'To do' list automatically scrolls up when I click on another iCal pane

Hi,
I've just begun using iCal, so forgive me if this topic has been covered before. (I did a search, but since I don't know how to describe the problem succinctly I didn't get any results.)
Here goes. Whenever I'm in the 'To Do' pane, say mid-way down the list, and then click the calendar pane my 'To Do' list automatically scrolls up to the top. When I go back to the 'To Do' pane and pull the list down to where I want to be and click on the item that I want to update, the list once again automatically scrolls to the top and I have to pull the list down one more time before I can alter it. It's very annoying and I can't find a way to fix it.
Any suggestions?

I can confirm this function. Also I wasn't able to find anyway for it to not do this.

If it works in a new window then you can drags tabs from the not working window to that new window.
You can also try to close the tabs via Ctrl+W and restore the closed tabs via Shift+Ctrl+T

You installed a hacked app, originally from the Mac App Store. It contains the receipt for a different app, downloaded using an account that you don't control. You need to identify and remove the hacked app.
Important: The app you need to remove is not necessarily the one named in the App Store notice. For example, if the App Store says you need to update "Twitter," the hacked app may be "Angry Birds" or something else entirely. Don't make any assumptions about which app you're looking for. To find it, you have to carry out a systematic search.

Just loaded iCloud on my mac. When i click on my ical in my dock, it will not let me edit. It says I need admin. rights.

I just upgraded to Lion 10.7.2 so I could use Icloud. However, I am having a problem with the calendar synching.(I am using an iphone). When I click on the ical at the bottom of my screen, it will not let me edit anything. It says I need administrator rights. When I go to the wwwicloud on the web, that calendar is synched. How can I sync and edit in my ical that came with the computer?

10.6.8 here, MacBook Pro. Comcast. Mail freeze ups. Occasional warnings to use "Log Out" under the Apple icon.
Disk Repair run several times. Shows lots of Java "remote" issues.

HT3149 iPhoto 09 When I click on the preview pane to move a photo into edit, it shows up black and the edit buttons are not active. How do I fix that?

When I click on the preview pane to move a photo into the edit pane, there is no image just a black square and the edit buttons are not active. A few images in an event will move to the edit pane but most will not. I cannot work with those images that do not enter the edit pane..no attaching to email, make a card, slideshow, etc.

There are several possible causes for the Black Screen issue
1. Permissions in the Library: Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Include the option to check and repair permissions.
2. Minor Database corruption: Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild.
3. A Damaged Photo: Select one of the affected photos in the iPhoto Window and right click on it. From the resulting menu select 'Show File (or 'Show Original File' if that's available). (On iPhoto 11 this option is under the File -> Reveal in Finder.) Will the file open in Preview? If not then the file is damaged. Time to restore from your back up.
4. A corrupted iPhoto Cache: Trash the com.apple.iPhoto folder from HD/Users/Your Name/Library/ Caches...
5. A corrupted preference file: Trash the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the HD/Users/ Your Name / library / preferences folder. (Remember you'll need to reset your User options afterwards. These include minor settings like the window colour and so on. Note: If you've moved your library you'll need to point iPhoto at it again.)
If none of these help:
As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?

Outlook window moves off computer screen to right when I click to expand reading pane - can't reply to emails

Outlook 2010 opens fine. When I click on the reading pane to expand it to full screen it moves off the right of the screen.

For your issue, please follow the steps below to narrow down the root cause:
Try reset view settings for your Outlook. In Outlook 2010, switch to
View tab, click Reset View button in the
Current View group.
Start Outlook with the command line Outlook.exe /resetnavpane, type the command line in the Run window and press Enter.
Start Outlook in safe mode to determine if it could be caused by the 3rd-party add-ins, to do so, type
Outlook.exe /safe in the Run window and press Enter. If the behavior won't occur in safe mode, try disable all the add-ins, and enable them one by one to find which one might cause this problem.

To Do List Automatically Scrolls to the Top when I make any date change

I'm using Palm 6.2.2 at the moment, and I'm finding that Whenever I change the date on any of my To Do List tasks in the desktop software the list automatically jumps/scrolls to the top of the list and it is driving me INSANE. I have a LOT of dated tasks and on a daily basis have to push them forward to other dates. Doing this now takes me forever as I have to rescroll down to the area of tasks I was working on, change the date on the next one then start all over again.
For what it's worth, I just upgraded from a Treo 700p w/Palm 4.something - that version of the Desktop Software did NOT do this.
Anyone else encounter this and know how to fix/avoid it?

Firefox 11.0 has stopped automatically downloading PDFs when I click a link. The Downloads folder is still selected in Preferences.

When I click on a PDF that would normally cause the downloads folder to open, I am instead taken to a blank white webpage and nothing happens.

Zoom problem. Pics automatically zoom in when double clicked. iPhoto 9.5.1

When I double click and open a picture from the photos libraray, they open with a zoom in on only a portion of the picture. When I click/press on Zoom button it reverts picture to original full size image. But once I let go of button it zooms back into corner. Every single pic zooms into the same bottom left hand portion. A navigator box opens that allows me to teframe but once that is closed, it again zooms back into same section.

Try the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete the contents the following folder:
User/Library/Containers/com.apple.iPhoto
3 - reboot, launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: For Mavericks, 10.9, go to your Home folder and use the View ➙ Show View Options menu to bring the this window:
where you can check the Show Library Folder checkbox.
If that fails as a test launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library. Import some photos and test to see if the same problem persists. Does it?

Hi All,
I am having a tough time solving this problem. Please help.
In my application I have a list keeping track of all the
games currently going on. The list keeps getting updated regularly.
What is happening is that whenever I select an item by clicking on
it, in the next update it automatically
gets scrolled to the top. This does not get removed even if I
click anywhere on the stage.
Because of this I am not able to scroll my list properly.
Every few seconds, it goes to the top and I am not able to scroll.
Please help. Any suggestions are welcome.

try this:
every time BEFORE your page get updated
you first save the verticalScrollPosition
var p1:int = list.verticalScrollPosition;
then AFTER your page get updated you set the value back
list.verticalScrollPosition = p1;

Is there a way for me to prevent the entire iTunes list automatically moving up when I've changed a podcast title?

I have a problem with the entire iTunes list being dragged upwards after I've changed the names of the podcasts. It's really annoying, so I was wondering whether anyone knows how to stop that. For some reason, I think I had a similar issue with iTunes 10 and somehow resolved it, but I can't recall how at the moment. Thanks!

You can't avoid that if you drag a link.<br />
If you drag a link to a folder then Firefox doesn't check if the link already exists as this is a way to have multiple copies of a bookmark in addition on to a copy/paste.<br />
To avoid having multiple bookmarks of the same link you would have to click the star on the location bar twice to bookmark the link and subsequently open the Edit This Bookmark dialog.

How can I get a tab to open in an oversize jpg image in its original size with scroll bars when I click on a link?

I have a small program for storing my genealogy names and jpg images of the census pages where each name is found. The images have a thumbnail link that opens in a new tab to view the actual oversized census page. In the new tab the census page is small and not readable. How do I get the jpg image to appear in its original size with schroll bars so I can read the census in the firefox browser without using the zoom feature. It takes several clicks on the zoom to get the image to a readable size and that is time consuming, especially when I have several images opened.

Could I suggest that this feature (the ability to turn off or turn on the auto-resize of images) be part of the Options tab on Firefox? I think it's a setting that some users might want to change fairly often--even toggle back and forth on. It's a little annoying to have to go into about:config every time to do this.
