Title 3D disappeared (again)

Due to one of the recent upgrades to FCP 6 my Title 3D no longer appears as an option. It is still quite visible in the application support folder. Isd there any way to make FCP 'see' it again (short of a reinstall)?
Why does this happen--the second time for me?

Titles created in Boris title crawl disappear after render

I build a title roll in Boris Title Crawl for a weekly TV show that I edit in HDV 1080i60 (that is how I get the footage) that airs on Dish Network and DirecTV. I build the end credits in Boris Title Crawl using the "Roll" animation style. The roll will appear in the perfect position on the screen. However, sometimes over time and subsequent rendering, the titles will disappear completely from the screen, and I believe they are being positioned far off to the side outside of the viewable area. The wireframe for the roll remains in the correct position, it just appears empty. If I re-open Boris Title Crawl and then click "apply" again, the mispositioning is corrected, at least for a while. If I try to export using quicktime conversion to another format (Quicktime Movie with H.264 compression), the roll might disappear again, and the movie will export without the roll. This has only been happening since upgrading to FCP 7, I don't recall it every happening with FCP 6. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I don't use Boris regularly, but when I have, I never encountered this, and I doubt it's related to upgrading to 7. If I understand correctly what you're describing, the changes could be caused by any number of things – like whatever cutting took place on your TL "over time and subsequent rendering" causing re-renders.
How many v tracks do you have and is the crawl on a separate track? Consider exporting the credits clip as a QT movie and reimport it.
And somewhat off topic, typically I get better (and far more predictable) results by exporting my sequence as a QTMovie (current settings) and do all encoding (e.g., H.264) in Compressor.

Try relaunching the Finder. Type command, option and esc (three keys together), click on Fidner, then Relaunch.

When trying to save a bookmark to a specific pre-established folder the window disappears and will not allow me to make a selection. If I hover in the area it will flash on the screen and disappear again, it's annoying please help!

When I attempt to save a new bookmark and want to save it in a folder the window that typically appears just below the address bar will not stay on the screen. It flashes on the screen and as soon as I move my cursor over it, it disappears. It will not allow me to make a selection of any kind. If I randomly hover over the general area the window will flash back in view but disappear again just as quickly. If I then show all my bookmarks, the bookmark was saved and I have to move it to the folder I actually want it in. Just a few extra steps, but still very annoying. Please help!

I got my contacts back by doing another restore! Relief..

Cd image disappear again!!

Hi folks,
Earlier, cd images disappeared when it tried mounting in finder/itunes, but it got solved when osx 10.6 updated to 10.6.3 or 2, cant remember. But anyway, after itunes came with the new update, Ive got the same problem. Anyone experiencing the same? Im ripping in my own cds to itunes, and I did 5 cds and the last disappeared. So if I restart my mac, it will show up and after 4/5 new cds, it disappears again. Same old stuff.
By the way, I experience so much troubles with itunes 10.. If I scan artwork for the cds, it wont import using the cmd+i. Only one jpg will stay imported. And I cant go back to itunes 9, cause then it mess up my iphone sync. Apple please fix this issues with disappearing cd images and artwork bugs

Apple has a tech note about using hubs for itune sync.
I'll post a link when I find it.
If having a problem don't use it or try another hub.
A powered hub should have an external power dongle- check it is working and plugged in. The hub can still work even if the dongle is not there but the USB cables will have less DC power.
Remember the USB cables have power AND data lines and the problems is the DATA lines.
Using longer cables or EXTENDER cables and a hub or even the supplied APPLE dock will cause data corruptions. EVERY connection in a USB line will cause a reduction of quality in high speed USB cable. A hub can add a lot of electrical noise.
example : A 6 foot USB extender cable -- the Apple Ipad cable -- the Apple Ipad DOCK --- The Ipad = NO sync
NOW remove the extended cable or the DOCK from this line and sync will work
The Ipad might be a bit sensitive to USB noise or the supplied Apple cable could use some more shielding ( it does look thin ).

The Mac has never needed "Full Screen". It has done multiple screen Extended Desktop since 1987.
Full screen is an iPhone feature, carried into this verion with the mult-touch gestures and other so-called "unifying" features.

Upgraded to Firefox 5.0. Cannot keep my refresh, stop & home buttons organised. Lost my plugin buttons (yes they ARE compatible with 5). View toolbars customise shows me them again, but the done they disappear again. Firefox 5 is buggy.

Firstly, try following the instructions here:

Hopefully, after doing that, the buttons should stay where you put them.
As far as the reload/stop buttons are concerned, they've been effectively merged into a single button. It is possible to split them though. When customising, drop a "Flexible Space" widget so that it is situated between both buttons (they always show as two separate buttons in the customisation mode).
It's also worth noting that, if you want plugin icons to appear on a status bar, you can re-instate this behaviour with the help of the [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/status-4-evar/ Status-4-Evar] extension.

Numbers doc disappeared, again!

I have been using Numbers as a job list document. It is saved externally to a G-Tech G-safe RAID 1 drive with access to it via a Mac Mini Server. Twice the file has disappeared. After the first time I thought that it was possible, but unlikely that either myself or my business partner could have deleted it. So I gave Numbers the benefit of the doubt. After having rebuilt the file for a second time the file has disappeared AGAIN. This time I am completely sure the file was not deleted by either of us. There is no sign of it on iCloud either. As I don't use iCloud.
Any pointers would be greatfully recieved on: (a) getting the file back! (b) stopping this from happening again!
Apple this needs to be sorted!

Numbers doesn't seem to be designed to work well with Mac server software. It is designed to work well with iCloud. Any chance of storing your documents in iCloud?

:-) the problem is solved. Thanks to a great typ in one of the other discussions with alt+cmd+S iTunes looks again like something I recognize. After removing the iPod from iMac and also from the connecting "holder", turning it on ad off, rebooting the iMac, maggic happens and the iPod now shows in iTunes and everything works just fine.

* In Firefox 3.6 and later on Windows you can hide the "Menu Bar" via "View > Toolbars" or via the right-click context menu on a toolbar.
* Press F10 or press and hold the Alt key down to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily.
* Go to "View > Toolbars" or right-click the "Menu Bar" or press Alt+V T to select which toolbars to show or hide (click on an entry to toggle the state).

With a Device plugged in - place your mouse cursor over DEVICES - you should see 'show' or 'hide'. Click on 'show'.

Line out has disappeared again!

Hello everybody!
Last week I updated my Mac mini and installed the latest OS.
The problem I wanted to solve is that the "line out" and "line in" audio were not in the list in the settings, and I could not hear any sound.
The OS update solved the problem, but today I've been surprised to see that the "line out" and "line in" were disappeared again!
How can it be? DO you have an idea?
The list of the settings only shows "Soundflower (2ch)" and "Soundflower (4ch)". Nothing else.

Hmmmm it seems as the problem is like the one mentioned in "Sound Output devices list empty???", Posted: Sep 30, 2007 11:03 AM.
I'll open it and check the flat cable as soon as possible.

If you use "Join a wireless network" then the ethernet ports of the TC are cut off.. that is standard apple setup.
Is that the setting you are using?
I strongly recommend you don't do that.. keep the ethernet from router to the WAN of the TC.. that is what the TC is designed to do. Join a wireless network is a hidden option and unsupported.
But I am still unclear on your intention..
Describe exactly what you want to achieve.
Or give some screen shots of the setup on the TC you are using.. and what you were hoping it would do.
