Title in new browser window

Hello,
I wonder if someone can reproduce that one.
I'm using this code to open a new browser window
<af:commandMenuItem text="blabla" useWindow="true" action="add"
id="dialogTrigger" windowWidth="800" windowHeight="600" />In that new window, the jspx page includes a template.
Here is the starting code of that page:
<?xml version='1.0' encoding='windows-1252'?>
<jsp:root xmlns:jsp="http://java.sun.com/JSP/Page" version="2.1"
          xmlns:f="http://java.sun.com/jsf/core"
          xmlns:af="http://xmlns.oracle.com/adf/faces/rich"
          xmlns:trh="http://myfaces.apache.org/trinidad/html"
          xmlns:tr="http://myfaces.apache.org/trinidad">
    <jsp:directive.page contentType="text/html;"/>
  <f:view>
    <af:document title="blabla">
      <af:messages/>
      <af:form>
        <af:pageTemplate viewId="/WEB-INF/templates/popup.jspx">
...Every tag is closed at the end (double checked).
The new browser window has for title "http://127.0.0.1:8988/app/index.jspx - Mozilla Firefox" but I think it should have "blabla - Mozilla Firefox".
Correct me if I'm wrong?
Also, the resulting HTML does not seem to be valid as an orphan closing tag </head> is found just after the opening <html> tag...

Which tag library is referenced by your "afh" ?
I can't see it in jdeveloper 11 ...
According to the reference documentation for tag <af:document />:
The UnifiedDocument creates each of the standard root elements of an HTML page: <html>, <body>, and <head>, but by abstracting away from those components, can be used in non-HTML pages as well. ...
title
String
Yes
the title of the document. (This title doesn't have to match the title on any contained panelPage. More on that:
The generated HTML has a frameset included that points to the real page. Inside "onload" event, that frameset has a call to fixDialogTitle(). The embedded html page has the <title> defined by the <af:document title="fds">, so this works fine... so I guess the fixDialogTitle() function has to transfer the title from that embedded page to the parent one ?

    You can create a javascript to window.open having toobar, menubar or statusbar=0. The page content can be customized per need. Call this javascript from a link or button click using javascript:popup_window();
    For example,
    <script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript">
    function popup_window()
    w = window.open("", "Window", "width=320,height=400,status=0,toolbar=0,menubar=0");
    w.document.write('<html><head><title>Help Window</title>');
    w.document.write('</head><body>');
    w.document.write('<div><font face="Arial" size="2">This is help page.');
    w.document.write('</font></div><p>');
    w.document.write('<div><font face="Arial" size="1"><a href="javascript:window.close();">Close This Window</a></font></div><p>');
    w.document.write('</body></html>');
    </script>Ittichai

  • How do get a dynamic image to open in new browser window

    I'm using DW CS3, mysql (MAMP)   OS 10.6.2   I'm designing my online store.  I need the customer to be able to click dynamic image/thumbnails to view a larger image in a new browser pop up window 400 x 400.  An example of this functionality can be seen at :
    http://www.designpublic.com/spot-on-square-roh-dresser
    So far I can get the separate new browser window to open with the dynamic image, using the open new browser behavior, but the on click also advances to next page with the larger image. You have to press the back button to get back to the product page.  I want the customer to be able to see the product page , while viewing larger image, and then close larger image, and still have the product page open. I don't understand why 2 windows are opening.
    Thanks for the help people!

    Hi
    I did look at it but, (and this is only my opinion, I do not like such effects) it is your decision.
    If you view source you will see -
    <a href="#" onclick="popWin('http://www.designpublic.com/catalog/product/gallery/id/12706/image/91883/', 'gallery', 'width=300,height=300,left=50,top=50,location=no,status=yes,scrollbars=yes,resizable=yes'); return false;" title="Spot on Square Roh Dresser" class="gallery-image-link"><img src="http://arcsmedia01.s3.amazonaws.com/catalog/product/cache/2/thumbnail/56x56/5e06319eda06f020e43594a9c230972d/r/o/roh_dresser1.jpg" alt="" /></a>
    Which is controlled by the javascript function
    popWin()
    which you can view using the firefoxe dev toolbar - view javascript function.

  • Want To Have Flash Project Open In New Browser Window

    Hi,
    My project outputs and plays perfect to Flash (let default to
    Flash 7) but when viewing it (via a link from a web page) it opens
    in a "next" window and at the end, if you use the X (EXIT) button
    from the player control bar it wants to close the browser window
    and does not take you back to the webpage (where I have the link to
    play). I cannot seem to find an option in the Preferences or during
    output to make the player open in a "new" browser window. Is it
    possible there is a browser setting for this instead of setting in
    Captivate? (IE 6 or 7) Thanks for any help/suggestions!

    Hi leh1, and welcome to the User Community for Captivate!
    The window in which any content plays is determined by the
    code contained for the link,
    in the web-page from which it is launched. In a nutshell,
    you add these parameters to the link when it is created in the
    "Parent" window.
    Below is a snippet from a Menu Builder project in which the
    links to "Project1" and "Project2" are set to open in a "New"
    window, without chrome (note the many "
    =no" following an equal sign), at a size of 720 pixels by
    540 pixels ... the snip below shows a link to "Project1.htm", a
    document containing a Captivate movie. I have bolded the specific
    entries that control the type window ("OpenCustomLink") and the
    size of that window ("width=720,height=540"):
    <P style="cursor: pointer; cursor: hand; position:
    absolute; left: 90px; top: 149px; text-decoration: none; font:
    normal 18pt Arial; color: #000000" title="Project 1" onclick="
    OpenCustomLink('project1.htm', '_blank',
    'scrollbars=no,status=no,
    titlebar=yes,toolbar=no,menubar=no,location=no,resizable=yes,
    fullscreen=no,
    width=720,height=540'); "
    onmouseover="this.style.color='#0000FF'; "
    onmouseout="this.style.color='#000000';">Project 1</P>
    (some spaces inserted to avoid horizontal scroll)
    All of which is to say, the target window is controlled from
    the link in the parent document. I wouldn't suggest you just
    copy-paste the above code, as I took liberties with it. I
    would suggest that you can do this yourself with your own
    HTML editor (Dreamweaver, etc.), or even better, get your local
    web-guru to do it for you.
    All the best!!

  • Open a New Browser window in WD ABAP by specifying a window name

    Hi,
    Is there any method in Web dynpro ABAP that allows you to create a new browser window with the import of a Web dynpro Window name, not URL. Currently I only found
    methods which input is the URL not Window name.

    Hi
      Accessing an application with the window name is not possible.The other possibility is accessing it using the application name.Follow the code...It will be

  • PDF viewer into new browser window

    Hello,
    I use following code to open new browser window with PDF file. The URL passed to the method is link to SICF service which returns the PDF in the request with content-type = 'application/pdf'. New window is open with correct URL, but the content is not displayed - Refresh or Go button has to be pressed to display it. Don't you experience similar problem? Is this WD error or some IE security setting?
    Thank you and best regards,
    Ludek
      lr_window = lr_w_manager->create_external_window(
          url = ld_url
          title = ''

          has_menubar = abap_true
          is_resizable = abap_true
          has_scrollbars = abap_true
          has_statusbar = abap_true
          has_toolbar = abap_true ).
      lr_window->open( ).

    Hi Ludek,
    Probably a compression problem. Have you turned off gzip compression for the pdf?
    Btw, an alternate solution without having a separate handler is to use the cl_wd_runtime_services=>attach_file_to_response() method.
    Best regards,

  • Open New Browser Window Behavior

    I have set a behavior in Dreamweaver CS3 to open a new
    browser window to a set size and to only show scroll bars if
    needed. I have left all other attributes unchecked. This works fine
    in all browsers including IE6 but IE7 ignores all my settings and
    just opens a normal full size browser window showing scroll bars,
    address bar, menus etc. Can anyone tell me how to make IE7 open a
    new browser window to my settings using the behaviors in
    Dreamweaver CS3?
    Thanks.
    Russ.

    I cannot reproduce this in IE7. Your OBW behavior works just
    the way you
    want for me. In your code, make sure that this is all on one

  • Generate new browser window on using include directive/action tag in curren

    Hi Life line
    if i used jsp include directive/action taag inside my current jsp code it open new browser window but if i
    not use that include directive or action tag in my jsp source it properly display next jsp in
    same browser window
    how i can rid of this .i am confuse why it happens
    thanks
    Vivek Harnal

    1) on clicking view button it submit other page by
    script function()
    2) it work fine & display in same browser window if i
    am not incliudes jsp page after body tag .Your included JSP has a head and body of its own. If the including page has a head and body of its own, then the two will clash. Generally, it is best to make includes be fragments, ie, have no
    <html> <head> </head> <body> </body> </html> tags.
    3) included jsp use for standard menu based Header
    source of included page is
    <script type="text/javascript"
    src="menu_array.js"></script>
    <script type="text/javascript"
    src="mmenu.js"></script>

  • Open new browser window without buttons, menus or URl-field

  • Dreamweaver cs3 new browser window

    I have a link on my page which will display image in new browser window and window size is fixed but problem is it will display white background but i want it will display black blackground. i have more than 20 link of such type which will display image in new browser window of fixed size.
    Rajeev.

    Hi Rajeev,
    Based on what Paula (PZ) has written I was experimenting with things at my end also.
    @Paula: I took a different approach ...actually did this approach for the first time. Your solution of using document.write is perfect but I thought to share a way which I tried also...you may find it interesting
    Here it is:
    I created a link in the parent page <a href="javascript:;" onclick="openwin('property_files/banner.gif');">Link</a> and defined the openwin() funtion as following:
    <script type="text/javascript">
    function openwin(imgpath){
        window.open('imagewin.html',imgpath,'status=yes,scrollbars=yes,resizable=yes,width=800,he ight=600');
    </script>
    In the above i am passing the image path from the link's click and using it as window name (second argument in the window.open)
    Now I created this blank imagewin.html which has following code:
    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
    <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
    <head>
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" />
    <title>Untitled Document</title>
    <style type="text/css">
    -->
    </style>
    <script type="text/javascript">
    function showImg(){
    var imgval=window.name;
    document.write('<img src='+imgval+'>');
    document.bgColor='black';
    </script>
    </head>
    <body onload="showImg();">
    </body>
    </html>
    So on this blank page I am calling a showImg() function and then I have captured the window name into a variable and then used document.write to create the image tag with the captured path and finally set bgColor as black.
    So using this one can simply pass the imagepath from each link and it would display new image each time!
    Worked well for me!!!
    Hows that?
    More than anytihng I just loved the fact that there is so much try and experiment with....I just love all this
    Regards
    Vinay

    You can create a javascript to window.open having toobar, menubar or statusbar=0. The page content can be customized per need. Call this javascript from a link or button click using javascript:popup_window();
    For example,
    <script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript">
    function popup_window()
    w = window.open("", "Window", "width=320,height=400,status=0,toolbar=0,menubar=0");
    w.document.write('<html><head><title>Help Window</title>');
    w.document.write('</head><body>');
    w.document.write('<div><font face="Arial" size="2">This is help page.');
    w.document.write('</font></div><p>');
    w.document.write('<div><font face="Arial" size="1"><a href="javascript:window.close();">Close This Window</a></font></div><p>');
    w.document.write('</body></html>');
    </script>Ittichai

    When we are running discoverer reports with this parameters we unwantedly get the connections page of the discoverer plus which we don't want.
    Went through the documentation given in this page and followed it still the issue persists, and i see couple of threads with my issue and no updates.
    This excerpt is from the documentation available in the link
    " _plus_popup=true and framedisplaystyle=embedded launches Discoverer Plus in a new pop-up browser window that contains the Plus applet embedded in it "
    http://www.art2dec.com/documentation/docs/oas10g1012/linux/bi.1012/b13918/urlstart.htm

  • Opening New Browser window for click event on an image

    hi all,
    I want someone to help me out solving the problem of opening
    a new browser window on the mouse click event of an image or a
    button etc.... The new window would contain the datagrid details
    from the main window, but in an expanded form. If at all there is a
    solution, I even want to know whether there is anyway for sizing
    the poped up window,because I dont want the new poped up window to
    cover the entire screen.
    For getting better idea of my problem, the best example I
    could give is the popup window that appears when we click on the
    preview button while posting the message to the forum.
    Someone please do help me out in this regard.
    Thanks,
    amar.

    I'd definitely try to use a Flex popup... but the
    flash.net.navigateToURL method is a simple way to open a popup
    window in a new browser. You can pass any data needed by the new
    page using the URLRequest and/or URLVariables. The URL you navigate
    to could, of course, be another Flex application if necessary. I
    use this only when I need to open a popup window on another site,
    or an HTML formatter report or something similar.
    Concerning yourself with the size of the popup window may be
    a bad design choice also. I, for example, have my browser
    configured to open all popups in a new tab regardless of sizing
    constraints imposed by the designer. If it is absolutely necessary
    for you to have control over the size of your popup window, you
    should follow the advice given by others and use a Flex
    popup.

  • Command to open a PDF generated Oracle Report in New browser window

    I know this is probably something for the Oracle Forums but I'll ask anyway because I can't find any info out there on this, without some extra work.
    I am generating a PDF file from 10g Oracle reports on Linux RHEL 5 and storing the PDF file to the server. I can send that PDF file directly to a printer with the "lpr" command and that part works fine.
    What I'm wanting to do now is "View" the PDF from within the server in a new window. We are using RHEL 5 (Linux) platform and I'm trying to see if there is a way to open the file with a "command line" command that will open it in a new browser window or new window period (opening it with Adobe Acrobat).
    Does anyone have a command that will do this? Otherwise, how has everyone else been handling this. The idea of just viewing the previously generated PDF Report file will save us overhead on our database servers because they won't have to re-run some of the same reports over and over.
    Any help and assistance is appreciated.
    Chris

    Several options:
    - If you only want to show the pdf to the client without printing, use destype=cache and use WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT after the RUN_REPORT_OBJECT (for examples search the forms-forum, there are lots)
    -If you have to generate the pdf to a file to get it printed, you could
    +use WEBUTIL_FILETRANSFER.AS_TO_CLIENT after the printing to transfer the file to the client, then use CLIENT_HOST to view it.
    +map the appserver-directory you generate the report to as a virtual directory in the application-server then use WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT to directly access the generated file via url.

  • Open URL Link in new browser window

    Can someone please help me? I've tried to use code as if I were using Dreamweaver without any luck(i.e. blank target).
    Is there a way to make the url in the PDF open a new browser windows once clicked? Hopefully this is an easy fix! Thanks in advance!

    Jono, if you are still out there.  I am also having trouble with this function.  The button works just fine, but it does not open another browser window.  I am trying to keep my pdf open, and send them to a url.  That way they can come back to the form. Like you would with the target="_blank" function in javascript.
    What am i doing wrong?  I have tried opening the script editor, but I am not sure what to do there. So I put the same as you did on your form, no effect.  I put target="_blank" and set it to javascript on just about every option.  I have tried to go into the code on the xml source tab, no luck anywhere.  I have tried to just use a text field, no luck.
    Seems like everything I have tried has no effect.
    Hopefully you can tell me it is something simple...
    Thanks in advance.
    Jodi
