Title editor not cooperating

Been using Pr Pro CS3 with windows XP with little problem, except having to convert AVCHD files to AVI first. Now I've got Pr Pro CS4 installed on a WINDOWS 7 machine (because 7 will show thumbnails of my HD camera files), Dell T3400.
Today was the first time I have had the occasion to create a title under this new configuration. It went well the first time, no problem. Then I tried to create another title, and problems arose. The title edit area is now all scrunched up in a tiny square in the upper left corner of the title editing frame (see attached screen cap). You can see the cursor blinking up there, and it seems to be taking text with keystrokes. And the vertical and horizontal scroll bars are there, albeit scrunched up with the rest of the mess.
I tried to find a point on which to right-click hoping it would come up with a zoom function, but it did not. There is no scaling tab to grab.
Then I tried shutting down the program and restarting it. Still there. Then I restarted the whole computer, still there. Further, it does it even on new projects, unrelated to the one in which the problem began to appear. It worked right only once, and now it's incorrigible.
Does anyone have any hopeful advice for me?

When you have your Workspace set up as you like it, save it as a Custom Workspace. Every now and then, I have to go back to one of these - usually when I clicked something that I did not want to. Amazing how quickly one can fritz up their Workspace!

Unable to use Titles- will not compile or render titles (preview or export)

I have been unable to insert titles in Premiere Pro CC. I just installed it yesterday, and everything seems to work except when I try and insert titles using PPro's internal Titler. The preview line above the title (and only the title) remains red and when rendering the preview a "Error compiling movie: Unknown error" pops up. When exporting, once it gets to the title, it will also stop the render with the same error. If I remove the title, it renders fine. When creating a new Title, I have made sure that the pixel size, etc. is the same as the rest of the project. Occasionally, I can make a modification to the title and it will display properly in the preview window, temporarily. Once I take some other action even as minor as saving the project, the title will revert to its failed state. In this state, it won't render and when playing the preview, the image will freeze on the last frame before the title and once it is past the title, the video continues. It is a simple rolling title for end credits. If the title is temporarily working in the preview window, it will also work in the project box. However, when the title is in its failed state, the thumbnail in the project window also does not work. Click it gives that multi-language media rednering screen. Double clicking the titles anywhere brings up the Title editor screen and everything appears fine. The screenshot below shows the error after trying to render the preview of the title. I tried disabling the CUDA acceleration (I have a GTX770 card) with no change. I have also tried various file formats in the export to no avail as copying and pasting into a new sequence to no avail. The C: drive has over 70GB free and the disk with the scratch files has over 170GB free. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I am still having the problems with it however I will have to re-create the test case as I accidentally cleaned it out when I cleaned up my APEX space at oracle's public server. I will rebuild the test case and post a link later today.

Is there any way to add a fade gradient to a rectangle I made with the title editor?

I made a rectangle as a background with the title editor.
I want to make the sides fade out to nothing, sort of like a glow in PS...
Is there any way to do that?
I tried using a stroke, and a gradient, but I didn't see a way to select no color.
Any ideas?

Neat! You always come up with some great tricks.
Now, I am not clear on this part, so some "hand-holding" will be necessary:
Make it the size of the action safe margin, so it is slightly smaller than the framesize.
Can you give me a bit more detail, please?
I did the Fast Blur @ 60 and checked Blur Dimensions to Horizontal and it gave me a nice gradient.
I just think that I am missing something, regarding the Action Safe Margins.

[Edit] It might have just dawned on me. You are limiting one side of the rectangle WITH the Action Safe Margin. Is that correct? That would give one the rectangle coming in solid from outside the Frame and then "fading" on the end that we can see.

The problem is that I burned these CD's myself from music that I added from my personal collection to iTunes. The INFO is ON the CD's (it appears perfectly when I put the CD in my Numark mixer...so I know the info is on the CD), but for some reason, my MAC PRO will NOT read the info on the burned CD when I place the CD into the MAC PRO. The CD was burned on a MAC that I no longer own. But there HAS to be a way to transfer songs from a burned CD with the INFO that is on the CD burned with iTunes.

I purchasd an ITune Audio Book using a borrowed Windows Computer. After the Download I attempted to Sync and was told that I was synced to a different [something]. It then asked if I wanted to sync to this [Something] I said yes. IT wiped all the stuff off my IPod then gave the following message:
The [title] was not copied to the iPod [name] becuse you are not authorized for it on this computer.
How can I get this to work?
It considered the computer pretty acceptable when it took my money for the title. I think I have been ripped off.
THis whole SYNC is an innecessay step. Why can't I just download stuff to my iPod (from any sourch by the way) and delete it from my iPod when I don't want it any more.

The title does not show up in the Program Sequence window in PP CC

I am trying to add a simple title in one of the clips of a video that I am editing. I can see the title in the title window with the clip in the background but when I play the video the playback doesn't show the title but the clip.
How can I can I solve this problem? I am using a trial version of PP CC.

I looked at the video. I did exactly the same thing. What do you mean by "poke out the eyeball on that track"? Do you refer to the little icon on the top right corner of the title window that has an eye?
I have just done the following test: I created a colored background (green) and dragged that on the video track above my project then I added the title above this colored background on a third video track. Now the title shows up in the program window but the background is black not green. So it looks like that the title does not have a transparent background.

Did you download Tron in HD? If so, try syncing the SD version that came with it

Some titles are not saved

Hi there,
After my last import I started to sort out the pictures and - as I always do - changed the title of the pictures to something more sensible. I noticed that some titles were not saved after entering them, so I closed iPhoto, opened it again and entered the missing titles. No way they will be saved! I then started iPhoto with the cmd+option key and let the permissions be repaired. Don't know why, but it was a feeling. Did not help. HAs anyone encountered this problem too? It seems to happen after the update to the current version (9.1.5).

As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?

Without seeing the timeline it sounds as if they've been off. Maybe you pressed the V or the role is switched off in the timeline index.

Images and titles are not showing up

I took a screen shot of it, but when I load tumblr and reddit specifically, but there are other pages, smaller images and title do not show up. I tried the trouble shooting, and the reset, and looked at extensions. Nothing worked, I still have the problem.
When I use tumblr, and click on the number of likes/reshares and it opens the list below the pictures, all I see is small icons instead of showing me the names of who did what.
On reddit, the top tabs (new, hot, etc) aren't showing up.

Upgrading to JSF 1.2, error: Property Editor not registered

we have a JSF appliction working well on Jboss 4.0.5GA using myfaces 1.1. Now we are moving to jboss 5.0.1GA that uses jsf ri 1.2. After fixing some issues, finally we got the following error for our custom component at runtime:

We had MyFaces jars and things are very fine. We are planning to use Iceface which required JSF 1.2
I had taken jsf-api-1.2.jar and jsf-impl-1.2.jar and latest supporting jars.
Now I am getting below error with existing jsp

Installed ES - Error when loading adminui: Property Editor not registered with the PropertyEditorManager

I just installed LiveCycle ES on a Windows 2003 virtual machine using the WebSphere application server.
Everything is finally installed, but now when I try to access the adminui url (http://xxxxx:9080/adminui/login.faces) I receive the following exception:
Error 500: com.ibm.ws.jsp.JspCoreException: Unable to convert string 'adminUIResources' to class javax.el.ValueExpression for attribute basename: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Property Editor not registered with the PropertyEditorManager
Am I missing something? What now?

You shouldn't have any appserver specific libraries in WEB-INF/lib (covered by the webapp's default classpath). Further on the appserver/lib (covered by the appserver's default classpath) should only contain appserver specific libraries and at highest 3rd party libraries which are going to be shared among all webapps. Finally you should NOT have added or modified anything in the jdk/lib (covered by the runtime's default classpath).
So in case of a default and unmodified environment everything should just work flawlessly. In your specific case it seems that you've unnecessarily added/copied appserver specific libraries in the WEB-INF/lib or that you have duplicated EL libraries from (another) appserver in the appserver/lib or maybe -more worse- in the jdk/lib.
