"to do" automation help, please

Question

I'm tired of having to go through the whole trouble of having to add an alarm and then tell it what kind, same day at 9:00 am, etc. every time I create a to do. I wish this could be automated somehow, but it doesn't look like automator will do it. any suggestions?

Try this script. Feel free to modify it. Watch out - there is no error handling! Save it in ~/Library/Scripts and you can run it from the menu bar's script menu.
