To Hide Page in the portal based on the requirement

Hi All ,
AM newbie to portal environment and have been doing a research for quite some time on portlets and inter communication between portlets(IPC). Am stuck with a scenario in which i have two pages created in a portal and each page has a portlet. Say for example
Page1 has Portlet A
Page 2 has Portlet B
This application is about sending flash cards to end users and viewing it.
So when the application gets loaded initially , i need Page 1 to be visible and to hide Page 2 ..
and then the end user will receive a mail in which there will be a link to page 2.. So when the user clicks on the link, only Page 2 should be visible and Page 1 should be hidden..
Have gone through the concept of backing files but still am not sure about the implementation..
So i thought the experts here could help me out.. Kindly provide me with the sample code

There are two kinds of Portal users 1.Citizens 2. Doctors
Idea is when citizen logs in siteminder direacts a URL based on this URL he'will be abel to see Citizen desktop.

After the login, the portal displays again the login page

After Portal Installation the login doesn´t work. The following occurs:
After the login, the portal displays again the login page with its input fields empty.

How to control the measure based on the related dimension.

Hi Experts,
In order to improve performance, I have created three kinds of time tables in DB,such as Year .Month, Day.
Then import them into the physical layer in RPD, and combine them into one dimension in BMM.
Actually, it has three level fact related with three time tables,so they are also dragged into one fact in BMM,and one column will be corresponding with three column derived from different Fact table in physical layer.
So I want to know how to control the measure based on the related dimension.
For example:
when users drag the Year,Sales column, it will come from Year Dimension and Year Fact Table.
when users drag the Month,Sales column, it will come from Month Dimension and Month Fact Table.
when users drag the Day,Sales column, it will come from Day Dimension and Day Fact Table.

Create a dimension Hierarchy, with Year >> Month >> Day Levels and
Next Double click on Year Table LTS >> click on Ocntetnt Tab >> set as Year
same way for Month LTS and Day LTS.
So now when you select year column then server canknow which LTS to hit and Hits Year LTS.

There are a lot of different ways to do this. One simple method is to use a switch statement when creating your pushpins and based on some property in your data, select the icon you want to use and create your pushpin accordingly.

as date is record the time also below query will work.

I've to extract the data based on the sysdate...like today dd is 11,

BM_PERF is the table name and
BM_PERF_YR,BM_PERF_MONTH,BM_NOP_CT_1........BM_NOP_CT_31 are the column names.

I am not getting the Portal Content inside the System Administrations-> System Configuration->System Landscape. This is not visible. I am SAP NetWeaver 7.0.

do you have the full tree in Contentadmin? do you have no entry in the systemadmin? or is it just empty in the lower nodes? this would be normal, you don't see the content in systemadmin, just the defined systems.

How to enable the DFF in OAF page(where Dff is based on the custom table).

Hi Experts!!
I am in the process of enabling the dff in OAF page. I am not able to enable the dff if am using the Custom table.
Ex:
Assume that my DFF XX_DFF is using the custom table XX_TABLE of att1,att2..
I am able to enable the dff in OAF page but not able to make those values entered to get stored in the custom table.
I need helping hands to help me out to get the entered dff values stored in my custom table.

Print Adobe form pages on different printers based on the condition

Hi All,
I am new in Adobe forms. We have requirement to print first 5 line items in adobe form (which are printing on first page) on one printer and remaining pages on another printer.
What solution I was thinking was, in print program call the adobe form twice with flag as a importing parameter. For the first call the flag value will be set and for second run a blank value will be passed in flag.
If flag is set then call make the first page "visible" and if flag is cleared then "hide" the first page and make the remaining pages "visible".
But as its an item data which is designed on "Design" view I am not able to write a script to hide the page. Any suggestion you can give to resolve this issue.

If it is OK to have the default printer defined/maintained in the user master (like tcode Su01 or System > User profile > Own data, Then the standard logic may suit your needs. I think you will need to undo some config for the whs. Te standard logic works as detailed below. the system needs to get to #4 below, then the SAP userid printer will be selected.
the system proceeds with automatic printer determination as described below Config Tcode is OMLV.
1) First the system checks whether a printer is set in the configuration "Printer-Movement". If so, the printer determination is complete at this point.
2) If not, the system uses the parameter "PriSrcTyp" defined in the configuration "Printer-Movement" to decide how it will proceed. If the parameter is set here, the system checks if a printer is defined in the setting "Printer Picking Area" and then proposes this printer.
3) If the system finds no printer, it searches in the setting "Printer - Storage Type" and uses this, if a printer is set.
4) If the system cannot find a printer using the methods described above it selects the printer defined in the user master of the user currently logged on.
5) If no printer is defined here, the system automatically proposes LP01
This writes the data to the spool file.

How to change the Portal Exception from the page

I want to remove the exception symbol in Portal.If no roles were assigned to a user you will get a page displaying that " No roles are assigned to the user please contact System Admin ".I have customizied this page ,changed the string (com.sap.
portal.navigation.portallauncher.par.).But now I want to remove the exception symbol (Red) from the page.Is it possible to remove the exception symbol only for the particular page?Can any one please guide me.

Getting Drop Down list for a field in portal based on the values in R/3

Hi,
Presently we were customizing the ESS>>Family Members/Dependants iview in Portal. Because of the design requirement, in R/3 we have added some custom field for infotype 21 (Family Member details Infotype). We have to display these field on portal in Family Member Iview.
However for these custom fields i am not able to get the drop down list with all the possible values description(F4 help ) in portal unlike the standard SAP fields.
I am able to display the codes but the description is not coming up for the fields. However for standard SAP field, only description comes.
For this I tried to attach the search help to the data element and also assigned a check table to the data element in R/3. But still I am not getting the description in the drop down.
So how can I get the description and only the description in the drop down.

When you run the Search hep is it giving the description or not
You have to create the serarch help with both the fieldname and its description field then we cna the values. Or
Try to mantain the text table for this field and get the data.
Get the valeusinto drop drown with this table Or create the SearchHelp for this text table
