Titles don't scroll across screen anymore

On my new 30 GB iPod, the song titles scrolled across screen during playback but after I did a restore they now only appear static and are truncated if to long for the display screen. I rstored because I mistakenly thought there was a problem with the iPod when I tried to use it attached to my work computer - firewall issues. I can't find a configuration to enable that "feature"...

I'd like to see this change as well.. I sent in a request through the iPhone feedback form.
I understand the difficulty in trying to implement this though.. since track selection is a one step process on the iPhone (tap) versus a two step process on the iPod (wheel-select then exectute), you'd have to have all the long titles scrolling at the same time, which would look rather chaotic.
Maybe it could be done on the iPhone by having the title scroll if you tap-hold on the title.

probably your zoom is on. try double tapping with three fingers on your screen, it should go back to normal and then goto
settings>general>accesibility>zoom and disable it

Images scrolling across screen gradually increasing in speed?

I have a photo mosaic and i have each individual image used to make it up.

Seems like imovie can't do anything...just want some images scrolling across the screen.

I phone 4 has changed settings to require double clicking to open applications and cannot scroll the screen anymore.

I now have to highlight an item and then double click on it for it to open. It's impossible to try typing anything.
I cannot scroll the screen either, so when I open the settings app, I cannot access anything beyond the item (brightness & wallpaper) at the bottom of the screen. The phone also now reads out what I'm highlighting and other times like when the screen dims or closes (it tells me that the screen is dimming or closing.)

My suggestion would be to do the following:
-Press and hold the power button and home button for the time needed until the screen turns black and the apple logo reappears.
If that does not work, call the nearest Apple store and ask for assistance.

Time scrolls across the screen each minute

does iPhone have an active notification feature where the time scrolls across the screen each minute? Or is there an app that does this?
I saw a Motorola smartphone yesterday that had this feature. It would be fabulous !!!!!!

TThe feature I saw didn't require touching the phone, the time automatically scrolled across just for a few seconds, each minute.
FAbulius for for a massage therapist who uses her hands to work on clients but wants to know the time.
are you suggesting that if I unlock my phone, I can see the time on my phone without touching the phone? Is this constant and therefore a drain on my battery? Then too my phone isn't locked.

Tried pinching.... the only thing that happened was it brought up the Launch Pad. ??
Also tried double-clicking-- nothing happened.
I tried both these suggestions with new mail and old saved mail. Nothing happened....

Also regarding Klaus' comment: The text is too big, too wide-spread to all appear when I enlarge the window to the max. Somehow the text must be "shrunk" to fit within the window.

The problem is your "Products" dropdown width. Anyways if you add overflow:hidden, it will fix the problem.

MBP with new updated Leopard Snow does not wake Screen anymore!

My MBP15 (end 2008) connected to 24" Cinema Display with camera used to work perfectly well. When the laptop is in sleep, I would connect the laptop (screen down) to the display via the mini display cable, I would then wake up the MBP thorough either the Bluetooth Mouse of the wired keyboard. The computer would wake up and the display will work fine.
I updated my system a week ago- I now have an updated 10.6.2. When I do the same above, and try to wake up the computer up, it would wake up (no longer with the hard-disk noise it used to do- which is great), but the screen would not be recognized and would not turn on. I tried everything... including disconnecting the display cable and putting it on again.. Nothing would work except a 2-second click on the power button of the MBP and a restart.
This is annoying, and it is disappointing that new updates actually make things that used to work perfectly well don't work anymore!

Yup, me too on my 2011 Macbook Pro (Snow Leopard). It starts waking and the white progress bar gets half-way across screen, but then it just repeatedly beeps until I force it to turn off. Was worried it was related to SSD but you have same problem with regulard hard disk.

Can't lock the screen anymore with a password

I can't lock the screen anymore since I installed Mavericks. I have assigned a password to the screensaver in the system preferences, but when I activate the screensaver on my iMac 8,1 it does not ask for the password when I wake it up from sleep. I have checked the option in the security preferences that the Mac should ask for a password immediately.
Any idea how the enable the password?

Okay, the problem is solved. I don't really know how - I just restarted the mac several times and now it works.

Ipad will not scroll across in iTunes

I am totally new to dealing with an iPad, and am trying to fix my boss' which is a mess.
We are trying to change stores in iTunes to US which in regular online computer iTunes store is down at the bottom right corner of the iTunes strore.
But on the iPad we cannot scroll across to see anything (including all the other music which you are supposed to swipe across to see to your right).
You can see there are numerous choices to the right but you cannot make the iPad scroll over.
I see nothing in Settings that sets the scrolling abilities.
Can someone please help or advise?

When I scroll down and view my AppleID (which I was already logged in) it makes me login again, I do and it says I can't access the iTunes store and that I can only do that in the Portugeuse store, then it wants to redirect me to that store.
Apparently someone set up this Apple ID to only work for Portugal, which is driving us crazy. I cam easily create her another AID to work in the US, but I don't know if this will then conflict with her iCloud storage, which is the "portuguese" one (LOL!)
She has numerous devices (2 iPhones, 1 Airbook, 1 iPad) all in a big mess of a jumble. I'm hoping to make these be able to sync contacts, photos, calendar, music, etc.
Her email is gmail so I can use IMAP for that.
I am now able to swipe across the store - thanks!
Is there a setting in iPad that controls how your scroll/swipe sensitivity to touch is? or is it standard. It seems pretty sensitve (if you accidently touch anything you launch it, etc)

Can't share a friend's screen anymore - any ideas?

I'm trying to help a friend with his iMac, but we can't seem to share screens anymore.
We are both using late 2009 iMacs. I am running Mountain Lion and he is still running Lion. So I am running iMessages and he is running iChat.
If I select his name in the AIM Buddy List and request to share his screen he gets the invitation and accepts it.
Afterwards, we are sharing audio, but I never see his screen. I've tried this over and over and the same thing happens.
He can share his screen with me with Skype, but of course there I can't control his computer so it's not as helpful.
Things I checked after reading about similar issues:
1. I made sure that neither of us have anything like screenagent or anything with "screen" in it running as a process in the Activity Monitor.
2. I don't think it's applicable, since we are not on the same local network, but I also made sure we both had screen sharing checked on in Sharing. But that didn't help either.
Any idea how we can do screen sharing again?
I'm on fiber optic and he's just on DSL, but we ran speedtest on his computer and he's getting about 3 Mbps download and 1 Mbps upload, which should be sufficient for this.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

What you have on your computer is your iTunes library, not your "account." The "account" you have for iTunes is your Apple ID, which you use when purchasing or downloading from the iTunes Store. If these songs came from music CDs that you imported into iTunes, those songs are not related to your Apple ID.

How are they not "recognized"? Are the songs still listed in your iTunes music library, but grayed out? They no longer appear in your iTunes library at all?
If you search your computer (not in iTunes) for the song files, using one of the song names, can you find the song files?

It is a 2010 macbook pro but i recentrly updated to osx lion and even with lion it was working fine so I nkow it is not the update. also Im able to connect to other internets at home it works great. starbucks too. but i became so frustated that i reset my computer to manufactuter setting and reinstall snow leopard on it. still I cant connect. Be sure Safari does not have the Block Pop-Up Windows preference set.
Where I work now there are several unencrypted VLANs that require authentication, and Safari promptly pops up a window for me to register every time.

You cannot update iPhone 4 to IOS 8.1.2, the highest you can update is IOS 7.1.2.
Unless you've iPhone 4S (looks similar to iPhone 4)
