Title of the mail attachment send through spool request

Hi Gurus,
I am struck again. I am sending a document that is present in spool to a e-mail address using print with change parameters.
Now i provide device as MAIL-PRINTER and then my e-mail adress. the document when arrives in my inbox has an attachment, that is the invoice which i have sent but the title of the attachment for all documents i send is print data.pdf. I want to know how can i change this default value?
Also where can i find that wether my program uses one of the function modules defined to convert OTF to PDF.

Check what's the content of spool title field
is it same as what you are getting as title of attachemnt.Then you can change spool title details.

How to set dynamic name of the mail attachment according to source file ?

Hi,gurus:
Our scenario is like below:
Sending files from an FTP server to another FTP server without using the integraiton repositary,and the file name is not changed .Now, we want to also send the file to some with by mail adapter.The scenario now works by using two business services in receiver determination.But the name of the attachment is "untitled.xml".We know how to set the file name staticly,but how to set the name dynamicly according to the source file name ?
I have checked miachel's blog "XI: Dynamic name in the mail attachment - pseudo "variable substitution"(/people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2006/02/23/xi-dynamic-name-in-the-mail-attachment--pseudo-variable-substitution),but how can I get the source file name?
And another question:Must we restart the adapter or j2ee engine to make the user defined module work?

Hotmail Account in Mail OS X duplicate the mails you send

Hi!
My Hotmail account in Mail (Version 8.1) of OS X Yosemite (10.10.1) sends duplicated mails everytime.
This is very annoying because people receive my mails two times!
I 've tried to eliminate and reconfigure the account again but it wasn't solve. I try to eliminate the sending messages from server but it doesn't work too!
Why is this happening? Any solution?

I believe I found the resolution to this. Under Mail - Preferences, the outgoing mail server (SMTP) must be set for each individual account. Mine was originally all set under one, making all messages send from the same address. I had to re-enter my password in the settings for some of my accounts since there was login issues, but all in all it seems to be working.

Call Apple for support. They have account security who can reset those security questions for you if you can verify the account over the phone... Once your security questions are reset you can go to appleid.apple.com and manage your account there! good luck!

reinstalled 10.6.3 and now several days later the mail buttons 'send' 'reply' 'reply all' are frozen (not greyed out, just completely unresponsive). also every other keystroke or so in the body of the email returns an alert bleep (but the charactor seems to be entered without a problem). i can recieve mail and all the "connection status" checks in Mail Connection Doctor return posative connections. so far i tried removing the com.apple.mail.plist permissions from my library and then repairing permissions with disk utility, as well as running applejack. no luck. any suggestions?

Need to get the Mail attachment name as it is to the receiver file adapter

I am doing a Mail to File scenario. I need to get the attachment from the mail and store it on the file server. I am using the PayloadSwap bean in the sender mail adapter. My requirement is to carry forward the attachement name as it is to the receiver file adapter side and store the file with the same name.
Did any one try doing this? I was looking at developing an adapter module but got struck as I could not find whether the attachement name is stored in the XI payload after it has got swapped using the swap bean.
Any help would be appreciated.

I was configured my mail id in ipad whether i have open the mail the mail attachment like XLS files does not open and i have already download the payable Application Excell After that also it doesnot opening.either i have open then i cant save

Having the same problem. Click mail, it bounces, a quick flash, then nothing. Also as a side note, Entourage as of this morning will no longer send mail to either of my work accounts, that is why I was trying mail. Also tried several other mail programs and the same result, can receive mails, but not send.
Have reset the router, cable modem, checked that I have the latest MS and Apple software loaded and it is all good. Very strange.

Smtp log entry, bounces, or does the mail server send bounce backscatter?

Today, I received two bounces from mail I did not send, and they reference a subdomain of a virtual domain on my machine that doesn't exist...
server is set up with domain: server.domain.com
web and mail services are available for virtual domain: service.com
So, I got what I at first thought were phishing bounces, but then when I looked in my mail logs today, I found my first ever SMTP log entries:

I have four of those at various times this morning.
I've checked the mail logs and seen that there are connection attempts, particularly people trying plain text. I have used mxtoolbox and a few other relay checkers to be sure there is not an open smtp relay. none.
I have one site on the service.com and it has its own malware checking (wordpress install). It reports that it is clean and feeling good.
The default sites are unaccessible without http authentication.
Do those SMTP log entires mean someone has gained access? or was my server trying to process backscatter spam? I'm lost on how this could happen.

What do the bounce messages say? Was the mail rejected by a remote server? If so, which one? What are some of the other log entries in the mail log? Does MX Toolbox say your email server is or is not an open relay? Are the IP addresses in your log post an internal or external address? Someone might be using your domain to send spam email but they may not be using your email server and when the messages bounce they get returned to your server.

How to populate the page number to a Spool request

Try this make a note of the spool request number and goto SE38 and give the program name as RSTXPDFT4 and execute(F8) will ask you for spool number give the spool number and execute. will ask you to give the location give and save.
Check whether the form is generated into PDF or not if it is generated then there might be problem in your code.

I have the following question: Is it possible to track/audit which user ID is accessing/opening the "type" of a spool request?
I thought it would be a rspo parameter but I haven't found anything related. If it is not possible then the only thing that can be tracked is who is running tcod SP01?

I have to give it to you that a user with the correct authorizations and no additional access (highly unlikely) will experience almost identical system behaviour in the transactions SP01 and SP02.
- 3 differences are that the screens and PAI (Process After Input) modules are different, so there are more menu options in SP01 even although the program is the exact same one.
- You can display an overview of spool locks, so if you could provoke an entry in the overview to appear then other S_SPO_ACT actions could be used on them (e.g. redirect to a local printer).
- The SU24 proposals will tempt many folks into granting much more than just SPAR admi action. This also plays a role in the choice of transaction, and I often create "dummy" transactions for the identical programs or ones which do nothing to achieve the same.
We can write a PhD about this.... but perhaps if you explain why you want SP01 with enhanced options in the stead of SP02 then it will be clearer, despite all urban legends being in your disfavour..

I know how to send email from sap with attachment in it. A smartform is coverted to a attachment and send on email.
But how can i apply password protection on it.
Any type of file format will be fine. I just need to know how can i make that file as password protected.

Not folder but file (I do hope you understand the difference). Have you tried to search SDN at all? I don't have much time, but before replying initially I did just a quick search and it brought several posts mentioning the archiving functionality. And I'm sure 'Smartform to PDF' will bring up gozillion posts. Also I find the Google search with addition 'site:sap.com' to be quite helpful.
However, I would still recommend to review the requirements. Why exactly do you need this password protection? If there is a fear that someone other than a recipient might get access to the email account then there is really a bigger security issue in the organization and it should be resolved by some other means. As I have mentioned, password does not really add much protection.
Out of curiosity I briefly looked at the IRM description on the Microsoft's web site and it doesn't seem to be very helpful. First of all, it's the MS software and has to be installed on the user's PC and configured (how do we know the emai recipients are even on Windows?). Also it does say "Prevent an unauthorized recipient from accessing e-mail content", but I didn't quite get how exactly. Is there a retinal scan that comes with it? And the list of things it does not do gives you the whole another perspective on the email security.

Issue while opening Excel attachment send through FM

I had program in which i am sending mail along with Excel attachment using FM SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1. Mail is going fine with data in Excel attachment. But when i try to open the Excel it gives an Info message saying that "<b>You are trying to open (attachment name),is in different format than specified file extension Verify that file is not corrupted and is from a trusted source before opening file. Do you want to open file now</b>". Then when i presses YES, Excel opens up with all data. I want to know how to avoid that info popup. Is there something has to be passed to FM or something has to be done to Excel like settings in EXCEL so that i can avoid that Info message coming.
Document type of attachment is gw_packing_list-doc_type = 'XLS'.

How to increase the mail attachement length from 255 chanracters ?

Dear All ,
I am sending a mail to my vendor as attachement .
I have developed one report which caontain 90 coulums now i am taking my final
internal table and sending it as a Mail but not able to send whole as an attachement Bcoz tht 90 columns
length is more than 255 characters which my OBJBIN not allowed to send so its automatically get truncated ..
How to solve this problem . Please help or sample code for this issue .

Configuring the mail adapter Sender

Hi Guys, hope you are fine.
I have a doubt: is it possible to configure, how many emails the sender mail adapter takes per polling?
I have an inbox with more than 300 emails and I have a sender mail adapter configured with a 10 minutes pooling and I need to limit the number of messages or, just to have an ideia about the number of messages it takes. Does it depends of the machine or something like that?
Any kind of help is welcome... =)

Hi Luciana,
Please refer to the FetchLimit option, described in SAP Help for sender mail adapter, it matches your requirement perfectly:
IMail.FetchLimit
You can set this additional parameter to restrict the number of mails fetched by sender mail adapter in one polling interval.
Sometimes the mailbox configured for the sender mail adapter contains large number of unread mails, which exceeds the average expected number of mails in one polling interval. In such a case, processing of all the unread mails in the same polling interval by sender mail adapter degrades the system performance. To avoid this, set value of this parameter to the maximum number of mails to be fetched and processed in one polling interval. The remaining mails exceeding the limit would be processed in the next polling interval.
