To get the configuration detials of a material from sales order

Hi Gurus,
I know we can get the configuration details of a material from Purchase order using function module 'ME_VAR_GET_CLASSIFICATION'. I need an equivalent function module for getting configuration details of a material from sales order. Is there any?...

Myy probelm is solved. I used the same funcitton module ME_VAR_GET_CLASSIFICATION. wiht Material and configuration as the inputs. then i used table CABN to filter the hidden characteristics using the field ACTVE.

Iam having subcontracting operation in routing. But i am not able to transfer of material from sales order stock to subcontractor when i do 541 movement

Dear Mayuresh,
You cannot move Sales Order assigned material directly to Sub contracting Vendor stock.
For doing so firstly unassign the Sales order stock by transaction MB1B & movement type 411E.
After this you can provide the stock to the vendor by transaction MB1B & movement type 541O.
Other way is to create account assigned Purchase Orders. Thereafter create virtual sub contractor storage location in your plant. Transfer your Sales Order assigned material to these Virtual locations so that you can see the stock provided to the vendor. Now during Goods Receipt of the finished goods you can consume the material by movement type 543E.

Varinat configuration copy of batch characteristics from Sale order to production batch

hi experts ,
below is the scenario :
the characteristics and its value which are maintained in the sale order must be copied to batch produced during process order GR .
it was not available in 4.7 but availbale in ECC 6.0 i guess by SAP.
i have created configured material with class type 300 and KMAT . have mainatined CU41 . created material variant and have filled MRP 3 fields.
have created material variant with class type 023 . (also tried with class type 300) .
created sale order for confgured material and item category is also correct . i do not get pop up for material variant which has same charcateristics as that of material configured.
also on after MRP run and process order creation w.r.t Sale order i did GR . but the batch was created with 023 class type and no characteristics were copied .
kindly guide , i have not worked much on variant configuration.

the problem start as you havent got pop up saying there exist a material variant with values you selected for configurable material in sales order, so please check settings related to item catagory.
Also as sales order is created for configurable material , for which material you run MRP?

To deassign material from sales order

In our case say 50 materials is assigned to sales orde in year 2007, so its showing stock less by 50. So can anuone tell me the procedure to kno to which sales order it is assigned and hw to make changes so that system stock is shown correctly.

1. you Can Check thorugh MD04 - Stock/Requirement list, seek the help of PP Consultant he will be able to tell you to which order it is assigned.
2. If you have not done further process this qty will be reserved for this material as "scheduled for delivery" . Check in MMBE by entering the material, plant if required storage location and press execute.
Right click against the stock and choose Stock/Requirement list

Get the Ship-to-Party from Sales Order and Line item

Hi all,
I am developing one report in which I want to get the Ship-to-Party for a particular Sales Order and Sales Order Line item number.
I can see table VBPA from I can get value of KUNNAR and so on. But my concern is that can the Ship-to-Party differ for different line items for sales Order, if yes how to get that one, any table or any function module?
In my scenario i found out that ship-to-party only depend upon sales order and partner function not line item.

Hi,
First step: Customer Creation (T. Code: XD01)
i) Create Sold to Party (Ordering Party) with Account Group: Sold-to-Party
ii) Create as many Ship-to-Party and Bill-to Party, if reqd, with Account appropriate Account Groups.
iii) Match all the Ship-to-party/ Bill-to-Party/ Payer for the respective Sold-to-Party under Tab: Sales Area data, Sub-tab: Partners.
Second Step: Sales Order Creation (T.Code: VA01)
i) Enter Sold-to-Party at Header Level.
ii) Enter Materials (at Line-item level).
iii) Now, System will pop-up all the Ship-to-Party/ Bill-to Party/ Payer, Matched for the particular Sold-to-Party. Click on appropriate selection.
OR
Now, (if option doesn't pops-up) select the line and Double Click on to the same line. it will lead to the next page. Here, Click Tab: Partners
Now, in Column: Partner Function, search for appropriate Partner: Ship-to-Party or Bill-to-Party or Payer.
Remember: Sold-to-Party will be non-editable as entered at Header level.
Repeat the same for Each Line-item.

Mb1b movement 453 - profit center not from material but from sales order

Dear All,
we have the problem that by return process from sales order stock to free stock (453 movement) we would like to have the original Profit center from sales order, but as SAP standard it moves PC from material master.
we have implemented already oss 978159 sowie 1038490, but did not help.
Since days we try to find an uxer exit in MM or CO!? where we could write in the correct profit center. But unfortunately PC from material master pops up at the end of the process, and the system overwrites it again and again.
Had sy of you similair problem? can you please help with an user exit?

I think this behaviour is correct.. Since you are moving from Sales order stock to Unrestricted stock, the PC from mat master would prevail...

How to get change log for z-fields in VBAk(Sales order)

Hi All,
Please help me in this.
My requirement is get the change log for z-fields in sales order.
In the sales order header level we have one tab Additioanl data.
In this we have z-fields, if we change any of the field value, it is accepting the same and updating in data base as well.
But it is not appearing in change log<. I.e. Environment->changes.
How to get the change log for the z-fields.
In data element level enable the check box of change document.
Please help me in this.

Function module to get the configuration of Individual objects

Is there is any std function module to get the data of individual object configuration.
In table COM_TA_R3_ID, I can able to get the PRODUCT_GUID (for material and serial number) and I dont know how to get the configuration of the product by using the PRODUCT_GUID.
Pl through some light on this.

Hi,
You can get the item configuration using FM CRM_CONFIG_READ_OW.
This is used to read the product configurations for IPC calls.
Just pass the configured item guid and it will return the configuration data.
Use FM CRM_PRODUCT_I_READ_OW to get the product configurations but this FM checks whether any item has this product guid.

Can I Bridge the Actiontec MI424WR router that Verizon provided, when I signed up for FiOS service?
The MI424WR does not have a bridging option, and neither Verizon nor Actiontec support attempting to bridge it.
The desire to bridge the MI424WR is based on a misunderstanding that it is a modem as well as a router. Actiontec does produce DSL Gateways that have a Transparent-Bridging option, which bypasses or disables the router function and allows the Gateway to act simply as a DSL modem, when it is enabled. Many consumers do not realize that with FiOS, the ONT (typically outside the home) is the device that handles changing the FiOS signal from Fiber to either Ethernet or Coax, and that the Router is just a Router, and if it was bridged or bypassed, it would be a device without a function. For most Verizon FiOS customers their service would completely stop if the MI424WR was bridged, because the Video on Demand service is dependent on it to work.
If your ONT is connected to the Actiontec MI424WR router via Coax, the MI424WR is required due to the Coax connection. But if the ONT is connected to the MI424WR via Ethernet, then in most cases some other router can be substituted for the MI424WR, and it can be removed."
So it looks like I will be calling Verizon support to see about getting the Ethernet connection installed and getting another modem...

Lock characteristic value for configurable material in Sales Order

Is there a setting in SAP which can prevent user changing characteristic value for configurable material in Sales Order after production order created for this Sales Order? Currently, it can only works when first delivery create for this Sales Order.

Hi,,
in the characteristic goto additional data tab,
you have a field called not ready for input.
you select this when the value in this characteristic come by calculation based on the previous selection.
that field will be greyed out.
OR
u can even select the no display check box,
by selecting this u cant see the characteristic in the list,, it will give u a popup before leaving the screen.
for this the char has to be a required field.
OR
if any of this is not working then may be u can try out with authorization management.

How can I get the value of a custom property from a resource object?

I am trying to get the value(s) of a custom property, called "status" within a method. The method has an object of type IResource available to it.
I have tried the following:
PropertyName propName = new PropertyName("","status");
value = res.getProperty(propName).toString();
However, I am getting a NullPointerException when I try to create the PropertyName instance.
Is there a better way to get the value of a specific property from a resource object?

I was missing the default namespace of "http://sapportals.com/xmlns/cm" - I thought I could just pass an empty string for the namespace, but it looks like I must always specifiy, even if it is default.
