Titles and Photo Quality - help please
I have created a movie for work in iMovie.
Exported to .DV [full quality] (i tried other formats but .DV gave me the best viewing quality - nearly perfect when viewing with QT Player).
I take this .DV file and load it into iDVD with another movie and form a menu with them. The DVD menu looks great (sharp). However when you play the 2 movies the quality of the video has degraded. How did i lose this quality going to iDVD?
Mostly, it is just my sub-titles that appear more fuzzy. I would like to be able to keep them as sharp and clean as possible for viewing on TV.
Does anyone know and can explain how to keep my sub-titles to as best quality as possible?
The movies are 3 minutes and 5 minutes. I used Professional Quality on iDVD.

There seems to be a problem when going from iM08 to iDVD. Work around is described as:
(not tested full out)
One must open the iMovie movie project with QuickTime (probably -pro)
Not really sure how - most probably exporting as full quality or if using
iMovie 1 - 6 open the project (ctrl-click and Show content of package)
Then when it is opened in QT show info and select the small box "full/high quality"
Next save and close.
Not tested this though I still stay in iM6 or FCE/P.
But this behaviour (or very similar) is described in this forum.
AND - try to do a DiskImage instead of burning away DVD discs. Cheaper.

N70 camera and photo quality help
I've just bought a Nokia N70 and I have a question that I hope somebody will answer. Is it normal for the photo to loose its quality, to become unclear after you take it and you zoom it? Usually after I take a photo, I go back to the phone gallery and it looks fine in the normal mode, i.e. 100%, but after I zoom it for example 25% or 50% it looks worse, unclear, a poor quality. Is it normal or is something wrong with my phone? Thanks in advance...
The N70 has quite a good camera on it (in good light).
Once you take the picture, the quality of it will not change. When you are taking the picture itself if you zoom in on a subject then the quality of the picture will decrease accordingly. The best quality can be obtained when the camera is not zoomed at all.
There are occasions that I have noticed in the gallery that the picture will look quite pixelated - the cure for this is either to wait for a few moments for the N70's processor to clarify the image or to quit the gallery and go back into it.
If you transfer an unzoomed image off to a PC the quality will be fine.

i have just bought a new laptop and have installed itunes onto it but i am worried that if i plug my iphone into it, that i will loose all my apps, contacts and photos!!

When you say installed iTunes I am guessing that its just the program and not your old library? in which case when you connect your iphone you will get a message warning you that you will be replacing the data on the iphone with the library on the new laptop i.e. an empty itunes.
If this is the case what you need to do is on your old laptop,
1: open itunes and go into preference/settings and go to advanced and make sure that consolidate and keep organised are checked.
2: Then go to file and click consolidate library.
3: close itunes and then go to start and open "My Music" folder.
4: Drag the iTunes folder out of My music and put it on an external drive or network the 2 laptops.
5: on the new laptop open "My Music" folder and drag out to the desk top the itunes folder
6: from the external drive or network drang and drop the old iTunes library into the "My Music" folder on the new laptop.
now close it and restart iTunes and your old library should be visable and when you connect your iphone it will identify its the correct library to sync with. -

The current version is Acrobat XI (not for XP or Vista). Adobe no longer sell Acrobat 9 or 10. So you would be buying in the "aftermarket". Which is fine, except that there are many fraudsters in there, doing things from selling versions that were upgraded (making you in violation of the license) to selling outright fakes, which often don't work at all, or stop when Adobe later blocks fraudulent serial numbers, or in the worst case also sneak malware onto the computer. So take great care selecting a seller. Beware of "too good to be true" prices, but the fraudsters are now wise to this too and may sell at a high price to seem legitimate.

I uploaded and had access to 1,500 images on my iPad 1, then added 6 images separately. Now I can locate the final 6 and 3 movies that were there before, but the 1,500 do not show in Albums, Events or Photos. Help please.
I clicked Revert and then tried selecting the folder again, but Sync is not an option. I also see there was a backup done at 4 PM today, but I don't know how to make use of it. I am a Mac user but new to iPad and am finding it a challenge. sigh

All of my playlists made on my Ipod touch 3rd gen keep disappearing when I sync it to itunes. Drivng me crazy. All software up to date on both itunes and Ipod. Help please.
I tend to make my playlists right on my ipod. This did not happen for the last 2 years. Just started recently. Did get a new computer recently.That is because you got a new computer. You can only sync all media from one syncing computer. You can sync from any computer to iPod using the manual method but that does not sync from iPod to computer.

This should not happen if you have the output volume in System Prefs/Sound set low. Have you tried setting the ITunes player volume at top left a bit lower?

Ok so I'm trying to update my iPad, and it keeps "timing out." I got to the actual update process, and it failed and asked me to restore my iPad, but I just can't lose all of my apps and photos! I payed for a lot of my apps, and my photos are just too important. Someone please help!
If rhe apps and photos are that important you made sure that you took the steps in order to keep them safe in an event like this didn't you?
You did backup the iPad before you decided to update the iPad correct?
And you did transfer all of your apps and other purchases into iTunes before you decided to update correct?
If you did, just restore the iPad and then restore from the backup at the end of fhe process and follow that with a sync with iTunes and you will lose nothing,
Now if you didn't do any of the precautionary steps .... -
Could someone help me restore my photos? I was trying to "restore my database" in iPhoto when it shut down - now my thumbnails are distorted, logged under a new name, and when you click on a thumbnail it opens as another photo. I was following another "helpful hint" hold down the option and command key and restart iPhoto - select the top three and you should be able to get rid of the dreaded exclamation point. My MAC ran through the first two options dealing with thumbnails, but crashed during the "restore database" step and now I have a mess. Help, please. Thank you.

ITunes does only sync photo's but not music and video. Help please
I have loaded ios5 on both my iPad and my iPhone4. For about a week, all worked fine and i restored my music, video's and photo's. However since about a week, music and viceo's are removed from the iPhone. That was after the change from summer- to winter-time. And iTunes does not want to sync them back to the phone. On my iPad all is still there. I looked at my settings and the only difference between the iPad and the iPhone is that on the iPhone i see a switch for iTunes Match, but that does not work in my country yet. When i look in the left column of iTunes i see my music marked under the musicdirectory of my iPhone, but with a sych mark. ( the little circle). So i can add and remove photo's, but not music or video items. Has anyone an idea what to do?
By the way, all my other stuff(agenda, notes etc.) are synched thru iCloud.Are you viewing on 'Videos' or did you find it in your music list?

I moved all my photos from iphoto to an external hard drive, but I am still getting the "low space message" when I try to upload more photos to iphoto.
How do I free up the disk space in iphoto?
I currently have 642.1 MB of free space, but I thought that once I moved all my photos out of iphoto, that it would free up a bunch of space.
Help please!Have you told iPhoto about the new location? If you haven't then iPhoto is ignoring it and continuing to use the original one. If you have completely transferred the library to the external hdd then you can delete the one on your internal one, but make sure that the one on your external drive is complete and has the iPhoto library icon on it. Whatever you do, don't lose your photos!

Browser cuts off half of table and contents? Help please.
Hi,
When viewing the page using some versions of IE7, the area
where the Virtual tour viewer is and anything within the same table
is cut in half ! I never even noticed it as I test on a laptop and
desktop, both running IE7 and Firefox and there were no problems.
Got 3 emails of totally different people asking where the other
half of the page is, plus a friends browser does it also.

The virtual tour viewer in the iframe, thumbnails and links
are in the first big table. This gets cut in half approx after the
text for each thumbnail so anything to the right is just white. No
flash/quicktime logos and only half the viewer shows. It still
works though loading the default panorama!
The big table below holding regular still images with the
black background displays correctly. Very strange.
Does any one else only see half the table or know what may be
causing it to happen? The most obvious thing would be the iframe
but this has happed with some of the other pages also and they have
no iframes on them.

What i would suggest doing is this,
- go to the page/photo on face book where you are trying to print/save from
- right click on the Photo and ""Save As"", now i would recommend saving them in the " My Pictures" from within the "My Documents" folder
-Once saved, go ahead and open them up (Pictures) from within the Folder and not the website, unfortunately, it sounds like the web site is not allowing the full command/picture to be sent through, but being a 3rd party Site We cannot be sure..
-that is what i would advised to get those to Print Fully and to your Expectations
