Hi Doak,
Yes you need to create individual shipment document in Transportation chain.
For Example : when the trucks go from their respective shipping points to the harbor, the freight documents should not also contain main leg and subsequent leg information. When you create texts, you would not know if they are supposed to be valid for the preliminary, main or subsequent legs.
In order to avoid such limitations, we would recommend that you denote a transportation chain using multiple shipment documents. You can create these shipment documents almost automatically by using collective processing.
If you want depict a transportation chain within a shipment document, you must also accept the limited functions available to you.
The reason: Almost all shipment document functions refer to the document as a whole:
1.Outputs can only be printed for the entire document, not for individual legs
2.Handling units can only be created for the entire document, not for individual   legs
3. The same is valid for texts, deadlines in general, etc.
Hope this provides you some clarity.  Reward points if helpful.

  • Configuration steps for executing Shipment type  - "Transportation Chain"

    Hi Gurus,
I have done the setup for Individual shipment for Truck type. Now the requirement is i need to carry out the configurations to map the transportation using Tuck , Ship and rail . The sequence is as below the customer belongs to US and the shipping point is 1000 (DE) so i need to ship the goods till the German port through " Truck". There after it will go through "Ship" to US. Now again in US From port to nearest Railway station it is transported through "Rail" and then from railway station it is delivered to customer through the "Truck" . Now what are the additional setup i need to do for achieving Transportation Chain of the above type?
Suitable reply with the details will be rewarded.

  • Profiles created with SU02 and transporting them

We have a lot of profiles that were created with SU02.
When I change them in our Development system and then create a transport and move the transport to our quality system and our production system the changes do not get updated.
I manually go to each system with SU02 and make the changes again and activate them.
Is there another way or am I missing something.
    Thanks
    Joe

    Julius,
The TCD field isn't causing confusion.  Look to the left at that Z:MC40 or whatever.  That's the auth object, which has a field called TCD.  In other words, there isn't S_TCODE with field TCD, there's this Z:MC40 or whatever, with field TCD and the tcode in that filed is MC40 or whatever.
Anyway, if I go through my data for S_TCODE, then I find that in the profile, it refers to the following.  Note that these are the only two profiles in my UST10S table that refers to S_TCODE.  I need to figure out how to reconstruct the rest of the profiles into roles so that the unlimited access in these profiles below can be removed and the balance of the profiles can be given relevant transactions.
    X:TCODE        S_TCODE     &_SAP_ALL
    X:TCODE             S_TCODE     S_TCD_ALL
    X:TCODE             S_TCODE     S_TCD_ANW
    X:TCODE             S_TCODE     S_TCD_BC
    X:TCODE             S_TCODE     S_TCD_CUST
    X:TCODE:ALL     S_TCODE     &_SAP_ALL
    X:TCODE:ALL     S_TCODE     S_TCD_ALL

  • Creating XML file and transport to GIS (gentran integration suite)

    Hello Experts,
I have a requirement. I need to convert the data from an internal table to    XML Format file   , and send that XML file to
GIS application   [  gentran integration suite -   middleware applicationa ]
i need to save that file to  Unix-Filesystem and call an FTP transfer routine to GIS.
[   Purpose of   GIS  -->  Transforming data (using services) from different applications so that it can be communicated to other
systems.Moving and communicating data between different systems external to Gentran Integration Suite, using adapters. ]
    Please kindly reply me....
    Thanks

I do not think that you need to know more than the basics of Gentran, as you will have to upgrade PI, not Gentran.
Just check the Homepage of Gentran to find an overview about it:

or find more information with google.

  • Create Shipment Cost Document by interface without shipment

    Hi,
is there a possibility to create a shipment cost document by an interface from an external transportation planning system without having LE-TR shipments in the ERP system?
We would like to use the shipment cost document for the freight cost posting.
    Rgds,
    Ralf Weske

    Hi Ralf,
I dont think you can process Shipment cost Document, without creating a shipment in SAP.
If your External Transport system can provide you a report lets say in excel format then you can use "FB60" to create an invoice.
Problem here will be to compare the data sent by External transportor to actual. for this you can develop a report in SAP system based on your requirements to calculate frieght cost.
Once Excel file will be receivied from transporter you run the report in sap compare the data, if found inline process the invoice in FI with FB60
    I hope this makes sense.

  • DELIVERY AND TRANSPORTATION SCHEDULE

    HI
How we configured delivery and transportation's schedule in sap please explain configuration steps
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Reddy,
    Delivery Scheduling and Transportation Scheduling
Shipping activities and transportation can be scheduled automatically in sales documents.
Picking/packing and loading, transportation scheduling and transportation can be planned and optimized on the basis of the dates determined.
There are two different types of scheduling:
    Delivery scheduling
The SAP System takes into account the pick/pack time and loading time for a transaction.
You define the type of delivery scheduling for each shipping point.
    Transportation scheduling
The SAP System takes into account the transit time and the transportation scheduling time for a transaction.
You define the type of transportation scheduling on the basis of the route (see sections "Route definition" and "Route determination").
You define for each sales document type whether delivery scheduling and/or transportation scheduling should be carried out.
For the dates to be determined automatically on the basis of the requested delivery for an order item, you must define both the times and what influences the determination of the date.
You need to carry out the following:
Define for each sales document type whether scheduling is to be carried out and, if so, which type.
Define the indicators for scheduling for each shipping point.
    Define:
    Pick/pack times
    Please fallow below steps:
SPRO > Logistic Execution > Shipping > Basic Shipping Functions > Scheduling > Delivery Scheduling and Transportation Scheduling
STEP 1: Define Scheduling by Sales Document type
Here have to assign your Sales Document type to your Del and Transportation Scheduling if the system what to carry the Scdheduling Automatically.
STEP 2: Define Scheduling by Shipping Point
Here if you want to carry Determine Loading time  and Determine Pick/Pack time Just select the "C"- Default for Shipping Point and give respective Hours/Days here.
    STEP 3: Maintain Working Hours
Here can maintain shift like ( Morning, Afternoon Shifts etc., with respective Start and Finish time.
    STEP 4:
Here we can difine duration for Shipping point,Routes, Pick/Pack time and Loading time.
Hope this solves your Purpose. Please Reward Points if really helpful,
    Thanks and Regards,

  • How to create process variant in process chain

What is a process variant? i try to add Infocube compression to the fi process chain. To accomplish this task, i have to create process variant. please tell me the step by step process how to create process variant and successfully add the compression to the process chain. Can i do it directly in production? Thanks to SDN community that i can count on.

    Hi Rafi,
    <b>Process variants</b>
The process variant is the name of the process Within the process chain context, it displays the configuration of a process of a particular type set at the time of definition. A variant is only consistently defined together with the process type. A process can have various variants. With the load process for example, the name of the InfoPackage is the name of the process variant.
The user defines the process variant at the time when the process is scheduled. With some process types, the variants are determined internally and are stored as GUIDs.

You can create process chains directly in Production. Most of the times system allows(depends on system settings). But this is not a proper way of working. Create in Development and transport it to Production.

  • Do we need to create individual shipment document for Transportation Chain

Do we need to create individual shipment document in Transportation Chain if the forwarding agent is same for all shipment?
    For Example :
    first it takes truck,
             then ship,
then again truck to reach Customer.
in all above case forwading agent is same eg: DHL Service

    Hi Doak,
Yes you need to create individual shipment document in Transportation chain.

  • How the freight cost are transferred from condition type of shipment cost document to service entry sheet and collected in service PO item

    Dear Experts:
could you please share with me the knowledge for below topic:
How the freight cost are transferred from condition type of shipment cost document to service entry sheet and collected in service PO item, because these three objects use three different pricing procedures, and different condition type.
how did the condition type of service entry sheet know to copy the value of whcih condition type in the pricing procedure of shipment cost document?
Is this SAP standard function OR there need an enhancement to do that?
I didn’t find related condition value copy setting in background, could you please share related setting with me? Thank you very much for your kind help!
    Best regards,
    Andy

    Hi, Gopi,
Glad to see your feedback, but i still have question on your feedback:
which condition type in the pricing procedure of service entry sheet should know to capture the net value of shipment cost doc? becasue there are so many condition types,
And i have checked the corresponding condition type (PRSX) of service entry sheet pricing procedure in my SAP system, this is a self-defined condition type, but NO any calculation routine maintained for the condition type (PRSX), how did the condition type (PRSX) know to copy the total cost of shipment cost document?
Below is the example and another question:
what the relationship between the pricing procedures at service PO item level and service line item level?
    1. The freight cost in shipment cost document—including used condition type and pricing procedure
The pricing procedure of shipment cost document
    2. The freight cost in service entry sheet—including used condition type and pricing procedure
The pricing procedure of service entry sheet--the pricing procedure at service line item level
    3. The freight cost in service PO item—including used condition type and pricing procedure:

  • Auto Create Outbound Delivery and Shipment from IDoc

    Hi Ppl,
Currently, we have a transport company which handles all our transportation of goods to our customer.
We develop a project, phase 1 which we automatically sends sales order in form of IDocs to our transport company and they in turn we send us an excel file on how they have group those sales order into shipment using their own criteria of weight, destination, customer etc.
Now, on our phase 2 of the project, we want the transport company to send us this file in form or IDoc or acceptable file format and which will automatically create outbound deliveries and shipment on how they grouped it.
This should also be able to change deliveries or shipment if the sales order changes.
Please how do we go about this?
    Thanks all for your help.

    Hello,
As far as I know, you need to have a custom IDoc scenario for this. Here is what you can do.
    1. Create a custom IDoc Type to receive Orders.
    2. Create a Custom message Type & Custom Process code along with the Custom Posting Program (FM) for this requirement.
    3. Perform the validations & process the IDocs by using the WS_DELIVERY_UPDATE & WS_DELIVERY_UPDATE_2 for creating Deliveries & BAPI_SHIPMENT_CREATE FM to create the Shipments.
This being a custom scenario, you'd be required to do some custom development as well in order to meet up with your business needs.
    Hiope this was helpful.

  • How to collect and transport a hierrachy linked to an object ?

    Hi guru,
I am working in BI 7.0  and  linked a Hierarchy to oan object.
When I transported the object to production, the hierarchy is missing in production.
How to collect and transport this hierachy  ?
In case of a user-defined hierarchy, is it possible to transport it or  have I to re-create in prod ?
    Thanks for your support

    hi ,
Yes we can create hierarchy in production .
But if you have some kind of infrastructure build for data laod , that needs to be separately migrated.
The Info-object with the Hierarchy check in maintaineance window of info-object should be migrated to production  in order to naually maintain the hierarchy in Production
    Thanks

  • I created a form and I'm not sure how to make the 'submit' button send me the collected information.

Hello everybody. I am a web designer (NOT a developer)
I created a form and I'm not sure how to make the 'submit' button send me the collected information.
I have used phpform.org/ to custom build a submission form. Then I opened that html in dreamweaver (so that I could edit colors, fonts, and delete the phpform.org advetisement)
Now I need to link the 'submit button' so that it will e-mail me the completed form.
(formphp.org wants me to subscribe to a servie that I pay for in order to have the form e-mailed to myself.)
(after I get the submit button linked to an e-mail I will pull the html of my completed form into Muse- but I don't think that is really relevent)
I'm sure one of you can help point me in the right direction! I can't write my own code so detailed help is appreciated!

I'm afraid not.    It's not rocket science but you need to do some coding.
You'll need to find a script (php) and save it to your local site folder.  Then reference the script in your form's action attribute like so.
         <form action="path/form-to-email-script.php" >
The input fields in your HTML form need to exactly match the script variables.
I'm  assuming you're hosted on a Linux server which uses PHP code.  Linux servers are also case sensitive, so upper case names are not the same as lower case names.  It's usually best to use all lower case names in your form and script to avoid confusion.
