To sort in numbers, not possible
I had no problems to sort in numbers. But now the option is grey, not available. Any idea what to do? I didn´t merge cells.

How have you been sorting in the past?
To lock a table you select the table, the menu item "Arrange > Lock".
You can select the menu from the column menu:
OR you can open the reorganize panel by selecting the menu item "Table > Show Reorganize Panel"

I've been trying to get the spreadsheet in numbers to be portrait rather than landscape, but cannot seem to be able to work out how. Maybe it's not possible, does anyone know how?

I have the CFFORM and CFTREE tag in the top function and the
code that generate CFTREEITEM in a subfunction, but I got the
following error:

It seems that ColdFusion doesn't recognize that calling code
is already nested inside a CFTREE tag in the top function. I

Any way to modify an app to another sort of readable (not from ipod/ipad) document?
i downloaded an app - it's a shopping guide i wrote - is there any way to change the file type so that i can view it as a pdf or any other sort of readable (not from ipod/ipad) document?
No, that is not possible. If you wrote the app, though, then you have all the content. You'll need to take that content and assemble it into a document which you can then turn into a PDF. You might want to consider recasting your app as an iBook. With iBooks Author you can create interactive books as well as PDFs of the same content.

BDC transaction "The function is not possible"

However, when I run the program. It shows an error "The function is not possible". But when I press the "Save" button manually, the function passed and result is saved. Just do not know what happens.

MIRO - Posting with trans.type 159 not possible (No acquisition posted)
Hi all,
I have a case where an asset PO was created with multiple account assignment in one line item. For example, purchase 10 pc of printer with 10 asset numbers specified in the account assignment tab. By standard SAP, the GR is non-valuated.
The GR of the PO was done in the previous period. Now, when the invoice is to be posted thru MIRO. The system generate error message to me. The error message is "Posting with trans.type 159 not possible (No acquisition posted)" and message number is AA324.
The reason of this error is due to no acquisition date in the asset master. GR is non-valuated hence, the acquisition date is not populated in the asset as well. I believe this is quite a common problem. Kindly advise any workaround solution.

Try bios Hard Drive test to ensure hdd is ok.
If U have OS cd/dvd try from it.

If it wont be possible contact HP - Ur serial should defined in their system.

How can I sort in Numbers 3.0? All data are getting rolled around!

And that's the result.Can't see the what's in the screenshot very well, but here's one way to sort in Numbers 3.0. The menu popped up after I clicked the triangle by D.
If you're sorting cells with formulas in them, here's a heads up that the sorting behavior has been changed from Numbers 2.3. It now closely matches the sorting behavior of Excel and other spreadsheets.
If you're trying to sort by more than one column, say first by Name then by RP then by LP, unfortunately Numbers 3.0 does not have that functionality built-in to the interface the way Numbers 2.3 did. But there's a fairly easy workaround. Set up a new column E and fill it with the formula =A&C&B, and then just sort by column E.
Here you seem to have numbers in B and C, in which case if you need a multicolumn sort your formula gets a little more involved because you have to pad the numbers with leading zeros so they sort correctly. This is easily done with something like this in column E: =A&RIGHT("00000"&C,4)&RIGHT("00000"&B,4) .

Is it so difficult to let things, that are quite good, just there where they are??
After updating my iTunes, OS Lion and some other stuff 2 days ago, I have now a big problem with a smart Playlist in iTunes 10.6. Before updating all things was right.
The problem: Now, AFTER UPDATE, my Playlist ist totally empty!
Before they were over 2000 songs in it.
And because this is my major-smart-Playlist, which is established to my whole other Smart-Playlists, the other ones are also empty.
And this is not the first time Apple.
It´s good, if you - apple guys - just added something like new categories to sort of music (like "iCloud-Status" or some others).
BUT WHAT DID YOU THINK, WHEN YOU DELETED THE OPTION "VALUATION" - mh??? (I hope in english this is the word that used in Itunes - my iTunes is in German)
So I don´t mean the "lines" - I don´t know the right english word - when you see the music. There you can fade in "Album-Valuation" - new - AND "Valuation" - old.
But I mean in the options of the smart-playlists - THERE ARE ONLY "Album-Valuation"!!!!! What the heck....
EVERYONE NEEDS THE NORMAL Song-"Valuation" - and not the album (because normaly you decide by each track how good he is and not by the whole album).
You can let the Album ones in it, BUT PLEASE BRING THE NORMAL ONE BACK.
So, in my case, I tried to go back to iTunes 10.5.3 with my nice Time-Machine-Backup. So, but I couldn´t because there came a bug-message that said something like "It is not possible because OSX need the Programm".
What is that?
I also couldn´t delete the iTunes app from my app-folder.
So, and now?
I had to totally restore my volume !
What is that for a solution?!
So please think before you delete any functions, who is needed by many people.
And if you did, maybe ask some users, that uses for example smart-playlists alot, if there is a problem about some changes, you want to add.
I hope anyone from Apple read this and also answer me. Because I´m upset about that.
In every iTunes-Update I am concerned about what will be after the update.
For example in the past, there was more than one changes in iTunes with the Valuation. First, there was just whole stars to set for every song. Than, after a long time, Apple decided to give the options for also half stars. So I said to myself - hey that´s great, that I don´t have to use external apps anymore to set these. So I did this to many of my songs (and that´s many).
Than - after an Update - wow, all half stars rating are gone ! Great Apple, really great.
I was VERY upset.
So after an other update, the opportunity to give half stars are back.
I thought, my god, it is so difficult to talk with other guys, that worked before on iTunes if I am new or just to look if there was already a change in that part of the app???
So, apple guys, please don´t think that I want to attack you. But please be more carefull in the future. I hope that I don´t have to worry too much about so stuff. I really have better things to do with my time.

That error message can be misleading. It means, that iPhoto on your Mac is not associated with your Apple ID.
Either you did not set up your Mac using the same Apple ID - did someone help with your setup and use a different ID? Perhaps a family member? Or did you let someone borrow your installer disks?
Or did you not yet "Accept" iPhoto and other iLife apps to your Apple ID? Check the "Purchased" tab of the App Store, if any applications are waiting to be accepted. If you see "Accept" buttons, press them.
You may be unable to "Accept" now, if you missed the update to iphoto 9.5.1 on Mavericks. You could try to buy iPhoto, however. If you are lucky, it may show for free.
Backup your iPhoto library, if you do not have a current backup.
Uninstall iPhoto by deleting it from the Applications folder, but do not empty the Trash, so you can put it back,if need be.
Launch the App Store, click the "Store" menu, and sign in with your current AppleID.
Open the main page "Featured" of the App Store and search for iPhoto.
If iPhoto is listed as "Free", click the "Free" button to buy it with your current AppleID.

Na origem do seu problema podem estar várias causas. Nomeadamente:
O ficheiro (arquivo) que está a ler pode não ser texto, ou seja, pode ser texto transformado em imagem e exportado como PDF.
A aplicação de destino (onde está a tentar colar o texto copiado) pode não aceitar a colagem de texto formatado.
A aplicação que está a utilizar para abrir os ficheiros PDF pode não ser indicada para certo tipo de documentos. Experimente o iBooks, o Dropbox ou até mesmo o seu e-mail.
No caso de nenhuma destas causas estar na origem do seu problema, forneça, por favor, mais informações sobre a origem do ficheiro (descarga pelo Safari, Mail ou outro) bem como o destino (documento Pages, Keynote ou Numbers ou outra aplicação que não o iWork).

Pages Page Numbering not working correctly in iOS 5.01
Whenever I set up Auto Numbering for a Page footer in Pages, it gives me high negative numbers instead of real page number or counts. I'll get -23829839282 or -2893282922 of -2973287372 instead of Page 2, or Page 2 of 4.
This works in the Desktop Pages, just not the iOS one. On my iPad, this makes using the page numbering function useless. Take note, this function was working before I upgraded from 4.3.3.It sounds as if you are starting with a Left Hand Facing page (inside cove page?). Hence, the head scratching for ForwardSpread. I've only had a need to do this once, this week. UnCheck allow pages to Shuffle (counter-intuitive to me) and drag page icons if it siuts your view.
Facing pages is not necessary to accomplish your book document, but is more a visual assistance in layout and possibly items crossing the spine. If it helps, and I think not, you can turn it off in the Document Setup; be mindful of anything crossing the spine.
The MOVE work-around - if you indeed have Auto Numbering on, possibly the documents or the indb book filehave some corruption. You can create a new Book and load the existing documents to it relatively quickly; Moving pages from one doc to another would eliminate any document corruption. (You would need to define Auto Numbering in the new document(s))
Can you post a screen shot of Chapter2 or Chapter3 Page Numbering option? (btw, you mentiond Chapter 2 was fine; I'm going to refer to the files as listed in your original post)
