To buy or not to buy CUDA-Card while editing 1080p vs 720p. Advice needed!

Hello folks,
I am relatively new to editing, not so much to computers and technologies. I was happily editing some GoPro 720p footage. Nearly with no issues, specifically I can fly through the previews at up to 3x fast-forward. 4x brings up stuttering.
Now as a contrast I started editing 1080p and it's a pain in the *ss. Above 2x (that is 3x and 4x) the stuttering while previewing footage in Premiere Pro CS6 starts.
I've read the FAQs (specifically about optimization, CUDA, multi-core, and so on). I have a Quadcore Q9550, 8 GB RAM, SSD main for the OS, secondary SATA 7200 RPM and a third SATA disk. When I look at the task manager and I do the 3x fast-forward in 1080p (also in 720p for the case, no obvious differences actually) I cannot see any "bottleneck" in my hardware. The HDD/SSD drives are nearly not working, the CPU is about 50% and the RAM is also about 50% of usage.
So I don't understand why this is happening? Do I actually need a CUDA graphics card? (Got a 9600 GT with 512MB RAM) Shouldn't the REST of the PCs hardware be completely "stressed" before I need to add a CUDA card to the system? Why doesn't it use the full CPU quadcore for the preview?
I also have checked and re-checked the correct sequence settings, and have done it manually and also the "quick way" buy using "Make new sequence from clip". Results where the same.

Unlike Win8, Win7 Task Manager won't tell you much about disk I/O - Resource Monitor is a better tool for that.
Windows 8 Task Manager:
Note "active time", "average response time". Win8 Task Manager is awesome.
Windows 7/8 Resource Monitor:
You still get "active time" (blue graph), giving you an idea of utilization but not "response time".
Have you tried doing a 3x playback test with the SSD you have? Put a video clip there temporarily, and do a 3x playback on it, see if the behavior is the same.
Also, tried a 3x playback at 1/4th or 1/8th of resolution?

on two occasions, when trying to start an application, i received a warning saying i need a java runtime (?) but that i was not connected to the internet while in fact I was. I controlled this by selecting the system network preference which confirmed my internetconnection was working properly?

Because the machine is not able to resolve the name of the server where it needs to get the Java runtime from. Seem to be a lot of wonky DNS out there.
Temporarily switch your DNS to 8.8.8.8 and 4.4.4.4, open a terminal, and type 'java -version', to get it to install the runtime.
Then put your DNS back the way it was.

I cancelled my debit card that is associated with my itunes account but now i cant download my purchases and tells me payment information is incorrect. On top of that i cant not see the "none" option while editing billing information

I all the purchases can be downloaded for free but it asks me to sign in and i hit the sane wall saying payment information is incorrect. i tried removing cancelled debit card from billing information but i can not find the "none" option when i click edit. any help would be appreciated.

Country IN does not store a hard currency while editing company code data

hi, i am new to sap. i defined company n company code (copying from std) and edited company code data, while trying to save that getting error "Country IN does not store a hard currency". please guide me what have to do to over come this. thanks

Help error 3259 not making any sense to me ..... advice needed

Hi there, my IpodTouch has been freezing up and no opening apps and its really getting on my nerves , no idea why its doing it, anyways, I have been trying for two days to reset my IPOD to factory setting in thehop that it will help , so i tired to reset but everytime i try and reset it keeps trying to updadte my ipod to version 2.2.1 .. which i already have - so i click ok to update, as it wont let me reset with updating ?? but it gets half way through and it just times out with the error code 3259...... I have google the error code and done all the tings suggesed , update itunes, turn off firewall blh blah blah but still it wont update, but the problem all I want to do is reset to factory settings, so please could soomeone tell me what on earth is going on... I just dont understand it and is there a solution...

How to verify billing information when you are under aged and did not put a credit card in cause you only buy with gift cards?! HELP

Hi Everyone.
My sister and I have been having problems with our ipods. We both have the touch and because our dad bought both our ipods and our ipods were under the same name it was starting to sync eachothers music to each ipod instead of seperate. we also wanted to use 2 different credit cards. so we thought the best solution would be to just create her, her own account. Everything went smoothly and i realized there was an option to not add a credit card, being that shes under aged and only buys with gift cards anyway. Now im struggling because i entered her gift cards into her acount and every time she goes to buy a song it says confirm or varify billing information. I have tried re entering her account info, i tried adding a credit card, ive tried several things and it is not allowing me to varify the account and will tell me that my requist is unavailable at this time....
does anyone know how to fix this problem soo she can buy songs

This can be caused by a few things.
      Make sure the billing card address, the one on the statement is the exact
             same as in iTunes.
      Note even the zip code being off can cause this.
       Try a different CC
      and the way the always works
          An iTunes GC.

Can I buy on iTunes and not use my gift card balance for one transaction?

I have a $40 gift card balance on iTunes. Now I need to buy an app for work and put it on my corporate card. But if I buy the app on iTunes, it will come out of my gift card balance. Is there a way to say "don't use my gift card balance for this transaction?"

BEST BUY CREDIT CARD DEBT PROTECTION SCAM!! BEWARE

I, like several other BB account holders that have written regarding this same exact issue, have been scammed by the debt protection service - for over $1000.
Upon signing up the the best buy card, I was somehow enrolled in the debt protection service. I certainly did not sign on for this service with any knowledge of doing so, and wasn't "asked" by a rep if I wanted the service.
Very long story short, I had been charged for this service without my knowledge, to the point where I now have paid over $1000 for it. As others have pointed out, I am to blame for not being more diligent in regards to analyzing my electronic statements - but for my extremely busy lifestyle, that is the purpose of auto-pay. I know what my payment is supposed to be, and I trust that is what I will be paying.
Once I realized that I had been charged for this service every billing cycle - I began calling Best Buy regarding this issue. My experience was identical to others who have experienced this debt protection scam. They pass me on to several different departments until I am beyond frustrated and exhausted from talking with all of these people and re-explaining my story over and over. Then in the end they always say that the issue will be looked into and resolved within 30 days. I've gone through many of these 30 day cycles. At an escalated level, they conveniently pass all blame onto Citibank as the single entity that controls the debt protection - so all responsibility is ignored by Best Buy.
I've had a horrible experience dealing with this, and despite all of the calls and promises of it being taken care of, I am nearing the end of my time with Best Buy. They are not going to work with me, and I am going to pay for this service and be done with Best Buy for good.
I'll probably receive a scripted response from a Best Buy "Social Media Specialist" as all of these identical complaints have received - stating in the message body "Citibank, N.A. is the issuer of your My Best Buy credit card account. Due to this, we don’t have access to their accounts". Again conveniently deflecting all call for action to Citibank. And I promise that Citibank and/or Best Buy will do nothing to resolve, or even try and help.
You can say that I'm at fault and have to deal with the consequenses of unknowingly signing up for this service and not analyzing my statements more thoroughly - BUT isn't it interesting that so many others have had this same exact problem with Best Buy Debt Protection? Is it all just a coincidence - and are we all just ignorant people who can't manage their accounts? I believe this Debt Protection is set up in a way to do exactly what it has done to me. To take money from people. Upon doing all of the electronic sign-up for the account, it's convenient to sign up for paperless statements - and if you don't watch closely, they will slip and extra charge in there for you.
For all new account holders - or if you are considering becoming an account holder - BE CAREFUL! Once they take your money they will have no sympathy for your situation, regardless of what it is.

Credit cards can definitely be a double-edged sword. While at times they allow for greater economic freedoms, they also can cause untold headaches as well. I’m sorry to hear that in this instance, the account protection service on your Best Buy credit card is the cause.
Depending on how long ago you applied for your Best Buy credit card, the option to opt out or in for account protection would either have been a check box on the application or a sign off on the keypad in the store. It’s disappointing to hear that at the time you applied, this particular section was not pointed out to you to make you aware of what you were agreeing to with the card.
As you’ve stated, while the Best Buy logo is on the card, Citibank, N.A. is the issuer of the card and we don’t have access to your account to make any changes or refunds to it. However, it is our goal to try assisting our customers with concerns regarding the Best Buy credit card. How do I use my Best Buy gift card on BB eBay?

I have been trying to order a specific Playstation 4 bundle through the Best Buy website (which allowed for in store pickup of this bundle ONLY) however, there are none available!
So I was very excited when I found it on Best Buy eBay, but I want to know if there is a way I can apply my 2 Best Buy gift cards ($55 total value)?
Also, upon purchasing the system from Best Buy eBay - would I be able to obtain an itemized receipt? Because I would like to purchase a 3 year extended warranty from Sony and they require an itemized receipt.
If need be, I am willing to go into the store to process the gift cards.
