To forward sms from iphone5 with OS 8.0.2

I am using Iphone5. Recently I had updated to ios 8.0.2
When I try forwarding SMS, the forward icon as well the delete icon, down below is not visible at all or the both the icons are missing. I am unable to forward the message!

If you are having issues with your iPhone being unable to forward SMS message, you may want to try some things to troubleshoot.
First, quit all running applications and test again -
iOS: Force an app to close
Next, I would try restarting the iPhone -
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset
If the issue is still present, you may want to restore the iPhone as a new device -
iOS: How to back up your data and set up your device as a new device

If it's slow on startup it would be extensions loading or LaunchDaemons starting up.
You should have a look in:
/Library/LaunchDaemons
/Library/Extensions
You can count out anything in your home folder and it shouldn't put anything in /System as that's reserved for Apple.

How to get photos from iphone5 with unresponsive screen

My iphone was dropped a few days ago and the screen became unresponsive. All the buttons work fine, but I can't swipe to turn it on or enter my passcode. I took the phone to an Apple store and was told by a not-nice guy that there was nothing they could do and that I could not get any of my photos off of the phone because I had the phone passcode protected. I thought Apple wanted everyone to passcode their phones! I wish I had known that this would prevent me from accessing my photos if anything happened to my phone.
I have sadly come to accept that my phone cannot be fixed and that I will need to shell out big bucks for a replacement. However, I cannot accept that there is no way to retrieve the material on my phone. When I plug the phone into the computer, it is recognized fine and stuff will download to the phone. However, iTunes tells me that it cannot synch FROM the phone until I enter the passcode on the phone, which of course, I cannot do .
I am really hoping that someone will know some trick to getting stuff off of a phone with an unresponsive screen. Please, please help this very sad iphone user. The photos are all the photos I have of my young daughter. I know, I should have learned to to back my phone up, but when I tried a few months ago, I couldn't figure it out, so I have no backup. I even tried to set up iCloud, but I couldn't figure that out either. I suppose I deserve to lose all the photos from my daughter's babyhood . Thanks for helping if you can! (please!!)

Dear Dilbert41, thanks so much for your reply. In "my computer", it shows "other" and "photostream (system folder)". When I try to open the photostream, it says "photostream is not enabled. Sign in to icloud to view photostream. Open icloud control panel." So, if I click on the open icloud control panel and enter my apple id, it tells me that icloud has not been set up. So, I tried to set up icloud, but it appears that I have to set it up ON my iphone first, which I cannot do because the screen is broken. If I could use the screen, it appears I could get around the passcode. Instead, I have the passcode, but I cannot enter it because the screen does not work. I'm sure I had plugged my phone into my computer several times; I remember copying some songs in iTunes. This makes me think that I should be able to synch without reentering the passcode, but unfortunately, that does not seem to work (other sites said that if I plugged it into a computer it had been plugged into before that it would work).

Do you make iTunes backups of the iOS device?
The deleted SMS's can be extracted from the backup via various apps. You want to avoid backing up until you recover them, otherwise iTunes will overwrite the backup. It would help to know what OS you use for iTunes.
If you don't keep iTunes backups you would need to look at file recovery which isn't trivial & may not be possible on iOS.

Forwarding SMS

Is there anyway to forward sms from a receiver to another contact. i have been receiving business sms that i would want to share with other colleaues but cannot as there is no option to forward sms. Is it true that there is no forward facilities in iphone for sms???

These are all issues that have been discussed thousands of times on hundreds of iPhone forums and news outlets since the original iPhone several years ago. 30 minutes on Google before buying the iPhone would have revealed these shortcomings. I certainly knew about them when I purchased mine. Unfortunately, many people buy these things on impulse.
It's not 'criminal' for any company not to provide a feature, especially on a phone. That's the sad mentality of most people - they think they 'deserve' things when in reality, they should be happy they have so many options. If you see a shortcoming in a product segment, start your own company and fill it! I agree that Apple should have provided some of these features. I also agree that we should appropriately report our feedback to companies, but to continue ranting about these things is useless and shows the immaturity of many people.
And lastly, I'd don't think I'll pay your 10% restocking fee - I'm not the one who made what apparently was a bad decision on which phone to purchase.

That's more likely to be a carrier issue than an iPhone issue. You should each contact your respective carriers.

Meego N9: Cant recieve sms from Iphone

Hello, I just got my new Nokia N9. I have a very strange problem and wondering if anyone has a fix. For some reason, when somebody sends me a SMS from iphone with an iphone emoticon in it, I dont recieve that SMS. I simply don't recieve that SMS. But, if the SMS is only text based, I get the text with no problems. Please Help.

I checked with my provider (Fido, Canada). They said that it works in other Nokia devices, so it should work on yours as well. So, I tested on a separate Nokia device by sending a text from my iphone and works fine there. I can see the text portion and the emoji part just shows up as a strange ASCII character. Which is acceptable. But on the Nokia N9, I don't get the text at all, like it's disappeared in thin air. I opened a bug with meego as well, but no luck there. He didn't really seem to care.

I don't get SMS messages with the code from Apple with two factor authentication

As soon as Apple enabled two factor authentication in Mexico, I activated the feature. For some time everything worked well. When iOS 8 was launched, I started updating my devices. I was able to update an iPad Air as well as my iPhone 5 (which is the device used for verification). However, when I tried to update my iPad mini, I couldn't. I stopped receiving SMS messages from Apple with the code for verification. Now I am stuck with an iPad mini that I cannot use with my Apple ID and I cannot use iCloud on my brand new iPhone 6 (anticipating the problem, I backed up my iPhone 5 with iTunes and I am up and running, but with no iTunes match and no iCloud backup).
I have spent time on the phone with Apple support, who promised to return my call with a solution, but they never called back.
Just a final note. I do not have the recovery key. I trusted Apple and never thought I would need it. The fact is I still think it is Apple's problem because the SMS messages should get to my phone, and they don't. I do not really care losing my iCloud Backups or my photos (I have them all backed up elsewhere) but I don't want to lose my e-mail address (a .mac domain) nor my purchases.

I sent a message to that person. He replied, but I didn't get anything. To make it even more puzzling, I asked him to cc to my wife and she got his message. Then I asked her to forward it to me, and again I didn't get anything. Next, I found an old message from that guy and forwarded it to myself. Same effect - the message disappears, although the "sent" folder has a copy!

Whether you can re-download music depends upon what country that you are in (and whether it remains in the store). If you don't have a Music section in the Purchased tab in the iTunes store app on your phone for re-downloading it, then do you not have you library on your computer's iTunes or on your backup of your downloads ? If not then you could try contacting iTunes Support and see if they will grant you a re-download

Currently when I forward only the body copy of the sms message is sent in the email.

Problems with sending SMS from adress book

Hi all,
I have a new Kotorola MOTOKRZR K1 here.
The Bluetooth connection with iMac is ok. I can send data to phone and I can receive data from phone, but I can't send SMS from adress book v4.0.5 (487) to the phone.
The bluetooth button in adress book is disabled. I can click on this button, but address book open in this case always a dialog: "Pair with bluetooth device".
When I click on the "pair" button, then I can enter my access code vor the phone.
It is the access code from Bluetooth Assistant program for the phone.
my question is, Is here a user, who can send a SMS with MOTOKRZR K1 from adress book?
With my old Siemens S55 is this no problem.

Remember though, that although you have warranty on this phone, it is only valid in India and NOT Canada, because you purchased the phone in India and iPhone warranty is country specific, so if you have problems with the phone, then you'll need to take it back to India to get it fixed.
If you will be in Canada for any length of time, then buy a new phone in Canada. It will be guaranteed to work then and you will also have warranty cover.
