To turn-off resend dialog box in firefox

When clicked on back button ,firefox asks for whehter to resend details or not which is quite annoying is there any way to stop in code well or @ firefox end

I get around that message by not using the Back button on websites that I know from experience are going to want resend information when I "go back", by selecting the previous page I viewed in the history drop-down on the Unified button, I don't get that "warning box".
Either that, or I open the link in a new Tab and then close that Tab when I am done with that page.

  • How to turn off the dialog box in the Write to Spreedsheet File

I am saving data in a loop using "Write to Spreedsheet File". When I gave a constant path to this Vi, it was fine. However, when I gave a path defined by a global variable, it consistantly popup dialog box and asked for my choice.
How can I turn off that dialog box?
    Thanks.

Simply ensure that the path in the global variable is valid.
It could be that you have a race condition and the global is read before a valid value gets written to it from elsewhere. Can you show us some code?

  • Turn off print dialog box

I want to turn off the print dialog box in Adobe Reader.  I want a similar function "quick print"  that Word has in order to use Adobe Reader more efficently with other software.  Is this possible?

You will have to write some custom JavaScript and with versions 7 or newer or Acrobat/Reader, you will need to install a special script in a special application folder due to revised security restrictions.  You will also need to write a script file to add a menu item or tool bar button.
The basic Acrobat JS code is:
    // Print a file silently
    this.print({bUI: false, bSilent: true, bShrinkToFit: true});

  • Turn off save dialog box when the close command is executed

I would like to set the default value of the save dialog box to No when my users close my form, so they do not have to manual answer this question.  Is it possible to do this or is there a commmand I can place in docClose to tell the form to close without saving?
    Thanks
    -Anne

The Downloads folder defined in Mail/Prefs/General is just to temporarily store decoded attachments.
The Save dialog is available by pressing *and holding* the Save lozenge button next to the attachment(s) in the message header header, or right-clicking/save attachment on files visible in the message body.
(Having to click and hold the save button to get something useful is extremely bizarre, and IMO broken)
You can also drag and drop items from the message to a Finder window or whatever.

  • How can you turn off the spell checker in Firefox? (The menu option doesn't work.)

There was a solution to this I came across a long time ago, but I don't remember what it was. I want to turn off my spell checker in Firefox. The usual instructions given for doing this are to go into Options->Advanced and de-select "Check my spelling as I type". This doesn't work. Period. And this is a bug that has been around for a long time in Firefox.
What's a way to disable this? I don't like seeing a bunch of red lines under correctly spelled words that just happen to not be in Firefox's default dictionary, and I don't want to have to add things to my dictionary either.

Delete a possible user.js file and numbered prefs-##.js files and rename (or delete) the prefs.js file to reset all prefs to the default value including prefs set via user.js and prefs that are no longer supported in the current Firefox release.

  • How do i disable the open/save image dialog box in firefox? I want to directly save the image file to the drive.

How do i disable the open/save image dialog box in firefox? I want to directly save the image file to the drive without clicking on save option everytime when saving an image. I'm using firefox ver 35.0.1 for windows 7.

Click on the Firefox menu. Then click "Options". Go to "Applications" tab. Search for jpg and png file type. You will find they have "Always ask" action attribute. Change it to "Save file".
Hope it will work fine for you.

  • Mac Mail - How to turn off the animated "boxes"

Best place to put this question hopefully ? As they seem to have gotten rid of the dedicated "Mail" forum here.
In mail, how do you turn off them outlines/boxes that magically appear around a whole paragraph or number, etc.. when your mouse gets close ?
Its so annoying, and used to not do this. I am sure some people find this cute, useful and cool. I find it a nuisance since it messes me up when trying to copy and paste text here and there and structurally manipulate emails. My workflow just finds it "in the way" all the time and I never actually use what its purpose is. So I was hoping there was a way to turn it off so it doesn't do that.

Well you can always select 'plain text' from the format menu (or button in toolbar if installed) but of course you will lose formatting for the whole document.

Opened FireFox and have a continuous annoying police siren!! HOW do I turn OFF??? when firefox closed, siren goes away
    == This happened ==
    Every time Firefox opened
== this morning when I opened FieFox (May 21)

It's Pac-Man's 30th Birthday today, and Google's homepage is a playable Pac-Man game around the Google logo. My boyfriend had the same problem, then I went to Google and was like Hey, it's Pac-Man! And then the siren started. He plays fine on my laptop, but for some reason the music is stuck on his computer.
All you have to do is disable the "Cool Previews" add on for firefox. Go to the "Tools" link at the top of the browser, go down to "Add Ons", go to the "Cool Previews", click "Disable". Then restart firefox and it should be fine!

  • Turning off "help dialog" tip boxes

O.k., I've been a Mac guy since 2001 and am relatively proficient. However, whenever I rest the cursor over an area on an application the little yellow tip box appears and I cannot figure out how to turn it off. I'm not sure how long it has been doing it, it is just now getting real annoying.

Hi,Percheron 1, welcome to Apple Discussions.
Try this link.. http://www.macworld.com/weblogs/macosxhints/2007/07/safaritips/index.php .. which will show you how turn off the yellow tips boxes, firstly for Safari, then it leads you to turn them off for all apps. Changing the delay time before they appear may be all you need, hope this helps.
    Robert.

  • Turn off linking text boxes in Pages

I find the linking text boxes annoying because I'm always fighting trying to STRETCH a box and Pages wants to add a linking floating text box.
Does anyone know how to turn off this feature completely, so it never comes back on unless I want it to?
For a while it was OFF, and then all of a sudden I'm back fighting the linking text box feature when trying to move my text box where I want it.
Thanks for any suggestions or help!

    Pamela,
No, I don't believe that you can disable Text Box Linking. Just keep your mouse pointer away from the Link Handles.

  • How can I turn off the sounds of the firefox? I don't want to turn off my whole computer sounds, but just the sounds which comes from the internet. Is there any master button?

All the websites doesn't allow you to turn off the sounds, but that is just the thing I need to do. So how can I turn off the web browsers sounds? This is so small thing, that I refuse to believe that this kind of button doesn't exits.

In Vista you can set the volume and mute setting for each application separately in the volume mixer.
You can click the Volume icon on the Windows Taskbar near the clock and click the Mixer link at the bottom to open the mixer.<br />
You can adjust the volume level for each application in that window.<br />
You will only see the Firefox program in the Mixer if you are on a website that plays sound.
