The operating system is Windows NT 4.0
I need help in order to uninstall oracle & install it into new directory,because when installation runs i always seen E:\directory which is written disable one can't change the previously written directory..
Can anyone answer me in detail soon..thanks
do tell me all the steps of removing oracle completely from computer

Hi Khalid,
I did face the same problem removing Oracle 8.0.5. Even on installing some sub-dir and files would remain. i.e, the system dose not allow you to delete some files.
I disabled all the Oracle related services from the servises screen and then deleted the ORANT dir.
This cleaned my drive of any oracle files. Then I installed the Oracle 8i on the machine.
Hope this will be of some help to you.

  • How do you change the directory location from the hieachy window.

    Our DAQ system consists of 285 vi's. During development changes, some vi's were created and passed to the DAQ via a LAN connection. Pulling up the vi's at the DAQ has changed the desired path such that some come from the LAN virtual drive, while others are resident on the DAQ PC. All have been copied to the PC's hard drive. Viewing the LabView hiearchy, how do I change the directory for a few individual vi's to point at only the PC harddrive? I saw this done once, but forgot how and cannot easy find it in the help files.

    When this happens to me I temporarily disconnect the network drive or rename the network folder to force LabVIEW to do a search. If they're all in the same folder as the main VI, they'll be found automatically.

  • How can I change the directory in which I install oracle-xe-universal?

    Because I need to install it into my ssd which is mounted in the other directory.
    I know I can install the rpm package by relocate the root, but it won't work.
    Where I can just change the directory where to install the oracle-xe?
    Thanks a lot.
    Best rgds,

    Kay,
    If you are looking at the entire music library ("Music") you can sort by any of the columns by clicking the column header.  If there is a column you can't see, enable it by going to View > View Options.
    Within a playlist, you can do the same, and in addition you can click above the column of sequence numbers, which will then allow you to drag tracks up or down to get any order you wish.

    Hi,
    Most of the instructions you have mentioned , already was configured.

    And even I changed them from System Properties >> Advanced >>  Environment Variable under User variable for Administrator and System variables , the problem still exist Os User and Group Check .
    I attach the conf_VIS.txt file because I thought it may help.

    Actually I am not sure about the rapid install patch version but I have download the EBS R12 from the following link and I think it contains the recent installer version

    Note If you still can not open the link just suggest a suitable file hosting and I will upload to you. here I used 4shared and hoped it suits you.

  • How to change the delay for a specific message

    Hi,
    I need to change the delay for an specific message, So how can I consume message by JMSCorrelationID which is enqueued with delay?
    I am using Java and Oracle.JMS classes.
    This a sample code of the deque method
    public BasicAQData dequeue(int insId)
    try
         String usr = dbUtil.getCurrentUser();
         AQjmsStreamMessage stream_message = null;
         int id = 0;
         int priority = 0;
         int destino = 0;
         String selector = null;
         String instanceId = String.valueOf(insId);
         BasicAQData dd = new BasicAQData();
         queue = q_sess.getQueue(usr, queue_name);
         selector = "JMSCorrelationID = '"+instanceId+"'";
         receptor = q_sess.createReceiver(queue, selector);
         stream_message = (AQjmsStreamMessage)receptor.receive(sleeptime);
         if (stream_message == null) return null;
         id = stream_message.readInt();
         priority = stream_message.readInt();
         destino = stream_message.readInt();
         stream_message.clearBody();
         dd.setId(id);
         dd.setPriority(priority);
         dd.setDestino(destino);
    return dd;
    It returns the desired message if that is available; however it returns null if the message was enqueued with delay and isn4t still available.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Glenn,
    Messages enqueued with a delay can be dequeued by specifying message id. In your example,
    you can dequeue the message with message_id, change the delay and enqueue the message again.
    Thanks,
    Brajesh.

    Impossible to change the Fontsize for a Radiogroup(with Submit).
    I have a Menue displayed from a Query like (select menue_title, id from lov_tabel)

    The problem is, i've not been able to change the font size.
    What i' have tried.
    - Change the color works if i change "+Page Item"-> Element -> HTML Table Celle Attributes+ to
    style="font-size:1.2em; color:#CC00CC" I see the new color but NO change in font-size.
    - If change in Application-> Shared Components-> Templates
    copy the Template "Reports Region" to "MenueReport",
    then change on "MenueReport"->Template
    value to      <table class="t6ReportsRegion" id="#REGION_STATIC_ID#" #REGION_ATTRIBUTES# summary=""

         I see a new color but NO font-size will be changed!
    - I have changed the query to     SELECT  ' <font size="4">' || rt_name as x, rt_nr  FROM report_types order by rt_nr     But there is NO change of font size, and the Tag <font size= .. is deprecated.
    Used Version is Apex apex_030200 with Firefox 3.5.5 Windows.
    After all this failed attempts, i have no idea how to change the font for page to a larger size.
    Can anyone help me and explain how to change the font size in Apex for a Radiogroupe?
    Thanks in advanced

    Assign a [static region ID|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14373_01/appdev.32/e11838/ui.htm#sthref1438] to the region containing the radiogroup.
    Place the following code in the HTML Header page property, replacing static-region-id with the ID given to the region:
    <style type="text/css">
    #static-region-id label {
      font-size:1.2em;
    </style>after that how do we need to call this css
    and does it need to be called within the Region HTML table cell attributes of a region or in the HTML Form Element Attributes of the radio group items
    >
    CSS isn't "called". Learn how [themes, templates|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14373_01/appdev.32/e11838/themes.htm#CJABAEIE] and CSS are used to control the appearance of APEX applications.

  • Change of UID for Oracle user  - Impact

    If change of UID for Oracle user in solaris will affect the database which is already running. Wil it have any impact for the databases?
    Guys please advise.
    Thnx,

    Many thanks for the response. We are not changing the UID but there are some errors in the script related to file permissions. So just wanted to know will it have any impact on the database if we change the UID.

  • Why inconsistency in the naming of the directory for OVD?

    Hello,
    A consulting firm installed OVD for our company and the directory for the 2 nodes were set up as follows:
    cd /u01/app/oracle/Middleware/ovd_inst1/diagnostics/logs/OVD/ovd1
    cd /u01/app/oracle/Middleware/ovd_inst2/diagnostics/logs/OVD/ovd1
    On the first node, the directory was named ovd_inst1 and down into the logs directory, the subdirectory was named ovd1.
    For consistency why wasn't the second node logs directory named ovd2? Instead it was named ovd1.
    When I asked the consultant who did the installation/configuration, I was told he was not given an option by oracle to name the logs directory on the second node as ovd2.
    Is this correct?
    When I compared the installation/configuration to the one done for OID, this is what I noticed.
    /u01/app/oracle/Middleware/oid_inst1/diagnostics/logs/OID/oid1
    /u01/app/oracle/Middleware/oid_inst2/diagnostics/logs/OID/oid2
    Why can't we make the OVD installation/configuration naming the same way as OID?
    Thanks

    no, you should be able to handle these instances thru 'Oracle Process Manager Control' opmnctl in parallel, example:
    To start the first Oracle Virtual Directory component, use the following:
    $ORACLE_INSTANCE/bin/opmnctl startproc ias-component=ovd1
    $ORACLE_INSTANCE/bin/opmnctl startproc ias-component=ovd2
    To start all Oracle Virtual Directory components, use the following:
    $ORACLE_INSTANCE/bin/opmnctl startproc process-type=OVD
    maybe he did registration into both nodes for the same ovd hostname, so it will show into logs only values of one host.
    Example of registration process:
    Execute the opmnctl registerinstance command on both OVDHOST1 and OVDHOST2:
    ORACLE_INSTANCE/bin/opmnctl registerinstance -adminHost WLSHostName -adminPort
    WLSPort -adminUsername adminUserName
    For example, on OVDHOST1 and OVDHOST2:
    ORACLE_INSTANCE/bin/opmnctl registerinstance -adminHost idmhost1.mycompany.com
    -adminPort 7001 -adminUsername weblogic
    Command requires login to weblogic admin server (idmhost1.mycompany.com)
    Username: weblogic
    Password: *******
    I hope this helps,
    Thiago Leoncio.

  • SQL Server 2012 Change Data Capture for Oracle by Attunity support for Oracle 12

    I would like to know if there are any plans for SQL Server 2012 Change Data Capture for Oracle by Attunity to support versions of Oracle 12 and if by when.

    I have asked from the author of

  • Can i change the location for backup in my widows 7 ?

    How can i change the location for the bacup in my windows 7?Thanks.

    First, make sure iTunes isn't running
    Now, move the C:\Users\(yourname)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\ folder to your preferred location. My was F:\iTunesMobileSync. This is up to you.
    Finally, start a command prompt as an administrator. You can do this from the Start Menu, type cmd.exe, then right click and select Run As Administrator. From the command prompt, create an junction point as I do below, just change f:\yournewfolder with your new location.One thing to to make sure of, don't end up with a folder like f:\yournewbackupfolder\Backup\Backup, so be sure to check how your folders ended up when you moved them.
    mklink /J "C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup" "f:\yournewfolder\Backup"
    You should see something like this in Windows 7. Note the little "shortcut" overlay icon? That's saying this is a link.
    You can also confirm it with dir from the command line. Note the <junction>:
    C:\Users\Scott\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync>dir
    Directory of C:\Users\Scott\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync
    11/25/2011  10:10 PM    <DIR>          .
    11/25/2011  10:10 PM    <DIR>          ..
    11/25/2011  10:10 PM    <JUNCTION>     Backup [f:\iTunesMobileSync\Backup]
                   0 File(s)              0 bytes
                   3 Dir(s)  97,594,851,328 bytes free
    If you are still on XP and not Vista or Windows 7, you don't have mklink, but you can use the junction utility in the same way.
    This works.

  • Change port number for Oracle Microsoft Transaction Services - How????

    Hi All,
    I reasonably new to this DBA role and was doing an install of Oracle 9i on a new server, (only done an Oracle install about 3 times). Our senior DBA was out so when the screen came up asking for the port to use for MTS I couldn't remember if I should take the default (2030) or put something different in there, so I IM'ed our senior DBA and he told me to use 1521, (our listener port), by mistake. So when I finally get Oracle installed and runing I can't use 1521 with the listener as it tells me it is already being used. I know we don't have to use 1521, but I would like to so we are consistent. In order to use 1521 I need to change the port for MTS back to 2030.
    I've searched and searched and since we don't use MTS I cannot figure out where to change the port back to 2030. If someone could tell me in simple steps how to change this it would be really really appreciated.
    Thanks
    Gordon

    If operating system is windows then open registry, find oracle under local system/software,then find oracle MTS in right side u will see word "port"
    right click and modify its value as req

  • HT201361 Can I change the directory where screen capture saves the png files?

    hi:
    screen capture questions:
    1) Can I change the directory/place where the macbook (maverick osx) screen capture it putting the png/images?
    Currently it is going to my desktop and I would like it in another spot.
    2) Can I change the default name to include a number e.g so each screen capture increments by 1 rather than telling sequence by time?
    thankyou

    If you use the Grab.app in Applications/Utilities, you can name the file whatever you want and place it whereever you want. Filenames are not automatically incremented, however.
    The disadvantage is that it saves the capture only in .tiff format, not .png
    But double-clicking on the saved .tiff file will open it in Preview.app, and you can then Option+Save As in .png format in that same folder, or elsewhere.
    Grab.app has some other nice features too, such as selecting a cursor shape to be displayed (or none), and doing a timed screen capture.
    And of course there are other apps...

  • Change the Database for configured Repositories

    Hi,
    I have already configured the Master and the Work Repositories for ODI during Installation.
    However, the database has changed. Is there any way to change the configurations for the repositories so that it points to the new database?
    Thanks in Advance for the help.
    Akshatha

    What do you mean by "changed" ? is the database on a new host ? has it been renamed ? If the database has simply moved you just need to update the repository connection information within ODI studio. If you need to actually migrate the repository to another database you can use Oracle data pump to move the required schemas across. If you have a new master/work repository installed in a new database you can then use ODI export/import tools as mentioned in the previous post.
    Cheers,
    Tom

  • Need to change the directory using the java program

    hi,
    can anyone give me the code to change the directory in the java program by using the system command.
    as in C where we use the system call system("cd");
    the same way how to do that in java. please help me with that!!!

    Please search the forums for "runtime.exec", there are dozens of examples posted.
    Although this may not do you any good, since changing the os's directory is not likely to change anything you're using in Java. What are you trying to do?
