Title trouble - did I lose my favourites with 08?

Seems like the 08 imovie has a very limited title menu. I like to have a black screen with text in between the video clips, but I can´t find the function anymore. Or is it still there somewhere? I also miss the typewriter style. Is that one gone too?

I'm wondering the same thing... I had over 1000+ photos and videos on my camera roll as well as my photo stream and now neither are there. Instead it's showing me 100 "recently added" photos that were just taken within the past month. I had photos and videos from the past 2 years and I really would like them back...

Because ipod touch will sycn with one computer at a time. Syncing to another wil erase the current content.

The way I moved from 10.3.9 to 10.5.8 was to use "ditto -rsrc" and copy the user homes and the data share to an external firewire drive. Then did the same in reverse.
I found the key to data and share permissions to make sure that the users had the same UID in Leopard that they had in Panther.
You can then use "sudo rm -rf" to remove any folder from the relocated homes that you want. Remember if you do choose to remove "~/Library" from each users relocated home, you will be removing any iCal calendars, login.keychains, browser bookmarks, custom screensavers and wallpapers, etc.
Users don't really care if they can login and do any work. But there will be much wailing, gnashing of the teeth, and anxiety, if they lose their bookmarks and wallpaper.

Why did I lose all of my contacts when I installed 5.1.1 version on my iphone 4? I did back-up and got everything else back except the contacts???

What address book or cloud service were you syncing your contacts with before the update? They should still be there.
Contact information is only part of the backup in order to maintain your favorites and recent calls list. Contacts are meant to be synced to a cloud service or address book.

Did I lose my purchased music?

My hard drive crashed completely .... I had not transfered all of my purchased music onto it - did I lose it? My account lists all of my purchases so Apple knows what I have bought....

It depends on what you mean by " had not transfered all of my purchased music onto it ". If by that you mean that you had not completed downloading all the tracks from the iTunes Music Store, you can go to the Check for Purchased Music command under the iTunes Advanced menu and see if the remaining tracks are still there for download.
As to any tracks you already downloaded to your computer prior to the crash, sorry, but officially Apple does not allow redownloads of purchased tracks. It's your responsibility to make backup copies in case something goes wrong with your system, as unfortunately it apparently did in your case, and you lose all the information on your hard drive. If you haven't made a backup, you're probably out of luck and will need to repurchase your tracks.
If you indeed do not have a backup of previously purchased tracks somewhere - on CDs, on an iPod, on another hard drive, or whatever - you can try contacting iTunes Music Store Customer Service and explaining what happened. Reportedly in some cases Apple has allowed redownloading on a one-time basis, but don't count on it.

Yes... It shows up as being on my iphone when I have it connected to iTunes, but if I try to call it up on the Music folder of my iphone, there's nothing there. Very frustrating... I don't know what to do. I would hate to have to re-format my iphone, but it's looking like that might be the only answer at this point.

HELP - Did I lose everything????

Help! My Mac froze up while opening an email from a friend (just opening an email, not an attachment). I tried re-starting several times and completely shutting down, then restarting and I can't get back to my desktop!!!! It goes through the start-up screen (slow to get there) and then my screen goes completely blue and stays there. Every now and then I see a quick flash of my desktop.
I tried re-starting using Norton Anti-Virus and running a scan, it found nothing, and still didn't work afterwards.
Any suggestions? Did I lose all my files????

No, you want to use the install disk. Insert the CD & shut the computer off. Wait 10 seconds, turn it back on holding down the "C" key until you see the Apple screen. It will load from the CD and present you with the install screen which, depending on version, has Options somewhere on it. Click on this and navigate your way, reading each screen carefully, to Disk Repair. Run this and remove the CD; reboot. If your Mac now starts normally don't forget to run Repair Permissions from Disk Utility as well. In fact if your machine is getting more than a few month old you should download and run a "CRON" utility like Onyx, MacJanitor, or Cocktail which do a lot of routine maintenance for you.
Good luck & be sure to post back with results. And like Barry said it's VERY helpful to give more detail about your configuration - as much as possible in fact.
