To remove all of one color in an image on Elements 5.0

Hi. I've got a sprite sheet with a Bright green background and I use the Magic wand tool but then there's areas that still have some green in them in the sprites and I don't want to have to keep using the magic wand tool over and over again. Please help me out.

Stick, assuming the Replace Color function is available in PSE5 (I have PSE6), it should do the trick. Go to Enhance>Adjust Color>Replace Color...Make sure Preview is checked so you can see the immediate results. Select the middle (+) eye dropper and click on the green background of your image. Move the sliders in the Replacement box to get the background you want. For example, move the Lightness slider all the way to the right for a white background. Continue to click the areas you want to replace if necessary.

  • Remove all of one color, is this possible?

I have a photo of an army battalion from 1980 and it has little orange spots in random places all over the photo. It looks like it got sprayed with orange soda. Is there a way to remove the orange without removing each one one at a time? Any suggestions would be great, I will try ANYTHING! Thanks!

Here you go, well, you get the idea although it is quite pixelated once I converted it down to lower res. The orange spots don't obscure the picture but my client wants them all removed, especially on the faces. Any thoughts? Thanks!

  • Officejet pro 8600 plus e-all-in-one color managment problem.

please help, I'm a photographer and I own officejet pro 8600 plus e-all-in-one printer. I want to print my photos using this printer, but it never print them right, so I bought Colormunki photo to calibrate my monitor and my printer and match them together. The problem is I can't control the printer color management  !!! I want to disable it, so I can use the printer profile in Photoshop or other applications to get the right prints. my prints are darker when I set the color management to be handled by the application, or I make the printer handle it but I will end up with wrong colors. I really really need to change the profile of the printer. how ?????? otherwise I really have no use of it in my work.

    Jassim,
Kudos to you for figuring out how to better control the outcome for what you require.
I have learned something new today.  Smiling!
Did you create the new profile manually or add it in from a previously saved setting?  Filename / filetype?
It has been a while since I used Photoshop.  I am thinking I may take another look at my old favorite.

  • HP 8500 All In One COLOR print issues

My all in one will not print in color, I have just replaced all of the cartridges and even ran a TEST page and all other available diagnostic functions with no success. I also checked the print options to be sure COLOR was selected and everything including the print test comes out in BLACK only. Even the color level test prints in BLACK for all cartridges ...
    Any suggestions on this issue.
I have tried printing documents from Word, Publisher and every other program with no success.
    Thank you!

    hi,
It seems to me that there could be a problem with the Magenta/Cyan Printhead of your printer. Try to perform the steps of cleaning the contacts of the printhead and of the printer, click here. After cleaning the contacts, try to print a diagnostic page to see if your printer will now print color. If issue persisted, then i believe you need to replace the Magenta/Cyan printhead.
Contact HP tech support at 1-800-474-6836 for any suggestions regarding this matter, they might be able to replace the printhead of your printer if your machine is still under warranty.
    Hope these would help you!

  • I have an HP 1400 all in one color printer that doesn't print

Suddenly this printer takes forever to print the "test" page and will not print from the computer. Yes, it is properly "hooked" up. I really like this printer and would hate to think that HP has become a throw away company. What can I do to diagnose this problem? It uses cartridges 21 b and 22 color.

    Hi,
You could try this link that gives information about print jobs not printing:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c02205477&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&product=441...
If you expand on the relevant operating system it should guide you through using the print diagnostic utility.
You also mentioned that the printer is taking a long time to print a test page so this link may be useful:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/documentSubCategory?tmp_rule=53232&tmp_task=solveCategory&lc=en&d...
Please go to the section on slow printing.
    I hope that this helps.

  • How do I find all of one color in a line drawing and replace it with another color?

Greetings, I'd like to replace this goat-puke green color with "black."
I have tried everything, but can't find the right command. I'm sure that nothing could be easier, but I'm stumped and will probably smack myself in the head when I see the answer.  lol  Please help.
    Cheers. - Frank

    Ctrl-shift-u (windows) cmd-shift-u(mac) - desaturates
    ctrl-i(windows) cmd-i(mac) - inverts
    ctrl-l(windows) cmd-l(mac) - levels
In the levels dialog box there are three triangles in the middle window, drag the far left triangle towards the right until your text is completely black. Oh yeah this also takes your black background and makes it white BTW the effect of the invert command.

  • Looking for a new printhead for a mp830 all-in-one. For edible imaging.

I am looking to get into starting a small bakery out of my home. I have done some reseach on some edible image printers and seen that the canon prixma mp830 is a good one and was highly recommented . But I bought it 2nd hand and have no idea were to find a new printer head . I can not use the one I have in it now . Does anyone have any idea where or if it will work?

    Hi newbaker09,
Canon does not recommend the use of edible ink or icing sheets for use in any of its range of Bubble Jet Printers. The printers are not designed to print with edible inks or to be used with edible icing paper.
Canon has not approved or tested edible inks or icing sheets.
Standard inks (either Canon manufactured inks or other third party inks) are not safe to digest and immediate medical advice should be sought if this were to happen.
If the use of such inks or media were contemplated then extreme caution should be taken to avoid cross contamination with the standard inks and to avoid contact with any of the printer internal components that could contain substances, which may be transferred onto the icing sheet.
In addition to the potential health and safety aspects, the use of these edible inks or icing sheets in your printer could result in reduced print quality, clogging of the printer's system or even damage to the printer's components.

  • Assign More Than One Color to an Image?

Is there a way to do so?
    Thanks,
    Russ

    No, there is not (unfortunately).
I believe this is actually an OS limitation, since the color labels are shared with Finder.

  • How to remove all colors but one, or perhaps two, w/ everything else B & W?

Hi! I have the latest Final Cut Studio and I'm trying to figure out how best to make everything black and white except for deep reds. I might light to add deep blues or "ripple of gold color" here and there, but the first step is understanding a good work flow for getting all but one color. Any suggestions? Much thanks!!!!!!

Hello, I have a similar question to a previous post about desaturating specific colors. I'm editing together live footage from multiple cameras for a Concert shoot and two of the four have black clothing showing up as a "purple-y red". How can I select only a specific range of colors in one locked area (So as not to affect the lights in the background which are displaying the proper red/purple colors) and adjust it to be more black without making the entire shot look overly colored/contrasted?
Sorry if this is easy but I'm new to Color and FCP wasn't much help w/ it's simple color correction effects.
    Thanks!

  • Looking for Lion compatible All-in-One printer

Looking for MacBook Pro Lion compatible All-in-One color printer for my Mom who is 77 and on a limited income when it comes to purchasing ink. Preferred options include wi-fi, auto duplex, memory card slots, easy to operate. I was leaning toward a Kodak printer but majority of reviews indicate when any one of the ink cartridges is empty no more print jobs will process until the empty cartridge is replaced. In addition, folks indicate even though ink is less expensive, replacemnet is more frequent indicating that perhaps the cartridge capacity is smaller in size. Both are deal breakers. Canon PIXMA MX892 Wireless and the HP Envy series both appear impressive but I am confused regarding compatibility with Lion. Appreciate experienced recommendations, Thanks

    ChrisPbass,
I would suggest contacting HP Home & Home Office. They will be able to narrow down the field to what would be best for your particular use. There number is below.

  • How to remove all changes made to an image in Camera Raw -

In CS4 with latest ver. of Camera Raw, I think there is a way to remove all changes previously made to an image while using Camera Raw.
In other words after doing this the little icon in the upper right hand corner of an image in Bridge that indicates changes have been applied to an image, should be gone. Another way of asking this would be to say, how can I start all over again with the original image in Camera Raw by removing all changes prefiously made to it in Camera Raw?
    TIA

Sorry, I don't know the answer to that for sure*.  As a certified old geezer who avoids cluttering his mind with stuff that can easily be looked up in a menu, I stay away from keyboard shortcuts as much as I can, using only those applicable system wide, the most obvious ones in Photoshop like deselect, etc.
    * However, since no such shortcut appears next to the menu command, I doubt there is one.
You could create an action and assign it a key command, though.  Doh!
Never mind.  That was a total brain short circuit.  You can't create actions in Bridge.  You'll need a script.  Ask in the Bridge Scripting forum.

  • Best All-In-One Printer for MacBookPro & Airport Express

I want to buy an all-in-one color printer for my office. My main computer is a new MacBook Pro with the latest OS, and my network runs on an Airport Express. I want all of the computers on the Express network to be able to print, scan, fax. etc. through the wireless network. I want a work-horse printer that has a low cost-per-page to print, I don't need a photo-quality printer. Any suggestions? I can't get my current HP LaserJet 1320tn to work at all through the Express.

    "Different strokes for different folks."
Read the reviews & system requirements of all the printers you are interested in purchasing.  My personal preference is Epson.

  • Scanning from all-in-one printer to Elements

I have a Dell 4000 desktop computer, running Windows 7, 32-bit version, an Epson Stylus SX515W all in one printer/scanner etc, and Photoshop Elements 6.  I am told that I cannot scan from my Epson scanner to Elements 6, and that I will need Photoshop Elements 10 to do this.
    1. Is this correct?
    2. If so, do I have to buy a full version of Elements 10, or can I buy an upgrade?
    3. If only an upgrade is needed, what is it called, what will it cost and where can I download it from?
    4. If I have to buy the full version of Elements 10, will I need any other software to get it to scan images from my Epson Stylus SX515W?
    5. Where do I have to look to find your reply?
    Best wishes

    Hi Nick,
First of all I would like to inform that PSE 6 is not tested on Win 7 and is very old version.
In order to scan  from PSE, you will need Twain plugin which is required to scan from within Adobe Applications.
To check if you already have twain or not, follow this :
    Navigate to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 6.0\Plug-Ins\Import-Export\
If you find a file called "Twain", then you should be able to scan, if not then you have to download Twain from here : http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/thankyou.jsp?ftpID=4688&fileID=4376
Save the file, unzip it and then follow these steps :
    Close PSE 6.
After that , navigate to PSCS5OptionalPlugins_Win_en_US\PSCS5OptionalPlugins_Win_en_US\Optional Plug-Ins\Win32, here you will find Twain_32.8BA file
Copy this file and then paste under  : C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 6.0\Plug-Ins\Import-Export\
Launch PSE 6 and check if you get the option to scan under File >> Import menu
If the above solution doesnt work, then you may have to ugrade to PSE 10.
The price for upgrade is $79.99 and full price is $99.99
You can purchase full and upgrade both from Adobe.com website
    Thanks,
    Baljeet
