To attach a Phone or a vehicle to a particular position in Organisation

Hi Experts,
Is it possible to attach a Phone or a vehicle to a particular position in an organisation so that an employee holding that particular position may be able to access them.
Scenario is like a Phone & Car is issued to a particular position like(Chief Engiineer) in the organisation.

Dear Tomesh,
You can make use of IT1010 for tha assignment of resources by creating subtypes for the same IT. Also crate entries in the table T778W for the subtype you have created.
If you are looking for any icon display then i'm nor sure but you can place in SAP Note.

Many of the Verizon Droid X car mounts have defective wires in them. This problem is widely reported on many forums and websites. You should return your product for a brand new replacement that is not defective (that is, the car charger will charge your Droid X when it is in the car mount).

Pairing phone with my vehicle successfully (SO FAR)

my phone kept connecting and disconnecting from my car's hands free.
i had to do a factory reset.
chose my language and skipped all the other setup options.
paired my device
DECLINED the phone book option. (Think the phonebook was the problem)
Held down "my vehicle" until options came up and made sure both options were checked.
Works so far and the voice dialing from my car seems to work nicely.

HT1766 I am trying to up date my phone to iOS7 and now my phone is stuck with the itunes symbol and a connect to computer picture and I can't use my phone. I attached the phone to computer and have downloaded itunes to my computer but I have no idea what

Please check 2 things in your computer.
1. Right click 'My Computer' => Manage => Services & Applications => Services. Look for Apple Mobile Service at the top. Status must be STARTED. If stop, please start it.
2. Open iTunes in computer. For Windows 7, go to iTunes Store => Authorise this Computer => key-in your Apple ID and password when prompted. For Windows 8, press ALT and S together. A pop-up window would show information of authorising computer. Click Authorise this Computer => key-in your Apple ID and password when prompted.

Can I attach multiple phone numbers to my iMessage account?

So here's my predicament:
Any time I go travelling somewhere, I like to buy a local SIM card so that I don't have to pay fees for roaming data. The problem is that whenever I insert a new SIM card, iMessage switches to using my new (temporary) number and disconnects from my old (permanent) number. So any new messages I send will either send from this foreign number, or from my email; either one is inconvenient because it tends to start new threads for others in group messages and such. And people who try to iMessage my permanent phone number end up having it fail and then send it as a text message (which I will not receive until I get home and switch my SIM card back).
Is it possible to have multiple phone numbers connected to an iMessage account? (Without resorting to something drastic like buying more iPhones just to have more active numbers.) It seems like something that should be possible, but I can't figure out how to do it.

HT201210 Attempted to update my Iphone this morning. Got what looks like my phone asking me to attach my phone to my itunes. Did that and now Itunes is telling me I my phone is in recovery mode and I need to restor it.

You don't have a choice. Anything that was on the phone is already gone. hopefully, you've been backing up on a regular basis. If you had iCloud backups turned on, the backups should be automatic.

When people complain about an echo, that's what they are talking about. The echo problem is mostly heard with the caller on the other end.
I have had the situation happen to me and when I unplug the headset the echo goes away and when I plug it back in the echo returns.
I think this problem is much larger than it seems because unless the person on the other end complains about the echo you can't always tell it is happening.

Saving excel file attachment on phone

I received and excel file via email on my phone and would like to save it for later to use with the office plus program. I can open the file from my phone but do not know how to save it. Can anyone help.

When I test this on my pc, I get file download window and I can choose 'open' or'save'. I also have tested this on some of my collegues PCs successfully. But the some of the end users are not getting this window.
when the same is file is downloaded by running an asp page the enire MSExcel application with standard tool bar and menus(file edit etc..) is showing up.

IPhone 6 and Bluetooth phone connectivity issues with my vehicle: this is how I fixed it.

With so many threads on this topic, I wanted to detail the steps I took to fix my iPhone 6 Bluetooth issues regarding connectivity to my vehicle and handsfree calling. My phone was pairing with my vehicle without a problem and syncing my contacts and call history but when I attempted to make a call (from either the phone or the vehicle screen) the audio went out and I could not hear the call either through the vehicle speakers or on the phone. The call was going through but I was unable to see it on my vehicle screen and/or hear it either the phone or the vehicle screen.
Based on my research and what I have learned so far, the people having problems are those who restored their new iPhone 6 from an iCloud backup from a previous phone, rather than setting up their iPhone 6 as a new phone. I did an iCloud restore from my previous 5s running iOS 8.
First, I am a Verizon customer and I enabled Advanced Calling on my line. After I requested that this feature be added to my line, under “Cellular” settings on my iPhone, I enabled LTE voice & data.
Next steps:
1) Unpair/remove iPhone from the vehicle;
2) Forget/remove the vehicle from the phone Bluetooth settings;
3) Soft reset the iPhone;
4) Reset network settings on the iPhone; and
5) Pair the phone to the vehicle again and attempt to make a call.
If that does not work…
6) Perform a factory reset, erasing EVERYTHING from your phone and set it up as a new iPhone rather than restoring from a backup.
Resetting the network settings seems to be working for some people. It did not work for me. I tried it a few times with no result. I did the dreaded factory reset, paired the phone with my vehicle and had all of my Bluetooth functionality back and was able to use the handsfree phone with zero issues.
I was on the phone yesterday multiple times with Apple, Toyota Entune, Verizon and my Toyota dealer. Verizon blamed Toyota Entune, Toyota Entune blamed Verizon and my Toyota dealer blamed Apple. Nobody had a clue how to fix this issue or what was causing it. I don’t know the exact reason why the previous iCloud backups are killing the Bluetooth connections, I just know what worked for me and I thought it was worth sharing.

The new 8.0.2 update DID NOT FIX THIS ISSUE AT ALL. After you power off and on with the phone, same issue as the 8.0, all 3 of my cars lost Bluetooth connection and shows no signal at all. Good job Apple, what a lousy update you guys did.

HT4528 I have an Iphone 4 CDMA. Can you pair it with more than one vehicle through HFL? I have Hondas. Also my new CRV receives texts through the Nav. It says this phone is non-compatible. Is there some software that needs downloaded?

Can you pair through bluetooth my phone to more than one vehicle? My new Honda CRV receives text messages. However it says my Iphone 4 CDMA is not compatible. Is there software I need to download to my phone?

If it works anything like Ford Sync, you can pair the same phone to different vehicles, as long as you set up separate Bluetooth profiles on the iPhone for each vehicle.
As far as Texts go, you won't be able to get them in your vehicle because the iPhone doesn't have the software protocols to do it. FWIW, I can't get texting from my iPhone 4S in my new Lincoln with Ford Sync either.

Downloads to cell phones

Anybody know how to download music from itunes to Motorola Razor and Samsung D807 phones? They are only set up for PC's. Attaching the phone to my iMac G5 via usb shows nothing on the screen to drag music to. Both phone companies say they only support PC's. Any thoughts?

Neither mobile handset you describe supports iTunes, or the protected or unprotected AAC format it uses. For Mac OS X, or Windows. Windows support on those handsets is likely for MP3 format, but may be for others formats instead of or in addition to MP3.
It's a matter of converting music you have collected to a format supported by your mobile handset, then moving it there via Bluetooth. Few support such transfers via USB, and some carriers—Verizon, for example—have made it nearly impossible to effect such transfers without using proprietary network-based products or services like GetItNow! to accomplish this.
iSync supports only contact, event and task synchronization with mobile handsets, not the transfer of media files.

IPhoto '09 won't import JPG files from my phone.

Here's the step-by-step
I have a new Samsung Evergreen phone that evidently stores photos in .JPG format, not sure yet if I can tell it to save them as .JPEG.
On my MacBook, I have over 10,000 photos in my iPhoto library imported from several different cameras and copied from previous computers.
I attach the phone to the Mac with a microUSB-->USB cable. (( BTW - MacBookPro is Intel Core 2 Duo ca August '09 ))
Phone wants to know about USB mode.... I select "Media Player"
iPhoto'09 (V 8.1.2 (424)) comes alive recognizes the device, finds the pictures, and offers to Import them. Cool!... I select "Import All".
iPhoto goes through the motions of importing all 22 files then displays a message "The following file could not be imported. (The file is in an unrecognized format.) this is followed by a list of all 22 files.
I know that most, if not all, images in my iPhoto database are JPEG suffixed. But from all I've read, JPG and JPEG are identical/interchangeable
I've been a devout Mac user for over 2 years now and haven't ever encountered a problem with anything that needed to be resolved on this discussion board or even by calling Apple Support. All I can conclude about this is that I'm doing something really, grossly, stupid. But I sure don't know how to proceed. Should I go to an Apple Retail store and have them figure it out?

Why do I blame the phone? Because neither the Mac nor the PC can access the files.

No, no one from Apple reads or responds on here. As the Terms of Use make quite clear, this is a space for Users to seek help from other Users only. It's not a substitute for AppleCare. There are something in the region of 100,000,000 iPhones out there. It's inevitable that some devices will have issues, and some users. So, taken in that scale, the fact that - what - a couple of hundred people have issues mightn't seem so appalling.

A reset may help. Tap and hold the Home button and the On/Off buttons for approximately 15-20 seconds, until the Apple logo reappears. When the logo appears, release both buttons.
No content is affected by this procedure.
