To Do's Not Showing Up on Published Page
I use iCal to publish a class calendar for the classes I teach. When I publish their calendar to MobileMe it gives me a URL to view the calendar. This is the URL I give to my students. Viewing my calendar through me.com, the calendar comes out great. When I view the URL through mac.com the calendar comes up, but I can't see the To Do list. I use this to post assignments. When I published the calendar I checked the appropriate boxes so that the To Do list would be published, but its not showing up on the public page. Please help.
Hi iFriend,
I don't get your problem. Why not simply using me.com when everything is fine? mac.com will be retired sometime.

The hit counter button does not show up after publishing page.
I insert the hit counter button to a new blog post and when I publish, the button does not show up.
I would really like to use the counter as this is a blog for a class I am teaching, and I would like to track
student viewing.
Also, sometimes the colors do not publish properly, specifically with links/rollover feature.
Help!
And thanks in advance for all you who know wayyy more than I do! I hope to return
the favor someday.First, thanks for the quick response Roddy.
Once I posted the question, similar topics came up and what
I did was remove the hit counter, publish the page without the hit counter.
Then inserted the hit counter again and wah-lah!
Thanks for your reply, this information is correct and helpful as well.
Very appreciative! -
Hello All,
I have seen this error message discussed in other posts on the forums here but the solution of deactivating and reactivating server publishing/infrastructure are not working for me. In fact I encountered additional errors when reactivating publishing at
the site level. Powershell was necessary to reactivate site level server publishing.
Here is detail of the error I get when attempting to publish:

To Deactivate at web level, Open SharePoint Site. Click on Site Actions -> Site Settings, then click on Manage site features and then Deactivate Publishing Infrastructure feature.
Similarly you can deactivate at site level, Open SharePoint Site. Click on Site Actions -> Site Settings, then Site collection administration and then go to Site collection features. there deactivate Publishing Infrastructure feature.
To Reactivate again the feature, follow the above steps.
http://www.c-sharpcorner.com/Blogs/15338/invalid-splistitem-the-splistitem-provided-is-not-compatibl.aspx
1.The simple thing is to try deactivate and reactive the publishing features both at site collection and site level.
2. If the above doesn't work then proceed to below PowerShell script.
$site = Get-SPSite "http://www.mysites/ "
$web = $site.openweb()
$correctId = $web.Lists["Pages"].ID $web.AllProperties["__PagesListId"] = $correctId.ToString()
$Web.AllProperties["__PublishingFeatureActivated"]="True"
$web.Update()
3. The key point is PublishingFeatureActivated bag which has to be true .

Change Password link is not showing up in MyAccount Page
Change Password link is not showing up in MyAccount Page, eventhough the line
<class name="PasswordPortalSetting"/> is not commented out in DisplayPortalSettings.xml
We are using custom Auth source and not using plumtree Auth source, Is this could be a reason?
Any help is appreciated.I'm seeing the same thing as Simon, I changed the iOS device name in both places on an iOS device and the name in the Intune console is still "iPhone" which is really unhelpful as I'm sure you can imagine. Is there some other place
that we should be going to rename devices so they are more easily identifiable in the Intune console?
Thanks! -
The SPListItem provided is not compatible with a Publishing Page.
Hi Everyone,
I know there are a few previous resolution to this issue on TechNet. Secifically:
here... but i'm not convinced by the resolution of this issue.
Basically we have exactly the same problem, but over hundreds of pages that were moved by a 3rd party. You can see my dilemma, I dont want to have to go and recreate all the pages.
Anyone got any new ideas about how to fix this?
Cheers,
MichaelHi,
I understand that you get the following error message when checking in a publishing page.
"Invalid SPListItem. The SPListItem provided is not compatible with a Publishing Page."
This issue is typically a SharePoint Publishing feature issue on the site/site collection. You can deactivate and reactivate the feature and see how it works.
Alternately, you can activate SP 2010 Publishing Feature using PowerShell. Check the following link for more information:
SharePoint 2010 Publishing Feature Activation

Dreamweaver Design view does not show parts of the page
Hello all,
I was working on a page update - page was created using a
template so
that the client can add content with Contribute - and have
discovered
that suddenly whole sections of the page are no longer
visible in Design
Mode. This caused me some panic until I viewed in code view
and found
everything still in there. Viewing in browser shows the page
there in
entirety too, and uploads just fine. But no matter what I do
- restart
the program, restart the computer - nothing changes, the page
design
does not show parts of this page. Everything is in an
editable area and
should be visible.
I have been editing the code as that was my only option, but
now I have
heard that my client cannot view those sections of the page
in her
Contribute either.
The page is here:
http://www.craft-design.ns.ca
Any help would be gratefully received.
Thanks

Normal template files have two editable regions in the head
of the page -
doctitle, and head
The one you linked does not.
That's what I was talking about.

I have stopped recommending it to my clients.

SEO Properties settings not showing in Term Driven Pages tab in Term Store
Hi,
Many people have documented the ability of setting up SEO properties to a term in the term store in SharePoint 2013, but I was not able to find a place to do that.
Can anybody help me on figuring out how to set SEO properties for a given term via the term store UI ?
I read somewhere that this can be achieved by setting the properties in the Term - Driven pages tab of a term but can't seems to have such option available.
Thanks and Best Regards,Hi Supun,
I have seen a similar post from you. You can take a look at the following thread:
http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/d3900557-a3ed-422d-9340-a213be8b539f/seo-properties-settings-not-showing-in-term-driven-pages-tab-in-term-store?forum=sharepointsearch
I would suggest you to open only single thread for single issue. You can discuss your problem in this thread only.
Thank you for your understanding and support.
Best regards.
Thanks

http://mirror.informatik.uni-mannheim.de/pub/mirrors/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/3.6.9/win32/en-US/Firefox%20Setup%203.6.9.exe
but nothing shows.
Something is blocking the download. Prabably because this is an exe file. There is a Norton Antivirus Corporate Edition installated, but I cannot find where the restriction is defined.
I am not that familiar with whether there is a some Windows configuration effecting this restriction
Also I am using Verizon FIOS, I do not suppose this is a source of the problem. -
Wism controller does not show url redirection spalash page
Hi
Wism controller does not show url redirection/splash page .
client takes the ip from the dhcp server. when browsing its not going to the authentication page as usual
Thank youCan you elaborate on your issue... really hard to follow. To me, it seems like you want to use a guest splash page. The client associates to the open guest ssid and get's an ip address. Now the user has to open a browser to get the portal page correct? This has nothing to do with the WLC, but the OS on the device. Some devices can detect if no internet is present after authentication and obtaining an address. This means the device will automatically open a browser to present the user with the splash page. Other devices will require the user to open a browser to get the login screen.

Object not showing up when published
Hi,
I have finally managed to get a Facebook "Like" button onto my website but the problem I have now is that the text for the button merges into my background fill which is grey. I have tried creating a bar of colour to fit behind the HTML snippet and it looks great in iWeb edit mode but when I publish it, the block of colour doesn't appear. Can anyone tell me how I can get this to show up or change just a section of my page background or if it's possible to change the colour of the text in a FB Like button. Thank you! Thanks Roddy, I've tried that and it does improve things a bit. This is what I get with the "dark" option selected which is acceptable to a degree but.....
.....this is what I'm really trying to achieve, which shows up as shown here, when working in iWeb editing but does not show the colour-filled shape when I publish it. -

Also I've just noticed that when i return to my iweb application (after closing in down) the Html snippets aren't there anymore just an outline, just like they appear in safari?
Many thanks,
Ali
P.SBonjour
You inserted an image inside the ShopTable_Lampsfiles folder but it's is deleted every time you publish your page
1) Create an new folder named Paypal in your root folder:
FTP: With a FTP software (like Cyberduck) create a new folder in your server root folder
MobileMe: just make an new folder inside the Folder Sites (iDisk > Web > Sites)
Name this Folder "paypal"
2) insert your image "addtocartbutton.png" inside this paypal folder
Get the new URL of your image , something like
http://www.alisonbrent.com/paypal/addtocartbutton.png
3) Paste this URL in your codes, replace
src="http://www.alisonbrent.com/ShopTable_Lampsfiles/addtocartbutton.png"
by
src="http://the/new/URL/of/addtocartbutton.png" -
Google map widget does not show up in published site. Any suggestions?
After I've dragged the google map widget onto my page and publish it, it does not show up in the published site. Any suggestions?
Try publishing to a local folder and double clicking the index.html file to launch your site in the browser direct from your hard disk to see if the map works.
Where are you publishing to - MobileMe or another server? -

IWeb NOT showing changes after publishing
I had 2 sites I created with iweb. I made some changes on one, but not only did it not show any changes after I published it but said there was an error. I could access the site when I entered my basic domain name, but not through iweb. I deleted BOTH sites and started from scratch. Saved my work and tried publishing at least 5 different times. It STILL shows my DELETED sites (which I can't even see on my computer because I DELETED THEM!). MobileMe account is current. Domain name current.
Anyone else having these issues? ANy idea what to do?
ThanksBut did you delete your site folder from MobileMe too? It's all very well deleting your site from iWeb, but if you really want to delete it and start again, you also need to delete your site folder and index file from MobileMe. Log into MobileMe and then go to your iDisk and delete the files from there too and then re-publish from iWeb and your new pages should show.

Can a spyware be used against an iPhone or does the built-in antivirus protect us?
In a recent research (link below) it was established that many repressive governments have used a spyware program called Remote Control System (RCS) that was developed by a company called Hacking Team to spy on and target activists. My question is: c
