To create req for new BOM component

hello all,
i confirm the order and now i need to add one more component to the header material for the same order.
how can i create requirement for new BOM component.
what i done is i 1st cancel the confirmation. then go for read PP mater data. after that should i run the MRP for header material to create planned order for new BOM component?

Dear,
If you have execute any transaction like GI confirmation then read PP master data will not work.
Best way you can cancel the confirmation and reveres the good issue by 262 movement type. Then do TECO to the order all reservation get deleted.
Then update the BOM with new component and run MRP with planning mode-3 delete and recreated. It will create planned order then convert it to production and go ahead.

I can able to give only upto 3 decimal points, but the requirement is more than that.
I have increased the Decimal point value to 5 in transaction Code CUNI. but still it is allowing me to enter only upto three decimal places.

You would be better off changing the base quantity of the parent part. Instead of "1 EA parent contains .00003MG of component" you could say "100 EA parents contain .003MG of component".
Alternately, you could use different units of measure for your parent or component parts, which would be more suitable for the 3 place decimal limitation.
I agree with Anil in that if you elect to change the decimals from standard, you could end up with huge changes that will propagate through every module in the ERP. In my view, there is no need of this kind of headache.

How to create console for new domain

I created new domain according to the steps given under creating new domain in
documentation of 6.1, Can any one help me how to get console activated for this
new domain .At present it is not able to get the console for this domain even
though in log files it shows console.war is deployed.

Please follow the exact steps given in the following document to create a new
Domain:

Also, if you have done so, please check if a directory called .wlstaging is created
in the new domain directory that is created. This directory has the console.war
file.
This is automatically created by the WLS when creating a new domain.

Time Machine can't create space for new backups

For a couple of weeks my backups are failing. (Time Machine couldn't complete backup to "Time Machine Backups". The backup disk needs 156 GB for the backup but only 138 GB are available. Select a larger backup disk or make the backup smaller by excluding files.) I thought Time Machine was supposed to delete the oldest backups to make room for new ones? Thanks for your help.

It will delete the oldest backups, but when you have already deleted all of those, there will come a time when you will just run out of space.
If you don't think you should be at that point, tbirdvet is likely correct.

Create report with Assembly BOM component

Hi,
I have a customer who uses Assembly BOM in his delivery and invoice.
In this assembly BOM are some component that they want to see in an report. But in the deliverie you don't see the component items in the line
Is there somebody who can tell me where i can found these items when delivery is made in an SAP table?
Or is there allready an query which give me an overview
I found out somethings myself.

As the sales item is a non-inventory item, the quantity value taken from the DLN14 would not give you that value.
I tried to create a query which actually links the table of the BOM and the BOM rows. Please check the following :
SELECT DocNum, T1.CardCode,T1.CardName, T3.ItemCode,T4.ItemName, t6.quantity from ODLN T1
INNER JOIN DLN1 T2 ON T1.DocEntry = T2.DocEntry

I was not able to test it. Please check and update the thread or may be you can further customize and see if the same works.

Unable to create query for new dataset

Something weird has happened to our BI Publisher application in production. It was working fine, we could create reports and datasets and templates just fine.
Now all of a sudden when we create a new report and a new dataset the Data Set screen is no longer displaying. When we edit existing reports the Data Set screen does not display either.
Has anyone experienced this problem. We are running 10.1.3.2 in production. Our test instance was just upgraded to the 10.1.3.4 ear file on our old 10.1.3.1 Oracle Application Server.
We just now noticed it because we were going to upgrade the old 10.1.3.2 ear with the 10.1.3.4 ear like we did in test. Now we are worried that about upgrading production.

Created mailbox for new user in Exchange 2010, user not visible in AD.

Hi everyone!
This morning I created a mailbox for a new user on my Exchange 2010 box.
Everything works fantastically but I am unable to view the new user in AD except by searching. If I run a search the results say the user exists in my Users container, and I can view the properties of the user account from the search results, but I
am unable to actually see the user profile object in the Users container.
I notice in EMC that the mailbox has a user icon on the mailbox icon instead of the regular standard icon - I'm not sure what this implies.
Can anyone offer some advice as to why this happens and how to resolve it?

AD objects store in the Domain partition Database.
Its replication Scope is :Domain Wide
Its replication model is: Multi Master
There are two possible cause.
1. AD replication latency if you have several DCs.
You could wait for AD replication or force replication, Click
refresh on ADUC.
2. You create the new user
in other OU, not Users.
You could run this command to get
the user’s DistingushedName attribution.
Get-mailbox –identity

How to create service for new database

i am working on 8i.i want to create new database instead of existing for which first service have to create.i had created parameter file and perform changes,now with oradim i am trying to create service but it is giving incorrect version bcaz i have win2000 and oradim works with winnt only.

Creating Properties for News.

I have created a News iView using XML Form Builder.
I have also created a Property in the Property Metadata with multiple values.I am using this property to populate a combo box on my News authoring iView.
The Problem is that when i set the Folder Path for the Property that i have created to anything other than "/*" or "/documents/*" , the values which are contained in the Property do not get populated in the combo box.
If i set the Folder Path of the Property to "/*" or "/documents/*" then i get to see the Property values in the combo box.
I want to know how i could get the values in my Property ,that i have created,populate my combo box on my news creation Form when i set the Folder path of the Property to ,for eg. "/documents/s1/s2/s3".

When you create a metadata you must define among other things:
1. Group: you group similar metadatas, and then in your form builder project (left of your screen) appear this group. In this way you can drag and drop over your object.
2. Folder Validity Patterns
If you have already made an entry in the parameter Document Validity Patterns but do not want to use a Folder Validity Pattern, remove the default entry / from the input field.
Notation:
/ and /** : The property is valid for the specified folder and all subfolders.
/* : The property is only valid for the specified folder.
/runtime/** : The property is valid for the runtime repository and its subfolders

Is it possible for creation of an approval query such that while creation of New Business Partner:
if
a user forgets to add data in a field say TIN No. which is present in Tax Information,
then
the Business Partner Creation is withheld and sent for approval .
Can someone please help me with creation of such an approval procedure ?

Sorry to say there is no way to create an approval template on master data (BP, item, etc). However, we once had a similar problem and used the Alert Management to catch critical information that was missing during the creation process. Everyone had to enter a credit limit with no exceptions. I do not have the exact SQL in front of me, but it went something like this...
Very simple...
SELECT
T0.CardCode,
T0.CardName,
T0.CreditLine
FROM OCRD T0
WHERE
T0.CreditLine IS NULL
Then we set an Alert Message to go off every minute and sent it to the Accounting Department. Although it did not STOP them from adding the Business Partner, it sure did give someone the heads up to call the person who created it after looking at the Change Log. Sort of a compromise...maybe that helps you???

Req for new s/w platform upgrade

many of asha 311 are asking for full software upgrade i.e from DP2.0 to ASP1.0x . With humble req to nokia s/w developers pls provide software upgrade to ASP1.0 x
look asha 311 is a high end fone with good hard ware but do not have perfect suitable sw thats new ASP1.0x it has good memory as compared to asha 500 series .
As we all know that asha 500 series has very less internal memory ram and rom. But still they are equipped with asp1.0x . If we install it on asha 311 it will sell more fast like hot cakes and more than its brother asha 500 series . And will have very good speed .
DP 2.0 is just a bulk of useless sw .
So pls provide ASP1.0x as next sw update pls pls pls

From the Set KPI page you can only select already existing metrics from the underlying PAS model that has been associated with the context you selected.
To create metrics in the PAS model there are several options ( ranking according to my personal preferences ):
1-Use the BICA page, http://<server>:<port>/strategy/bi, options Create Scorecard Metrics and Define Virtual Measures.
Your PAS model needs to have the suffix PBI for you to be able to use it in BICA. I usually copy the PAS model file in the Home folder, give it a name ending in PBI and then in PAS issue the command SUP ADD DAT newmodelPBI. Then change your model connection to point to this new model and restart JPIP.
2-Use Cubebuilder, http://<server>:<port>/strategy/cubebuilder. Great option if you are creating a new model from scratch. Also perfect for creating new dimensions, which you can reuse across different PAS models by copying them in PAS (use drag & drop). If you want to add a new metric to an already existing model you cannot do it directly with cubebuilder, although you can export the metric and import to the new model. (See PAS Help for SNAPSHOT and DUMP instructions).
3-Create metrics Manually in PAS. You can directly use commands in PAS to create metrics and define/change their properties (see PAS Help for the CREATE MEASURE command).
When integrating with other systems there is the possibility to import metrics and create KPIs in easy to use interfaces. You have this for Risk Management, BW and BPC.

Creating Dependency for Material BOM

hi,
i have created a material bom using BAPI_MATERIAL_BOM_GROUP_CREATE. this bom has three line items in which the 3rd line item has a dependency for it. the dependency value is V29.
please let me know how to add a dependency to a material bom item, while creating a material bom using BAPI_MATERIAL_BOM_GROUP_CREATE?
is there any other function module to maintain the dependency after the material bom is created?
i have tried CSAP_MAT_BOM_OPEN, CSAP_BOM_ITEM_MAINTAIN and CSAP_MAT_BOM_CLOSE. but i couldn't succeed.
can anyone please let me know how to use these FM's for my case?

BAPI_MATERIAL_BOM_GROUP_CREATE cannot be used to create object dependency.
once the bom is created using the above function module, use...
CSAP_MAT_BOM_OPEN, CSAP_BOM_ITEM_MAINTAIN and CSAP_MAT_BOM_CLOSE
...to create OD individually for each line item.
