TMs no longer work after 3.0 upgrade

I have a 1-1/2 year old iPhone, the original one. I upgraded to 3.0 this morning.
My text messaging no longer works. Has anyone experienced this?

I too have the first gen iPhone. the problems we are having has to do with all the new iphone activation as of late, since the 3G is only $99 and the new 3GS is available. It will all get better. We wouldn't have this problem if the iPhone was availabe for all couriers. Hang in there.

HP OMEN Control Software No Longer Works After Windows 10 Upgrade

HP OMEN Control no longer works after the recent Windows 10 update. Profile switching, keyboard LED colors, zones, fn key options, etc. no longer respond at all. I just purchased a new 2015 refurbished PC. It worked great with Windows 8.1. Upon installing Windows 10, The Omen control did not work as well as the fan. Really - hardware failure. Give us a break. So, I went back to Windows 8.1. Also this year, I purchased an Envy X2. This PC included a bluetooth keyboard that kept detatching. Again - REALLY, the keyboard doesn't work. That's a pretty important part of the PC. I searched the forum for answers and all I found was the same old line that HP was working on it. I found meesages over a year old that had this same problem. So, back it went to Best Buy. I used to really like HP computers, but now, I can't say that anymore. So, do I trust HP to fix this in a timely manner, NO. Why - because they had to know about this issue alrady for quite a while. And, they did not fix it. I really hope they prove me wrong.!! I will give them 1 more week to fix it. After that, the PC will be returned. And HP PCs will be off my scratched off my list, except maybe the HP Spectre X360. To my amazement, I am even considering a MacBook Pro. Funny thing - the Spectre X360 is supposed to be a great laptop, But, Microsoft was heavily involved in the design process. That is certainly not an HP confidence buider. HP - THIS IS YOUR TIME TO "STEP UP TO THE PLATE" and fix this mess. TImes like these are opportuniies to win over customers or loose customers to the competiion. I really want to keep this PC. It is by your response to this problem that will determine the outcome.

EM dbconsole no longer works after RHEL 4 upgrade

I'd been running oracle 10.1.0.3.0 and the EM dbconsole on rhel 3 WS/x86_64. After upgrading to rhel 4 WS (with non-redhat kernel 2.6.13-rc6), the database runs fine but dbconsole doesn't work. 'emctl start dbconsole' takes a long time to run. Connections to port 5500 time out; both emagent and the java httpd process are running though they tend to die after 30 minutes or so.

Mail App no longer working after 2.0 upgrade

I upgraded to 2.0 on my IPhone Edge and now my mail application no longer works AT ALL. If I try to open it, it simply shows me a blank mail screen, waits for a few seconds and then returns to the home screen. Strangely enough, I have been able to send email photos using the camera application.
Email is the most important application for me on the iPhone! Has anyone encountered this problem? Is there a fix available?

I recently stopped by the apple store and have fixed my mail app! The problem as described to me was caused by a installing apps. Turns out that apps can mess with Mail setting in some way and perhaps due to a bad setting or a bad combination of settings my mail application stopped working. The way I fixed it was to do a restore to New Iphone which, unfortunately, wipes everything! But after syncing back up including re-installing all of my apps, mail works again! Of course, I lost all of my notes, various settings, and lots of other stuff. Turns out that a simple restore, since it backs up your phone beforehand (backing up bad settings at the same time) is not the silver bullet but a full restore to new iphone probably often is. Hope this helps others.

Keyboard, IR, Trackpad no longer work after 2.1 upgrade

Installed the BootCamp 2.1 upgrade and after the reboot, the keyboard, trackpad and IR receiver no longer work.
Windows recognizes the hardware (Found New Hardware) but during driver install, the dialog box pops up to say that Windows couldn't install the driver (Fatal error during installation).

I also just made the mistake of installing 2.1 and am having the same problems. The built-in keyboard and trackpad don't work, and my external keyboard doesn't work either. An external mouse works, but that's all.

Client proxies no longer work after R/3 upgrade to ECC5.0

After the above upgrade where WAS of the R/3 systems went from 620 to 640 client side proxies no longer work.
To be able to use client proxies in 620 we had to use a plugin. But in 640 this should be native functionality, so no more plugin for this.
The error seems to lie in the connection from R/3 to XI. If I test the RFC connection that is defined in SXMB_ADM on R/3 I get the following error:

Is your R3 system is configured as a Application system ?
Go to SXMB_ADM->Integration Engine Configuration->Check role of business system etc. and corresponding Integrtaion server

DVR Search Option No Longer Works - After The Crap Upgrade

The new software upgrade is crap. DVR search option no longer works. I can't use the search option to find my favorite programs and set the DVR to record them. It only lets me put the first letter in the search field and then nothing. I can't enter any more letters aftet that.
Verizon sent me another DVR but it has same issues. They sent a technician to my house and he basically told me, the upgrade is crap and lots of people are having technical issues.
He gave me another box and said it is working. Now I have three DVRs sitting in my house and I have to return two. After he left I tried to search and I have the same exact issue so basically he just lied and didn't fix anything.
I called tech support over and over, and they just told me that they can't do anything. They basicaly admitted that the upgrade is crap and the are clueless on how to fix it. So I'm stock with 3 DVRs that don't work. Billing department told me they can't give me any discounts either.
Anyone else is having these issues?

Same issue here. Sent me another box, same model as the old one. Same exact issues. Called Tech support back, they admitted it was a known issue, and nothing he could do about it. Was told I had to talk to someone in SALES to get them to send me a newer box.
New box is here, and now i have no option to record. Oh, and last time I called tech support... I got 'disconnected' (after being on hold for 30+ minutes). They are really dropping the ball, and I will not be renewing.

I have begun pushing out ZCM 10.3 to my infrastructure and I'd like ask WHY the Remote Control Policy no longer works.
The managed device was unable to initialize Novell encryption scheme for the session. Ensure that the managed device is UTC time synchronized with this system. If the problem persists, contact Novell Technical Services
I had a clone with ZCM 10.2.2 which i upgraded to 10.3 and sent it back to my ZENimaging servers.
What is going on here?? Why does this not work?

Netboot no longer working after 10.6 upgrade

So I updated my 10.5.8 server to 10.6 recently, everything looks to be just dandy except that my netboot server no longer work.
I've used apple's trouble shooting guide and as well as bombich's, but still to no avail, I've checked the bootpd file, I even went as far as editing the nfs.conf file from macosxhints (link below)

I wasn't getting this far (/tftpboot line) until I turned on the firewall to allow port 69 traffic but it seems that the service hangs when the client machine is supposed recevie the payload of the diskimage.
I don't know how a perfect netboot service goes to $h*t after a clean install with no configuration changed. I've verfied that nothing with our dhcp service nor dns has been changed and also verified that the server name has been added to the ip_helper.
Any help is greatly apperciated.

My experiences with netboot on snow leopard server and a few other observations: Point 1 - Never have wireless on whether it be client or server when trying to netboot client. Point 2 - Must use standard mtu setting -1500- on server under prefs. ethernet advanced, doesn't seem to matter on client -I use 7936 for 600TL Readynas on clients only-. Point 3 - It seems that if you ever use wireless on the server it messes it up for good -Took about 8 installs to learn this the hard way-. Point 4 - It seems when logging into workgroup manager with default popup of machine name.local and default user name messes server up if you have a domain name, example of how it should be is: machine name.domain name.com, org, etc. Then username would be diradmin, then password ***** so that settings will hold if you go in to change anything. Many days were spent by a friend and myself learning these few things pertaining to my machine and may help others with weird problems on snow leopard server. If anyone here knows why this is, please post, although my machine is working properly, I am curious. Thank You. By the way, I am using all the latest updates except itunes 10.

Home button on iPad2 no longer works after iOS 7 upgrade

I upgraded my iPad2 to iOS 7 today. The home button no longer works. I've powered it down and back up as well as restarted it but it's still not working. Any suggestion greatly appreciated.
About to fly to China and was looking forward to watching movies and reading on the long flight.

Isight no longer works after snow leopard upgrade

my isight no longer is available directly after snow leopard upgrade on my macbook black. Anyone else with the same problem? The isight does not show up in 'about this mac' under USB and I tried resetting SMC and PRAM.

In Leopard there was an App called iSight Update app that was in Hard Drive/System/Library/Core Services
This does not seem to be there in Snow Leopard.
An issue with some computers with the camera was that in System Preferences > Displays the Colours needed to be set to Millions.
Also check the Hard Drive/System/Library/Extensions folder and see that you have the Apple_iSight.kext (this is likely to handle the Internal iSights as well).
One last thing.
Some Web sites can make use of the camera using Flash.
If that tab is still open the Browser may have use of the camera.
It sounds like you have done computer restarts and this will not be the case unless the browser is set to go back to that page.

Please help:Midipipe no longer works after Garageband/iMac upgrades

Hi. I was wondering if anyone could help. I use my Yamaha Dtxplorer electronic drums to record drums on my iMac's Garageband program. I use a program called "midipipe" to assign the correct midi drum pad sounds before the signal goes into Garageband, and then I use the "EZdrummer" plug-in to get more realistic drums sounds. Here's the problem. In June 2011, I upgraded my iMac to "Snow Leopard" (Mac OS 10.6.7), and at the same time, I upgraded Garageband to Garageband '11 (ie Garageband 2011). Now that I did those 2 upgrades, I can no longer get midipipe to work in any way. There are NO drums sounds coming out through midipipe now, and when trying to tweak the settings, there is no longer any way to click the "hijack" checkbox on the midipipe "midi in" setting. The "hijack" button is now "greyed-out" and cannot be selected. Now I can no longer use my drums with Garageband, which is really, really disheartening. It seems like all I run into with my iMac and Garageband is nothing but problems and glitches that are making me considering recording my music on a Windows computer, and ditching my iMac altogether. I've already tried repeatedly to create new "pipes" with midipipe, but nothing will work since I cannot select the "hijack" button anymore. This problem occurred only after the Garageband and iMac upgrades, and midipipe used to work PERFECTLY with garageband and ezdrummer before. Nothing else in my set-up has changed.
If anyone has ANY possible solutions, please help. I've wasted so much time with this computer already. All I want is for it to work properly. Thank you very much in advance.

Hi JMX. No, I've had no luck trying to figure out the problem, which started ever since I upgraded my iMac and upgraded Garbageband. No replies except yours, and I googled a bunch of web pages trying to find an answer. The guy who programmed the Midipipe program didn't reply either. I'm thinking about getting a Windows computer to record music, along with Protools. Have horrible luck with Garageband since the day I bought my iMac, unfortunately. Nothing but glitches and problems.
But I wish you (and anyone else running into the same problem) the best of luck. I just don't have the patience for the contstant obstacles when trying to use an Apple Mac to record songs.

IPod Shuffle no longer works after iTunes 8 upgrade

I'm not sure if this should be posted here or in the iPod Shuffle category so I'll post it in both places. I recently upgraded to iTunes 8 and I'm running OS 10.4.11. I have an iPod shuffle that was purchased new last December so I'm not sure what generation that makes it. It has always worked fine with iTunes 7 but now I can not get it to play. I can sync it with iTunes 8 and see that my songs and podcasts are there on the Shuffle but when I disconnect it and plug in the ear buds I get no sound. Nothing. I've tried to play with the volume, forward to different tracks, pause, play, etc. etc. Nothing. No sound coming from iPod shuffle at all now. It is charged up so that's not the issue.
I should also say that my Shuffle was working fine just moments BEFORE I synched it with iTunes 8 for the first time.
Is there a known issue with iTunes 8 and the Shuffle?

After searching the forum I finally found that others were having the same problem with the 1st Gen. Shuffle after upgrading to iTunes 7. Even though it was a different iPod Shuffle and iTunes version their solution worked for me.
All I had to do was delete the "Podcasts" folder that had been created for the Shuffle and voila!

Photoshop no longer working after Lion OSX upgrade ?

Just upgraded to Lion, and my photoshop no longer seems to be working and has a question mark through it on the icon on the dock ? Is there a fix ? or do we have to wait for Adobe / Apple to fix it...

IPhone 3G no longer works after attempt to upgrade to 2.0.1

Hi all,
I have a black 16 GB iPhone 3G on a contract with Vodafone Australia. Last night I attempted to upgrade the firmware through iTunes to 2.0.1, after getting the latest security update and version of iTunes (7.7.1 I think it is). Anyway, the iPhone software appeared to download fully but then when it tried to apply the update everything froze and all I could see was the apple logo in the centre of the screen with the spinning cog below. I have tried restoring and followed everything I could find in Apple's support documents, including trying to put in DFU mode and restore but nothing - I keep getting a 1604 error. I can't contact Apple as their phone lines are only open weekdays and there is no Apple store in Melbourne as yet. Any ideas?

It was like that overnight. However, I just took the iPhone in to a Vodafone store and they replaced it with a brand new one. Problem solved I guess. Just synced up the new phone with latest firmware and everything seems to be working fine.
