To the apex team (wiki, blog and ask the expert)
Dear fellows,
Can you give an indication when wiki, blog and/or ask the expert applications will be available.
I'm looking forward ......
Best regards.
Leo
I was able to do this by logging in with FTP. I deleted contents of the "Collaboration" folder, restarted and set up my sites. It all worked like new.

How to deploy the Wikis, Blogs and Discussions Sample Portlets ?
Hi all,
I'm trying to deploy Wikis, Blogs and Discussions Sample Portlets located at
http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/webcenter/release11_demos.html (the demo at the bottom).
I've successfully, deployed the portlet to WebCenter Portlet service using JDeveloper 11.1.1.2.0.
And I've successfully register the porlet proivder in 11g Portal.
However, when I added the portlet to a new page, it returns error
"Error: Could not get markup. The cookie or session is invalid or there is a runtime exception".
I've recreated the page and refresh the screen. But still got the error.
Anyone know what's going wrong?
Thanks!
LarryI found that the sample code has hard coded the WikiRemoteService to be
http://localhost:7001/owc_wiki/services/WikiRemoteService
Our environment use another port. After chaning the port number, both interfaces of Wiki and Blog (I just added the two portlets in to a Portal 11g Page) could be loaded. Also, I can create blog, blog entry, add comment via the Blog interface.
However, Wiki portlet seems not working properly. The request I submit via the interface (e.g. show wiki) returns me error
"The service does not appear to be responding. Please enter a valid url."
Anybody has idea?
Thanks. -
10.5.7 update Wiki, blog, and Calendar stopped working
I'm running 10.5.7 server and like a noob, I updated without giving others a chance to figure out what problems might arise from this monster. My server is a live machine and unfortunately I sorta need this working ASAP.
Now that I've updated, none of my web services work. The basic site works, but the wiki/blog thing says there's no available groups. In workgroup manager, when I select a group (Library in this case), I want to be able to enable wiki and blog and Web Calendar. They're grey because now the "Enable the following services for this group on: (None)" is selected. When I click on the 'None' button there's no option to choose my community site.
In Server Admin, when I select "Web", then select my site. Then click, Web Services... Wiki and blog is checked. Also, the access list is blank, as it's always been...
Here's a look at the most recent error in my /Library/Logs/wikid/error.log before today, I'd never seen anything like it...

Any thoughts why 10.5.7 update would do this?

*edit* One more thing. When I select a user in WGM and click 'Advanced', then enable calendaring, I can't select a calendar host. There's no items in the list like there was before. It hyst says 'No Calendar Host Selected'. Again, this is enabled in the web services in Server Admin. Help!
Message was edited by: gracoatServer Admin -> web
select the website in question, make sure it is checked as enabled
Server Admin -> web -> Web Services
make sure the users/groups that require access are displayed, otherwise click and add them
Check Wiki and Blog
etc...
save
Workgroup Manager -> Groups Icon
Select the correct group
Select the website that you want (www.your_domain.com) from the popup menu where it says : Enable the following service...
Check Wiki and Blog
etc...
save
Server Admin -> web
Stop
Start
That should do it...
If you try to access the wiki on localhost it won't work, you need to go to the actual domain
http://www.your_domain.com
on an intranet if you are using private dns you can create a test website for example
DNS -> your-server-name.mac.private. -> 192.168.1.150
and you select the correct private site, you can
http://your-server-name.mac.private and you should see it fine
Best of luck... -
Restoring Wiki, Blog and WebCal after restoring from ODM archive
Two days ago my kerberos realm fell apart and I had to archive my open directory master (10.5.6 Intel) and restore back to it. Thankfully all of my users can log back into their accounts but all group wikis and user blogs are not displaying on the web. I've confirmed that the folders are still within the /Library/Collaboration directory but their permissions are clearly broken.
Has anyone successfully restored this data or should I write it off as lost?It is less likely that the data files are corrupted. Its more likely that the OD archive contains a corruption. Re-promoting the Open Directory to master and importing user and groups files with the old UIDs and GUIDs should bypass any corruption in the directory if web services were running well at some point before the directory came off line.

Wiki blog best practice for teachers
I am running Web services on a 10.5.8 server with wiki, blog, and calendar features enabled for a particular group.
What is the best practice for allowing a teacher to post assignments, media, etc., to his/her page while also allowing students to submit assignments (in video form) up on that page - BUT not allow them to edit the part the teacher has entered? It sounds like it should be a blog “comment”, but that does not allow them to upload files. I see there is the capability to “allow some group” members to write to this page – but how do I select which users (does not take me to a user selection option) - not sure that this is indeed what I am looking for anyway. If I allow all members to edit the page (wiki), there is little control for the page owner (teacher) to reduce student error, sabotage, or intentional goofiness.
Thanks for any advice. -
Enable group wiki/blog services on a specific virtual host
In Workgroup Manager im used to enable the following services for this group on a specific virtual host, this option is now grey and not accessible. Neither is the options below for turning on/off wiki, blog and calendar.
What happened here? Feels like 10.6 is more like 10.2.6 in functionality and manageability!I Have same problem. Im suspecting a ethernet bond related problem, as i had similar in 10.5 server. The ethernet bond takes one of the two MAC adressess from the fysical ethernet interfaces (eth1 or eth2). OS X server system somehow binds it services to them?

With Abhiram Kramadhati
Welcome to the Cisco Support Community Ask the Expert conversation. This is an opportunity to learn and ask questions about the upgrade, migration methods, and new features of the latest released Version 10.0 of Cisco Unified Contact Center Express (UCCX) with Cisco expert Abhiram Kramadhati.
Abhiram will address the following on the latest release of Cisco UCCX Version 10.0:
Installation
Upgrade from previous versions - both Linux and Windows
Migration from MCS to Cisco UCS environment - Different methods and best practices
New features - Overview and limitations
This discussion will center on install and upgrade best practices, changes in hardware support, and migration methods from MCS to Cisco UCS. He can also briefly discuss the new features introduced in 10.0. The discussion focuses the latest versions, but queries about general Cisco UCCX topics can be addressed too if time allows.
Abhiram Kramadhati is an engineer with the Contact Center Backbone group. He has been working with Cisco UCCX since he joined Cisco. During two years at Cisco, he has built his expertise around Cisco UCCX telephony applications, Java Telephony API (JTAPI) integration, Cisco UCCX system behavior, LDAP components, and Cisco UCCX as IP interactive voice response in Unified Contact Center Enterprise (UCCE) environments. He also works on other technologies, including Unified Communications Manager and UCCE. He has been involved in many technical escalations in the Asia Pacific region. Abhiram also holds a CCIE in voice (40065).
For more details about this topic, refer to the recently published Tech-Talk Video and Blog.
Remember to use the rating system to let Abhiram know if you have received an adequate response.
Abhiram might not be able to answer each question due to the volume expected during this event. Remember that you can continue the conversation in the Voice, Video, and Collaboration community, sub-community, Contact Center discussion forum shortly after the event. This event lasts through January 31, 2014. Visit this forum often to view responses to your questions and the questions of other community members.Hi Anurag,
Thanks for your questions.
1:Is there change in DB architecture as CUIC is the only option as compared to previous linux version UCCX ?
I assume this is from the tables regarding historical data. The database schema essentially remains the same since UCCX 9.0 had CUIC too and we had a seperate DB Space for CUIC and we still continue with that. The traditional historical tables remain and the replication process remains the same too.
2:Is there any version change for Linux OS used as VOS,
The Linux version is Red Hat Linux 5. To be precise:
[root@uccx10pub /]# cat etc/redhat-release
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.7 (Tikanga)
3:Is there any API architecture change in UCCX 10 from previous releases ?
I can answer this more of an overview. The only enhancement in the API side is the introduction of REST API step in the script editor. You can now make REST calls from the script and this ofcourse opens up a whole new world of possiblities.
4:Since from UCCX 10 , we can only use either CAD or Finnesse at one time, whats the impact of changing this after some time in production, let say , i used CAD for 2 months and then i decided to move to Finesse, whats the impact ? or is it a smooth change as switching CUIC and HRC in previoius release ?
For the scenario you mentioned, there is absolutely no problem. The point to note is that the Finesse services are activated/deactivated but the CAD desktop services are ALWAYS running. The only condition to keep in mind is that you can use ONLY ONE type of agent desktop at any time. Also if Finesse is not used and CAD operations are used extensively, it is advisable to shutdown the Finesse service.
5:Is 3rd Party UCS hardware supported by UCCX 10 instead of using Cisco manufactured UCS , can i use HP hardware for Virtualisation ?
Yes, it can be used. This is something called as "Third party specs based specification". The most important things seen for compatibility are:
Inter CPU Model
It it is on thVMWare Hardware Compatibilty List
You can get more information about this on the "Can I use this server?" section of UC Virtualized Hardware page:
http://docwiki.cisco.com/wiki/UC_Virtualization_Supported_Hardware#.22Can_I_use_this_server.3F.22
6:Is Host name change supported?
Yes, the hostname change is supported. The prcocedure is documented in the UCCX 10.0 Administration Guide:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cust_contact/contact_center/crs/express_10_0/configuration/guide/UCCX_BK_W1AF9DDD_00_uccx-admin-guide-10.0.pdf (Pg 168)

Ask the Expert: Packet Capture Capabilities of Cisco Routers and Switches
With Rahul Rammanohar
Welcome to the Cisco Support Community Ask the Expert conversation. This is an opportunity to learn and ask questions about packet capture capabilities of Cisco routers and switches.
In May 2013, we created a video that included packet capture capabilities across multiple Cisco routers and switches. For each product, we began with a discussion about the theory of the capabilities, followed by an explanation of the commands, and we concluded with a demo on real devices. In this Ask the Expert event, you’re encouraged to ask questions about the packet capture capabilities of these Cisco devices:
• 7600/6500: mini protocol analyzer (MPA), ELAM, and Netdr
• ASR9k: network processor capture
• 7200/ISRs: embedded packet capture
• Cisco Nexus 7K, 5K, and 3K: Ethanalyzer
• Cisco Nexus 7K: ELAM
• CRS: show captured packets
• ASR1K: embedded packet capture

Thanks for the topology. The trigger will be different for labelled packet as you would need to mention the values of labels too in the trigger.
Below are two examples of one or two labels being used, it depends on where you are capturing the packet in mplsvpn scenario which will decide teh number of labels being imposed on the packet.
Trigger for one label. (if the router on which you are capturing the packet PHP is being performed)
VPN label - 5678
Source Address - 111.111.111.111
Destination Address - 123.123.123.123
show platform capture elam trigger dbus others if data = 0 0 0 0x88470162 0xE0000000 0 0 0x00006F6F 0x6F6F 7B7B 0x7B7B0000 [ 0 0 0 0xffffffff 0xf0000000 0 0 0x0000ffff 0xffffffff 0xffff0000 ]
Trigger for two labels. (for other core routers)
IGP label - 1234
VPN label - 5678
Source Address - 111.111.111.111
Destination Address - 123.123.123.123
show platform capture elam trigger dbus others if data = 0 0 0 0x8847004D 0x20000162 0xE0000000 0 0 0x00006F6F 0x6F6F7B7B 0x7B7B0000 [ 0 0 0 0xffffffff 0xf000ffff 0xf0000000 0 0 0x0000ffff 0xffffffff 0xffff0000 ]
You can check the labels being used (by using show ip cef <> details) and covert their values to hex and change the trigger accordingly.
I have changed the colors for better understanding. If you notice carefully in the trigger the values for ip address, labels have just been converted to their respective hex values which could be replaced.
Please let me know if this helps.
Thanks & Regards

I will repost the whole messaqge with the correct external URL's:
In general, the Trustsec design and deployment guides address the specific support for the various features of the 'whole' Cisco TS (and other security) solution frameworks. And then a drill-down (usually the proper links are embedded) to the specifc feature, and then that feature on a given device. TS 2.1 defines the use of ISE or ACS5 as the policy server, and confiugration examples for the platforms will include and refer to them.

Ask the Expert: Single-Site and Multisite FlexPod Infrastructure
With Haseeb Niazi and Chris O'Brien
Welcome to the Cisco Support Community Ask the Expert conversation. This is an opportunity to learn and ask questions about Single-Site and Multisite FlexPod Infrastructure with experts Haseeb Niazi and Chris O'Brien.
This is a continuation of the live webcast.
FlexPod is a predesigned and prevalidated base data center configuration built on Cisco Unified Computing System, Cisco Nexus data center switches, NetApp FAS storage components, and a number of software infrastructure options supporting a range of IT initiatives. FlexPod is the result of deep technology collaboration between Cisco and NetApp, leading to the creation of an integrated, tested, and validated data center platform that has been thoroughly documented in a best practices design guide. In many cases, the availability of Cisco Validated Design guides has reduced the time to deployment of mission-critical applications by 30 percent.
The FlexPod portfolio includes a number of validated design options that can be deployed in a single site to support both physical and virtual workloads or across metro sites for supporting high availability and disaster avoidance. This session covers various design options available to customers and partners, including the latest MetroCluster FlexPod design to support a VMware Metro Storage Cluster (vMSC) configuration.
Haseeb Niazi is a technical marketing engineer in the Data Center Group specializing in security and data center technologies. His areas of expertise also include VPN and security, the Cisco Nexus product line, and FlexPod. Prior to joining the Data Center Group, he worked as a technical leader in the Solution Development Unit and as a solutions architect in Advanced Services. Haseeb holds a master of science degree in computer engineering from the University of Southern California. He’s CCIE certified (number 7848) and has 14 years of industry experience.
Chris O'Brien is a technical marketing manager with Cisco’s Computing Systems Product Group. He is currently focused on developing infrastructure best practices and solutions that are designed, tested, and documented to facilitate and improve customer deployments. Previously, O'Brien was an application developer and has worked in the IT industry for more than 20 years.

Single-Site and Multisite FlexPod Infrastructure - Video from live webcastI would suggest you read this white paper which details the pros and cons of direct connect storage.
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/prod/collateral/ps10265/ps10276/whitepaper_c11-702584.html This paper captures all the major design points for Ethernet and FC protocols.
I would only add that in FlexPod we are trying to create a highly available solution and "flexible" solution; Nexus switching helps us deliver on both with vPC and unified ports.
NPV equats to end-host mode which allows the system to present all of the servers as N ports to the external fabric. In this mode, the vHBAs are pinned to the egress interfaces of the fabric interconnects. This pinning removes the potential of loops in the SAN fabric. Host based multipathing of the vHBAs account for potential uplink failures. The NPV mode (end-host mode) simplifies the attachment of UCS into the SAN fabric and that is why it is in NPV mode by default.
So for your last question, I will have to put my Product Manager hat on so bear with me. First off there is no drawback to enabling the NPIV feature (none that I am aware of) the Nexus 5000 platform simply offers you a choice to design and support multiple FC initiators (N-Ports) per F-Port via NPIV. This allows for the integration of the FI end-host mode described above. I imagine being a unfied access layer switch, the Nexus team enabled standard Fibre Channel switching capability and features first. The implementatin of NPIV is a customer choice based on their specific access layer requirements.

Yes, there are some requirements for certificates in Expressway.
Expressway Core (Exp-C)
- Can be signed by either External or Internal CA
- Better to use a cluster name even if you start with 1 peer in Exp-C cluster. In the future, if more peers are added, changes would be minimal.
- Better to use FQDN of cluster as CN of certificate, this way the traversal zone configuration on Expressway-E won't require any change even if new peers are added to Exp-C cluster.
- If CUCM is mixed mode, include security profile names (in FQDN format) as Subject Alternate Names
- The Chat Node Aliases that are configured on the IM and Presence servers. They will be required only for Unified Communications XMPP federation deployments that intend to use both TLS and group chat. (Note that Unified Communications XMPP federation will be supported in a future Expressway release). The Expressway-C automatically includes the chat node aliases in the CSR, providing it has discovered a set of IM&P servers.
- For TLS b/w CUCM, IM-P & Exp-C
+ If using self-signed certificates on CUCM, IM/P. Load Cisco Tomcat, cup, cup-xmpp certificates from IM-P on Exp-C. Load callmanager, Cisco Tomcat certificates from CUCM on Exp-C.
+ If using Internal CA signed certificates on CUCM, IM/P. Load Root CA certificates on Exp-C.
+ Load CA certificate under tomcat-trust, cup-trust, cup-xmpp-trust on IM-P.
+ Load CA certificate under tomcat-trust, callmanager-trust on CUCM.
Expressway Edge (Exp-E)
- Signed by External CA
- Configured Unified Communications domain as Subject Alternate Name
- If using a cluster, select FQDN of this peer as CN and FQDN of Cluster + this peer as Subject Alternate Name.
- If XMPP federation is being deployed, enter the same Chat Node Aliases as entered in Exp-C.

Thank you very much for welcoming me to your expert discussion :) I feel to be in the right place, at the right time. Thank you also for answering question beyond your scope here, much appreciated. The information received will help me to go further as such I have submitted a 5 start rating for your first reply.
That sounds promising about the LMS part so yes, I stay tuned and wait patiently.
Ok, now let’s revert to the actual topic discussed here. Cisco Prime Service Catalog and Process Orchestrator solutions I have briefly read up on this on CCO (where elseJ) and picked out the following quote
---- Quote from the Cisco Prime Service Catalog Data Sheet
Today’s end users want self-service and easy access to IT tools and services.
Simultaneously, organizations are seeking ways to extend their cloud management
platforms beyond self-service delivery of virtual machines and infrastructure resources
while increasing their use of cloud-based solutions to enhance business agility and effectiveness.
Cisco Prime™ Service Catalog offers tremendous benefits to organizations that want to unify the ways in
which all types of IT services are ordered and fulfilled, not just infrastructure requests
---- un quote ---
I try to understand what (at high level of course) happens in the back ground when an order is raised and which vendor solution your product can interact with.
As mentioned in the quoted text, this service catalogue goes beyond the standard infrastructure.
Let’s say, a user wants to deploy a new email services, or in your example, extends or create a new web-portal (i.e. for HR to view and manage holiday, staff absence and benefits).
Your solution will need to interact somehow with the 3rd party vendor application that is capable building such portal I believe.
Without disclosing to many information, I assume the portal is linked to backend VM,s that spin up requested resources (and more magic of course). Perhaps I am mixing this up with another cisco product where a user can go on the portal and spin up virtual Firewalls, virtual Routers can be provisioned in now time.
Out if interest; Is this product also known as Mozart? (project code within Cisco?)
I hope query is ok.
Best wishes
