To start CX module in ASA5515-X after shutting it down

Dear All,
I have shutdown the CX module on my ASA5515-X firewall through the cli command "sw-module module cxsc shutdown" my question is how can start the CX module without reloading the whole ASA5515-X box alltogether? Is there any CLI command that will boot or start the CX module?
Sincerely,
Ragheb

Hi Marvin,
Thanks a million the CLI module reset command worked and CX status has been started succesfully.

    Hey HJA96,
Thanks for the question. I understand that your MacBook Pro is booting to a gray screen. The following article addresses this symptom, and provides relevant troubleshooting information:
Mac OS X: Gray screen appears during startup
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2570
    Some of the steps included:
    - Disconnect, test peripheral devices and network cables
    - Perform a Safe Boot
    - Reset the NVRAM / PRAM
    - Start from your Mac OS X Install disc; use Disk Utility
    - Check your cables and power source
    - Remove third-party RAM and internal hardware
    - Perform an Archive and Install installation of Mac OS X
    - Perform an Erase and Install installation of Mac OS X as a last resort
(See article for full information on all of the above)
    Thanks,
    Matt M.

  • I can't RDP my VM anymore suddently after shutting it down for one day

I can't RDP my machine suddenly after shutting it down for one day. can anyone help please ?
If it's this reliable we don't need it but we will make this decision later. we prepared this machine for demo today spending one week on it and today when we need it, its not working. typical microsoft product.

    Hi,
Which region is that VM in? In addition, what error messaga have you recieved when you connected into the VM?
Firstly, I recommend you to check the quick glance of the VM to make sure that all the parameters are displaying. If not, please restart it to see if the issue persists.
In addition, you can refer to the article below for troubleshooting:

  • Why won't my Time capsule power on after shutting itself down?

Why won't my Time capsule power on after shutting itself down?

Suggest that you unplug the Time Capsule from the power cord and let it rest for 15-20 minutes. Verify that the AC wall socket has power by testing another device like a lamp there.
Try to power the Time Capsule back up.
If it will not power up, unfortunately there has likely been a failure in the power supply section of the Time Capsule.
You will need to take the Time Capsule to an Apple store....if you have one near you....or contact Apple Support directly to go over your options.

  • Managed Server state "STARTING" after shut it down.

    Hello,
I have a really odd situation here. I have a Managed Server with a "STARTING" state but it is really shutdown. I have tried to do "Force Shutdown Now" but the only I can get is this:
Status of Last Action = TASK COMPLETED
    State = STARTING
I cannot start the Managed Server because Weblogic says it is in an incompatible state. I have tried to restart the Admin server and delete the folder /cache and /tmp but I cannot solve it. Any help please? Where does WebLogic keep track of the status of its managed Servers?
    Thank you,
    Oscar

    Hello Fabian,
I am using Solaris(unix). The managed server is not running. At least there is no weblogic process running on that machine (ps -ef | grep weblogic). I will try tomorrow to search of the name of the managed server as you suggested.
It seems that the Admin server saves the status "STARTING" in any place for that managed server. Tomorrow I will also try to start the managed server from command line and later on shut it down from the Admin server(GUI). Let's see whether the managed server sends the notification to the admin server telling him that it was shut down correctly.
    Thanks for your reply,
    Oscar

  • Is anyone else seeing memory leak/resource hogging in 3.6.15 -process fails to terminate after shutting it down, 170M memory usage, win xp pro

Running xp pro (up to date on updates)
if I leave firefox open for a while, then shut it down and later start it up I am told it is already running, looking at processes shows the process is indeed still showing with over 170M of memory usage (excessive).
Nothing odd was open, no adobe etc (adobe X is a whole 'nother issue )

I have the same problem (Firefox got up to a staggering 1.3GB of RAM!).
Well, I've managed to "fix" it (until it is fixed in Firefox itself) by a RAM optimizer.
I use Smart RAM, which is a small but great tool from the Utilities section in [http://www.iobit.com/advancedsystemcareper.html Advanced SystemCare], which got Firefox down to only 20MB of RAM.

  • IPad wont turn on after shutting it down

I was reading and the screen just went black, the I shut it down and now it doesn't want to start up again,  If I plug it into the computer it keeps making a "connecting" sound.  I have tried everything, holding the shut down button and the wake up button in. Plugging it into the computer wile holding the wake button and nothing is working, I even slapped it 3 times.  Please help!!!!

Don't slap the iPad. It's an electronic device with connections that you could jar loose if you slap it, or drop it. Try a reset.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

  • Macbook Air won't start up after shutting it down for about 20 minutes

I shut my MBA for about 20 minutes then I tried to turn it on but it won't let me, it is at 49% battery. I pressed the on/off button then waited for about 30 seconds but nothing happened, then i waited for longer and pressed again then it turned on. (I also heard the fans) Can you guys please tell me why this happened and how can I deal with it next time? Thanks a lot.

I would recommend a SMC reset.
    SMC RESET
    Shut down the computer.
Plug in the MagSafe power adapter to a power source, connecting it to the Mac if its not already connected.
On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time.
Release all the keys and the power button at the same time.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.
    PRAM RESET
    Shut down the computer.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step
    Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
    Release the keys.

  • Windows update hangs the system after shutting it down

I have shut down the system while it was updating the system (Microsoft update). Now it hangs, telling that update nr 11 of 13 is busy
    what should I do?
    The os is windows 8.1

The system should be able to start an automatic repair.
First of all you should perform a complete shut down of Win 8.1 as described in this document:
    http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB2B03EY0002R01.htm
After that you should reboot the notebook…. Usually the system would start a self-repair procedure which should fix the update issue.

  • Is there any way to write to a socket after shutting it down?

Guys is there any way to write to a socket after using the shutdownOutput() method?
I get this complain at runtime
java.net.SocketException: Cannot send after socket shutdown: socket write error

Your question embodies a contradiction in terms. Shutting down the socket means that you're telling the other end there is no more data. So you can't send more data. And even if you could, the other end wouldn't read it, because it would think it had already reached end of stream. Because that's what you told it.
If you don't want HTTP keep-alive, turn it off via the appropriate HTTP header.
You should be using HttpURLConnection for this, not a Socket. That takes care of your reading problem: it knows how to process the content-length header.

  • My computer has been through the black screen of death twice after shutting it down today.

Whenever I turned it on, only the sound of the disk running and the startup sound was there but the screen remained black. I've been told to do a hardware check using my system software disc but I'm currently abroad and I wont be getting hold of that disc until mid July this year..
Im scared to shut down my computer again.
**first black screen: Safe mode didnt work. I reset PRAM, shut it down and boot it again. Worked
second black screen: Again, safe mode didnt work. had to do PRAM resetting a couple times, didnt work. did an SMC reset, worked.
I'm worried none of these will work the next time.

If you don't have an external drive with you, go out and buy one. Make a clone backup of your system. If there is drive failure you want your data backed up. If you have to take your computer in for repairs, you will need a backup in case they wipe your drive.
Both of these applications can be used to create a clone.

Do you have FileVault enabled. Under certain conditions this can cause kernel panics.
Boot into the Recovery Drive (hold down Command R when restarting). Open Disk Utility on the recovery drive and select Repair Drive. Did you see any errors?

  • Hi, My mac book pro starts lag, after shut down is still the same. Every application is taking 3-6 seconds to open, if I type something in Word letter appears only after 2 - 4 seconds, Whats going on and how to fix it ?

    Very slow performance
Even after shutting it down and restarting still the same.
    Laggin a lot
    Please help!!!

First, back up all data immediately, as your boot drive might be failing.
A possible cause of a slow user interface is a large set of image or video files on the Desktop with preview icons. If you have more than a dozen or so such files, move them to another folder.
Another possible cause is iCloud activity, especially Photo Stream synchronization. If applicable, uncheck all boxes in the iCloud preference pane and see whether there's an improvement.
Otherwise take the steps below when you notice the slowdown.
    Step 1
Launch the Activity Monitor application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Activity Monitor in the icon grid.
Select the CPU tab of the Activity Monitor window.
Select All Processes from the menu in the toolbar, if not already selected.
Click the heading of the % CPU column in the process table to sort the entries by CPU usage. You may have to click it twice to get the highest value at the top. What is it, and what is the process? Also post the values for % User, % System, and % Idle at the bottom of the window.
Select the System Memory tab. What values are shown in the bottom part of the window for Page outs and Swap used?
Next, select the Disk Activity tab. Post the approximate values shown for Reads in/sec and Writes out/sec (not Reads in and Writes out.)
    Step 2
If you have more than one user account, you must be logged in as an administrator to carry out this step.
Launch the Console application in the same way you launched Activity Monitor. Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left.
Select the 50 or so most recent entries in the log. Copy them (command-C) to the Clipboard. Paste (command-V) into a reply to this message. You're looking for entries at the end of the log, not at the beginning.
When posting a log extract, be selective. Don't post more than is requested.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Important: Some personal information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting. That should be easy to do if your extract is not too long.
