Tkds30xx drivers for labview 5

Hey,..hi!
I'm working in a project  and i'm using labview 5 to control a tds3014b scope, i download the ivi drivers from ni site but they are for labview 7.1, i don't have a way to upgrade the labview, when i tray to open the tkds30xx.llb to browse the subvis inside it i got an error 8 of labview (labview can't open the resource), is it a way to convert the ivi drivers to make them comptible with this older version of labview, or someone there got them and can send them to me?,....please,..help me,....and thanks for any help,.....
my email is :               [email protected]

IVI drivers can be used only in LabVIEW 5.1 and above. Attached is the LabVIEW 5.1 version of the tkds30xx IVI driver. This version does NOT contain the recent driver updates and bug fixes and it is not supported by National Instruments.

hi, can someone help me how can i connected my multimeter to my pc with rs232, because my computer can´t recognize the device, i mean the multimeter, is a multimeter keithley serie 2400, and i already downloaded all the drivers for labview even the VISA

    Marco,
    Here are some suggestions:
    1) Check the manual the Keithley manual to see how to configure the RS-232.
On some models you need set Factory defaults to USER and turn on the RS-232.
Also there may be a setting for SCPI which you want on (probably on by default).
    2) On your PC - open Device Manager. See if a COM port exists and is functional.
You must get this working before continuing.
You can set the COM port parameters by right clicking and selecting Properties.
(On some PCs the onboard ports can be disabled in the BIOS)
    3) If step two was OK, open MAX (Measurement and Automation eXplorer).
On the left side, click on Devices and Hardware.
        Click on Serial and Parallel.
Go to the COM port you found in Device Manager.
        Open a VISA Test Panel.
Now I don't have one I can look at right now, so this is general idea:
Configure the COM port to match the Keithley settings (should be OK if step 2 worked)
Go to the (I think) Input Output tab (you want to send a command)
The command string input should already have a *IDN? entered, if not, type it in.
Click on the Query button to send the command and check the response.
If you get an ID string back (Company name, Model, FW Version ...) then it works.
(Disregard an error saying it did not get enough charcters back.)
    I hope this helps,

  • Where to find the drivers for Labview 6.1 or 6.x

I use LabView 6.1 in our labs and due to that we have many old LV programs written on 6.x I can not use newer versions of LV.
But when I try to find the instrument drivers (Agilent 33250A arbitrary waveform generator) the only available drivers are for LV 8.x or 7.x.
So my question is where do I find the instrument old drivers for LabView 6.x?
    Thanks a lot,
    Al.

For existing drivers (not recently developed), you can send an e-mail to [email protected] and request LV6.x drivers.

  • Where do I get HP8753ES drivers for Labview 8.2?

    Hello,
I am in the process of updating some Labview code to 8.2. Where do I find drivers for the HP8753ES that is compatable with Labview 8.2? I looked at the NI website and the drivers listed are for Labview 8.0, will they work with Labview 8.2? There are also "project style" of drivers, is there a difference?

I don't know why you think you 'have' to use the plug&play driver instead of the project style but there is no subVI called HP8753 Collect Data and none of the VIs in the driver call a function called HP8753 Collect Data. There is a subVI called HP8753 Collect and Display Data. What exactly are you doing that you cannot find a subVI? Do you have the driver functions on your palette? Where exactly did you place the unzipped folder. If you have done the installation correctly, you will have a palette just like the one below and there is no need to search for anything. They will just be there.

  • Newport Conex-CC drivers for LabVIEW 2009

    Dear all;
I am using LabVIEW 2009 on Windows 7. I need the drivers for the Newport Conex-CC controller. They are available in the web site http://www.newport.com/CONEX-CC-DC-Servo-Controller-Actuators/934114/1033/info.aspx#tab_Literature , but the version is LabVIEW 2010, so I can`t open them.
Please, could anybody open the .vi's, save them as LabVIEW 2009 or older, and attach them to a reply message?
    Thank you.
    Javier

Please post the VIs to the Version Conversion board. The link is at the top of the LabVIEW board.

  • Are drivers for LabView 5.1 only supported by the later models, 6.x and 7.x?

Thanks in advance for your help.

I'm confused by your question. Are you talking about hardware drivers (NI-DQ, NI-GPIB) or instrument drivers? You should be able to use current hardware drivers with older version of LabVIEW and you can (in most cases) use older hardware drivers with new versions of LabVIEW. For instrument drivers, NI only maintains LabVIEW 6 and 7 versions on it's Instrument Driver Network but I'm pretty sure maintains an archive of older versions if they exist. If you have a specific instrument driver that you need, make a request on this forum. NI might be able to provide an older version or someone can save it to a previous version. One or two probably won't be a problem but numerous requests might be a little out of line. At some point, you might want to consider a
n upgrade. There have been numerous improvements since 5.1 and upgrading is usually not a major problem.

  • Where I can find documentation and updated drivers for Labview 3.1.1?

I'm running LabView 3.1.1 on a PowerMac 7600 and I have run into some difficulties geting it to work properly. The documentation has been lost and I cannot find it online anywhere. Any help with this and updated drivers would be greatly appreciated.

I have LV manuals going back to version 1. I still have a couple of systems operating in version 3 so I will not give up my manuals, but I may be able to help in some way. They are a set of eight books totalling about 6 inches thick. Is there something specific I may be able to help with?
A recent posting on this forum was from a museum of old computers and early LV systems. They were looking for stuff older than yours. I don't know if they could help or not.

  • Why are there no advantech drivers for labview by ni ?

the advantech drivers do not integrate well in labview. The VIs provided by advantech are not direct equivalents and neither do they have the same features. I need some help on this.

    Hi PC
I am using an Advantech PCI-1713 card and I was just wandering how your program is going because I am having difficulty with mine and was wandering if you would like to help each other out.
I am trying to measure 16 channels using one of there sample VI, I think it must be the same as your Multi Channel Interrupt VI you described in your message.
I have a question, how do you get it to save more than one cycle because mine is only saving one cycle and I do not know how to fix it.
For example if I enter COUNT = 100 then it will only save 100 samples. How did you get your VI to continue saving samples???? I also am using Cyclic.
I am new to DAQ and would like any help if possible
I have attached the Vi and an example o
    f what I am getting.
    Cheers mate

  • Drivers for LabView Express 7.1

I'm trying to install Labview 7 Express (Student Edition) on Windows XP. It comes with 2 CDs - one labeled version 7.1 and one labeled version 7.0. When trying to install 7.1 I get a message asking for the driver CD, which wasn't included. I found info for version 7.0, and found the 7.0 driver cd download on the ftp site, but I can't find anything for 7.1. Are they the same? I can't seem to find the info I need in the knowledge base or elsewhere on the NI site.
What about 7.1.1 - does that use the same drivers as 7.1?
Thanks for any insight you can offer.

Drivers are completely seperate from and non-essential to LabVIEW. You can simply install them on an "as needed" basis if you like. LabVIEW versions 7.0 and 7.1 are independent releases of LabVIEW and should install just fine on their own. We do not ship one with the other, so if you seem to have both of them, then perhaps they got mixed together. In contrast, LabVIEW 7.1.1 is an upgrade (dependent on LabVIEW 7.1 being installed), but I would not install it unless you are experiencing one of the bugs that the upgrade fixes (check the release notes if you're curious what those are). For a first-time install, I would recommend simply installing LabVIEW 7.1, and when you get to the drivers section, simply exit out of the install. Then, depending on what hardware you will be using with LabVIEW, I would download the latest drivers from our website (which are often times newer than those shipped on CD) and install them individually.

  • SR 345 Drivers for LabVIEW

I am fairly new to LabVIEW and I'm trying to incorporate some of the SR 345
instrument drivers into a VI. I downloaded these instrument drivers from
the National Instruments webpage. Everytime I try to insert a driver into
my VI, I get an error message that says, "sdrs345_32.dll is not a 32 Bit
DLL." Also, when I try to run just the drivers, I cannot, as there is a problem
with the "Call Library Function," stating that "function not found in library."
Can someone with a little more LabVIEW experience get back to me and let
me know what all this means, and how it can be remedied. Thank you very much.

    M.
This set of drivers is based on a windows DLL. Looking at the name of the
DLL (sdrs345_32.dll) I get the impression that it S
HOULD be 32 bit DLL but
    that is never a certainty.
After looking at the NI download site, you need to make sure you have ver 5.5 of
the instrsup.dll, IVI engine v1.5 and VISA 2.0.1.

  • I have installed successfuly Nidaq692.exe and LV5Fra.exe drivers for LabVIEW AND PCI-6110 card

Unfortunately, I didn't find the data acquisition functions to acquire data from PCI-6110 through LabVIEW.
How can I do to find VI data acquisition in Labview.

Is the Data Acquisition palette completely missing? It may be that if you initially installed LabVIEW without NI-DAQ, that none of the VI's got installed. You may have to reinstall at least part of LabVIEW.
