To reinstall forms
Hi, I want to remove completely the existing forms in my PC and want to reinstall again.But all the folders are not deleted and when I am tring to install I am getting an error and quiting from setup.
So, please suggest me how to remove the existing forms and have new installation and later how to connect it to database.
If you have access to metalink, there is information there on removing Forms.

Forms builder 6i starts in minimized window

After a properly working installation of Forms builder I suddenly got Forms Builder (version 6.0.8.18.3 on win 2000) as a minimized window (just an icon on the taskbar/Quick Launch) when starting ifbld60.exe. Unable to maximize it to a window on desktop useful for my purpose. Why is it so ? The only changes on my PC are the frequently Windows Update from Microsoft
Tried to reinstall Forms from CD without success.
Runform, Reports and other programs are working OK.

How to configure a forms 6i server
Hi
I am trying to configure an oracle 6i server for a college project and need some help. I have the documentation but its very confusing and not beginner orientated!
I am using windows XP. The forms server 6i,Apache and Jinitiator are installed in the following folders all on the same machine:
C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Apache2.2
C:\orant\FORMS60\server
C:\orant\jinit
How do i configure the Forms Server? I am connecting to a database over a network and the forms i am using are in the folder:
C:\orant\FORMS60\server
What environment variables should i change and to what?
What modifications should i make to the configuration files generated by th oracle installer i.e formsweb.cfg,base.htm and basejini.htm
As you can see i really need your help. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

With this URL, "http://web1/servlet/f60servlet?form=fae1de01.fmx" I am not getting any error. But the browser only shows ORACLE FORM SERVER as the page title and nothing else happens.
Please tell me why?
The form fae1de01.fmx is the FORM60_Path that I have set in DEFAULT.ENV.The jserv.log file shows no errors and the html source show:

Reinstallation of oracle forms
pls i would like someone to tell me how i can reinstall oracle forms 6i and 9i i need it urgently.
i tried all i could but no success

What is your NLS_LANG setting?
Search for the missing file on the installation CD and copy it to where all the rest of the fmr*.res files are on your computer. -

Installing Leopard From An External Hard Drive
Hi everyone,
It's been a long journey trying to get my mac fixed after it started acting up and obviously since I am posting here it is not fixed yet. I need to re-install os x on an external drive and it is telling me that I have to erase everything on the disk before I can install it, but I need everything on the external hard drive and paid the stupid geek squad 100+ $ just to put my stuff on it. I guess my question is: Is there any way to not have to erase everything on my external hard drive to install os x properly again?
I have an iomega external drive if that makes a difference.Having all your data backed up is the best thing you could have done before doing anything else (but you probably knew that).
Reinstalling form an external drive is sort of right - you may want to look here

But if you're short on time you can insert the CD/DVD that came with your Mac and hold down the C key when you reboot. This will bot your Mac from that disk rather than your internal HD. Select the language once it boots, then choose DiskUtility from the Utilities menu. Try selecting the repair disk option. If that works, you'll be good to go. If that fails, you can choose the erase and install option. Once that [roces is complete, you can copy your data back to the internal HD.
However, if your internal HD is bad, or there is some other hardware problem, you'll be back where you started, and a call to Apple, an Apple Store, or an Apple repair shop may be in order.

Cannot attach PL/SQL library APPCORE... forms6i
Hello,
I am trying to open the template.fmb form and I cannot seem to get forms to recognize the FORMS60_PATH variable in the registry.
I transferred (in binary) all the .pll files from $AU_TOP/resource to a local directory ORACLE_HOME\FORMS60\resource.
I transferred (in binary) TEMPLATE.fmb and APPSTAND.fmb to the same directory.
I set the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORACLE\FORMS60_PATH to 'C:\oracle\ora806\FORMS60\resource' (without the quotes).
I added HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORACLE\ORACLE_APPLICATION and set it to 'TRUE'
I added the FORMS60_PATH to the system variable file in windows to 'c:\oracle\ora806\FORMS60\resource'.
I rebooted the machine.
I am still getting the same error message.
I reinstalled forms so that it was the only Oracle product on my machine.

I installed Forms and Reports 6.0 runtime on the end-user's
desktop. When the user tried to run the report an error message
was generated which looked like:
REP- 0108: File "rwbdexpq" not found.
The alert has an OK and Help buttons. When the user clicked the
OK button, the report was generated fine. Clicking the Help
button did not help much. I tried reinstalling Forms and Reports
6.0 (runtime only), but the user is getting the same error
message.
Significantly, I did not get any error message when I ran it
from my desktop. Is it because I failed to install a particular
file on the user's desktop or is it a bug?
Any help is appreciated.

It's not a bug. Just you have to install it properly and make
sure all dll files are copied to your oracle_home\bin. Some extra
dll files you need to copy from cd. From last 5 months I am using
Developer 6.0.5 .
Just check for all dll.

Printing problem in reports 6i
hi, i dont know where to post this quastion, but please please i need help
i have created an application using forms & reports 6i and database 9i,in this application i run a report which prints an id card
i use card printer ( fargo cardpro printer) to print this report, and it is working fine
recently i started to use a new card printer (zebra P12i)
when ever i give the printing request the report get stuk and my application closes and i get this message ( Reports background engine has encountered a problem and needs to close , we are sorry for the inconvenience)
i compiled the report and tried again, reinstalled forms and reports again , i changed my PC, but still i have the same problem.Post your question under "Reports" forum, you would probably get a better response there:

Flashing Pixels (Bad Video) Apple please help!

I have these incessant flashing Green/blue pixels in windows through boot camp which makes it intolerable to use. It does this with the built in display but not with the extended display which I use on 270 degree orientation so I can't use that instead.
Seems to be a huge number of people in that post with this complaint and my situation fits it exactly. It used to work fine and at some point (not sure which update exactly due to infrequent use at the time) it went bad. Nothing I do will fix it. I've even wiped the HD, repartitioned, reinstalled windows on boot camp and then restored my OSX with Time Machine... Allot of hassle for no results. Only saving grace was Time Machine with the OSX side of that effort.
I want to know why apple refuse to even comment on this and maybe offer some thoughts on this? Maybe a fix even? Instead of locking the topic and shutting us up instead of working with us. What's next? A cover up to hide the fact? Maybe Apple should just delete the complaints from the support forums.
Apple, please help, this is beyond tolerable and I need boot camp for a couple of Windows Only apps. If I had a choice I would defiantly use OSX versions.
Just a side not. When I wiped the HD and went to reinstall form the backup the OSX installer recognized the destination and source but refused to run the restoration. I shut the whole thing down and started again and it worked fine.

Depends - did your computer come with restore disks? If so then you either have to pruchase form the App store or call Apple and purchase new restore didks
If it did not come with resotre disks and you accepted the Apps form the App store tehn you can reinstall form teh purchased list in the App store
If you have purchased an iLife upgrade DVD then you must hav eit or pruchase a new one

Iphoto app and Contacts List vanished
Dear Apple,
My iPhoto app and Contacts list have disappeared from both my desktop and my Time Machine ( recently restored my internal harddrive from external HD ).
1) Can I select just iPhoto for installation from the system disk ?
2) I can highlight my complete Contacts list from several weeks ago in Time Machine, but when restored to today, the desired target ( Contacts ) is grayed out. Do I need to create a temporary "Contacts*" app to be later renamed without a distinctive character ? I have created "Contacts" folder, which is unrecognized by Mail.
Any guidance would be appreciated.

Elgato support tells me to make a test: reinstall former version of EyeTV and if the problem remains then it proves that the bug is in Apple products ! I don't have time to make test they should do themselves. If they did the test, they could almost write to their customers that the bug exist so nobody lost it's time to found what he did wrong.
