We want to add new transaction key in account determination (OBYC).
How to add it?

Hi Rajan,
If you are talking about the transaction key at Materials Management postings (MM) group (RMK),
it is merely not advisable to create a transaction key.
You have General modification like BSA, INV etc for differentiating the postings.
The transation key mentioned in the earlier mail is for below purpose:
To enable the system to find the relevant account for provisions (
accrued delivery costs or miscellaneous provisions, for example),
must assign a transaction/event (internal processing) key to each
condition type that is relevant to provisions in the step Define
Calculation Schema.

Hi,
Go to FBKP. Click on Automatic Postings.
Suppose you want to see the Exchange Rate diff. then click on it. You will see the transaction. Suppose KDB. Then double click on it. Now click on posting keys. The same will be defined in the table which is given by you.

Enter table name T158 and press F5.
This will allow you to add new transactions to the table.

You can create a new Transaction Key in SPRO->Materials Management->Purchasing->Conditions->Define Price Determination Process->Define Transaction/Event Keys. Then assign this in to the Pricing Procedure (SPRO->Materials Management->Purchasing->Conditions->Define Price Determination Process->Define Calculation Schema). Now you can configure Account Determination using OBYC for the Transaction Key created by you.

Add new language keys

Guys,
I need to add a new language key in CRM 5.0. In Transaction BP when we select languages, how do we add new languages to the list?

Individual languages cannot be added by a phone owner/user.
A specific/select set/combination of languages is put on devices intended for specific regions/countries.
This means that all possible combinations of languages that individual people might wish to see do not exist (such software packages, firmware, has not been created by Nokia).
And the only proper way of getting whatever languages are available, is to buy a device intended for the region/country where those languages are available.

Creation of new transaction keys

when i am performing inwards goods movement for the material it triggers bsx transaction key and it post to the respective G/L account. my client requirement is create new trans key say yyy and it triggers my G/L account.
CAN any on esuggest me how to do this

HI,
You do not have to define these transaction keys, they are determined automatically from the transaction (invoice verification) or the movement type (inventory management). All you have to do is assign the relevant G/L account to each posting transaction.
If you create it you have to make changes in Movement type level as well in following path which is not suggestible
SPRO -> MM -> Valuation and Acct Assignment -> Acct Dtermination -> Define accoutn grouping for movement types.

Remove the primary key constraint and add new primar key to the table.

Hi all,
We had a design plan to remove a primary from the table on column X(VARCHAR) and add a new primary key on column Y(sequence)(dimensional table). Instead, I am planning to create a unique index on the column Y (I am referring column Y in my Fact table).
I am using the column Y while joining the dimensional and fact table. Now, my question is.
Is the retrieval will be faster if I make column Y as primary key or Is it the performance same if I create a unique index on it ?
Note: Both column X and Y in dimension table are unique and not null. Don't want to alter the existing system hence want to create unique index .
Please suggest.

When you define a column as Primary key column you give certain information to Oracle that i can use when accessing that table. And similarly when you say a column as Unique Key column you give certain details to oracle that i can use when accessing that table.
So it is up to you to decide if the what that column is meant to do. And decide based on that.
For example a Unique column can have NULL values. But a primary key cannot have NULL value. This piece of information can be critical to oracle to generate the best plan.

Change string value by adding a transaction key in T156

Hello expert,
My client want to add the transaction key BSX in the string value used for the code movement 261 k (good issue
of supplier consignment stock).
SAP Active Global Support respond that changes of value string for standard movement types are not supported.
However we want if possible to change that : is there a way to do that?

Hi,
If you just want to use new transaction or account modifier without changing value/quantity string, you can do that in T156X.
Otherwise, i.e. to update value/quantity string -
Create a custom value string with reference to SAP standard WA03. Update the Value/Quantity string for movement type 261 K in table T156S. Goto SE11 - Display Contents - Create/Maintain Entries.
You need to add custom transaction keys/account modifiers for value strings in table T156W.

Dear Vir,
The G/L account determination process in G/L Accounting mostly uses the
transaction key technique to obtain the required G/L accounts for business transactions.
For Foreign currency transactions:
SPRO -> Financial Accounting -> General Ledger Accounting -> Periodic Processing -> Valuate -> Foreign Currency Valuation
Other General Ledger Transactions
SPRO -> Financial Accounting -> General Ledger Accounting -> Business Transactions -> Closing -> Carried Forward -> Define Retained Earning Account
OBA1 G/L account determination for foreign currency valuation
OBYA Maintain inter-company clearing G/L accounts
OB53 Maintain retained earnings accounts
OBBV Assign AR/AP adjustment accounts

OBYC - Transaction key FR1

Dear All,
I want to add general modified in rules of transaction key FR1? as per standard SAP, we have debit/credit, valuation modifier and valuation classes are there.
is there any possibility to add, because as per our client i have to assign different Freight clearing accounts based on Geographical area. by using general modifier i want to assign different Freight clearing accounts.
Can any one suggest me - how we can meet the requirement?

hi,
i didn't find any option to add new rules for transaction keys.
For example for transaction key "WRX" - accounts are determined based on : debit/credit, general modificaiton,valuation modifier,valuation class.
For FR1 - we have only debit/credit, valuation modifier,valuation class. But here i want to add general modificaiton.
is it possible. if yes, how can we add.
I don't want to create any new transaction keys, because we are using only one MM pricing schema and one condition type.

yes, i was poor in exits side i heard their is no need of accesskey if user exit was available for that transaction but hear i didn't find any screen exits, did u know any screen exits.

Hi Bharat,
First thing is you need to have the access key to change any standard dictionary object/standard programs/ standard transactions.You may get this from your basis person after getting approval from your respective manager.But changing or modifying the standard object is not recommended, but if there is no alternate to meet the business requirement then we have to follow this way only.
Next, you need to check whether this table's primary key is being used in any other table as foreing key or not. If there is, then you must remove this relation and then you can delete the unncessary primary key field from that table.Finally you can add the two new fields and set them as primary key, save, check for any errors and activate.

the fact that your question is posted in Order Management section, does the move order automatically generated by OM?
nevertheless, i don't think you should (or allowed, in this case) to add a new line in transact move order. Transact move order only queries (not create records) the move order lines eligible to allocate and transact.
So, I don't see why you need to add a new line in transact move order.
You can, however, add a new line in the allocation of the lines, where for instance, you need to have half of the line allocated to one locator, and the other half to another locator
