I'm sorry if I got upset at you, all I really want to know is what is wrong with my iPod touch. Yes, 13 iPod's is excessive but the Genius Bar approved all of them because they were defective. Believe me, it is not fun to take public transit 20 miles from my house to get an ipod serviced.

Well, aside from a reset and/or a restore, there's really nothing to do.
Assuming your hearing is OK and you're hearing something different than the rest of us.
The Touch has no speaker - it's a "transducer" which is only for making basic sounds.
It will never be the same quality as a speaker.
