To know my laptop is sufficient or not

my laptop specifications are
i5 3rd gen processor,4 gb ram,1 tb hard disk,1 gb graphic
is it sufficient to run premeirepro and after effects

Technically, it will work. But practically, it's way too slow: All mobile i5 CPUs have only two physical cores (albeit with hyper threading). 4GB of installed RAM is way too little to do much. What's more, if your i5 CPU has a "U" or "Y" at the end of its model number (as in i5-4200U), then it only supports single-channel memory operation, which in turn currently limits the maximum installable RAM to a single 8GB stick (which would then completely replace the existing installed 4GB stick).
Third, your laptop may not have any provision at all whatsoever to add additional fast disks (likely because the stock hard drive eats up the laptop's only internal bay, the laptop's optical drive is non-removable and your laptop has only USB 2.0 ports).
Finally, you did not mention which specific graphics chip your laptop is using. With that laptop any installed GPU will likely be so lousy (performance-wise) to begin with that you might as well permananently lock Premiere to the MPE software-only mode (no GPU acceleration whatsoever).
In other words, your laptop is a piece of junk (as far as practical performance in the Adobe CS and CC programs is concerned).

The serial number has nothing to do with this.

Reboot the TC.. Sometimes you need to reboot the whole network.
This is what comes of Lion and then made worse in Mountain Lion of Apple not spending enough time to fix the bugs.

As kb1951 states, unless this phone was purchased directly from Apple, it is not officially unlocked. In the US, only Apple sells officially unlocked iPhones. The message you got generally means your phone was hacked to unlock it...jailbroken...Apple's servers have detected such & are preventing your phone from activating...there's nothing wrong with the activation servers.
You'll need a sim card from the carrier your phone is locked to in order to activate it. If you don't know what carrier, you'll have to call AppleCare in the US to determine this info. Be aware, US carriers will not authorize official unlocking unless you are a customer that used the phone on their network. Thus, there is most likely no way for you to get this phone officially unlocked.
    Good luck.

  • Whats a good laptop to get thats not too expensive

Was just wondering whata good laptop to get that wont cost an arm and leg?

    Humerous, hehe.
In all seriousness, there are a variety of laptops that no doubt suit your needs wonderfully. You can definitely do a search on the Best Buy website under laptops and change the parameters to LOW TO HIGH. That will give you the cheapest laptops.
If you'd like to know which laptop will give you the best bang for the buck, so to speak, we'll need to know a little about what you intend to do with it? Give us a breakdown on your expected daily tasks - be it merely browsing the web and checking email, or playing games. (If games, which ones? Facebook style or more intense?)
I'm certain we can come up with something you'll really enjoy, if you'll spend a little time giving us more information!
Look forward to hearing from you!

Can you please provide some supports on this issue?

    KKSaran.

    Hi kksaran,
Welcome to the HP Forums!   I understand that you are having an issue with your mouse scrolling after upgrading to Windows 7. I will try my best to help you resolve this issue.
I suggest going to Device Manager and Mice and other pointing devices. Right click on your mouse and in the drivers tab, click on update driver.
If this does not resolve the issue then I suggest uninstalling and reinstalling the mouse.
Here is a document for Troubleshooting Device Drivers (Windows 7, Vista).
I hope this information helps, please let me know.

  • Hi, I planned to purchase a laptop for me to use for graphic design ..could let me know which laptop would be the best for me to use ? Thank you!

Hi, I planned to purchase a laptop for me to use for graphic design ..could let me know which laptop would be the best for me to use ? Thank you! Pro or Air

Someday - and no one knows when that day will come - maybe all applications will be able to take advantage of the Retina display. But for the present, not many do: including all Adobe applications. There was a demo of Photoshop at the Apple World Wide Developers Conference of Photoshop running at native Retina resolutions but no one at Adobe in marketing is saying when, if or how the upgrade may be coming. It could be a week, it could be a year, it could be 2-3 years. No one knows. And only Apple app's (for the main part) are really utilizing the native Retina display.
I've seen some demos of some applications (Apple's) that take advantage of the Retina display and they're awesome. But in actually working in the here-and-now I've heard quite a few gripes, particularly on the Photoshop forum, of menus looking pixelated and/or 'blurry' so I'm not quite ready to jump into the Retina display boat just now. Don't get me wrong - others have ad are very, very pleased with their selection. But until Retina displays are available on larger monitors, the maximum work area that you're going to be able to use is 15" - and that's simply not enough room for full-blown graphic design. Then there's the cost factor - for the $4,000+ you spend for a completely full-blown Retina kit, you can get a standard MacBook Pro, 16 GB of RAM, a fast SSD and even the Apple Thunderbolt Display for the same amount.
The standard MacBook Pro isn't better than the Retina display: it's just different. And I think (and this is only my opinion - other graphic designers should feel free to jump in here) that it's the best computer that you can get for your specific purposes. And, towards that goal, I have to recommend a very good external monitor (there's nothing more annoying than having to use InDesign in a single-page mode rather than side-by-side because your monitor isn't big enough).
Remember that this is only my opinion and that others might jump in with their own. But I was in the electronic pre-press business for more years than I care to admit and we always - always - worked with at least 19" monitors (and that's back when dinosaurs actually ruled the world).
I hope that others will jump in with their comments. I'm going to follow this thread and see!
    Good luck,
    Clinton

  • I need to know what laptop is better

I have to know what laptop would be better [specs wise] for playing games like call of duty, crysis, grand theft auto, etc...
The HP Pavilion DV6Z Quad Series or
    The HP Pavilion DV6T Series
Sorry if this is in the wrong section!
    Please reply ASAP

    Colin, welcome to the forum.
I moved your thread to the correct forum and section.
I realize that you are interested in the dv6t or dv6z series.  However, I would not recommend either for gaming.  The games that you want to play require some serious power to run properly.  I ran a search for gaming laptops.  Here are the two laptops that were recommended.  They cost more initially, but I feel that you would be far more satisfied with the performance and save money in the long run.
As a gamer myself, I am not a fan of using laptops for gaming.  They can have a problem with heating.  There is not much space in the case for cooling.  The two in the link provided would be my choice if I had to choose for myself.
If you have further questions, I would be glad to answer them.
Please let us know if this solves your problem or not.

I bought the external DVD player/burner for my Macbook.  I tried using it with my Dell laptop but it will not work.  Is it not configured to work with anything but apple operating systems?

If you purchased the Apple USB SuperDrive, it will only work with select Apple devices. It won't work, for example, on my Late 2011 model that has a SuperDrive built-in, but it will work with an Air, Retina model, new 'drive-less' iMacs, etc.
As far as I know, though, you can only hack the drive to work with some other Apple devices, but not with Windows PCs. Which is a shame as other, less expensive DVD/CD devices will work with just about any machine.
    Sorry,

  • Why will my iPad 2 not recognize any iPod cables? I have tried two different cables in both the wall and in my laptop, but it will not register that it is receiving power, nor will the laptop recognize that they are connected.

Why will my iPad 2 not recognize any iPod cables? I have tried two different cables in both the wall and in my laptop, but it will not register that it is receiving power, nor will the laptop recognize that they are connected.

Crizzo is right, the best way to charge is with the included power block. That said, the USB cords are interchangable as far as an of us know. (just not power bricks, iPhone and iPod bricks put out 5W of power, the iPad wants 10W and will always say 'not charging' if plugged into less power than it requires even though it will charge, just very slowly)
    If you have tried to charge your iPad - with the iPad charger - with multiple cables and multiple computers and get no joy then it's time to head to the apple store and have them check it out. The 30 pin USB port can go bad - mine did - and it's a manufacturer's defect (unless there's any sort of obvious damage) and should be covered under the warranty;

    Welcome to the Apple community.
A number of people have reported similar issues recently, many appear to have found a discrepancy of some kind in their account settings and making changes to these settings or simply resetting them has resolved the matter.
Check your account details are correct, check that you are using the correct details for Location, Region and Time Zone. You may want to change these settings and then change them back to see if that helps.
You might also try logging out of and then back into your iTunes account (Settings > iTunes Store > Apple ID’s > Sign Out) and restarting your router. (Some have reported that after doing this, they need to check for rentals even though it may report that there aren’t any, after which rentals once again appear in the ‘movies’ feature)
Rentals should appear under their own heading in the ‘Movies’ feature, you might also check at Settings > iTunes Store > Check For Rentals.

my usb that i have been using on my computer for a while suddenly stopped working, but is still glowing and letting me know that it is connected, but not showing up in disk utility

Either the physical drive or the enclosure electronics has failed. The light you are seeing is powered by the USB connection, the power, electricity, all USB ports put out. That doesn't mean the actual physical hard drive or the USB to SATA bus electronics are working properly. If it doesn't show in Disk Utility then it is DEAD.
Most of the time it is the enclosures electronics that fail. Removing the physical drive from the enclosure and put it in another enclosure or using a SATA to USB adapter, one that has it's own AC power supply, might allow you to get the files off the drive.
