Tired of having to type in all of the notes...

Before I got my Mac, I was on a Windows computer with the free version of FL Studio on it. When I made the switch, GarageBand was a sweet deal. The only complaint I have is that you have to type in every single note, and I was wondering if there is a way to click-to-write like FL Studio without making it sound very quiet? Other than that, it's great! It's easy to use and sounds way nicer than expected.

You want to pencil in the notes correct? If so try this.
1. Create an new empty Midi Software Instrument Track
2. Command Click in the Track Lane to reveal a Pencil tool
3. This will create a Region that you can drag out to any Bar length
4. With Region selected open the Midi Editor window and Command Click inside Grid to Reveal a Pencil tool
5. Now Pencil in the Notes, Drum Beats etc.

My keyboard does not type at all and the trackpad not working properly

Hello everyone,
Today I realised that my computer does not type any letters at all and everytime I try to write something the trackpad works only as if I was pressing the right button (two fingers). After a while the trackpad starts to work again as it should. I have noticed that the trackpad does this when I try to write something. Don't know what to do and this macbook air is quite new and I cannot surf on the internet, write essays and I cannot log in with my password. Sometimes the only letter that works is the "o" and the others do not show up and it makes a sound. I have realised that if I press some of the other letters it can also erase some of the text already there.

It sounds like you have a stuck key or some other malfunction.
Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store, or go to another authorized service provider. You may have to leave the machine there for several days.
Back up all data on the internal drive(s) before you hand over your computer to anyone. There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional—ask if you need guidance.
If privacy is a concern, erase the data partition(s) with the option to write zeros* (do this only if you have at least two complete, independent backups, and you know how to restore to an empty drive from any of them.) Don’t erase the recovery partition, if present.
Keeping your confidential data secure during hardware repair
Apple also recommends that you deauthorize a device in the iTunes Store before having it serviced.
*An SSD doesn't need to be zeroed.

On preview, can i get a copy-able list of all of the notes I highlighted?

I have a pdf file that I have benn taking notes from for a test, and I would like to print out JUST the text I highlighted, with no breaks inbetween (aka "blah blah blah" page 41 "blah blah" page 47)

Changing default open with for file type for all users

can I change the default app to open a specific file type for all users and not juist for my user?

What applications are offered for open with depends on the application itself informing the system it can open certain files, plus your own custom selections for opening files. Evidently the alternate app you want to use does not claim to be able to open the files you are assigning it. If you have a plist editor and know how to use it you could edit the info.plist file inside the application itself to add the file type you want to the application's declaration of file types it will open. Then restart so the system will read that declaration. I think it would be far easier to simply launch the application and then drop a file you want it to open onto its icon in the Dock.

The tables are CABN(characteristic),CUOB(Assignment of Object to Dependency),CUKB(Administrative Information for Dependency Maintenance).By linking these tables we can get the result.
Pls provide the code to achieve the above task.It's urgent.We need to write a select query for that.

You could use the QuickViewer to create your query, no programming involved. It sounds like you know the tables to use and should be able to join them.

A sales document type to all sales areas

Is there a short cut to assign a sales document type to all sales areas (not to assign a sales document with a process of assignment one by one - I need to find out a solution for a single assignment for all sales areas)?

Here you can see you have four steps to be configured
Combine sales organizations     OVAO
Combine distribution channels   OVAM
Combine divisions                     OVAN
Assign sales order types permitted for sales areas OVAZ
To work on any Sales Document type keep this 4 steps blank.
You wll not get any Error.

I just got the mid 2011 macbook air and it does not have ilife or iPhoto on it...isnt it supposed to come with it? and if it does then how do i get it on the mac without having to pay for it in the app store?

All my puchased TV Shows Play with small green dots all over the screen!!

After installing the latest version on Itunes from System Update all my videos play covered with little green dots... Whats up with that??? Also I usually down load two epesodes of LOST before watching because one just isn't enough. Well aside from having little green dots all over the screen one of my Lost episode wont play at all... "Par Avion". It shows up in my Lost folder under TV SHows but it doesn't show up in my Purchased items. When I click on it it wont open either... However the lastest LOST, "The Man From Tallahassee" shows up and will play?? Itunes Store says I have all my down loads but I have not seen and can not open episode "Par Avion"..... Damm So this is a two part problem. Little green dots and the episode that wont open... HELP!@!!!

only way I found to fix it it is selecting each episode 1 at a time in order and syncing after each one.

Edit. Actually seams to work if you select each individual episode in the order you want sync'd and then sync.

How do I print all of my "notes" in Apple Mail?

I have a couple of hundred notes and I would like to print all of them out so I have a hard copy. Is there a way to print all of the notes together or do I have to open each one and print them out individually? I have tried to copy and paste after selecting all of the documents but that doesn't seem to work. Is there a way to export the whole list of notes? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In Library Manager it's the FIle -> Rebuild command)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

Keystroke to close all the note annotations in Preview ?

I use preview to annotate PDF documents with notes/comments. Sometimes the notes overlap one another. Is there a way to close all of the notes/comments with a keystroke combination rather than closing each one individually by clicking the X in the note window?

Because it's not necessary. The apps in the "multitasking bar" as most people seem to call it, are not necessarily actually running.

I upgraded my Ipad 1 to system 4.3.3 and have lost all of the data in my contacts app

All of the notes I entered for the past year have been deleted. This is an apple app but was erased after the update.

On the previous software version I used to be able to view all my calendar events as a list by clicking on the magnifying glass. Now you have to type into the search dialog box for a list to populate. This is very frustrating and annoying because I much prefer the list format to populate everything unless I specify what I am looking for into the search box. Is there a way to view all the events as a list without having to type anything into the search box?

And you are aware of the possible options for listing the months and having an optional export value for each month.
For listing the months, you can use a number, a 3 character string, or the full name.
For the export value, the full name, the 3 character value, the 1-2 number, or the 0-11 JavaScript value.
I would look at deciding how you want to populate the drop down box and build a one page form with just this field. You can then insert that page into a PDF and copy the field as needed and then delete the inserted page. Or you could create an FDF file to create the drop down box.

With Lion 10.7.1. you where able to drag events from "All Day Events" into the "Reminders" bar to create upcoming reminders.

Great being able to sync reminders (well overdue) however if I have to re-type a calener envent into reminders it's a waste of time!!
Come on Apple!!
Just need an option for the calender event to add to reminder or the old drag to add to reminder functionality back, Please???
