To change description on release appraisal form

Hi Gurus,
I am facing an issue related to the appraisal form which is already released and employees using the appraisal form. Now client wants to change some description in the appraisal document.
I am trying to make the appraisal document to unreleased status, but getting error, that the form is already in used and can not be changed. System is not letting me to change the status from released to unreleased.
Could you please let me know if there is any standard report, which can be executed to change the released appraisal document.

Thanks so much for your time and comments. However I got the answer, I dont know whether its full proof . Has'nt tested yet. There is SAP Note 888650 which allows us to make changes for released apprailsa forms.

cancel the release of your template, even if it is already used in
appraisal documents. You can then adapt your template customizing and
release the template again.
If you have release 110 of Software Component EA-HR, create the report with
the coding from attachment ZRHHAPUNRELEASE_110.txt. Otherwise, use the
coding from attachment ZRHHAPUNRELEASE.txt.
Important: Only use this report if advised by SAP Development
Support! Changing customizing which is used productively may
result in database inconsistencies, or change the behaviour
and appearance of existing appraisal documents. This can also
affect closed documents and their follow-up processing.
First test your changes with a copy of the template, or in a test system.
Do the changes to the productive template while the system is not running.

How to change description of released transport request

There is one way to achieve this.But this s not advisable.
1.) Got o FM 'TRINT_CHECK_REQUEST_CHANGEABLE'
At the line number 111 IF is_request_header-trstatus CA sctsc_states_released, put the break point.
1.) Double click the released request which you want to change the description.
2.) your EDIT option will be disabled. Just type '/h' in the tcpode area and press enter, your debugging will switched on.
3.) Then Press ENTER again, it will open the debugger screen, in the variable change the SY_UCOMM field to 'WB_DISP_EDIT_TOGGLE' . Then press F8.
4.) your control will be in the FM 'TRINT_CHECK_REQUEST_CHANGEABLE' line number 111. Try to skip this IF condition by using debug technique.
5,) Now you can change the description.Now you cant save this as Save button is disabled.Just press back button, you will get the message for save the changes.Just save it. Done.

Copying Appraisal Form data from Old to New..

Hi,
My client has been using an Appraisal template since last year and all the users keyed in their data already.Then they wanted some minor changes in the existing Appraisal form.We have created a New Template.
Now my Client wants to Copy all the old forms data to New Form.They are not interested to ask the users again to Key in all the data.Then want to copy the old form data to new.Is it possible to copy the Old Form data into NewForm ?
Is there any std way to download & the upload the records?
I tried to Record(SHDB) the App_create Trnx,But it's not recording the Textarea Subscreens.
Im using SAP4.7 and HR Extension 2.00 and using HAP_DOCUMENT BSP Application in my Portal.

In later releases it will be the same. Our design is just this way. You can't copy appraisals, and you can't change released templates. Those are conciously made design decisions which I still stand to.
From a business point of view it just needs a different approach. Your current situation is not an exception. Here is how I have seen other multinational companies with a global roll-out handle it.
They setup the appraisal process for a year, say for 2005. They start gathering the suggestions/complaints from employees/management and start discussing internally on the possible changes in the process. Then they implement a new template and make this available for the new round in 2006. The old template they put in "in history".
So, they stick to the process they have initiated and start with an approved template with the new round. This then does not disrupt the current process, avoids "bad" quick fixes and gives HR the time to test the new process.
For now, try to create the "copy" report but I would also inform the client that the above process would be the better one on the long run.
Also from an employee and manager point of view it makes more sense as the process they started doesn't change without them knowing what or why.

my client asked to show the objective description to each and every user while open their appraisal form.
is like a button icon once the user click,his objective description is shown in display pad..
please guide me about what are the configurations require to fulfill our scenerio.

You can enter the descriptions for the VA, VB or the VC objects. After entering the descriptions, in the column tab (for the va, vb or the vc), change the Text Layout (in the web settings) value to "Name and Description".

Business Event Appraisal Form in New Appraisal System

I have created Business Event Appraisal Form in New Appraisal System. I have done Appraisals for one Business Event by an attendee.
Where can see this Appraisal Document of Business Event and do any change if required. Or from we can delete this documents of Business Event Appraisal.
I have tried tcode appchange but there only Personnel Appraisal templates are visible.

I am trying to change the Proficiencies in Appraisal Model from the following, as per standard;
1 = 100%
2 = 90%+
3 = 80%+
4 = 70%+
5 = 60%+
6 = 50%+
To the following, as per the requirements of the client;
1 = 50%+
2 = 60%+
3 = 70%+
4 = 80%+
5 = 90%+
6 = 100%
Is it possible to be done? If so, how do I do it?

One more thing, Is it possible to edit the weighting in the appraisal forms? like the weighting i comming up as 1, i i want to change it to 2 how can i do that?

The system always asks with the description of the field you refer to with the parameter variable in the select statement.
I sometimes defined a UDT only for getting the appropriate title in the parameter entering window. The table has no data; I used it only for its field names.
(The parameter request can be placed inside a comment and the entered value is used setting an SQL variable like this:

set @d=[%0]
This SQL variable can be used later in the real query.)
(But then you loose the possibility to choose from the u2018List of existing valuesu2019

For example, which table have been modify form version 4.x to 4.z, i mean fields added or modified, etc...

Hi Albio,
You can do this. You can check the activation log of any table which you have to find for change history.
Just go to se11 and type the table name click on display and then go to utilities -> then activation log, it will show you all the changes made to table

Download Appraisal Form (BAdI: HRHAP00_OFFLINE)

Hi:
I would like to use the upload/download functionality in SAP to download my appraisal form, make changes offline and upload again.
The standard downloaded format downloaded is *.pdf.
Is it possible to create a new implementation in the BAdI "HRHAP00_OFFLINE" to download the document into MS-Word format instead?
ADOBE print/edit licence is more expensive and I doubt the client will want to give this licence to all their employees.
I hope someone will be able to help me with this question.

Hi SC,
Appraisal documents can be downloaded in PDF only. This has to get the support from ADOBE interactive forms. As per the document upload and download it only uses PDF format. No other format will support as ADOBE interactive forms.
And the interactive forms in the way it include Dropdown list and many other specialities. So its possible only by PDF.

Releasing a form into nal (problems when sizing)

Hi ,
I recently released a form into a nal user group. The users are having problems viewing the whole form as their windows nal setting is 800/600 , however the form was developed at 1000/700. I have entered the command :
Set_Window_Property(forms_mdi_window ,WINDOW_STATE,MAXIMIZE);, which i assumed would always maximise the form to the enclosing window and environment in the when_new_form_instance trigger, however the users still cannot see the whole form when it maximises in their environment unless they tab across. Does anyone have any hints tips on how to set the from to have portability in such situations.

Looks like your canvases are larger than the 800*600 screen.
Changing the window size does zoom any canvas, so you have
to make your canvases smaller.

Changes in the Payment program Form for Checks

SAP Experts,
Issue: The Form for printing checks is not printing correctly. When there is an Overflow of Invoices from the first page (> 14) the check is voided on the first page and the invoice data overflows to the next page which is fine, but the company logo does not print on the check and also the check info is printed below the check section (colored portion) Can some one please guide me how I can find the logo file/text and insert it in the right area. I am NOT an abaper and we dont have an abaper here to fix this. Please give me all the relevant transactions (other than SE71) to make changes on the Check payment Form. I will promptly reward with points for any relevant answers.

Is it possible to change the recipient of a form based on the info that was filled? for example
checkbox A is selected -> form emailed to recipient A
checkbox B is selected -> form emailed to recipient B

Now when I click on these the function should be called.

Change description of Bex Workbook in 2004s

How do we change description of the workbooks? Change description option from Bex analyzer is not available.
How would one move or copy a query / workbook from a role to another role ( There was an option with 3.5 in Bex browser and Bex Analyzer)
Option of saving a workbook and query to a role from Bex Analyzer > Open screen is not available
