As'salamualikum, Ahamed Rafeeque Cherkala
there is a difference between Cursor and mouse Cursor
Cursor can goes any where by keyboar or mouse or shortcut key. Say any way.
But
Mouse cursor means cursor moves by mouse only.
first ask yourself what you want ?
If you want the cursor record then may use
SYSTEM.CURSOR_RECORD
/* if want process record then */
SYSTEM.TRIGGER_RECORD If you want the only mouse clicked record then use
:SYSTEM.MOUSE_RECORDhope it's helps

    3. Now i m installing Oracle forms 11g 64(-bit). its show me an error (INST-07407: Unable to detect machine platform or JVM bits)It looks like you are installing the 32-bit version of Oracle Fusion Middleware (FMw) 11g - not the 64-bit version. As a test, install the 32-bit JRE and run the FMw installer again. If it continues past this point - you've got the 32-bit installer and not the 64-bit installer. :)

  • UK-only: Would you like to speak about Forms 11g (and get a free lunch!)?

Hi. Firstly, sorry for posting a non-technical question to the Forms forum - this is not something I've done lightly, but I am struggling to find a Forms specialist.
We have a UK Oracle User Group middleware SIG event on 25th March, themed around "OFM 11g upgrade", and I am very keen to try to find someone to speak about their experiences with installing/running Forms 11g on Fusion Middleware 11g/WebLogic. I would prefer someone from outside of Oracle if possible, for agenda balance.
If you are UK-based, have some experiences of Forms 11g and would be willing to share them with a bunch of about 40-50 like-minded & friendly people please contact myself or [email protected]
Note: you don't need to be a UKOUG member and a complimentary lunch will be provided...

No I am not management, but a mere code monkey that does analysis work and work with oracle forms/reports, etc. It is a struggle to get management excited about Oracle when all they think of is 'oh no, another course, and money to upgrade the infrastructure'.
as Oracle should know by now as well as the special interest groups as with the hand raising of who is working with the latest version...not many.
i have gone to the UK OUG and gone back to work with great suggestions only to be blocked by management and investment in IT development.
perhaps this is where the SIGs should go...go with the current versions and its limitations and how by luck and brilliance that us 'code monkeys' have managed to pl/sql our way out of issues.
as the grant ronald (sp) sorry mate about name. i've seen you at various places and you see hands raising up, but what you don't see is those who are embarrassed not to put them up when you ask placently who is running on older versions..and to dwindle down to earlier versions...
perhaps you should put a SIG on those who are really working in the real work and have a specific oracle forms one. then there is where you will get your answer to your questions..and i'm sure you will hear time and time again what was posted on your post...
oh free lunch is always a good thing :)

  • (realistic) system requirements for development environment under Forms 11g

    Hello !
How are the realistic system requirements for a complete development environment
    under Forms 11g (Forms11g/Reports11g/Weblogic-Server) ?
From our experience there is a problem with the RAM-limitation of Windows 32 bit !
Is there anybody to exchange his experiences ...
    Thanks in advance !
    Thomas

The Oracle Solaris Studio 12.4 will officially support Oracle Linux 5,6 when it releases later this year.
Since Oracle  Linux is based on RHEL, Oracle Solaris Studio should work on RHEL.
Support customers may report issues against RHEL and the Oracle Solaris Studio team will do its  best to address these issues but fixes are not guaranteed.
Oracle Solaris Studio components such as compilers and command line tools do not require Java.  If you install the product using the Oracle Solaris Studio Installer in non-interactive mode you can install the Solaris Studio product without having Java on your system though the installer will issue a warning message if Java is not found on the system.  Alternately you can install the product using the tar file distribution if Java is not installed. If you install via the tar file, it is not possible to install patches later.

  • Getting error while using javascript in Forms 11g

    Hi All
From OTN I have downloaded .zip file contains demo of Integrating Oracle Forms 11g with javascript.
I have gone through every step and intergrated the javascript with Forms 11g.
I am gettin an runtime error FRM-92190: JavaScript is unable to evaluate expression.
Can anyone help me in this please.
I placed every directory and file as mentioned in that demo.
    I use Win XP SP3,
Forms [32 Bit] Version 11.1.1.4.0 (Production). patch set1.
    Internet Explorer 8.
    Thanks,
    Maddy

    Hi
    Thanks for your response
I am just want to see how can a form looks using the javascript.
and I want to use javascript in our Forms application to enhance them.
If I can understand that demo it may be easy for me to implement the JS in our application.
That error says that some wrong expression passed to the web.javascript_eval_expr
    js.html is placed here C:\Oracle\Middleware\asinst_1\config\FormsComponent\forms\server
Left out files and directories are placed here C:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\middleware_int\servers\WLS_FORMS\tmp\_WL_user\formsapp_11.1.1\e18uoi\war
updated my .cfg and .env file as required.
Is it problem with configuring the JS files and directory or Problem with javascript code????
    Thanks,
    maddy

    Thanks.

From the last OATS release notes available in the C:\OracleATS\docs directory:
    4.1 Oracle Functional Testing/OpenScript
Oracle Functional Testing’s OpenScript scripting platform has the following system
    requirements:
    ■ Operating System (32-bit and 64-bit versions): Windows XP, Windows Vista,
    Windows 2003, Windows 7, Windows 2008, Windows 2008 R2.
    ■ Memory: Minimum 1 GB
    ■ System: x86, 32-bit or 64-bit processor, 2.6 GHz or faster
    ■ Disk Space: 4 GB minimum
    ■ Browser: Internet Explorer 7.x, 8.x., 9.x; Firefox 3.5/3.6, 6.x, 10; Chrome 27+
    (playback only).
    ■ Java Runtime Environment: JRE 1.6 minimum (up to build 38), JRE 1.7 (up to build
    11) .
So basically, it's not supported... Can you try with another JRE version?
As always don't forget to run OpenScript as administrator on W7/8 or equivalent

weblogic server installation is perfect no errors at all.
i also got the errors i got during installation ( im_emagent.mk and while running command gcc) . but thanks to OTN Forums i had managed to find out a fix. but on this error only solution i got is
TRY WINDOWS . but what about linux then? is there any solution on this error?
i am not much used to front-end ( java i mean). i am Oracle DBA Actually n want to install n try Weblogic
    Kindly Help...

You can just copy the relevant parts (the ones marked with error). You can also look at the timing
when it happened the reports environment did not start.
From what i remember this could be a memory issue, standard every managed server (WLS_FORMS and WLS_REPORTS) instance
is configured with 1024m bytes of memory.
What we did is first install a forms instance and after that a reports instance. After the forms installation we adjusted the
memory parameters in setWLSEnv (<middleware-home>/user_projects/domains/<domain-name>/bin). Look in this file
    for references to WLS_FORMS (something similar to: if [ "${SERVER_NAME}" = "WLS_FORMS" ] ; then).
Another thing which springs to my mind is, which products did you select. If you just want Forms and Reports
you can select just the following:
    - Oracle Forms
    - Oracle Reports
    - Developer Tools aan.
    - Management Components
    - Oracle HTTP Server
    and deselect the other options:
    - Oracle Portal
    - Oracle Discoverer
    - Oracle WebCache
    - Clustered (if you are not using clustering)
We also had to fix the following files (i do not think that you have to do this since your Forms did not show any problems):
    - (On Windows) Copy the file msvcr71.dll (FMW/windows/extra) to WINDOWS/system32.
    - Copy the file mod_wl_ohs.so (FMW/<operating-system>/extra) to <middleware-home>/as_1/ohs/modules.

    Hi,
we are trying to install Forms 11g 64 bit with WebLogic 64bit on windows Server 2008 64bit and followed the short checklist of Jan Carlin :
    - installed JDK 64bit
    - installed WLS1032-generic
    - started installation of Forms/Reports
Installation of Software worked fine and the configuration part did create the domain, but starting the domain fails (hang).

Somewhere I've read that the reason might be that the installation uses 32bit JDK, but I don't know if I did something wrong.
Somewhere else I've read that the reason could be the Path setting, which may include some directories with emphasis in the name which might be a problem for Weblogic.
Any idea or help is appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Mark

    FYI,
This is related to Oracle-Bug 9370799 which hopefulls get sorted out sometimes. Having "(" or ")" somewhere in the PATH is not working. The workaround til the Bug is solved as of support is :
    =================================
    1) Remove the directory with "(" ")" from the System Path at install time only (this is what you have already performed)
    2) Roll back the change so the System Path contains again the directory path with parenthesis
    3) Copy in the clipboard the current PATH value and edit the <Middleware Home>\wlserver_10.3\common\bin\commEnv.cmd file and look for the following line:
    if "%WL_USE_X86DLL%" == "true" set PATH=%PATCH_PATH%;%WL_HOME%\server\native\win\32;%WL_HOME%\server\bin;%ANT_HOME%\bin;%JAVA_HOME%\jre\bin;%JAVA_HOME%\bin;%PATH%;%WL_HOME%\server\native\win\32\oci920_8
    4) Before this line define PATH to value you have in the clipboard without the reference to the directory with "(" and ")"
    5) Save the commEnv.cmd and you should be able to start up your domain having the directory containing the "(" and ")" in the System Path
    ==================================
    Thanks for your replies,
    Mark

  • Oracle Forms 11g Installation. Create domain problem

    Hi,
I am installing Oracle Forms 11g on Windows 7 32-bit system. Installation is done. Create domain is failing during the configuration process.
I searched everywhere but cudnt find a solution specific to the problem.
Only recognisable error message is 'CSF Entries will not be parsed since the AdminServer is unreachable'.
I have checked Node Manager is not running.

You have the wrong Java version installed.  Do you already have another Forms version installed (like Forms 10g)?  I ask this because Java 1.4.2_06 installs with the Oracle Developer Suite 10g. For Fusion Middleware 11g (Forms 11g) you need to have Java 1.6 installed.  If you already have Java 1.6 installed, then you will need to modify your System PATH so that it lists Java 1.6 before Java 1.4.  The error you are getting, "stderr=[java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError" is because Java 1.4 doesn't support the method the installer is using.  Run the following command from a Command/Dos window:  "Java -version".  If it does not show Java 1.6.0_??, then your PATH is still not setup correctly or you don't have Java 1.6.0 installed.

    Regards

    Hi,
I noticed you have two threads, i replied on both your threads :)
It can be a variety of issues, please provide responses to my questions below - as i can quickly narrow down the issue that way. Typically the issue is either the installer can't indeed create the domain OR it created the domain and it can't startup the AdminServer.
    Questions for you:
1.) What WLS version and Forms Software Version (and Patche(s) if applicable) have you installed?
2.) Can you tell me in short what installation steps you did?
3.) Can you provide System Specs? (OS, CPU Type, RAM, HDD Freespace).
4.) During an installation, the Oracle Installer logs to both a .out and .log file. The .out is generally the most descriptive on errors. Can you post the entire .out file?
5.) Can you find out if your domain directory was created? By default domains are stored in "%Middleware_Home%/user_projects/domains". If a domain was created, please use a command-line utility, navigate to your domain home directory (ex: %MW_HOME%/user_projects/domains/%domain_name%), then run the following command: startWebLogic. if it crashes and fails, let me know.
    Most Common Issues:
1.) If Node Manager Windows is installed and running, this can cause a failure on creating domain. Verify if Node Manager is installed in your Windows Services. If it is, shut it down and 'retry' creating the domain. If Node Manager is not installed, ignore this.
2.) Verify port 7001 is not being blocked by a firewall and verify if no other domains or processes are already listening on port 7001
3.) The installer simply can't startup the AdminServer during this step (Starting up AdminServer is one of last activities the installer does). On 32-bit systems, the most common issue is JVM Heap allocation - if you are already using JDK 6, I'd recommend to use JRockit which comes with the weblogic 32-bit installer. For 64-bit Systems however, this most common issue has to do with "Program Files (x86)" entries in the PATH environment variable. Removing these from the PATH varaible, resolves this. If your domain has already been technically created on the filesystem and you're getting domain creation error, try manually starting up the AdminServer. If this script fails, this is the reason why you're getting the "domain creation" error.
4.) Incorrect Forms Software version was installed on top of WebLogic. The following software version combinations are certified by Oracle.
    WLS 10.3.2 -> Forms 11.1.1.2
    WLS 10.3.3 -> Forms 11.1.1.3
    WLS 10.3.4 -> Forms 11.1.1.4
    WLS 10.3.5 -> Forms 11.1.2
    5.) Unsupported JDK Version
This is all a lot at once, let me know if you need any clarifications. Hope this helps.
    Thank you,
    Gavin

  • Oracle Forms 11g R2

    All,
I have done the following to Install Oracle Forms 11g R2 on a windows 7 64 bit computer. For some reason I am just not able to complete my installation. I will really appreciate any help from any one on this forum.
    1.     I downloaded jdk-6u30-windows-x64 from the web and installed it on my computer
    2.     I created Junctions of all the paths that have spaces in them, for example I made a Junction for “Program Group” as “pg”. The Paths which was “c:\Program Group\MSoffice” is now “c:\pg\MSoffice”. Once all the Junctions were completed and tested, I changed the “Path” environment variable and used the Junctions in the Path variable. I have no more spaces in my Path.
    3.     I downloaded wls1035_generic from the web and successfully installed it.
    4.     I then downloaded ofm_frmrpts_win_11.1.2.0.0_64_disk1_1of1 from the web and unpacked it and installed it. In the installation part, first I just used the option of just installing and not configuring. Once the installation was completed, I started doing the configuration part. This is where I am getting stuck. The process of “Creating Domain” takes a long time and then it fails. After the failure, the process starts doing “Creating ASInstance” and hangs there forever with no progress.
I will really appreciate any help from any one in successfully completing this process of Installation.

FYI I don't think forms had a problem with spaces historically but java might have. So don't install the jdk in a directory with spaces in it (nor have the name be too big, have unusual characters in it, etc) Be sure no java related environment variables have spaces in them like JAVA_HOME, CLASSPATH whatever. (at the command prompt type
set to see them. The biggest forms problem in my experience was with parentheses in the path. (Some other people have suggested this to that author but she has not changed her directions:

Regarding this junction thing I don't know what you did there. That sounds scary. The way to get rid of bad things
in the path in my experience was to replace IN THE PATH (which is an environment variable) the offending items with the 8.3 versions. The path problem was that something in the path, even if it had nothing to do with forms, was able to derail forms from running as forms tripped over evaluating the path.
The biggest offender in the past was "program files (x86)" which is created by windows typically so the likelihood of it being there is about 99.9%. So you would check what the 8.3 name of that was (from a current directory of c:\ dir *.* /x )
The good thing about the 8.3 trick is that either version was accepted by windows programs. Whereas if you actually changed the name of a directory like "Program Files" to "ProgramFiles" then all the references to that would have to be modified and it would cause everything in program files to probably quit working. But referring to any directory by its 8.3 name continues to work.
    dir program*.* /x
    results would likely be:
    Program Fiiles progra~1
    Program Files (x86) progra~2
And replace program files (x86) IN THE PATH environment variable with the /x version (progra~2)
    accessing environment variables:
    control panel,
    system and security
    system
    advanced system settings

  • Oracle 11g, 64 bit, Forms 11g 64 bit on Windows 7 Professional 64-bit

We just changed over to Windows 7 64 Bit now we trying to find out what version of Fusion Middleware will run on Windows 7 64 bit. Most posting say you can't install
Oracle 11g 64 bit on Windows 7 64 bit OS, but we have found a few that say they have found away to install 11g 64 bit. Not one of them shows you the install
from start to finish and some of the posting go back to 2009!
If this has been a problem from 2009 - present can some tell why Oracle has not provided a fix or update for Windows 7 64 bit and are they going to in the future?
If anyone knows how install Oracle 11g 64 bit, Forms 11g 64 bit on Windows 7 Professional 64-bit please let me know!
    Thanks!

    Monty,
I assume that you mean the developer tools? They are kind of in limbo with 64-bit support for the dev tools, but if you want to get the latest (as of today) release working, you can do this:
    1). Install a 64-bit JDK
2). Install WLS 10.3.4 generic (use the 64-bit java)
    3). Install Forms/Reports 11.1.1.2 (install only, don't configure)
    4). Install Forms/Reports 11.1.1.4 (install only, don't configure)
5). Edit your PATH system variable so that it doesn't contain any parenthesis. I did this by creating a junction point for c:\program files (x86) and using the junction point in the path
6). Run the configuration utility to create the forms/reports domain. Be sure to specify the dev tools
7). Look in the start menu for the Reports Builder icon. It will be pointing to a batch file. Edit that batch file to comment out the lines that print a message and exit (because you're on 64-bit)
Not officially supported, but it works for me.
