TITLE for the Interactive report
Hi,
I like to show a Title for the Interactive Report in several different languages.
But it seems if I just pick Interactive report, there will be no Title shown.
What is proper way of doing this ?
So, what I did was, I created a HTNL region, just to show the Title, but it seems the translation and XLF file doesn't pick it up

It looks like a bug.
The REGION title text is missing in "TRANSLATE APPLICATION" in "SHARED COMPONENTS" under WINDOWS environment.
The REGION title text is in SUN environment, but does not shown as translated in the browser.

How can i reorder the columns in the do not display section of the interactive report.

My interactive report contains 185 columns, and the user requieres to build his customized reports with some columns, but the he gets lost between this amount of columns, this would be easier if the columns in the do not display section of the interactive report would be sorted automaticaly, Is this possible?

One solution would be to order the column names alphabetically. You can create a JavaScript dynamic action to handle the sorting.
The shuttle of the IR attribute "Select Columns" have the ID's "apexir_SHUTTLE_LEFT" or the Hidden colums and "apexir_SHUTTLE_RIGHT" for the displayed columns.
The function you'd need to create would look like:

You'd need to find the propper timing for the dynamic action to run, I guess click of the button "Select Columns" would do the trick.

How to sort a average in the interactive report
I have a interactive report. The columns are candidate_name, reviewer_name, score.
each reviewer will have a score for a candidate. There are many candidates. My boss wants to know which candidate get the highest average score. I build an interactive report.
I can average the score for each candidate_name and break with this column. I don't know if we can sort the average score for each candidate_name column. If we can, how to do this.
Thanks a lot!Not sure if you got an answer for this, but the only way I know how to do it would be to use an analytic function on the query so that the average of the scores is listed as a column. When you have that, then you can sort by it. As of ApEx 3.2.1, you will not be able to create this new column using the interactive reports "Compute" feature. You'll need to build it into the SQL.

How does the Filter Operator "Contains" work on the Interactive Reports?

I'm creating Tool Tip definitions for the Operators in the Filter on the Interactive Reports. I was looking for a definition for the 'Contains' operator and from what I've found this operator is used to do a text search and it returns a relevance score for every row selected.
I've also read that in order for that score to be determined that the column(s) need to be indexed with a CONTEXT index. Non of the columns in the tables are indexed with a CONTEXT index, however, when I put a value in the Expression box for a column I get a record returned.
If I run the same query in PL/SQL Developer like:
SELECT <column>
FROM <table>
WHERE contains(<column>,<search text>,1) > 0;I get an error that the column is not indexed, so how does it work in APEX?

The IR "Contains" filter performs a simple string comparison on all of the column values returned. It does not make use of any Oracle Text indexes on the underlying data.

Conditional where, or PL/SQL block as source for an interactive report?
I have this situation: The main screen of my application shows a list of documents. For now, there has to be a quick "security" built in, so administrators can see all documents, but other users can only see the documents they created (login of creator is stored in the documents table). In the future we'll probably use VPD's to enforce some rules, but for now we need a quick solution.
So i stored the administrators in a seperate table. Now i want the interactive report on the main page act as follows:
- If an admin is logged in, it has to have this query: select field 1, field 2, field 3 from documents
- For all other users: select field 1, field 2, field 3 from documents where creator = :app_user
Is this possible in one interactive report? I could make two reports with the different queries and make them conditional according to who is logged in, but this gives me two interactive reports to maintain. Is it possible to use a PL/SQL block as source for the report? I tried, but I get syntax errors. Is it possible to make the where clause conditional on some way?Hi,

Search chinese in the interactive report
I find the interactive report does not run fine for the chinese.
I can not search the chinese in the interactive report.Interactive report search on multi byte string seems to work fine. Do you have a test case I can take a look perhaps in apex.oracle.com?

How can I create a Title for the worksheet in Discoverer Plus
Dear members,
I am using discoverer 4i Plus to create workbooks. I am not finding an option to insert a title for the worksheet. In Discoverer Desktop we have a separate option to insert or edit a title. I am not sure how can we create titles in Plus.

I am not able to login to Discoverer Desktop Using my Applications username. My Desktop Version is 4.1.37. The same username works in Discoverer 4i Plus and i can create workbook there.
I went to Tools--->Options--->Connections and checked the option connect to both standard and application EUL's and while i am logging in i checked the small box which comes in the login screen. I do not know why this happening.
I am also able to login as the database user in Desktop but not as an application user.
I want to login into desktop as an application user and create a template workbook which has title and then assign that workbook to a particular responsibility since creating title cannot be done in Plus.
I am not sure what's going wrong here because the Desktop works for database user but not for an application user. Any comments are highly appreciated.

Dynamic selections for the FBL5N report
Hi Experts,
Can any body help how to add the account assignment group field in dynamic selections for the FBL5N report.

Thanks for your quick response, here for the report FBL5N the logical database is DDF and the field which should be add in dynamic selection is (KTGRD) account assignment group is available in KNVV table but this table is not available in DDF logival database.
Please suggest us how we can pickup this field into the report FBL5N for dynamic selections.

Cannot restart after failed Leopard install
