Drives get dirty, HD2600. Apple regard dirty drives as "defective" drives, and replace them if they are warranty or Applecare.
If you reckon Apple have problems with SuperDrives take a look at the number of hits if you Google up "Thinkpad DVD drive problems" !
There is nothing new or unusual about DVD drives failing to function properly for a variety of reasons. It is simply not a particularly reliable medium.
Slot loading drives are a bit more prone to issues than tray loaders, largely because they are harder to clean, but it is an issue right across the computer industry.

Sending Apple Feedback- (A Guide)

Hello everyone,
I haven't posted here before but considered it necessary based on the recently released iWeb '08.
It seems that there are serious issues with this piece of software, most of which have been documented throughout this forum.

I have already sent feedback and I am asking that you do the same (Positive & Negative). Please be pithy and succinct in your feedback (3 to 4 Sentences) and spread the word to anyone else you know.
Three of the main issues I have with iWeb '08 are (Yours may differ):
It's inability to include HTML code without using the HTML widget, which creates an iFrame.(Give us the option of “Code View”.)
It's not possible to publish to a personal domain without purchasing a .mac membership.
It does not support true Multi-site use. (It still publishes everything in the sites pane.)
I am welcoming critiques if any of my points are off base, and I know that this list is not all-encompassing.
Please, please send feedback to Apple, as they are a great company and they do have a history of listening to their faithful user base.

Apple changes their Support area from time to time, and it seems that they are departmentalizing their products' feedback. You essentially already had the correct feedback page for iWeb!

You likely have something wrong with your account. That is why you are being prompted to contact Apple.
If it was an issue with the App's store, then everyone would be having the same issue.
The people who are experiencing this, appear to be a small portion of people, and there fore likely have a similar issue to you. Try calling Apple, and they will be able to see what may be causing this.

Κανε backup στο iTunes και μετά κάνε restore as new. Δηλαδή Settings>General>Reset>Reset all Content and Settings. Οταν τελειώσει θα έχουν σβηστεί όλα. Μην κανεις restore from backup. Δοκίμασε πρώτα νε δεις αν δουλεύει το wi-fi. Αν δεν δουλεύει πας στο service. Αν δουλεύει κάνε restore from backup. Αν το πρόβλημα ξαναεμφανιστεί τότε πρέπει να ξανακανεις restore as new και να το στησεις απο την αρχή. Αν δεν εμφανιστεί έχεις καθαρίσει. Μην ξεχάσεις να συγχρονίζεις επαφές και ημερολόγια πριν το restore.

Batteries do have a finite life span.
That said there have been some users reporting battery issues but but there's no way to know what or why or how it happens.
You can try a reset. Hold down the sleep and home keys for about 20 seconds. Let it reboot and see if that helps.
If you have spares, you can try to swap out your charger and cable, just to see if there's any difference with them changed.
Another thing you can try is a restore. That's basically where you back it up and then restore it from a backup. (something to do a bit more research into if you plan to do it).
if you don't want to do that then you can make an appointment at your local apple store and have them check it out.

Thanks everyone, I thought that I had lost some functionality since upgrading as I can only send messages via iMessage and in our household there are 4 iOS devices and whenever anyone sends a message they do not receive the reply but it does come up on my iPad ( I don't always carry my iPad) so it can be hours before realising that the message has been received. The only solution I have is to turn off iMessage on the iPad and then everyone receives their messages normally.

Was that Apple ID and password the original owner of the iPod? If not, try using the Apple ID and password of the original owner.

Exactly how are you trying to open them (what menu command or button or mouse action or keyboard shortcut)?

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include clicking here and picking a method for your country, phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, and filling out and submitting this form.
