To unhide the columns of " Record Working Time " table

hi experts ,
Can any one suggest me how to unhide some columns of the table "Record Working Time" .
Actually I have tried the following procedure : content admin -> portal content -> iview -> Rclickctrlalt and check the property of the table and displayed all the columns . It shows all the columns perfectly .
Finally , when I checked the table in Employee self service -> Working time -> Record working time , I can not see some columns which are visible in content admin "Record Working Time " iview .
It is a standard webdynpro java application "CatDataRecord" .

hi gorlisrinu  ,
Thanks for your reply .
I have all the administration right . When  I  check the iview in 'Content Admin' I can see all the columns , but when I check the same iview under  'ESS role' i can not see some of the columns  of "Record Working Table ". That is my problem . Can you tell me what is the reason behind it  ? I always save  all the changes after any modification .
Regards ,
Sumana

  • ESS - add a new column to Record Working Time table

    Hello all,
My client would like to add a column to the Record Working Time table in ESS. They would like to add a column for Activity Name next to Activity Number. Can anyone tell me where this can be congured? Or would this be something I would need to hard-code in the ess~cat source code?
    Thanks,
    -Kevin

I have figured out the 2 step process needed for this, involving Modifiable and Influencing. So I am able to add new fields. The only issue I am running into now appears to be dependant on the field name.
    I can add CATSD-VORNR
    But I cant add CATSDB-LTXA1
I have tried a few variations and it seems i can add fields from CATSD but not from CATSDB?
Has anyone else seen this or know what steps must be taken to display CATSDB-LTXA1?
    Thanks,
    -Kevin

  • Search Option in Fields in Record Working Time Table

    Hi,
In ESS, in Record Working Time table, there is search option provided in certain fields like for Rec. Order we have search option and when we click, screen pops up with advance search by Order Type,CO Area,Order,Description. In R/3 we have search option provided in all fields but not in ESS. How can we bring search option/functionality in fields like Receiver fund, Receiver Grant etc. in ESS for which this serch option/functionality is not provided. Thanks in advance for your valuable inputs.

  • How to decrease the column length in working time (CATS) table

    Hi all,
Can you please tell me how we can decrease the column length in CATS table in the portal. Is it something we can do in webdynpro or in the back end.
    Thanks in advance.
    RK Reddy

I was looking for something similar and ran across OSS Note 989453. I would recommend checking out this note to see if it helps. Apparently, there is a JAVA program error that makes the columns wider than they need to be.
We have not yet tried this so if you happen to use it, let me know how it works for you.

  • ESS Record Working Time Table construction

    Hello,
I am trying to modify the ESS Cats webdynpro for java application and cannot figure out how the table for time entry is constructed after the first 2 header rows ....as for the first 2 rows I found the method addFixHeaderLines() in the VcCatRecordEntry Component which has 2 separate view controllers for Weekly and Daily tables construction in the respective tabs...
If anybody has any idea about the above ...please help..

It was not in the Detail view...but in a separate .java file...ListViewerSlim.java ..if anybody has worked on it then please let me know...
    Thanks

  • Header information not displaying in ABAP Webdynpro record working time

    1. I am not seeing the header information, personnel number, name, cost center, on the ABAP Webdynpro record working time timesheet. When I run the timesheet profile in CAT2 the header contains the personnel number, name, cost center, but these do not display when the ABAP Webdynpro timesheet is run
    2. Is there a version of the ABAP webdynpro timesheet that prompts for the personnel number, date and profile prior to executing the timesheet?  I want to define an ESS link for managers to update timesheets of individual teammates.  The teammate do not necessarily have to be their direct reports

    Hi David,
CATS Webdynpro application is a OIF fpm. Please check if you have performed the FPM IDR configuration properly.
In standard, the ESS CATS does not prompt for the personnel number except in CE scenario. In MSS addon, you have an option to launch the ESS CATS application on-behalf of the employee. Please refer to the sap library documentation.
    Hope this helps,

  • Recording Working Time issue

    Hello Guru's,
We are working on Time Management and for this we are using Working Time iView in Employee Self-Service role.
We are using Record Working Time and in this we record the working times and in the WBS Element cell there is option like F4 which opens up a popup and we can search for Projects (or WBS element) I want to make changes to that screen.
Please guide me where to do the changes for that?
I looked into the code but couldn't find.
Thanks in Advance for your time.
    Regards,
    Pramod

    Hi Pramod,
In order  to modify the standard webdynpro record working time application , you have to do below steps.
Import source code ( XSS Components ) in NWDI
    Create a track.
From Developer studio , connect to DTR and  check out the source code .
Create the sap.com/ess~cat (DC') project in NWDS.
Modify the standard SAP code as per your needs .
Refer JDI Cookbook for ESS.doc for above tasks.
    Thanks

  • CATT Record Working Times ESS

    Hi everyone,
What I need to know is if there is any possibility to add by customizing without any development new fields in the Record Working Times Table. The fields I want are from(hours) / to (hours) for each work day in the weekly view, like it is displayed in the SAP GUI transactions. The hours are available in the daily view and also in the SAP GUI for the weekly view, so I hope its just customizing but I would like to know if anyone has done this as we need our employees to enter time in and time out. Any help as soon as possible will be greatly rewarded...

In the old ITS transaction CATW you cloud display the hours in the weekly view, but the window got so wide that you lost overview. A lot of customers did complain about that. Therefore SAP developed the weekly overview and the daily detailed view, which is a lot better that the old ITS CATW.
Our time-people raised the question, but SAP did reply that it is not possible to show hours in the weekly view, and they has no intension of developing this function.

  • ESS - working time - record working time - blank site

    Hi,
if i follow the link <u>record working time</u> in the working time overview i get a blank site.
    Has somebody an idea why?

    Hi Prabhakar,
I looked into the Portal Content directory. Where do i find the Record Working Time iView?
I only see the iViews from the package:
    - benefits and payment (x2)
    - career and job (x2)
    - career & job
    - employee search (x2)
    - overview
    - personal information (x2)
    - purchasing (x2)
    - travel and expenses (x2)
    - work environment (x2)
    - working time (x2)
x2 = one ist "area" and one is "serv"

  • Start and End Time in Record Working Time- Weekly View

    HI,
In record working time we have 2 views, daily and weekly. In daily view, we have start time and end time, which we do not have in weekly view. Can these 2 fields be incorporated in Weekly View?

    Hi Siddharth,
Can you please clarify what "iView development using NWID" really means?
    - Is that Java Web-dynpro development? - Can it be either Java Web-Dynpro or ABAP web-dynpro?
    - Does it mean that we have to customize the standard-delivered “record working time” application, or does it mean that a custom copy of the application needs to be developed?
    Thank you!
    Daniel.

  • Rule Groups in Record Working Time- Differnt attendances for different emp

I have a requirement. I have 2 different set of employees Salaried and Hourly. In record working time these 2 different set of employees should have differnt set of attendance types in the drop down. I know in Leave request this can be achieved via Rule Groups and WEBMO, but how do I do the same in Record working Time?

I can recommend better to use User exits or build a custom search help or a check depending upon employees criteria
Now in CATS WD as you are aware uses different search help
    ie CLASS CL_XSS_CAT_RFC_COMMAND_TOOLS method BUILD_F4_HELP
    SAPLHRXSS_CAT_WEBDYNP          / LHRXSS_CAT_WEBDYNPU02
    FUNCTION                       / HRXSS_CAT_WD_F4_AWART
This would be straight forward. Using authorisation would be tough to implement

  • How to restrict the dropdown values in Att/abs type in Record Working Time

    Hello experts,
We are implementing ESS business package.  In the Record Working time, within the Weekly View and Daily View tabs, there is a column Att/abs.type which has several drop down values - like:  floating value, Funeral Leave, Military Reserve, Regular Attendance, etc.   Our requirement is to restrict the dropdown values  by means of showing only one of these values (say:  Regular Attendance) and others should not be shown.   How do we achieve this?
    Thanks
    Vicky R.

    Hi Siddarth,
Thanks for the info.  By the way, this table info is not mentioned in the Business Package documentation.  Which documentation are you referring to?
    Thanks

These two are manager user ids. For employee user ids time sheet is working fine.
