hello! how can i put and read my words documents in the notes pad of my ipod nano 3trd generation?thanks to all.

The Notes features of the 3G iPod Nano only supports TXT files and not Word Documents.  If you want to be able to read these word documents, you'll need to copy the text from each over to a text file.  See here for more information.

Keep in mind that each txt file has a limit of 4096 characters.  See this article for more information as well.

  • To Buy or not to Buy - Macintel

    Hi Guys,
I'm going to purchase a 20' inch, 2GB, 256 GC, iMac in April and I want to know if it is the right choice for me.
My family and I will use it for:
    1.Internet, Email and AIM
    2.Office Applications
    3.Wacthing DVDs
    4.Playing Sims 2
5.Fooling around with iPod/w Video and iPod Nano
6.Experimenting with new capabilities of Macs
Thats basically it. I am a PC user, but my sister has been tellign me to try macs. I want to know if I will be satisfied with my purchase.
P.S. How does Office 2004, and Sims 2 work wih Rosetta?
What is the difference bet. 256 GC and 128 GC?
    What are the benefits?
Are there othe Sims 2 expansion packs for Mac?
Is April a good time to buy a iMac (enough time for more bugs to be fixed?
Success stories are welcome here too

Hello there, welcome to the forums!
You can buy it now, in April or any time, if you mean bug fixes in Mac OS X, yes they will be fixed. As it isn't any hardware bug (noticed yet) it wouldn't matter when you purchase your Mac.
    For your uses:
    1. Internet, great with Safari (Apple's browser), Mail (Apple's mailprogram) and AIM works on Mac OS X with AIM and other chatprograms.
    2. There are several apps like Microsoft Word which is included with a 30 day trial when you get your Mac. However it runs under Rosetta right now so it might be a little bit slower but it runs good anyway. Microsoft will soon make it universal (which means both PowerPC and Intel Macs can run the software).
You can also find other programs for wordprocessing and other on the internet.
    3. Watching DVDs is great experiense with Apple's built-in DVD Player in Mac OS X.
    4. I am not sure if Sims 2 is universal yet but it might work in Rosetta.
    5. iPod + Macs are made for eachother, so they will work great!
    6. There are much to explore in Mac OS X and you will like it.
The difference between 128 MB videoram and 256 MB videoram is that 256 MB is better for games and 3D apps.
The benefits with Mac and Mac OS X are many. Take a look on the Apple.com and Mac OS X to learn more.
But isn't a 20" overkill for you with 256 MB videoram? Of course it depends on what you do, and of course you decide, but think about the 17 " aswell.
I am sure you will love Mac! Good Luck! And please post how you did.

  • To buy or not to buy a Nano

I was prepared to purchase the new Ipod Nano but with all the discussion about the screen problems I have decided to wait, but for long not sure.
Would it be advisable to wait until the next generation? ?
My spouse currently has the Ipod Photo and the sceen is in almost perfect condition after a year of use.
Spending several hundred dollars on a product to discover it becomes a fight with the local dealer to get it repaired or replaced is not appealing, as a consumer I will not purchase a product with a known problem.

You've virtually answered your own question.
The current version of the Nano clearly has known problems - all the people that recommend buying one, also recommend treating it with extreme levels of care and/or wrapping it up in some protective case - I've never had to do this for anything else, including previous Ipods (3G, 4G, Shuffle) and they've not shown signs of unusual wear and tear - none of mine have any protection at all.
I don't understand why there is such an urgency to go out and buy one when these issues remain outstanding. I ordered mine before all the problems were reported, and had I not done so, I would be holding off for the improved version.
Of course the Nano is a great piece of kit but it's teething troubles remain unsorted - just look at how often the same issues keep appearing from new owners on this forum and how much grief these owners are going through.
I'm equally sure there's plenty owners out there who've had no problems, but that doesn't mean the Nano's fine - it clearly suffered some degree of quality control problems and nobody really knows how widespread these are (I'm not just talking about cracked screens) - so if you buy today, you take a risk.

  • To buy or not to buy LENOVO 3000 N200

    Hello!
At first I am from slovenia that's because mi english is not so good
I am buying a laptop for school (photoshop, programming, movies ) and i found the lenovo N200 in our store
    http://www.bof.si/sl/product.cp2?guid=6F2B85B9-3CEA-CE25-1DA7-3D02A9C4EF0D&linkid=15.
I became interested in this laptop but i have some questions:
    - Is the fan noise a pain in the ass? Because of it's on-off function.
    - Is the housing durable for caring it around in a backpack? Is it well made?
    - Does the this battery have the same problem as the n100 model?
    - Any reasons why not to buy it?
Thans for you help and keep up the good work.

Here is my experience based on owning a Lenovo 3000 N100 laptop:
Thinkpads are built very sturdy.  The "consumer level" laptops, ie the 3000 models, are nothing special.  In fact, I would not recommend the 3000 model to anyone.  In my personal experience, the 3000 models are plagued with engineering errors.  The motherboards have defects that render the USB ports useless (my USB ports are dead).  Many of the batteries need to be recalled (my battery failed).  If they do recall your battery, they will not notify you (they did not notify me).  You'll have to come to a website like this and search for details (this website is awsome).  The laptop case is weak and flexes much like any other cheap laptop on the market.  The power supplies are underpowered (my 65W supply sure gets hot)..  Other than those 4 defects, my machine works fine.
Don't be fooled into thinking the 3000 series is anything like the Thinkpads in terms of reliability or service; they are not.  You have to pay good money for a good laptop; hence the Thinkpad series.
    Good luck.

  • Playlists do not show up on iPod Nano 4th G

I've selected a few playlists to sync to my ipod (nano 4G). The songs sync and show up on the ipod alphabetically by title, artist, album, etc., but there are no itunes playlists listed. Is it not possible to play music "by playlist" the way i could with my previous ipods?

I don't know what had happened and why - but I got this to work by completely deleting the files out of itunes and reimporting from my external hard drive backup and re-creating the playlists.... not the most ideal solution, but it works.

It says this three times in the diagnostic. Any help anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated!!!

Try this otherwise surf this site as there are is a lot of helpful material about this very problem
Plug in Ipod and when windows recognises it right click on the ipod in my computer then select format. You will get several options first try selecting quick format. then exit and restart itunes. Itunes will say it needs to reset factory settings. Do this and follow prompts. This did not work for me. But it may for you. I had to do a full format inside my computer which simply means that I did not tick the quick format box. Then repeated the itunes process. This still did not work so as a last ditch effort after all this I did another quick format in my computer and this finally worked .
So three windows reformats and three itunes resets and finally itunes accepted my ipod again

  • Is there a way to undo the last itunes update? itunes will not now recognise my ipod nano

I recently installed the itunes update to 11.3 and my ipod nano (gen 7) is no longer recognised in itunes. Is there a way to undo the update or is itunes issuing a fix for it. the message board indicate I'm far from alone with this problem!

    Hi princecaspian22,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand how frustrating it can be for your device to not be recognized in iTunes. There may be a few steps to take to help isolate the issue and get this resolved. I suggest following the steps in the following article to help you through the process.

  • Album artwork not getting on my iPod nano?!

I tried everything to get my artwork to show up on my iPod nano. I read every topic in the forums about it and I did what people said to do and it still isnt showing up. The album artwork shows up in iTunes but not on my iPod. Can anyone help me?

    Cheers,
same here. I have downloaded artwork to iTunes and after that synced music to iPod (nano 4g) manually. But artwork doesn't show either when playing the music or in the coverflow. Don't even know whether the artwork was downloaded to iPod (is there a way to check this?) Seems to be so common problem, so hopefully Apple fixes this or gives instructions how to fix it.

  • Audiobooks not showing up on ipod nano with iTunes 8.0

Help! My audiobooks are not showing up on my ipod nano. They are in the audiobook catagory in itunes and the audiobook catagory shows up when my ipod is plugged into the computer, however when I unplug it I can't find the files! There is no Audiobook catagory or playlist on my ipod (unlike the on the computer). Has anyone else had this problem and figured out a solution? Thanks!

    Hi,
I have the same problem. If you look under 'Albums' you will find the books listed there but they behave as 'Music files'. Apple need to fix this but when?

  • New content not showing up on ipod nano.

When my ipod nano is plugged in, I can access and play the music I put on last time from the device, so it's obviously there. But when I unplug it the new content doesn't show up on the nano itself, and the songs which I deleted *are* showing up (although they don't have any content to play, it's just the names). Is there a way to fix this without wiping it and starting fresh? I'm travelling and don't have access to all my music.
