To have error msg for RG Part II posting

Dear All gurus,
presently in our system for invoice posting we have defined check for RG Part II posting as WARNING only. I want to hav it as ERROR msg. That is untill user has done Part II posting, system shud not save invoice. I checked system msgs in SPRO> MM>Log. Inv. Verification--> Def Attrbuted of System Msgs, but I cud not find that msg there. Can anyone guide me where can I change this msg to error msg.

LG --> Tax on Goods Movement - India -- Tools -- Message Control .. here check 8I 478 is ava or not? if ava change the status into Error . if not ava, slect new entry and create for this msge nbr

how can i hide the error msg for the mandatory fields when they are not entered?? when i don't put a value in a mandatory field and commit the form, an error msg occurs teelling to enter the value for that mandatory field, but the error msg is not friendly at all and i want to hide it.

I'll assume you are talking about ADF Faces + ADF Business Components application, since you don't mention it.
If you are talking about the pop-up Javascript dialog box that pops up, you can do the following:
1). Set required=false on those fields in your JSP.
2). Set showrequired=true on those same fields so that there is a visual indication that the fields are required
3). Ensure the attribute to which the fields are bound have "mandatory" set to true in the BC's
Now, when you commit the form, you will not see the Javascript pop-up, but you will see a message in the af:messages component.

"Unable to Access" error msg for BI Publisher Report

Hello All,
I am getting the following error when trying to access a BI Publisher report from the dashbaord. We can access the folders that come with BI Publisher examples, ie Executives, Financials, HR Manager but not the "GTR" that we have created.
Privelleges are the same. The folders have the same rights too.
This is for OBIEE 10.1.3.4 with BI Publisher of the same version, running on a solaris box.
Any thoughts.

Psc 2175 printer error msg for SD memory card

I inserted a micro SD card from my cell phone using an SD adapter in the SD slot of my 2175 all-in-one. The printer reads the card and comes back with an error msg. Computer runs XP.
Latest printer driver was installed. Put a std. SD card in and it works fine. Brought the micro SD in the adapter to store and put it into a new printer. It worked fine.
I heard HP 2175 has a problem reading certain cell phone microSD cards and developed a fix for this problem. Unable to find it.The Motorola Z6c cell phone supports JPEG as does the HP printer. HELP!

Ok, I tried to reformat it, on my Mac but when I do I get a Input/Output error. So I tried to reformat in my PC, when I try to there is a pop up saying "Please enter a disk into Drive F." SBL-DAT-00398 error msg for User Field Validation

Hi All,
I have created the following field validation on the User field "Division": Len([<Division>])>0 AND InStr([<ltValidation_OU_ITAG>],[<Division>])>0, As the "Division" field is free text, the porpuse of the validation is to prevent the user from entering in this field any value that is diffrent from the ones available in the custom field "Validation OU" via the User Owner Page Layout. The validation works OK for Admin Role via the User Admin Page Layout but a SBL-DAT-00398 error msg stating " Field '<Division>' does not exist in definition for business component 'Occam Current Employee' " appears when users with other roles are trying to update this field via the User Owner Page Layout.
I have contacted OD Customer support and they validated this in several POD saying this "is most likely a defect in the application" and a CR will be submitted to dev team to fix it sometime in the future.
I am wondering though if support isn't making life easy here stating the above...:
1. Anyone encountered this error before? (couldn't find any trace for this on My Oracle Support)
2. Anyone aware of field validation limitations for the 'User' entity?
3. Workaround suggestions are welcomed

Error(), fatal(), info() and warn() issue FacesMessages that get picked up by the MessageGroup component.
By adding in the uicomponent you can target the facesMessage so that it gets picked up by the Message component associated with the field causing the error.
But, to get the label to show the error as well, you need to throw a validationError. See this tutorial for more informaiton:

Unable to open PDF portfolio (Error Msg: "For the best experience, open this PDF portfolio in...)

I am having a problem opening an important PDF portfolio document using Adobe Reader (version 11.0.02) for Mac (Mountain Lion version 10.8.3).
When I attempt to open the file, I come up with the error message: "For the best experience, open this PDF portfolio in Acrobat 9 or Adobe Reader 9, or later", and I am unable to view the document. This is becoming very frustrating, as I am attempting to open the document with the new version of Adobe Reader (which I have downloaded multiple times).
If anyone has a solution for this problem that would be very helpful!

"Unknown Error" msg. for Officejet J3640

My printer, about 6 months old, has always been unreliable. It refuses to print and it refuses to give me an error number or title. I have searched all the posts here in the forum, I have run a test page (all okay), printed a document from Word 2007 (sometimes okay), but it won't print my online bank statement. The printer has an LED but there is not a message there. My OS is XP, 3rd SP, and my computer is a Dell Optiples GX270. Help!

Error msg for UIComponent and correct style/icons for associated label

I am using the "error(UIComponent component, String summary)" method on a page bean to set an error message for a specific UI component from a submit event handler, which is great because that shows an error message next to the component that caused the problem in the first place. For instance, if I get a data integrity error such as duplicate key from the data layer, I can use this approach to tell the user which UI component is causing the problem.
However, the "error" method does not set the error icon and the correct style (e.g. bold and red) for any associated labels in the same way a validator does. Does anyone know a way to achieve this from an action event handler. Keep in mind that I am referring to errors such as data integrity errors which can only be detected when you are already running the action event handler, which means the validation phase has already been done.

Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.

Upgrade from RH8 to RH9 displays error msg for images/hyperlinks

We imported a RH8 project into RH9 on another computer. For the most part, it went smoothly; however, for some images and hyperlinks, we get the message: The image file "___.jpg" used in "______.htm" is outside of the current project and will not be shown in Project Manager.
Additionally, there are approximately 20 broken links displayed in the Broken Links tab.
Your suggestions would be appreciated as we have multple huge projects we need to upgrade. Thanks

For each of the messages about the image being outside the project, you will need to carefully note the image file name, the topic and the location it is reporting. Then you will need to edit the topic and click on the image icon and browse to the image to choose it. That action should correct the link and copy the image into your project.

Discoverer Plus - Kills the browser with error msg for session timeout

If left idle for more than few minutes, Discoverer Plus instance will kill itself with an error.
i guess it kills the IE browser instance with an error message when Session Timeout occurs. The problem is I have to re-login in a new IE browser.
Is this normal behavious, or a bug. Any workaround to stop this happen. Please can someone help me, we are going on for a production rollover very soon.

The pref.txt file has session time out parameter that can be controlled. You can increase the time out value.

Reason behind error msg for number range when hiring through PA40

Hello Gurus,
I am getting the following error message when hiring thru PA40.
"No valid interval found(internal number assignment)"
Internal number range is already defined and the system is picking up the number from the defind range. When we press "return" button, the system accepts the input asks the user to save the data. The whole action is runnig fine except the error message.
Can you please explain why such error is comming?

Custom error msg for 404, 500, etc

We are using iPlanet 4.0 as the webserver and WebLogic 4.5.1 as the app
server on Solaris.
Does anyone know of a way to override the default error message that is
returned when the page is not found (404's) ? We would like to redirect
to a more friendly page.

The only work around for folks still on version 4.5.1 is available from
support. Basically, you have to replace the static class in Weblogic.
Version 5.1 should solve all these problems.

5.1. We are still using 4.5.1. We are a week from 'live' date and don'thave

Why all packets dropped with %SW_DAI-4-DHCP_SNOOPING_DENY: 1 Invalid ARPs error msg for arp inspected vlans for DMZ and Backup

Hi,
We have got cisco 3759 switch where the followign line was configrued only
ip arp inspection vlan 6,100
And on those vlans no arp inspection trust was configrued. DMZ and backup servers were connected on that switch. Switch got restarted wihtin 5 minutes for the power outage and when the swithc came online it was denying all the packets coming through the vlan 100 adn 6 althought it was allowing packets before the power outage.
It took me 30 minutes to find out that arp inspection was enables which might cause the issue, but I am still unsue why it would block all packets for vlan 100 & 6.After taking out the command ' ip arp inspection vlan 6,100' all started working fine.
What is the reason the switch had this issue? Is there any resolution for this? thanks

ok so I have used my itunes `John Limewire Tunes`forever to listen to on the computer...so today i went and pushed on my tunes..and get teh error message:
`The shared library `Johns Limewire Tunes` is not responding (-3259)Check any firewall setting on either the shared computer or this computer has been set to allow port 5214
i have tried to fix..no clue,not very computer literate
please please help..im missing my music!

Check the firewall settings of your security software to be sure that itunes and itunes helper are allowed.
