  • HT4101 I am trying to get pictures from my I phone to my I pad with the camera connection kit but nothing happens on any of the devices help anyone

I am trying to connect my I phone to my I pad so I can import pictures from one to the other but neither one seems to react to this connection. How should I proceed?

The Camera Connection Kit USB component attaches to the iPad and the iPhone connects to this through the USB cable. The iPad should recognize the iPhone as a Camera ans show the photos on the iPhone. You can then import the photos you want.
    Other ways to do this:
You can directly transfer photos and videos via WiFi between iPhone, iPad, PCs, and Macs with an App like Photo Transfer.
    See: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/photo-transfer-app-easily/id365152940?mt=8
Or you can upload the photos and videos to the Dropbox service using the Dropbox App on the iPhone, iPad, PC, or Mac and download them to the another device using the Dropbox App on that device.

  • TS1559 trouble connecting my Sony Ericsson Xperia arcs phone to my i pad 3

hi can anyone Please  tell me why my ipad 3 will not connect to my Sony Ericson Arcs phone avia blue tooth as i have never had troble connecting it before to other things before.
its dam well ******* me off.
    regards ian

Because iPad was never designed to connect to a phone via Bluetooth.  If your phone has a tethering option, you can contact your carrier to turn on tethering, but it is only designed to provide a 3G signal to permit you to use the phone as an internet hotspot.  Otherwise, it's not possible to connect a phone to iPad via Bluetooth.
ETA:  Bluetooth on iPad was designed only to connect Bluetooth devices, such as Keyboard, Headphones and Speakers.  Nothing else.

  • HT201317 How do I get photos from my I phone onto my I pad? Photo stream seems to be transferring from my I pad to phone but not the other way round.

How do I get photos from my I phone onto my I pad? Photo stream works I pad to I phone but not the other way round?

Photostream only syncs photos over Wi-Fi, make sure you are connected to Wi-Fi to begin with.
Photostream only syncs when the camera app is closed, ensure it is closed.
Photostream only syncs when the battery is above 20%, try recharging the device
Try disabling photo stream on your device (settings > iCloud), restarting your device and then re-enabling photo stream.
If this doesn't help you may need to reset photo stream. You can do this at icloud.com by clicking on your name in the top right corner and then the advanced settings in the pop-up dialogue box that appears.
Note: disabling photostream and re-enabling it will result in any photos that are currently in the photostream album on your device, that are older than 30 days old, not being added back.

  • Jabber for iPhone & iPad too long to connect to "Phone Services"

    Hello,
Has anybody ever experienced delay issues with Jabber for iPhone and/or iPad to connect to "Phone Services"?
In my case, the service does connect but it can take about 1 minute. Some times it can be faster but some others it can take a while to make the service available.
    Regards,

You've hit the nail on the head with your last sentence, though to me a month (and then another) to wait for a new line is nothing - I am on my fifth order with BT. They lost the first three, then tried charging me an arm and a leg in excess charges for the fourth. I am trying again, this time with a total package to see if they are a bit more useful when they actually know I'm not going to switch to another provider - fingers crossed.
If they do come back with massive excess charges again though this time I've done my homework. I now know the measurements between my property and the pole as well as the BT price list they use to calculate the charges. I've also worked out a cheaper route than the one they were suggesting - Ofcom say they should offer the cheapest route and the opportunity for the customer to do some of their own work but with me they didn't do either. They also didn't consider that we don't have reliable mobile signal here. They also didn't provide me with any details of how they'd come to that figure and just demanded it. I've had lots of advice from DEFRA, the Department for Business, Innopvation and Skills, Ofcom and ex-Openreach planners and should be able to get a line under the USO. I have a horrible feeling that I've done all this homework now though and they'll just come out and do it without demanding the excess, but if they do I am at least ready this time.

  • Can't download any apps off my phone, Tablet dos not connect to phone

Someone please help me, cause I am honestly about to loose my mind. I have a Torch and I've only had it for a year now and all my services arent working, I'm considering switching to an IPhone if I can't figure this all out today.
So first problem I'm trying to buy one single app off app world billing threw Roger's Canada and it keeps saying there was some error, I looked it up on the website and apperently you just have to switch to debit or paypal, I don't like using online payment methods like that why can't I just get it on my bill? Either way they get the money, I don't see how its so difficult to just bill threw my service provider. I also have no time to call them and tell them all I want to order,  I just want ONE $1.99 app, I'm not going to sit on the phone for 20 minutes+ for one app, then have to do it again when I want another app. I have been trying to buy the same one app for about 2 months now, seriously I just want to buy the app and get it over with how is that so hard? I want to bill threw my Service Provider it takes two seconds to put it on my bill.
Next problem, the blackberry bridge on my phone/tablet has just stopped working and disappeared. I paid $500 for this tablet that I was advised not to buy because Blackberry was "going down the whole" so much for having faith in the company, this thing is a peice of junk. And apperently so is my phone, again how is it all the sudden my bridge disappeared? I can't connect my phone to it now? So why didn't I just get a cheaper tablet that could do the exact same things??? I don't know if these are new problems in the system or something but I have been trying to hook up my phone to this tablet for a while it used to work then I upgraded the software and now its gone and I've tried everything its just not coming back. Like I don't understand, why would you not put the Blackberry Bridge in the updated version? And why is it deleted off my phone? Then when I try to re-install it, it says its still there.
Very disappionted in Blackberry right now, nothing on my phone is working and it seems I'm not the only one.

Well, I can't tell...has it been working fine for a year, and this suddenly started? If so, what happened just before this behavior started? Undo that to see if it helps. If it's not been working at all for a year, well...I'm not sure how to reply to that...you must have great patience indeed, though.

Oh how I do wish you'd have given us the actual error message...otherwise, you leave us guessing...but, in short, each carrier decides if they will allow carrier billing or not. It's their choice to do so, or not. I've no idea if Rogers allows it or not.
Also, if you are part of a BES environment, it's possible your BES admins have restricted carrier billing...they, too, have the right to do whatever they must to enforce company policies. But, again, without details, this remains just another guess.

I completely disagree with your opinions there...but no matter, they are indeed opinions. There are plenty of people who are getting quite a bit of good use out of both types of devices.

Well, once again, the lack of details makes it pretty difficult to diagnose. "I can't connect" is pretty useless as far as symptom descriptions go. For instance, what exact steps do you attempt? What exactly happens with each step? Any error messages? If so, once again, the complete and accurate error message is critical to helping you.

It's a free market place, you are free to do whatever you desire. But, ranting here isn't perhaps the best way to seek help from kind volunteers... Plus, you've spent quite a bit of effort on your rants, but have left out the details that perhaps might have more quickly guided us to useful help for you...

Again, "tried everything" isn't terribly useful to us...we aren't clairvoyant... Have you tried completely removing the pairing of the two devices and re-configuring them from scratch? Also, what software did you upgrade? Your BB OS? Your PB? From what version(s) to what version(s)? Did you re-install the Bridge from scratch?
    samm1234 wrote:
    Like I don't understand,
And, from your lack of details and clarity, neither do we...
    samm1234 wrote:

Updated version of what? BB Bridge is an add-on app, not used by everyone. As such, including it inside the core apps would be a waste of AppMemory for those who do not need it.
    samm1234 wrote:
And why is it deleted off my phone?
Well, you did some kind of upgrade or update, but since we don't know yet exactly what that was, we can only guess. And my guess is that you somehow updated your BB OS, and as such, you need to re-install all of your add-on apps. It is ALWAYS better to reinstall add-on apps when you upgrade the OS...some may not be compatible with the new OS you have installed. Some may have a different version for the OS you installed. Plus, reinstalling add-ons is always better so as to be sure that they are properly installed after such a major update of the BB OS.

That's interesting...but, again, the exact message it presents is always more helpful. Check here, though:

Anyway, lots of clarification is needed from you if we're to do anything but WAG.

Unplug iphone > open itunes > delete all music from itunes library > close itunes > re-open itunes > add music from original folder > plug in iphone > select songs > press sync > unplug iphone using eject button onscreen > checked phone .... still nothing in music folder on phone. On itunes the "On this iphone" tab the songs remain there but greyed out.

I want to use an old 3 GS iPhone that is no longer in service as a phone now as just an iPod to play music. When I connect the phone to the computer with iTunes running, iTunes says it can't connect to the device because it didn't get a valid response from the device. How can I get the system to recognize the phone, and let me rename it as my iPod, instead of my phone?
As an aside, the current installed operating system on this old iPhone is 4.2.1, but that wasn't one of the selectable options in the operating system list dropdown below. Don't know if that makes any difference.

No, it does not.  It transfers purchases from the iDevice to the computer.  The computer must be authorized for the Apple ID that the content was acquired with.

Are they selected to sync?  Is Manually Manage content on the device selected?

What does that have to do with syncing content to the device?  FYI, nothing.

  • When I connect my phone to my comp it tells me that there's an update to iOS 4.3.3, when I try to actually do the update it goes so far and says that it cannot back up my phone because it's disconnected, when nothing's been touched to dc it.

I've been trying to update my phone to iOS 4.3.3 like it tells me to when I connect my phone to my computer, and it goes so far, then I get an error box (no error number) with a message telling me that my phone can't be backed up because it's disconnected. Now I know I've touched nothing to disconnect it, everything else is working fine, I just CANNOT get my phone to back up. I called Apple and my phone support expired 10 days ago (go figure!!) Anyone else run into this and find a way to get it to work? He got me to delete the backup that was on my system to see if that helped...nothing.

    Hi,
What is your current computer and OS? It looks as though your iphone is not compatible with your computer.

  • Can I access my backup contacts on my mac somewhere whithout actually connecting the phone?

    Hi,
I have a problem. Me an my boyfriend had to share the same apple id and the same macbook to connect our phones to. Now, for some strange reasons after backing up in iCloud. My boyfriend's contacts are all gone. iCloud backup still shows two different backup folders for the two seperate phones but I don't know how to see the content or don't know if that is possible at all. The question is, how can we get his contacts back? He is in another country and cannot connect his phone to the mac. I just hope now, after iCloud messed it up, that the contacts are still saved from the last backup he did on the mac itself (via iTunes). Is there a way to see then on the mac without connecting the phone?
    Thank you all,
    Julia

Hi I think I have a solution.  I just purchased one of these amazing little phones this week and had the same issue, and I too was about to throw it out the door and revert to my old Noika 6120....I was also following the adivce above but no luck.  Then fortunately I came across this feature....
Select  'Contacts' and you will see at the very top of the screen a little white bar with the word 'Contacts' in it, it also has a little drop down arrow to the right.  Use you navigation buttons to get you up to that little bar, when you are there it will highlight (my comes up in blue) then you have the choice of either 'Contacts' (refers to the Ovi info) or 'Phone' (refers to the 'old fashioned' list of contacts that we have all been looking for.  Select 'Phone'.  This will then allow the features that are mentioned in the discussions above to be activated.  Follow those instructions to make this 'Phone' list premanently displayed on your phone, but the instructions given above will work now.
Hopes this helps, now I am so happy with new little phone, its fantastic!  Love it!
    Cheers all
