To reset oc4jadmin pwd
Hi
I lost my password for oc4jadmin account in SOA suite. i didnt created any other account with admin privilege. How to recover it? Do we have option to reset it from outside?
suggestions pls...

4. If you have the proper privileges, Enterprise Manager displays the Administrator Credentials page, which lists OC4J instances in the cluster.
5. Select one or more of the OC4J instances and click Set Administrator Credentials.
6. Enter the user name and password of an Application Server Control account with ascontrol_admin (super administrator) privileges.
7. Click OK to enable remote management of the instance.
After you perform this task, all Application Server Control administrators can manage the remote Oracle Application Server instance, as well as the administrative instance.
* Changing credentials directly to the oc4jadmin user
1. Go to Application Server Control (OEM)
2. Click on the OC4J instance. Please note that the OC4J instance must be up and running
3. Go to Administration tab
4. Expand > Administration Tasks > Security
5. Click on the "Go to Task" icon against Security Providers
6. Click on the Instance Level Security button
7. Click on the Realms tab
8. Click Users link against "jazn.com" Realm
9. Now click oc4jadmin user
10. Use the Change Password fields to update to a new password.

I have a EP7 SP18 Portal .
The portal UME is Readonly Microsoft LDAP + UME Database.
I have a user named testuser which exists in Both the UME's.
the testuser of LDAP is locked through Portal User admin.
Now whenever the testuser tries to logon to portal,he gets User Authentication Failed message.
The failed logon attempt info is not reflcted in User Account details.when viewd through portal user admin.
if Administrator resets the Password of testuser in portal,then user is able to logon to the portal using this password.
Next day,again same thing happens.
what can be the reason behind this ?

Dears,
I forgot the password in one of the my workspaces.
So, I pushed Reset password link and got a new password.
On the first page I inserted my workspace name, username, and a new password.
On the second one APEX asked me to change my current password.
I inserted my new password which I had got in e-mail in the first field and
a new my password in the 2 and 3 fields.
Unfortunately system returned me error message:
"Invalid Password"
Could you check, what is wrong?

Dear All,
Is it possible to send email notification to users when unlocking or reseting the password using Su01 in SAP .
I think with workflow it can be achived . I like to know if it can be done with any inbuilt funtionality of SAP.

I forget my root pwd in RHEL 6 Linux.
I have installed Virtual box in my laptop and installed RHEL 6.
While trying to login with single user mode it shows this error "error. unexpectedly disconnected from boot status daemon".
Step i followed to restet my root pwd.
1. GNU Grab window
2. pressed ' a ' and entered single to login in single mode user
<hkernal =auto rhgb quiet
i tried with,
<hkernal =auto rhgb quiet 1
<hkernal =auto rhgb quiet single
3. some it shows "error. unexpectedly disconnected from boot status daemon"
4. if you tried few more time shows below
Telling INIT to go to single user mode

5. i entered passwd root cmd also nothing happened to reset the pwd.
[root@ram /] # passwd root

6. tried with su -l
[root@ram /] # su -l

WebI report not refreshed after BW pwd change - SAP EP-KM asPoint of entry
Config:
BOXI3.1 SP3 FP3
INTG. KIT SP3 FP3
BW 7.01 SP5
SAP EP 6.0
Imported all transports
Configured BW Publisher
Configured SAP Authentication in CMC
Imported required roles in CMC
Imported KM Par file in Portal
Issue:
Users logon to EP with SAP BW credentials and clicks on a webi report within KM with Infoview structure -> report is executed and can be refreshed successfully.
User forgets his pwd and the security team reset his pwd
User logon to SAP EP with reset initial pwd and gets a prompt to enter new pwd -> new pwd chosen and logon successful -> clicks on a report within KM with Infoview structure -> report pops up but can not be refreshed as an error msg below pops up
A database error occured.
The database error text is: Unable to connect to SAP BW server Name or password is incorrect (repeat logon). (WIS 10901)
Temporary solution:
Logon to Infoview directly and login with SAP account -> report executed and refreshed successfully -> Logout
Then go back to EP to execute report and since then works fine but issue occurs again if pwd is changed and logon to Infoview directly process have to be done to move on.
Has anybody had these issues or have an idea what config might be missing?
Please note that SNC was not configured as we are not using AD for logon or report bursting for now. All docs read have specified that SNC is not required for my scenario.
Also certificates have been established btw BW and EP and SSO works well with BEX queries deployed thru EP.
Any ideas will be appreciated.

If I clear the error msg and continue to click on refresh values in prompt screen multiple times then the bw account gets locked in SAP BW backend.
Please note that the universe was created to use SSO authentication and no user credentials hardcoded.
FQDN are also used for all the configs.
Has anybody encountered these issues before? Please let me know if you have any ideas or pointers.

Hello everyone!
Im trying to figure out why password reset is failing all the time. We have two servers in our environment. 1 for FIMSync and service, and 1 for SSPR. There is no firewall on, DCOM and WMI is verified, SPN is all setup, SSPR registration is working fine.
When we try to reset a pwd we reach the SSPR portal just fine, type in username, receive a OTP on SMS, type in new password twice and then hit an error. From the event log on SSPR server this is the only thing going on: (There is no event on the FIMSync
server).
Failure to connect to FIM Service
The web portal failed to connect to the FIM Service.
Ensure that (1) the FIM Service is running, (2) the FIM Service server address is correct in the web.config file on the web portal, and (3) that network connectivity is available between the web portal and the FIM Service over the designated port.

Hi, I have an urgent issue on production ;).
We have just a small number of users currently live using EP 7.0.
Unfortunatly one of them lost/forgot his pwd. I tried now to set back his pwd in the user administration but the user receives no email although all ume settings are like that and the smtp is entered (in the UME configuration under System Administration).
Is there anyone outthere who knows the following:
1) is there a possibility to overwrite an user pwd....(so that I can communicate the pwd)
2) is there anything else that has to be configured so that notification works

yes that is something which I have done already but here we have the issue.
1) I am not able to set a pwd by myself meaning a new pwd is created
2) although the ume is configured to send a notification when pwd is reset the user does not receive one....
(Tests showed that a notification is sent when a new user is created so our configuration is correct.)
That´s why I am asking whether there is a possibility to overwrite the pwd by myself not to reset the pwd.
Looking into the portal one can see that the entry field for entering the pwd is not active.

I remembered a while ago I used delegate control to assign the ability to reset pwd and reset change on next logon. It seems to work for some users but not others in same ou. effective permissions shows I have write access to the attribute for
the user; see imgur link below. the box for change pwd at next logon is gray. attribute editor tab doesn't allow me to edit it either. domain admins can change it. I'm wondering what else I should check out cus everything I know says

The command completed successfullyI think this is a problem with the user object rather than the ou. Reasoning is that I can reset a password for a user in the same OU but not for another user in the same OU. Two users, same ou. I can reset one but not the other.
Effective Permissions shows I am granted permisiion to do so.
I believe the error was access denied when we tried to change the password via vbscript.
@seansobey - I applied the delegation at a ou higher in the tree. I forget how I had it apply down the tree but I confirmed that the acl is correct
and applied to the user
@Travis Vogel - It looks like the user with this problem is a part of Domain Users. I think the ACL is applied to the user because it shows in
the security window and effective permissions shows I have permission to reset the password. However, I see this other user is a part iof the builtin user group and the problematic user account is not. I may try adding the problematic user account
to that group and testing. It'll have to wait until tomorrow though. -

I've worked in past creating/importing SWCV, but this is new system PI7.0 and stuck.
A) Is my understanding on resolution correct?
Should I go and apply notes 940309 and create client copy of existing client 001
OR
change role of client 001; SXMB_ADMIN -> 'Integration Engine Configuration' to 'Integration Server'
I have no problem in using client 001 as Integration server, all I want is import of SWCV to work. Thanks. Appreciate the help.
B) Here is what I have done and the error:
1) Followed weblog below and created product, software component, technical system, business sytem in SLD.

Below are the points checked from the forum and all steps are correct, but still have issues with the import
1) check the RFCs SAPSLDAPI, LCRSAPRFC, connection test pass as the program ID registered with Jco
2) T-code SLDCHECK no errors (followed http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/de/78/20244134a56532e10000000a1550b0/content.htm)
3) T-code SLDAPICUST got user PIAPPLUSER, pwd is correct (reset the pwd)
4) logged using PIAPPLUSER http://server:port/sld and it works
5) One of the weblog SLD Check Failed (LCR_LIST_BUSINESS_SYSTEMS function doesn't work) referred to apply notes 940309

You don't want to use the default client 001, but another client as Integration Server.applied portion (PIPostInstallProcess) of OSS notes 940309 and it resolved.
Note:
I still retained client 001 and didn't do client copy as mentioned in the notes. The wizard based CTC tool helped. Here are the details if someone has similar issue and want to know further details:
A NetWeaver Process Integration (PI) Installation (ABAP+Java) has two parts: Installation and configuration. The former is done by the Installer, the latter by the 'Central Template Configuration' (CTC) Tool.

1. Call the wizard-based configuration tool as described in Configuration Wizard.
2. Select the scenario PI and the task PIPostInstallProcess.
3. Choose Execute.
A list of the steps to be executed by the wizard is displayed.
4. Choose Install.
