"To Do" lists on iPhone?

I have been syncing a Palm Pilot with iCal and Mac Address Book. Anyone know how to get a "to do" list on the iPhone?

There is a web based tool called Tadalist (http://www.tadalist.com) that can hold you over until they come up with a REAL (meaninig no connection needed) to do list app that syncs with Outlook.
And if you think we need one, let Apple know.

For iBooks, that won't show, it doesn't support file sharing. You can add ibooks / epubs / PDFs to your computer's iTunes library (the iBooks app if you are using a Mac with OS X Mavericks on it) via File > Add To Library, and you sync them to a device via its Books tab :
If you want to copy them off the device to your computer's iTunes (to the iBooks app on Mavericks) then File > Devices > Transfer Purchases will copy them over (that will copy PDFs and epubs from the iBooks app on your device, not just ibooks).

Use your back up on your mac/PC and re-add your contacts to Address Book or whatever contact software you use.

Video list from Iphone 4 to AppleTV

Hi everyone (sorry for the english, I'm writing from France)
I bought an Apple TV2 and I also have the Iphone4.
Airplay seems really great and works fine for me.
there's only one things:
I bought on Itunes sereval video clips.
I'd like to be able to see the entire list on apple tv2 but after each song (video clip), everything stops and I have to select from my Iphone a new song and select again the apple TV2 by airplay.
Does someone know how to use airplay to see a list of several videos???

When sending email messages from iPhone,iMac, or iPad, email address automatically added to my contacts list on iPhone. How do I trace this down and stop this auto addition of email addresses to my contacts list?

I am not sure what generates the email address as a contact, be it the iPhone or iMac. I use iCloud to sync up my contacts/address book. This appears to happen when I am using Mac Mail on my iMac, but I have no clue where to begin to look to stop this auto addition. I have looked in Mail preferences on my iMac and in my iPhone settings, but have found nothing that "automatically add email address to contacts list".
Can anyone provide guidance? Web search has been fruitless ( I am guessing I am not using the right key words for my search).

Apps missing from use cellular data list in iphone 6

So I got the new iPhone 6...and half of my apps are missing from the "use cellular data" list...those that are missing won't load when I try to open them...they just flash and shut down. I've tried turning off wifi...I've tried resetting the phone...nothing works. What's the point of the phone if you can't use the freaking apps when you aren't connected to wifi?? Anyone else having this problem?? Anyone know how to fix it??

How to delete the Previous Recipients list in iPhone 3G Mail

I would like to delete the list of previous recipients in my iPhone 3G Mail so that when I search it only shows addresses in my Contacts, not every single random address I may have used.
I know how to do this in Mail on my desktop, and I tried the option of replacing the Mail info on the iPhone with the info from the desktop, but it didn't work.
Anyone knows how to do this?

In my expeirence, the only way to do this is to restore your iPhone, setting it up as a new phone. You can try resetting all settings prior to this to see if that does it as well.
To reset all settings, navigate to Settings > General > Reset.

How to view movies As List on iPhone like in iTunes?

Can iPhone act like iTunes when scrolling through my movies?
in iTunes: Movies > View > As List (shows the movies as coverflow, and then below, as a scrollable list)
but,
in iPhone: Movies > View > As List is greyed out.
I am accumulating a lot of movies files now and would appreciate to know if I could use the convenience of List mode, like in iTunes. Currently, I can only view the Movies with the screenshot icons. This makes it a little bit cumbersome to scroll through.

It is not even coverflow, but this crappy scrollable list that is mostly pictures of the "movie." It *****.

A wish list for iPhone 5

I love to hear (and specially be heard by Apple) about iPhone updates. Here is a really cool wishlist for iPhone5 from CNET.

and I have 3 more and please add anything else you find useful:
1. This is one of the features I envy the most of the Windows mobile OS: In "Settings > Accessibility": To be able to re size icons and their names the same way I do setting up "Larger text". "Zoom is just not good enough. AND/OR add Gennie effect to the icons. (is part of OSX dashboard, if you mouse on an icon it zooms out)
It may sound silly, but I know when you think about it you see what a difference in legibility this can make. I rather have 3X4 icons as long as I can see the clearly (Don't have to concentrate so much on the screen)
2. Too much free space wasted in apps grouping. 1. user more screen real-state for when opening a grouping, and 2. Allow for more apps to be added to a grouping
3. Ability to have some degree of iTunes management. for instance, I have sooo much dam music that there is some I really don't like or is dupped. I like to be able to delete it while in the iPhone and update my list when syncing with my iTunes in my Computer at home. (yeah, yeah, its because back when they sell CDs you did not get to choose to buy just the songs you wanted)

Album list for iPhone in iTunes is missing albums from iTunes library

There are albums which appear in my iTunes library but do not appear in the album list for my iPhone while it is connected to iTunes. The albums were recently added by being imported from a CD.
In iTunes, I click on my iPhone to open the menus and options related to syncing the iPhone. Then, I click the tab for music. There are four large boxes: Playlists, Artists, Genres, and Albums. The albums for the CD that I recently imported is not listed in that box. I cannot check the box to have it added to my iPhone.
To circumvent this, I went to my iTunes library, selected the albums, and dragged them over to my iPhone.
While the problem is solved, I don't understand why the album was not listed where it was "supposed" to be.

Sorry to learn your music lost, but let me be suspicious here; iTunes does not delete music by itself.
Given say that, you have lost music. First thing to verify is does your music is deleted from the iTunes Music Folder or is it just removed from the iTunes library.
You should do some search on your hardisk to see if you can actually found the music files. Depending of your iTunes setup, these files could be store at different location. Usually, they should be found in /User/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music/Artist Names. But your could use spotlight to do some research; tell us you could find on your disk any of your lost music!
Beside, there is also a feature in iTunes 7 that let you backup your music to disc if you have a DVD burner, it will take you a few minutes.

After I updated my iphone 4 to ios 7.0.4 not only has my phone lagged terribly, but almost a week since the update my contacts list completely vanished. How can I fix that issue without further damage

So, I guess my iPhone upgraded without me being aware. But nevertheless I am now running iOS 7.0.4.
I've noticed the last few days that I'm encountering sporadic contact disappearance. I'll get a text, the notification shows their name, maybe a few minutes later i'll go to read the full message and now no name, just a number. I'll look and ALL my contacts are gone. the conversation screen has nothing but numbers and the favorites under phone are just numbers. Search can still work by name though so the phone "knows" that joe is 555-5555, but is not showing the connection.
TEMPORARY WORKING FIX:
Turning off contacts in my icloud settings and choosing to delete the contacts on my phone, then re-enabling contacts will pull them all back down for me. This of course takes about 5-10 minutes for everything to sync back to the phone.
I've tried restarting the phone.
I've tried resetting the phone.
I don't feel like wasting my time with a backup unless I can downgrade to something before 7.0.4 as it is obvioiusly buggy.
I am NOT going to set up as a new phone until this becomes a much bigger problem.
I hope this offers insight to others encountering this bug. My mother has had this happen on her phone as well. Please comment at least if you experience this. the more people that have it, the less chance apple can play it off as an isolated event on my phone.

It depends on where is contacts are on his phone. If they are stored locally in the "On My iPHone" account, all he would need to do is go to Settings>iCloud, sign in with his Apple ID to create his account (or sign in with an existing iCloud ID if he already has one) and turn Contact On. They will then upload to his iCloud account.
If they are being synced with an external service such as Gmail, Yahoo, an exchange account, etc., they will have to be copied to his iCloud account in order to sync them with iCloud.
Unless you already know, have him open the contacts app on his phone and tap Groups (if he has any contact groups). Does he have any non-iCloud accounts listed, such as On My iPhone, Gmail, Yahoo or an exchange account? Also have himego to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Account (in the Contacts section). Does he have the Default Account setting in the Contacts section, and if so, what is selected as his default account?
