Will the results of this action reflect to the real ap mounting place( inside the false ceiling) ?
Second, the ap will have to accommodate both data and voice.I'm thinking to perform the survey two times for each floor,one for 2.4ghz and one for 5ghz. Which is the best practice to follow during the survey?

The unfortunate truth about a wireless survey is that you should do your absolute best to emulate working conditions during the survey. In other words, mount the APs as you will eventually mount them, and (if possible) conduct the survey during normal working hours/conditions.
So yes, mounting the AP on a vertical wall or mounting it differently than where it will eventually go will affect the survey results. It might not affect it that much, but it might also affect it enough to create dead spots.
As for the survey itself, you can conduct both 2.4GHz and 5GHz surveys at once. I'm familiar with AirMagnet, but not the express version, so this assumes it can handle both at once like the full version.
Another alternative is to simply perform a 5GHz survey. 2.4GHz RF energy propagates far better than 5GHz, and it's almost always a safe assumption that a 5GHz survey will work for a 2.4GHz deployment. This is only an option if you aren't required to produce both 5GHz and 2.4GHz maps, or something like that.
Finally, for voice surveys, be sure to use -67dBm as your threshold for RSSI. You also want to plan on 15-20% overlap of APs.

Hi, I have created a substitution rule to substitute the investment profile in my projects with a blank for any WBS which is not level one. I am not sure why this rule does not take effect immediately a new WBS is included. When I try to carry out the substitution manually, I get the error message 'Error when processing asset under construction (AuC) for WBS element'. Any ideas how I can get this substituion to work when a new WBS is added to an existing project?

You should use the substitution otherway....
I believe your project is in REL status and also you have defaulted IM profile in the project, so whenever you create a WBSE, the IM profile is inherited to the WBSE and since it is in REL status, the system will create an AUC based on your IM profile and now you are using substituition to remove the IM profile so this will cause the problem...Instead of this....try this...do not default IM profile in project, and instead of removing IM profile for all WBSE which is not level 1, use substitution to write IM profile in WBSE which is only level 1.

Message "Carry out modification comparison... No Change possible" and SPAU

I'm trying to manually implement SAP note 1400194 and 1428579 both need to amend the Include RPCP45GD.
Every time you try and open the Include in edit mode to apply the changes manually you get the message
"Carry out modification comparison for REPS RPCP45GD first. No Change possible"
So I run SPAU... but the object RPCP45GD does not exist in SPAU so I can't do a modification comparison on something that's not there !
Any ideas how I should proceed ?

Modification assistant is on, otherwise SPAU would not work...
Activated object but had no effect...
However I did find a note in SPAU that was unreleased that related to another note that seemed to change the include I am looking at. This may be the reason why it's locked.
SAP's modification assistant is about as useful as a hole in the head !

Jay is absolutely right. You cant source the item even if you have left over quantities. Infact I was curious to try out your scenario and for me it did not work out like you mentioned. Once I created a PO for 60, I could not find the SC back in SOCO for the remaining 40. Wondering how you managed it.

Can a submit button carry out more than 1 action ?

I want to give show feed back after a survey question but I want to do this whilst the answer that the user has given is still on the page.
I have assigned a show comand to the submit button which makes a text box visable however the play head carries on and the slide progresses to the next one. Is there a way to pause the time line and advance on a click after the feedback, what I think I want is for the submit button to carry out several action or am I going about this the wrong way?

Could you tell if you are using the default Question slides for this survey question or did you create your own slide using standard objects?
I'm a bit puzzled about it because you mention the 'Submit' button, that is why I supposed you are using a default Question slide. You can assign an advanced action which can have more than one action of course. But this will not solve your issue. If you want to stick with default question slides that allow you limited control I could make this suggestion:
create the hidden text caption,
increase the default duration of the question slide; typically it will pause at 1.5sec, increase the slide duration so that the text caption that will show up stays long enough for the user to read it
show the text caption for the rest of the slide
attach the success action to the Submit button as you did to show the TC
When the user clicks on Submit, the Text Caption will pop up but the playhead will continue till the slide is finished. AFAIK you will not be able to stop it, but now the user will have sufficient time to read.
The best solution is to create your own survey slides, then you can add as many interactive objects as you wish.

I did payment run program for one vendor F110 i have 3 invoice. within this invoice one invoice i did payment block at the time of payment proposal in F110 , the remaining two i cleared and i got all result after some days according to the next payment run date i am trying to do payment run F110, At the time schedule proposal the error system showing "PAYMENT PROPOSAL COULD NOT BE CARRIED OUT". Now i need clear that invoice wht i do through F110.....

Multi-level error propagation carried out Error in APO

Dear Experts,
We had developed a custom program that is same as /sapapo/rrp3 report, but the issue is when we use planning version other then 000 the custom program is giving the error ""Multi-level error propagation carried out"" but the RRP3 report works fine with all the planning versions.
Please help to find the cause and to solve the issue.

Error "Multi-level error propagation carried out" when I run a report

When I run the report /SAPAPO/CDPS_REPT - Order and Resource Reporting with the below criteria I getting error "Multi-level error propagation carried out"
Planning Version - Simulation Version XXX
Evaluation Start - 05/03/2011
Evaluation End - 12/31/2013
Evaluation List - Extended Operation List
I do not get error when I run the report with selection as Active version 000 and Evaluation List as Order List, Operation List.
I have tried by ruuning Live cache consistancy check, but the issue is not fixed
Please help me to resolve this issue

Hi Jack,
Please do post the server log file here so that we can try and find a solution for the problem you are facing.
I had a problem a while ago with the app server too. While trying to run an application, after a few times, it would give me an error message saying the Application Server cannot be started. I rebooted my machine and thankfully it worked again. Just try this too and see if it works.
If it doesnt we can go through the server log and try to identify the cause of the problem.

While executing realignment table it is showing following :-

Have seen all consistency checks and everything is fine no alerts received.

Hi Vikas,
I am assuming that you have maintained the Realignment table properly meaning you have only the necessary entries and removed all unwanted entries. Having assumed that the other reason why this error can come up is when you try to realign more than 1 Characteristic Value in the same table entry.
For Example.
Let us you have 3 Characterstics viz, product, location,customer.
If for Product P1, you are trying to change the location from L1 to L2 and customer from C1 to C2 then there is a possibility such an error might occure.
In such cases we need to create 2 entries as follows
1) P1 L1 C1 to P1 L2 C1
2) P1 L2 C1 to P1 L2 C2.
It is better to avoid Multiple characteristic changes in a single step.

This is not related to project at all. The stock is purely reseved for my sales order (and since my sales order is created with reference to quotation the stock is reserved for my quotation). While debug I found the route cause for this, if we see the function module "SD_DOCUMENT_ACCOUNT_ASSIGNMENT" (this FM is called at the time of quotation, sales order, stock taking, billing and excise invoice). Now in this FM :-
CALL FUNCTION 'SD_VBAK_SELECT'
    EXPORTING
      i_document_number = i_document_number
IF ( vbap-vbeln NE vbap-vbelv OR
       vbap-posnr NE vbap-posnv ) AND
       NOT vbap-vbelv IS INITIAL.
The i_document_number found in my excise invoice is sales order nmbr. Thus vbap-vbeln NE vbap-vbelv condition in my IF loop gets satisfied (because vbap-vbeln = sales order numbr & vbap-vbelv = quotation numbr) and it goes further. THIS SHOULD NOT GO FURTHER.
Like I said this FM is called at the time of billing also, so at that time the i_document_number is quotation number thus
vbap-vbeln NE vbap-vbelv codition does not satisfy (because vbap-vbeln = Quotation numbr & vbap-vbelv = Quotation numbr) and it doesnt fo further.
I hope I am able to convay my message. Please do let me know if you find something regarding the same because this is a Std. FM which will be same for everybody.

MacBook Pro Mid 2010 Model very sluggish when trying to carry out "demanding" tasks.

I've had my MacBook Pro for almost three years now, I purchased it in August of 2010 and I have never had any problems with it until recently. First, the disk drive went out on me, it will read very low capacity disks such as photo disks or DVDs but when I try to pop in a game disk or burn anything, it makes this really loud noise and freezes up. I've already had this problem looked at, and I will be sending it to Apple to be repaired in the next month or so.
However, recently, a new problem has occured. Whenever I open an app, especially Safari, if I try to carry out "demanding" tasks (i.e. watch videos on YouTube, get on Facebook, listen to music from Pandora) it freezes and the only solution is to shut the computer down (by pressing and holding the power button, which I know is unhealthy for the computer) and turn it back on. Control+Option+Esc doesn't work anymore when this problem occurs and it doesn't just freeze the app in question, it freezes the entire computer. My GeekSquad and AppleCare over-the-phone-support options are both expired, as I haven't had any reason to renew them, since I haven't had any problems in the past two and a half years.
I have tried every solution that has been said on the web. I've cleaned all the chaches, I've reset the SMC, I tried to reset the PRAM but I didn't get the expected results, I've reset Safari, I've run virus scans, I've deleted unecessary items, I've done disk repairs, I've run all the great utility apps such as OnyX and Memory Clean, I have done everything that has been suggested with no results.
The only thing I can attribute this to is the recent addition of Virtual DJ Pro to my computer. My boyfriend and I use this computer for many purposes, such as making music, making videos, photo editing, writing, surfing the web, but mostly used for school. It used to be used for playing Sims 3, but since the disk drive has stopped working, I have removed the program from the computer completely.
I have read that Macs usually slow down after about 80% of their memory capcity is reached. I'm worried that this is the problem, but why would it only affect Safari? iMovie and iPhoto occasionally freeze, but they have had this problem since I've had the computer. This computer is running with a 2.4 Ghz Intel Core i5 processor with OS X 10.8.3 software and 4 GB 1067 Mhz DDR3 memory. I plan on buying an external hard drive soon and backing up using Time Machine, as I have never done this before and I fear that this problem may affect all of my documents.
I'm still covered by the in-store GeekSquad, but it's a twenty minute drive and the last time I took it in for the disk drive check-up, they basically said "Sorry, take it to Apple" and the nearest Apple store is three hours away in Kansas City, MO.
I put this question under "Internet and Networking" as the thing mostly affected by this problem is Safari. My internet connection is not the problem; it performs fine on the desktop, iPad, and iPhone 5. I am at my wits end here, and if anyone could offer a simple solution, I would be more than grateful. Make a Genius Bar Reservation. Print out a copy of the kernel panic report and the Support Article. If the 'Genius' refuses servicing without cost, ask for the store manager. It is ultimately at the manager's discretion.
