Title in web form

Hi
I'm trying to create a new web form for people to subscribe to a newsletter.
I just want the form fields to be name and email but I can't seem to work out how to remove the title and the first name
any ideas?

You need first and last name on web forms.
You can combine them into FullName - http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-2363
Just delete the title html from the form.

I am running Form9i, I have set the browser windows title from Web Forms dynamically by using following method. However, when my PC has changed to XP, the function seems not work. Does anybody have same problem and how to solve it? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Add the Javascript code to your baseHTML file. For example,

In web Forms , call the javascript function with WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT built.

Thanks for your reply. Can you tell me in detail which built-in function in Webutil can set value in browser title ?
Btw, is it possible for me to set parameter "separateFrame=True" in formsweb.cfg and set the form window title by using SET_WINDOW_PROPERTY(FORMS_MDI_WINDOW,TITLE,v_msg_string)?

Web form title is full of names

Hi
I just created a simple web form and as usual since I must use the title field now it's full of titles from imported user list to my CRM.
Why does it do this? This is absolutly lame.

Because you had a mall formed input and you put all your first names into the title coloumn instead of the first name coloumn and imported that in.
You will need to go into that and clear them all out and look to do a correct import as well to fix the CRM.

Title tag in Web Form autoresponse

Hi Guys
Client wants to address each person in their web form autoresponse as Dear Mr Brown.
Tags for autoresponse include firstname, lastname and full name but no title?
Is it possible to do this? If so, what is the tag please.

Hi there,
There is no tag for the title. You can only use those tags which are present inside the Tag Insert dropdown.

Can't get php and web form to function properly

Hello,
I have a html web form and a php code that works fine in my older website.
i just updated my site and need to transfer the code for the html form into a newly designed page.
I copied and pasted the form into the new page. The form come up and works properly except that it doesn't send the form to my email address.
Everything appears to be the same as my old page but obviously i don't have them linked properly. i've attached the code to both html files. thanks for any help. Owen

Is Minimal OPTIN no longer working in Web Forms ?

I cant seem to get the code to auto optin
I created a web form, which includes the newsletter checkbox for a newsletter email list. I hide that, and make sure it is checked, as we *** add &OPTIN=TRUE
Now the inline editor changes it to &OPTIN=TRUE and maybe that is my problem - no idea.

The problem is that, the subsrcibee does not get the optin email, which is good, but he is not subscribed either.

so I added &OPTIN=TRUE to catwebformform45938
so I had this catwebformform45938&OPTIN=TRUE
Which actually did subscribe them to the newsletter
However, they still got -
a) The landing page after subscription now shows
Campaign Newsletter Subscriptions
[Newsletter] - requires you to verify your subscription.
b) The email received now has the link in it.
I tried also adding it back to where I had it before, but then it went back to not being subscribed.
How can I get the landing page and email to understand they are subscribed and dont need reminder or the link.

Value field in web form

Hi
I want to put a default value in a web form feild but when a user clicks the form field the value disappears to allow them to input their text.
How is this done? I tried adding value="text" but this make the value permanent and has to be deleted by the user before they can fill in the field.
Anyone got any ideas?

First ever Web Form - URL error

Hi. I'm attempting to call my first Web form, but I'm getting this error:
URL:

ERROR:
500 Internal Server Error
Forms Servlet Error.
Missing or invalid value for baseHTML parameter.
Please check the servlet configuration to make sure this value specifies a valid file.

Adding Controls dynamically in the Infopath/Web form with dynamic controls

Hello,
The client requirement is to create SharePoint solution for the below image. A web form/Info-path form will be created where user can enter the details and data will be submitted. I am looking for a solution to implement the requirements in SharePoint .
if not possible then using customizations and SQL server.
User can enter the Title , Overview in the form , which we can make Single line and multiple line of Text. The problem is with third , fourth and fifth fields.
1) In third field , i.e. Qualification Summary , User can add/delete , dynamic text boxes..This can be achieved I think using repeating tables/sections in Infopath...How data will be saved in SharePoint columns as it is not fixed that how many
columns user can enter , how columns(static) will be created in the list ??
2) For fourth field , user will select one or many Project description title n descriptions which are there in the system..User will not write anything just select..But how many project descriptions they can select , again its not fixed..How
we can manage it in SharePoint List OR any custom solution ?
3) For fifth field , user will select one or many Awards which are there in the system.User will not write anything just select..But how many awards they can select , again its not fixed..How we can manage it in SharePoint List OR any custom

secondary data connection is only for one list so you can get data from only single list by creating list connection. Later you can drag & drop that connection as repeating table or bind with any control so display in form. If you have mulitiple list
then you may use lookup column or would need to create two seperate data connection.

multi selection listbox is helpful if requirement is select multiple records or filter records. You can almost achieve most of the requirement but still depends on business need. Ofcource some limitation is also there.

SharePoint 2007 custom (VS 2008) solution is upgraded to SharePoint 2013 using (VS 2012). I followed this approach.

Hi Ashok,
According to your description, my understanding is that you got an error after you re-built a SharePoint 2007 solution with VS2012, and deployed it.
Make sure the Namespace and Type Name are consistent across all files where indicated. Also with matching case sensitivity. Verify web.config file and assembly in GAC or virtual directory bin folder in post deployment.

WPC - Custom Web Form - Cannot render container

Hello!
I've created custom web form for WPC (wpc_utg_sitelink) and gone through customizing provided in
[http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/index?rid=/library/uuid/2041eb17-6001-2b10-b08d-b95ce55fa9b7&overridelayout=true]
It looks fine at designtime.
In runtime i get following:
Cannot render container : Could not load stylesheet.com.sap.engine.lib.xml.util.
NestedException: Error parsing query. -> java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException
are there errors in my wpc_utg_sitelink.xsl file syntax?

As you can see the FirsName and LastName have been added. I do still get the same error that I need to insert the form again. What am I missing here?

WPC - Custom Web Form: DOMException: Root Element is already present

Hi experts,
I'm trying to create a custom web form for my companies portal and I'm facing the following problem:
I can create create articles with my new webform and everything is fine, but when the XSL Transformation is happing (eg. for viewing the content) i got following exception:
Cannot render container : com.sap.engine.lib.xml.util.NestedException: org.w3c.dom.DOMException: Root Element is already present, cannot be appended as a child. -> org.w3c.dom.DOMException: Root Element is already present, cannot be appended as a child.
I don't understand of which root element the parser is talking. Unfortunately I can't find any additional info to this.

I found a solution for this.
It seems that all of the XSL Transformation has to be covered by a div tag with css classes featurebox clearfixleft.

Email web form

so i am trying to make a web form with 3 text entrys options

and i also want this web form to send to my email
but no matter how many youtube tutorials i have followed it never seems to work i have been spending hours entering in many codes and every time it has failed and i am getting more and more frustrated
